PetSmart

Hello,

I have been a foster in rescue for well over 7 years. I have fostered for multiple state and nationally funded rescues as well as many small independent rescues. I have had multitudes of experiences in several Petsmart locations in the OKC metro area including adoption events as well as having my fosters in the cat condo areas.

That being said, I have never seen a worse example of charitable support for the mission of rescuing animals than I have seen at the 6327 SW 3rd location in Oklahoma City!

I am currently fostering kittens for Save 4 Paws, the rescue partner for that location. The areas that the rescue has been relegated to is small, inconvenient and has a terrible traffic flow. I also learned yesterday that they are no longer able to put cats/kittens in or utilize the bottom condos and haven't been able to for over a month! They were told that the kittens that were in the condos were making a mess and it was unsightly.

When I questioned the director about it she stated that someone comes by twice a day to clean. This is UNACCEPTABLE!

When I had kittens in condos at other locations, the store personnel were very helpful and accommodating. Never, ever treated as poorly as at this location. The volunteers there told me the manager has screamed and yelled at them in front of customers. These were young adults and teenagers that told me this. In my humble opinion, this location needs some major intervention and the sooner the better. I, for one, wouldn't shop at a location that is that rescue unfriendly.
