Last month I tried to make a payment & it wasn't credited, I called and got the run around. I the called my bank that said they made the payment, it wasn't accepted by Tribute! They pulled the money back. 2 days later I got the letter. Well not only did they shut my credit down, they refused payment & I have it in writing from my bank...
Let's see if they try to collect!

I also had the same bad service as everyone else. I tried using my card and it declined. Went online and notice my credit limit had been changed to $0.00. Then received a vague letter about 2 weeks after they had already closed my account stating that Tribute was discontinuing my program but no real explaination as to why. I called the customer service department to see how this would effect my credit score. I was assured as long as the remaining balance was paid on time monthly, nothing would happen. I received an email alert from a company I use to keep track of my credit report, notifying me that Tribute had reported that I requested for my credit card to be closed the that the account type was considered a "Late Account". I have had a great payment history with this company never late. This error has reduced my credit score by 20 points. When I contacted them again regarding the new issue they advised me that they will not help and to file a disputed with the credit bureau's.
I'm suggesting to everyone check your credit report. This is ridiculous that companies can get away with this type of horrible service. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB and my location attorney general's office...Don't let them get away with this.

I cannot believe the this company can still exsist! I have been with them for almost 3 years and never once had a late payment, started at 300.00 credit limit and worked it up to 1350.00. I have been working on my credit report for I had to file bankrupcy a few years ago. And is it leagal for them to charge us monthly services after the shut us right off? I didn't even receive notice, just the ugh look from a cashier telling me they declined you. I got home and called to hear the closed everyones account.

Tribute cancelled my card for me being nine days late, which I think is stupid. Considering I had never been late in the past. In fact, I paid early and sometime twice in one month. They even increased my credit limit, just to turn around and cancel my card! I even spoke to a representative who stated if I made my pay with her by phone I was assured the card would not be cancelled. I called the call center back to back to get the status changed and I was told there was no way the make changes to the system. Which I know not to be true because it's a machine, the same way you tell it to make automatic status changes you can tell it to change back. I find it to be a rip-off, I know why they cancel customer cards, so they can start you over with a different interest rate, new fees, and a lower credit limit. Then the government, wants to know why the ecomony is the way it is... for BS! companies like this trying to suck blood from a turnip.

They changed my account number back in june and after several phones calls they finally sent my new card out. the day i got a new card with an increase and a letter saying they was closing the account. why did they bother to send a new card if they was closing it. i too worked really hard to help build my credit and now what. i too want in if there is a lawsuit. i thought they had to give you 90 days. what they did was wrong. now they tripled my payments. and if they closed down who is getting those payments?

I always made my payments on time. The interest rate sky rocketed and the annual fee when up to almost 100.00 dollars without any notice. So that made me go over the limit. I called them and told them that I could not afford that, because I lived on a fixed income. By the way my Credit limit was raiseed to 1000.00 dollars the year before, ( 2008). So I canceled my card. They had all my Bank information and I was paying them off in checks, because I could not get back on line to make a payments. So they took it upon themselves to set up autopay from the other end and they were geting a check plus a payment by autopay. So I called them and told them that I did not set up auto pay. They said that I had set it up in June of 2009. And get this, they also unlocked my accont over the computerso that now I could makepayments on line. But I closed out my account at Bank of America and now I send them money orders with date confirmation for delivery and that is still not working, they post my account informatiom when they get ready. Ihave bank statements and post office confirmation forms if needed. . My account is not going down it is getting charged for thigs that shouldn't be there. At this rate I will never pay them down because they will keep coming up with more and more excuses to charge me. Thank You Priscilla Anthony.
