Italian Embassy at Bahrain review: Visa duration shall be at least two years

Well, knowing that I travel a lot do to business and work reasons, let’s go throw the following:

1) applied to Schengen visa through Italians embassy at Bahrain, process takes two weeks.

2) advised by VFS global after handing back my passport, to resubmit by 30th March to stamp the visa and explained by him that I have to hand over 8am and assured that I’ll receive back in the afternoon of the same day.

3) due to my work I was out of Bahrain, I booked a ticket to come back on 29th to Bahrain and leave back to work by 30th.

4) they said that Italian Embassy changed the rules and they will keep the passport for two days…. Wowwwwwww

5) Took my passport back, came back to them by 4th April, submitted by 8 am…and surprise… it was ready in the afternoon of the same day…so organized embassy.

Now, the biggest disappointment, the visa duration is six months only (not first timer for this visa), so do Italians think that I have the time every six months to apply and waste my precious time for such visa, I’m not sure if Italian appreciate tourism to their own country but I’m telling you it does not worth wasting my time…you should be more clever and issue two years visa duration for people with the same of my financial stamens.

Moreover; when I was calling the Italian embassy to explain my issues, amazingly and surprisingly… the embassy employee had a very poor English and I was not able to communicate and explain my cases…. such a great embassy and employees.

My advice to all people who think to visit Europe, I think you should think twice before doing that.
