Applebee's - Service by our waitress and manager very poor and unprofessional

My family of 3 went to Applebee's on Trimble Rd/E Broadway in Columbia, Missouri about 2:30 today, March 16, 2021.
Ordered only Hamburgers, fries and sides of boneless wings. We were only people/ table seated in the bar area. We were the only table for a while. Others came in after and were seated in the restaurant area with only one waiter taking care of all of them, who by the way got their orders out before our waitress did ours.
As we were waiting and waiting our waitress was standing in the back area talking with a gentleman for several minutes. Finally, she came and apologized for the wait, said burgers were almost ready. Came back 3 or 4 minutes after that and said now just waiting on fries. We were getting our coats on to just leave told her not to bother with order any longer. She ran to get the manager. Who came out and happened to be the person she was visiting with for 10 minutes while we had been waiting on food. He apologized for such long wait. Got us go boxes and left. Never to reappear. The waitress came back and apologized again but complaining that they don't give her enough help in her area and was cooks fault as well. We paid the full bill packed up our food and carried containers of food out. No bag was offered to at least make it easier to carry. Food was very good. We may return in the future. Just will not stay if we don't see the other waiter there who is excellent. Wish I could remember his name.

Desired outcome: Just FYI. Better management would probably solve the problem

It took over 40 minutes for them to get us in didn’t tell us that they were available and see the people before us when they’re clearly was available seats and they didn’t even get on a waitlist to get in and yet we did and then we finally gave in the game gave us an attitude about sitting us before somebody else who had already been on the waitlist when we had been there longer than anybody else who had been on the waitlist before us an hour for our food still didn’t get out to go to order took 20 minutes to get silverware and plates including the time it took for appetizer silverware and we still didn’t get it to go order and we never even received the smoothies we ordered in the first place yet they tried to charge us for it
