This is a scam! You go on the site and they force you to rush your order so you don't even see their terms and conditions. Then they charged me $9.95 which if what I agreed to. Then a week later all of a sudden there is a charge on my account for $149.90! What? I called the company (and called, and called, and called). I finally spoke with Erin in customer service. She informed me that just by going on their website I agreed to their terms & conditions. No I did not! There was no place for me to select "I Agree" and this is crazy. They don't do refunds and I can only exchange my merchandise. They only sell the one thing. Why on earth would I want to exchange my product for the exact same thing?

I totally agree with "Still Smokin". They did the same thing to me and then when I got it it was always malfunctioning. They agreed to replace it and I sent it to them on March 19th and call them yesterday stating that they have not received the defective merchandise yet and to contact the Post Office. I wish I would have put tracking on this thing. Stupid me for believing these people. I also questioned them about the atominizer. My friend got his through GreenSmoke.com and their prouduct comes with a fresh atominizer with every nicotine cartridge unlike the Smokefreely on that does not. So in other words you better quite smoking before the atominizer goes out or go back to regular cigaretts like I had too. It did take me a few days to actually reach them.

I agree, I also ordered this product ( Prado E-Cigarette on line) I did not receive the product untill the 11th day after the order, but they debited my account the $149.90. When I called the company I was treated very rudly and gave the same story by Aaron, they I spoke to a Shaun and he was even worse. I called this company on the 7 day after the order to cancel it and they gave me a return authorization to send them back when I did receive them but the RA expired on 4/6/10 and I never received them untill 4/5/10. This is a HUGE SCAM and false advertising. 100% Satisfaction Guarantee What a joke. 10 Day Free Trial ? I never got them until 11 days after I ordered them and I never agreed to them debiting my account.

I also somehow got tied to this company this Prado or SMoke Freely or Ecig for free the go by several names can provide no corp number or owner or board of trustee name and when they were incorporated or where they are even licensed since the BBB has nothing on them either other than complaints... I noticed the 149.95 charge in my account I never even saw they snuck a 9.95 one in prior to that and then tried 7 times to draft another 69.90 after my bank blocked the account for them and when I called i got a Jake also very rude would not provide last name but claims he was a supervisor and that I was a liar and obviosuly ordered this and that he had confirmation that i received it though all received was what appears to be some short cigarret ends that you are suppose to place into god only knows what junk from what I hear ...and that unless I write and acknowledge that i ordered this and now want to cancel the order they will continue to draft my account and pursue those charges...i reported them to the Arizona better business bureau and I suggest anyone else that has issue do the same...

My wife and I experienced the same problems with Pardo. It cost us the $9.95 plus $149.95 and two charges of 69.90.
We are both in our 70's and on retirement income. We like you got suckered into this program because it sounded like such a good opportunity to try quitting again for the 100th time. It is unfortunate there companies like Pardo - but don't worry their time will come and they have to live with their conscience -- if the have one -- but doubtful.

I will take the opportunity to notify the State of Kansas and our local BBB.

I had the same problems with that company. I order it on 20 april then cancelled on 21 april and got a return code. But i never received the product and its now 4 May. On 21 April i called my credit card company and cancelled all credit authorizations with this company. Sent a email to company today 4 May to cancell subscription and request read receipt on email. Lets see if they read my email as i sated any further charges to my credit card would be considered fraud.

Just yesterday, got my product. Battery was not charging, so today I called the company and they said that they will send me a new one. When I asked them about the ten days trial period he told me the between mail time he could not give me another ten days of trial. So I told him that I will send him the hole thing back and called my bank to change my credit card number. That way, they cannot charge me anything else.

The company did the same thing to me. We need to send emails to eveyone on our email list about this scam. I also filed a complaint with consumeraffairs.com plus sent all the information to the FTC. If we continue our crusade against this company and PREVENT one customer this agony we will have done a good deed.
They go by all these different names : SMOKE FREELY E-CIG PRADO AND A NEW ONE THAT IS SHOWING UP IS AMA. I suggest until we can get this on national TV we continue the email battle against them.

I have had the same complaint about Prado. Sent email to them to stop unauthorized charges and called my card company to have a block put on them. After reading the complaints on this website I can see that I will need to get a new credit card number. They put a charge on my account for $19.51 on 4/20 and then $150.79 on 4/30. Not to mention the product does not work. I'm going to contact the BBB regarding this fraud asap.

WOW! How shocking - the same thing happened to me, but I was not fortunate enough to get to talk to anyone rude or otherwise. When I saw that $149.00 charge and it didn't say who it was to, I went to my bank and sure enough Prado (Smoke Freely) was the charge. I wrote them a letter saying they WERE NOT authorized to send or charge my debit number, but my bank said the only thing I can do is get a new debit card. Now my cartridge stopped working and I don't want to contact them, because they will still have my debit # and I probably won't get the new product anyway. How can they stay in business? Oh yea they have all our debit numbers. What a crappy company to deal with.

Got the package, works great, love it. Did not know how to put it together, called, they were short to a point, but okay over the phone.
I do agree with rushing you through when one signs up. I had no idea what I ended up with in the end, rush, rush, rush. The $23.95 became $34.95. I do believe I ordered for $34.95 although I believed I should have gotten something for free, maybe I read wrong, rush, rush, rush, plus no verification in the end.
I must be lucky sofar or maybe they changed their tune. I am really happy with the Prado e-cig.

I got mine several mo's ago and I got it through one of those ---fill out 5 million surveys and get on twice as many email marketing list things "if you order 2 of our sponsors product we'll give you ...etc." Anyway I EVENTUALLY got to what I was trying to get to but I had to buy something first. One of those somethings was a magazine that I just love and the other was the Prado smokeless cigarettes. I loved it. I still would if I wouldn't have left it in my pocket and washed it lol. But I digress. I haven't had a single problem with them. I'm sure everyone with complaints are telling the truth though I personally never had any problems. . I had no problems when I reordered the little butt things that have the actual "smoke" vapor stuff in them. They charged what they were supposed to and sent it in a timely manor no probs there either. I'll let you know how things turn out when I order the replacement part that I screwed up. I hope I'm not about to throw my money away. I hope everybody has a good resolution to their complaints. I hope I'm not about to be one that has a complaint next. Wish me luck ;).

Just got scammed for the Free Trial, got charged $149.90. I did actually receive the product, it wasn't terrible, it's not going to help me quit smoking. My suggestion is to call your bank, even if it's just a checking account. The TD Bank customer service chick was super helpful, cancelled my card. I just have to go in tomorrow and get a new card, sign the dispute charge form and my money will be back in!

SCAM RIP OFF makes charges for nothing to your credit card, product is terrible, call your bank and stop pay ASAP, I called mine and I also called there customer service which refused to let me return the product and said I would have to pay 75.00 shipping even if I keep the product...? priority mail is 4.95, product is sold in malls so if you really want to try this product I suggest go to mall or tobacco shop. VERY UPSET

i'm just another sucker who fell for their scam...my card was charged $149.90, WHICH WAS UNAUTHORIZED, and when i called them they tried to tell me that when i gave them my card # the agreement stated that if the product was not returned within 14 days from the time the order was placed, i would be charged this, PLUS an additional monthly charge for refill catridges...They refused to let me return it now for ANY type of credit, only 8 days later...I am furious ! I told them there had better NOT be any more charges to my card and that I would post a blog everywhere about what a rip-off they were ! I hope that some people will read these complaints BEFORE they place an order with "smoke freely", "e-cigs", "prada", and whatever other names thaey go by ! AND, by the way, when I received their product the packing slip said NOTHING about a trial period, a return policy, or anything...there wasn't even a phone number to contact them . What kind of a company does business like that ?!? I wonder how many thousands of people have fallen for this SCAM and lost $ 150.00 ! I AN NOT A HAPPY CAMPER !

prado is nothing but a scam . I hope everyone who is reading these comments before they bought and not after like i did. Icalled the company just to listen to a very rude person, saying something about a 14 day trial. Iknow there was no trial period listed. I didnt want to get in on one of these deals like they have on tv about so much for trying it then pay later. I contacted my bank right away and filled out fraud papers and canceled my debt card. But sounds like i maybe out of $151.10. one more sucker hit the dust. I thought this would never happen to me!

I was also a victim of this fraud. No where on their website does it say anything about a 14 day trial. Not only that, but it's been a month to the day since I've ordered and checking my bank statement online I found that I had been charged another $69.90! I promptly made a call to their customer service. I was told about a promotion for $40 off which I declined. I have only used 3 of the 20 cartridges I received with this product. I told them that I did not want the product and was told that I had requested them when I made the purchase online. I am POSITIVE I did no such thing. The customer service rep told me that she was unauthorized to grant returns and I asked to speak with someone who is authorized to do so. I got some rhetoric about how her supervisor would tell me the same thing and again offered me the $40 discount. I told her that I did not want a discount, I wanted a refund. I asked her nicely to cancel the order (I assume that since my card was charged today it hadn't shipped) but was told it had shipped YESTERDAY! Who ships product without payment for it? At any rate, after rebuffing all attempts by the customer service rep to get me to accept the discount, she finally offered me an RMA number (which she had told me she wasn't authorized to do but I wasn't going to press the issue) and a $69.90 refund. I was told that if I didn't return the product that I would be charged the $69.90 again, but as I am positive I will be returning it I was not worried. On hind sight I should have gotten the tracking number for the package so that I can verify that they did indeed send it. In fact, after I visit my bank I will call them back.

My regret is that I let my guard down while looking surfing the web. I found the link embedded in city newspaper website and actually thought the advertisement was an article. For the first time in a long time I did not research a product before buying and am paying the price. Do your research! Thank you complaintsboard.com for supporting those of us who have been cheated.

i also ordered the $9.95 offer. no place did it say that i would be charged anything else. the charge on my card was $10.02, but i let that go. then i got the charge for $151.09. what the heck is that for? i called and was told that just by checking them out i was agreeing to all the terms and charges if i ordered. after 20 min. of heated discussion, they did agree to refund $70.00. well at least that is something. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY... I felt they would be a trustworthy business because of the recommendations from the news media. it is evident that they did not have to order or pay for the product. STAT AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AS YOU CAN...

My friend is having the EXACT! same problem and being given nothing but a runaround. Call center floor managers do NOT spend multiple hours in meetings, I used to work in a call center and While the call center supervisor might spend an hour or two in corporate meetings, Floor managers got 15 minute briefs at the beginning and end of each shift ONLY. This is the ONLY policy that makes any sense to me so these people are pulling a massive scam! OH and her promotional price was $5.95, but she was charged the full $149.90 I'm just wondering is anyone considering a class action against them?

My friend lives on a very small income and the overdraft fees wiped out about half of her monthly income! That's the problem with these scams, they target people that can't afford to sue! Is there any help for the little guy anymore?

Hi - Just spent 20 mins on the phone with a person at the call center - it was not too bad once you get over the shock of being ripped off!

The beginning was just the same as everyone else. However I was charged $69.90 for cartridges as well. So the first thing was they would give you $40 back. Then if you returned the cartridges they will give the the full amount (ask for an RMA - return authorization #). Then I asked about returning the entire item and after a bit of a run around (there are no supervisors, etc etc.) they WILL refund you $70 immediately. I look on this a lesson learned for $80 - not great but better than nothing!

The real value is for websites like this and the comments that are posted which helped me with getting at least a partial refund!

I saw an advertisement for e-cigarettes I was supposed to be charged $4.95 for the product, I found out that they had charged my account $149.90 I did not agree to this no where in their terms and agreements does it mention $149.90. I contacted a number that was given on my bank account statement, I reached a call center I was told it was in Scottsdale. Arizona I was then told that they in Malta. They would not let me talk to a supervisor or manager, all of them were in conference then they were on a conference call to Malta. They would not let me speak to anyone in charge, they just kept saying no to my request I called from 9am until 6pm no one in authority was there according to several different telephone operators. By taking $14990 out of my account it ended up costing me over $400.oo I never authorized them to take 14990 out of my account I was scammed Who can I contact to get some action on getting back my money. I will continue to call the call center to demand my money back here is the call center number [protected] Everyone who reads this I would appreciate you calling them and demand the money back for Wanda Mullins, If you have been scammed by these people give me your name and I will call them for you. I Purchased an electronic cigarette from Sir August Bart Company on October 12, 2010 the stated price was $4.95 in the ad. I received the product approximately five days later. Two weeks later I received another bill for $149.90 plus a $3.99 foreign purchase charge no where in the ad did they state it was a two week trial period. When I called them about it they said I agreed to the terms and that all they could do was refund $70.00. They have deceptive advertising practices and something should be done to correct this!

You are so right! I have contacted a law firm that specializes in class action suits, but they have showed no interest yet. I think it's time to bring Ethics as well as Legality back into business! If enough people contact these class action firms, sooner or later maybe one of them will pick up the banner and run with it. If an 80 year old woman can sue Mcdonald's for millions after SHE burned something she wasn't even using anymore, It's time some REAL issues were taken care of!

I to only saw the 9.95 for a starter kit. No where did I see anything about 149.99 or the 69.99 that is mentioned above. They hit my bank and Chase called me about fraudulent activity. They cancelled my card on the spot and are sending a new one.I did not agree to ANY other charges! nor was there any place to agree or accept them. This is fraud and embezzlement to me! they should all be charged with these crimes and LOCKED UP! Along with refunding any and all monies to the people who fell victim to this scam. It's hard enough to quite smoking without these people playing mind games. Leading you to believe you are choosing a safer method to smoke. meanwhile the product does not work as claimed. plus they are sneaking charges to your card! Which some people will not even know about until they receive their next statement/bill. I will be filing a complaint to the BBB and sending this information to the local TV station in hope that they will expose this fraudulent scheme. Burned but not out!

Like some of the other complaintants I responded to the trial offer price of $9.95 and then ran across the ripof Report and decided to check on charges to my card. There it was $149.90 which I did not agree to based upon what I read. My bank 53 reimbursed my account and the overage charges that this charge created and that was in Nov. 2011. In Dec. 2011 I received a notice that the company had proof of my purchase. This was after I had changed cards and numbers to stop additional charges. It appears the oly thing left to do is contact the Attorney General of Kentucky andhave him chek into false and misleading advrisements and place this company on a do not sale in Kentucky for their fraudulent actions.
I have not problems with the quality of the gift that I bought to help another person. I peronally can not soke due to a hear condition and would not of purchased this item for $149.90 even if it was on payments. My ticket shows the purchase price of $9.95 and there isno mention of any additional charges or balance due.

Horrible comany, The first thing you do is call the bank or credit card and close the account. I made a mistake to purchase this kit but two days later I checked the complaints thank God for those who placed them. The first thing I did close my bank card. I should not get any more charges besides the 12.95 which i can live with that.
Please we should all learn a lesson to check the companies before for reiviews so we dont purchase anything since so many companies are scams these days. Its bad as it is with so many company downsized people, last thing we need to be scamed by someone that we can wind up with no bread to eat and everything is so expensive.
