On October 5, 2023 I received vaccine for flu and for Covid at a CVS Minute Clinic (4203 S. Carrier, Grand Prairie, TX 75052). I pre-registered and provided insurance information. I have Medicare as Primary (Parts A & B), with Federal BC/BS as Secondary. This was also confirmed at my appointment. Today I received a bill for $293 (claim [protected]). I also received a letter from BC/BS they had denied my claim because they are Secondary. So, apparently, Minute Clinic (Aetna) billed my Secondary insurance instead of my Primary.
I have made multiple attempts to call CVS. They state long waits. I waited for an hour on the phone with no response. I also asked for a call-back several times with no response. These vaccines should be free through Medicare. CVS posted signs regarding this. However, they made an error in billing, but they only have an overworked phone number for contact (can't find an email or regular mail address to resolve this).
Claimed loss: $293.
Desired outcome: CVS refile claim to Medicare so that the total amount is paid by Medicare.
