Goodyear good year tires

With under 27,000 miles on my Wrangler tires, two had to be replaced (L/R and R/F) within three months of each other, when I asked about pro rating, I was told no. Both tires had a shifted belt. This truck has only been used for camping, it is a 2019 Silverado 2500HD and I am the original owner, the tires had tons of tread and looked to be in excellent condition.

Recommendation: do not buy

Goodyear Goodyear Auto Service, Savannah, GA - "Berwick" location

Date of Service - Feb 10, 2024

I had a brake issue with one of our vehicles (losing brake fluid and brake pedal going all the way to the floor) so I brought it (2012 Ford Edge) to the Savannah, GA (Berwyck location.) After inspection...they told me I needed a complete rear brake overhaul: 2 rear brake calipers, 2 rear rotors, new brake lines and a brake flush. The manager says..."The good news Mr. Price is that this will only cost you $1250" to which I replied, "No, the good news is that it's all under warranty!" After fighting with the manager for several minutes that they had done the same job not too long ago (in March 2023) and everything he told me needed fixing was under warranty, he "finally" finds it in his computer. "Okay...you're covered" he says.

When I go to pick up my car later that same day, I expected my bill to be $0.00 but they wanted to charge me with a $157 for an "Engine Diagnostic Test". I refused to pay such a fee for a brake issue. I did finally agree to pay a "brake diagnostic fee" of $25. It wasn't until I got home later that evening that I realize that the only part that was replaced was a single brake caliper.

I went back to the Goodyear location on Wednesday, Feb 15th to confront the manager. After much discussion, I asked him if he saw it as unethical to tell me that my vehicle needed multiple parts replaced (at a cost of >$1200 w/ labor), but after I proved to him that all the work he said was needed would be under Goodyear's warranty (24 months / 24,000 miles)...miraculously, the only part that actually needed replacement was a single rear caliper. He said "No" and something about "...the Goodyear way."

At that point I took my receipts back from him and walked out the door.

Claimed loss: Could have been >$1200 but because I am an educated consumer, I was not significantly harmed. However, I was charged $25.80 for services that probably should have been free.

Desired outcome: I would like an apology, and an acknowledgement of wrongdoing by Goodyear, and a refund of Invoice # [protected] @ $25.80.

Goodyear Tires

I bought four kelly tiers from goodyear on reading road 7135 reading rd. Cincinnati, ohio and i'm having problems with two tiers that brought from goodyear. So, I took my car to have a road force balance tires done on 1-12-24 and two tires were out of spec reading at 26lbs left front tire and back right tire out of spec 20lbs. So I went to were I bought the tires and show the paperwork, I ask them to replace or fix the two tires that are out of spec that all I want is what I pay for. Goodyear Deceptive employee

I've been going to the Goodyear Auto Service in Hempstead, NY for at least 5 years, today I had an experience that will stop me from ever using any Goodyear store again. On my lunch break today the tire pressure went down to 23 and kept going down as I was driving. Took it to Goodyear to get the tire checked out, and was told my the person at the front desk that there was a nail in the tire and the tire had to be replaced. Since the tire no longer had hazard protection it would cost me $351 to replace my tire for my 2014 Grand Cherokee, I asked why so much he said I had a 20"tire. He also said the other tire in the back had to be replaced, but no worries since this would not be full price since it was under warranty. As I was walking back to work he called to say the 2nd tire was not under warranty, so that would be $752 for two tires. When I returned to work, I went on the Goodyear website and the 20" tire Goodyear Forterea HL was $228, I called him to ask why there was a difference. Of course, he was shocked and agreed to honor the website price, I don't know what he was trying to pull but business should not be run this way. Actually I was there last month for an oil change, and the mechanic told me I need a new battery when I had just gotten a new battery from Pep boys the month before. So I guess I'm saying don't go the Goodyear in Hempstead, NY because they will try to steal your hard earned money. Buyer beware, and verify what they say. I saved myself over $200, but who knows since he could have lied about the tires having to be replaced

2012 Nissan Sentra

Had my 2012 Nissan towed in for service to your location.

Diagnostic was preformed and I was told that there is a mis fire, and the following is recommended.

Replacing plugs, coils. fuel treatment.

Was informed by Kyle that all is fixed and was explained to all that was done and thank you for my business.

I paid my Bill of the amount of $890.36 drove home parked the car and pre-loaded it for a catering event for the Saturday morning the 18th.

The morning of the 18th after loading the prepared items for the event, I proceeded to leave where I BROKE down Resulting in having to call a Tow truck per Goodyear to be taken back for service and not being able to perform the catering event that was scheduled foe the Saturday morning of the 18th that was explained to Kyle Ihave photos that was taken.

Speaking with Kyle Was then told by Kyle Mis Diagnostic was performed that I "Quote" the coil wire that we installed was Bad.

Then was told by Kyle that a Fuse in the ECCS continues to pop my son drove up to the store and supplied Kyle a replacement Fuse.

Was again told I was good to go which in my third trip back on that Monday morning the 20th with the car again sputtering, was told by Kyle this is a Nissan problem that Nissan needs to look it over and re set the computer.

End result Took my car to a private Mechanic the Mechanic found that the car was not getting fuel and the fuel pump assembly was bad.

Replaced the fuel pump and the assembly that resulted in the additional cost of $475.00 Dollars.

i requested a refund due to the work that was performed by good year was not needed that resulted in not being the problem to fix my vehicle. i was told NO which i stated I will take this matter up with your area manager which was extremely disappointing on the professionalism that was displayed by the area manager. I have now taken the matter a refund to the good year claims dept with the same results a Very unprofessional person on the name of Frank Hartley that has done nothing beside make Excuses of being short staffed and will not return phone calls on this matter or solve the problem.

Goodyear Storage fee are predatory

On july 9th of 2023 my car was towed to goodyear. My insurance company failed to reach out to confirm the car as there. The car was totaled, and until i reach out to them (goodyear) they say the didn’t ‘know what it was there for. In m reaching out we found good year car care wanted to charg $36000 to repair the 2015 c300. When they couldn’t get that amount the decided to charge $550 a day for storage. In doing so they caused my insurance company to decline my full coverage payment to my lienholder. I am now in the hole for over $14k, on a vehicle i do not own nor have.

I have since purchased a vehicle under my insurance carrier guidelines believing they had this coved. That was not the case. Also, with car care doing so they jeopardized by gap insurance so they will not pay the remaining balance as it is a storage fee and not a vehicle charge.

Please, please take action, have them (goodyear car care) refund the overage in fees charged to me the consumer(s).

I have two car notes, and one car. I can’t purchase a home due to the outstanding amount due to my lienholder.

Again, please stop them from utilizing predatory methods of getting paid. And refund me the dollars owned to my lienholder.

Claimed loss: Loss of money, and home purchase. may cause me to loose the vehicle i have for a replacement as well.

Desired outcome: PLEASE REFUND THE $6-7,000 OWNED MY LIENHOLDERS FOR A VEHICLE I DO NOT OWN OR POSSES ANY LONGER DUE TO THERE FEES TO STORE A VEHICLE WHEN IN THE AREA THE GOING RATE IT LESS THAN $100 A DAY.

Goodyear Tire warranty

I have 2 Goodyear Wrangler that have separations. I went to the Cooper tire store on State line Ln in Texarkana to have them replaced under warranty. The tires were installed Oct 2019. They still have measurable tread to be able to adjustment. The employee told me that warranty was available for up to 2 1/2 years. I told him that warranty was good for the life of the tread.

PRORATED ADJUSTMENT

Tires not eligible for free replacement that are removed from service due to a covered warranty condition will be replaced with a comparable new Goodyear tire on a prorated basis for up to six (6) years from the date of original new tire purchase or when the treadwear indicators become visible (worn to 2/32"), whichever occurs first. (Without proof of purchase the date of manufacture will be used to determine eligibility. As an ex Goodyear retail store manager, I believe I am certain of my demand. Goodyear Tire warranty

Tires: Goodyear Wrangler Adventure, LT2275/65R18 on a 2010 Ford F150 Super Cab Pickup. Tire Mileage is 20,175.

Yesterday I went in for a tire rotation and the dealer told me that I had a tire separating and others are down to 2/16 of an inch.

Asked about warranty but since that I had bought these tires 3 dealerships ago from the same business location in Boise, they are not responsible and since I had no written mileage warranty, they could/would not help me. Just wanted to sell me new tires!

I feel that this expensive of a tire should hold up longer than 20K miles. I thought that they had a 60,000 mile warranty or something.

No Joy. Very disappointed in Goodyear. I will be looking at Toyo since that have a LT "C" rated tire in my size.

Desired outcome: I was on hold over 45 minutes waiting to talk to someone at customer service.I would appreciate a call back or email response. I doubt that I will hear from anyone)

Goodyear Tire

I have been taking my cars to Goodyear for many years and I have to say that last Tues was the I was treated the worst. I took my car in for an oil change and to replace 2 tire pressure sensors. The guy that changed the sensors put a hole in one of my tires. These were brand new tires. Goodyear did buy me another tire; I would just have to wait till that afternoon to get it. I was told during this service that i needed rear brakes ASAP. I told them to go ahead and replace but they didn't have the parts needed at the time. As I was getting ready to leave, I was informed that they found the parts to do my brakes, so I waited a little longer. hence, this is the second time my back tires were removed. After brakes were done, I had to leave and come back in a couple of hours to get new tire put on until then I had to use my donut spare. Once new tire was put on the office guy, Frank, told me he needed to show me something on my tire. He showed me a bubble on my tire, which was not there when I brought car in, He then told me to get it fixed ASAP and walked off. I just spent over $700 in your store and your associate shows me how much he cares about my safety by shoving me out the door with a bubble on tire that looked like it could bust any moment. This is a tire store, right? I believe the associate that removed my tire damaged it like the first tire he busted only he stopped before tire popped this time. I think that's why I was being rushed out of there. I think Goodyear owes me another tire. That bubble was not there when i brought car in. If it had been, I think he would have seen it while taking tires off 3 different times. It was not seen until new tire they had to replace was put on and service was done. I am asking you to replace damaged tire as soon as possible. It is very dangerous for me to ride around with a bubble on my tire. Thank you

Goodyear Brakes

In June of this year I took my 2005 Cadillac for brake pads. I was told I need all new brakes and it would cost at least $750. The car has about 62000 miles on it. I agreed and then was told a brake line had been crimped or punctured and I would need replacement. There was nothing wrong with it when I brought it in. So a. other $655. Drove it home okay but then next day drove to church and when tries to. back. out of space to. leave I had no brakes. That k God I didn't kill anyone or hit another car. I was terrified, threw it into park and cut engine. called the store next morning and they sent out someone to. tow it in, they did work on it and after a few days I got it back. When tried to drive it after a few miles it started wiggling and shaking so.couldr hold it in road. Called them again. This time they kept it at least two. weeks. It still does same thing. But they have told me That they can so no more. Take it somewhere else to get it repaired. This was their mistu, I brought in a car with no problems. Just needed brake pads. Now I have an unprovable car and no recourse. The men in store were polite, but that doesn't repair a car.

Goodyear Goodyear wrangler SR-A 265/60R20 tire

Date incident: June 26, [protected]@1:58pm

Location: Florida on I95 11 miles from I4 toward Orlanda florida

Vehicle: 2018 Chevrolet silverado LTZ Diesel 2500

Tires: Goodyear wrangler 265/60R20-very good threads 35340 miles

Traveling south on I95 in florida 11 miles from I4 traveling to Orlanda Fla.

Truck began shaking bad. Checked tires and under side appeared okay.

Began traveling again, shaking worse, the left rear tire blow out causing damage the left rear fender and wheel well.

The threads separated from the tire leaving a smooth surface with long fibers showing from tire

Goodyear Hi -Q

I went to Hi-Q at southgate mall as I had a problem with my engine overheating and fan now working to cool it off and also the thermostat not responding. The manager from there, outsourced a very unprofessional mechanic to bridge my car system, which almost caused me more damages as the fan that the mechanic bridged was still not helping my engine cool off. I went back to complain and she called the mechanic, and told me to speak to the mechanic directly. I explained the problem and left him to do the work, and going back to collect the car, I was very unhappy with the way everything was done from the start, and started expressing my grieve, but instead she became very disrespectful and told me to go to another mechanic, to a point that we ended up swearing at each other. I have paid R3500 and today am still sitting with an engine thats overheating. I asked her to give me a break-down of what exactly i was charged for, and she refused, asked that i speak to mechanic again, she again refused. please assist.

Desired outcome: I would like a refund because the mechanic did a very poor job on my car, and am afraid am still going to experience more damages on the car.

Goodyear Repairs on vehicle

I brought my son's Rav4 in for an inspection it failed, and we were told it needed a serpentine belt and the emergency brake was not working. My son bought a belt so we could replace it and asked them for a price to do the belt, they changed the belt without permission and said they would only charge for the diagnostics, they had to order parts for the emergency brake. He dropped the car off last Mon. at 8am he was never called with any updates; we called back at 3 pm and they said there was a problem they needed to order more parts and gave him another 10-day inspection. He told them he would be there on the 12th to get it fixed; we dropped the car off again at 8am the first ones in, again no call with an update, so he called around 12pm they said it was still not in, he called back, around 3pm and they said it should be done within 1 hr. I dropped him off at 4 and it was still on the lift they never finished until almost 6pm and since they had to pull the battery to complete the work, they couldn't put the inspection sticker until he drove 100 mi.

Desired outcome: reimbursement for replacing the belt, also readjustment for not completing the job the 1st time

Goodyear Promotion for oil change not honored

On 12/6/22 I had appt. for oil change, when I went to pay I say that I was charged full price instead of the promotional price. I showed he employee that printed my paperwork and he said he cannot make the change as the promotion was $10.00 of and offer good until 12/19/22. I showed him that it was sent to my email on my phone. There was another employee there at the desk and he was actually the one to check me in for my appt. He then asked to see the promotion on my phone, I showed him and he told me that the promotion is from Goodyear.com and could not be honored at the Goodyear store, which made no sense. I have used these promotions in the past for my tires, oil changes and other services. He then got a little testy with me and showed me the that the estimated total of $52.49 was before tax and additional services, I understand the tax but there were no additional services and he still would not adjust the price from $59.99 to $49.99. When I told him to just finalize the sale and that I would be making a complaint to Goodyear he then told me that I had to wait while he made notes which I saw the receipt that were not true.

Desired outcome: I would like a refund on $10.00 please, I have been a customer since before 2010 and have never had a problem with the promotions or any employee there. Seems like the employee had no clue about the promotion.

Similar problem at a shop in Lexington, Ky -- the deal was advertised online everywhere -- charged triple for no real reason !

Goodyear Unauthorized work

Took my 2017 truck for new four tires to be installed and balanced and realignment and they said i needed brake pads in the rear and told me they were bad, so I said go ahead and replace them and also told me that the front pads were fine. They went ahead to do the work and not only replaced the back pads and also replaced the rotors as well and there were in good condition and did it anyway. Also replaced the front as well,both pads and rotors. They also suppose to do an alignment and they did not do it because the truck after repair was pulling to the right when brakes were applied and pulled to the right when going in a straight line in the street. I paid for this work and my truck was not the same. I did take it to another mechanic and he told me that this truck could have not being balanced because the frame of the truck has a bent frame. That is why it pulling to left and right. He repaired the frame and balanced it and its fine now. The unauthorized work was 4 new rotors and 2 front brake pads and alignment that was not never done.

Goodyear rip off

i had our van worked on in peerryville,mo. at goodyear after spending several hundred dollars i went to pick it up and noticed my sprayer for my windsheild was missing on one side told them (witch) was there when i dropped my van off gentlemen looked at it had me raise the hood and the broken piece was right there said he would order one and when they got it in he put it on and then proceeded to charge me for the piece they had broke and told me plastic gets brittle it was going to break anyways and charged me 57.48 for it and i argued i shouldn't have to pay for something they broke and then said atleast i didn't charge you labor needless to say i will never go back there i know 57.48 isn't a lot but to some people it is i think i should get my money back and they be repremanded some way

Goodyear Repair Damage to my vehicle

I needed a new Power Steering Pressure Switch replaced on my 2002 PT Dream Cruiser. During replacement, the mechanic damaged the threads during removal and then tried to charge me for a new rack and pinion for 1500.00. I took it to Meineke Car Care Center a few blocks down the street from Good Year and the Tech verified in writing that Threads are damaged indicating sensor damaged threads on removal from previous work performed. Recommendations: Replace Rack and Pinion.

Goodyear Tires are so soft

Ok I bought a 2019 ram every tire has serval plugs . patches. I drive down a gravel road got three flats in one week. Have a jeep mater craft tires never no problem. . I use to like good year’s but I have spent a lot of money and time just getting the to a shop and back on truck. Got a new truck and have been on side of the road 12 times.
