This company located in Jamaica NY, 16210 Jamaica Ave Jamaica, NY 11432 uses deceptive business practices and tries to look like a official Military Clothing and sales Store when they are actually not related at all to the military. They only sell surplus military items.

There should be laws against commercial businesses that use the practice of pretending to be a Military store when they are not. Our soldiers who are deceived should not be the victims of this fraud.

The first question they ask is are you military or law enforcement. They are not in any way related to the military. Check this out on the bbb website. It states they pose as a military business.

Well apparently there are many more disturbed people out there then. Go to WWW.BBB.ORG and check all the complaints against them. In case you do not want to go to the BBB Site here are their comments:

Type of Business: Army & Navy Goods

Membership Status: This company is not a member.

The information in this report has either been provided by the company, or has been compiled by the Bureau from other sources.

Nature of Business
Complaints to the BBB indicate that Armed Forces Military Clothing Sales Store claims to be an Authorized Military Clothing dealer when in fact it is not. In addition, consumers claim that orders placed with the company are often late and incomplete. Consumers also report that the store does not offer refunds.

Customer Experience

Based on BBB files, this business has an unsatisfactory record with the Bureau because it failed to respond to one or more complaints.

The company's size, volume of business, and number of transactions may have a bearing on the number of complaints received by the BBB. The number of complaints filed against a company may not be as important as the type of complaints, and how the company handled them.

Also to get a listing of authorized Military MCSS Stores go to WWW.AAFES.COM. Armed Forces MCSS in Jamaica is not an Authorized Military MCSS Store. Official MCSS Stores are located on Military Bases.

If you want you can even e-mail the Commander for AAFES and they will also tell you that there has been problems with this business.

As for only allowing Military there, ask them how anyone can call them to order something over the phone and you can place a order without a military ID Card. That sounds really secure.

Their History speaks for themselves. G

I have bought several items from this store on several occasions and have never had any problems with my equipment. I love the fact that they ask for identification before you enter, it assures me that the equipment that i am using as an NYPD officer does not get into the wrong hands. it also makes me more comfortable in shopping for what i need from a person who is knowledgeable with his merchandise. They do say that they are a military store and have plenty of other customers who can attest to this who are out right now in Iraq using their merchandise. I'm am sorry for your one wrong day with them but give them credit, they are trying to help out the people that protect this great land and really don't need people like you who have nothing better to do than complain about a bad experience.

The author of the complaint, mark fellows, is an emotionally disturbed person. He is not military, nor is he law enforcement. He solicits advertisements for a local newspaper, and has been arrested twice since he has come to this store, trying to gain entry. Apparently, he is upset because he did not qualify to enter this store, which is protected against emotionally disturbed people such as mark. The above comment testifies for the security that we provide our customers. Mark fellows also forgets to mention that we are a us army recruiting substation. Maybe he's mad that he can't get recruited, either.

Thank you, erg nypd for understanding where we're coming from.

I agree with the complaint soldiers have bought ACUs from this company in my unit and have not been able to wear them because the uniforms were not what they claimed to be and unauthorized. I have since told my soldiers to make sure they only buy uniforms from real military clothing and sales stores or through AAFES online. I cant vouch for the police side but Ive also heard that this company is notorious for this on the military side.

Seems Valid to me. By the response from the company above, it seems like they are the are in the wrong in the way they present themselves. I have never seen a business that is reputable act like this when they respond to a complaint. The Better Business Bureau also testifies to this when I looked it up. Anyway I shop at USCAV and have never had a problem.

I've ordered my uniform from them and I have NOT been disappointed. In fact alot of the complaints are coming from National Guard units. YES I DID SAY NATIONAL GUARD UNITS! In fact alot of Guard members have tried to scam the MCSS in the past. I know this from first hand account. But alot of you guard members are such cry babies that you shouldn't be in the guard. My god get a life and move on. They didn't force you to buy your uniforms from there, YOU DID THAT YOURSELF!

I orderd a ABU Gortex jacket on 25 Oct 07. Today is 20 Dec 07 and I still have not received the item. About three weeks into the process, I called ARMED FORCES MCSS and spoke with one of their reps. He told me that they had up to 90 days to get the produce shipped. I then called my credit card company to dispute the purchase. MCSS's response to the dispute was, "I knew that it could take up to 30-45 days to receive my item". At no time during the ordering process did their web site ever indicate that my item was backordered. I have subsequently ordered the same jacket from a competitors web site. I have been wearing the item since mid Nov. POOR service and a desire to hold money (collecting interest) for now 56 days! STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!

I have to agree that this company uses deceitful business practices. I ordered a set of ABU's on the 7th of December and was guaranteed by some Zapata guy that they were in stock. I even asked him three times if he was sure that my sizes were in stock and he assured me all three times that they were. I just got my order today, and guess what? My name tapes and AIr Force tapes were shipped, but, ABU's are on back order and expected to be shipped within 7-14 days. Again another lie. Propper isn't even going to start shipping ABU's for commercial sale until Feb.! I guess I am one of the crying Guardsmen who shouldn't be serving as T. trotman suggests, but I don't like being lied to just for a sale.

My husband placed his order for an ABU Gortex 20 Nov and was told it was in stock. After about 2 weeks we inquired on the order and were told it was on the shipping floor. About a week later we received the rank insignia and a notice of item on back order. Once again we called and were told it was again on the shipping floor. We were given an email address for a Brian Williams to file a complaint. We have emailed this Brian guy twice with no response. On 2 Jan we called again and now they are closed until 8 Jan for inventory also computers were down. Both times when we asked for a refund we were told to review their refund policy on-line(which we are unable to find this policy). Its really hard to believe these people are able to do this to our military overseas.

The saga continues...
This is my second time posting to this board. Please see my first post by G. Robinson. I finally received a FedEx box from Armed Forces MCSS, 70 days after my initial order. After losing two disputes with my credit card company, (due to MCSS misrepresenting their actions), 4 unreplied emails to Mr. B. Williams to cancel my order. One unreplied to email requesting a return merchandise authorization. When I finally opened the FedEx box, the item ordered was not in the box. I ordered an Air Force ABU Gortex jacket and receive what looked to be a brown under liner garment. I could only stand there and laugh! To other "victims" on this board, if you aren't aware...after 90 days from the date of purchase, your credit card companies will no longer petition on your behalf. If you are experiencing issues with items you have ordered from MCSS, please do not wait to address to your credit card company. I will be pursuing this issue with the JAG to see if I can have this company placed on the "no contact list", will contact to the BBB in NY and contemplating some other legal avenues. No other axe to grind…other than the $325 that I’m out at this point. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

Armed Force MCSS has a 30% restocking fee on returned merchandise and will issue ONLY store credits...NO REFUNDS! That alone should tell you all you need to know.

Report them to the BBB. If they get enough complaints people will know about this place. Get the word out, especially when they are trying to rip off members of the military.

From the complaints here, I believe they are using deceitful practices. The only way to stop this deceitfulness is to continue to report them to the proper authorities, especially when they are targeting the armed forces.

I had a similar problem; ordered APECS jacket in Nov 07 because they were the only ones reporting "in stock". I am military and was willing to pay twice the standard cost $325 instead of $173 because we NEEDED it NOW. But then after about a week I called for a status..."it's coming". Then a week later "it's on the shipping floor and will be sent soon". Then another week later same thing. A few days later I spoke w/ the operations manager who basically cussed me out because I wanted my jacket "when I wanted it"...at this point I filed a complaint w/ the BBB of NY and canceled my order thru my bank. BBB emailed me a note a few weeks later saying that the situation was not covered... They recenlty rebutted my claim, but they sent info for 2 other people and their purchases plus a letter they claimed to have sent to me. Liars, cheats...they are.

16 Complaints with the BBB. This place is definately a place to stay away from. Especially from what I hear its a bunch of Reserve Officers that are running it, that is the bad part especially when most of the people they are doing this to is Military Members.

STAY FAR FAR AWAY! It's been over 120 days since I placed my order. I received a partial shipment about 1 month after I placed my order (that order was not only incomplete but wrong). Even though I didn't get the entire order MY CREDIT CARD WAS STILL CHARGED, which we were told by either Keith (### that answers the phone) or Brian (###'s boss, not really pleased with him either) that they should not have charged our card. I have called them, left messages and emailed them only to receive a few inadequate email responses about how my shipment would be sent soon. These people are crooks, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM! I have already turned off several people from ordering from them and I plan to continue. BAD BAD BAD PEOPLE.

STAY AWAY from the Armed Forces MCSS. They are scam artists and will steal your money and not ship the product. My saga started back in Oct 07. I ordered a pair of ABU pants. After a month of waiting with no updates and ignored emails, I filed a dispute. My dispute went through and I was credited. End of story right...no. In Feb 08 I was re-charged again by AFMCSS. When I questioned the charge to Brian Williams, I was told that my dispute was overturned. He also threatened me with charges of fraud and that I would be reported to my command, etc. So what, they ripped me off! I tried to get more answers and was told that my order was "back ordered". Rather than follow their own 90 day out-of-stock refund policy, they refused to budge. Fast forward to 19 Feb 08. I finally recieve a packet of documents from my creditor as "proof" from AFMCSS and why the credit cards allowed the second charge. Now keep in mind on 14 Feb 08, I was told my order was "back ordered"...there were shipping documents with what my creditor was told was my signature acknowledging reciept. My signature was no where on the docs. It was a customs form and a delivery confirmation form with numbers missing. And I'm the one accused of fraud. I immediately filed another dispute and emailed Brian Williams to get an explanation on the two totally different fraudulent stories. Of course, I've gotten no reply. Stay away from these scam artists. They will do everything in their power to destroy your credit and your good name. File a dispute and also block all charges from this company. What's really funny is that they talk about how they want to "take care of" and "serve" the military. These guys are a joke and should be put out of business. Take your business elsewhere, and warn your brothers/sisters that serve to stay clear of this company.

This store is horrible and their customer service is the worst. They have stolen our money and refused to ship the product, Air Force ABU which they claimed was in stock at the time of order. For those of you who might have had a good experience I ask you this; What does it mean to you if they even rip off one active duty military for any reason whatsoever? What kind of teammate are you if you back up this pack of thieves no matter what kind of deal you get on the NYPD, NY guard etc. I am filing an IG complaint, complaint to our credit card company, the better business bureau, etc.

They are SCAM Artists and the owner from research on the website armedforcesmcss.us is Carmine Annuziata who is a Major in the reserves. There is also a Capt who is part of this company who is a reservist I believe. They seem to be blowing alot of smoke. This Company needs to be reported to the JAG Corp. by everyone who has been ripped of by them. Obviously they are if they are threatening to report them to your Command. They use that tactic to try and scare someone, since they think they know the ins and outs of the Military System. SKAM ARTISTS WHO RIP OF THE MILITARY! THEY SHOULD BE IN LEAVENWORTH.

They are SMAMMER Reservists that run the Place. The owner is a Reserve Major Carmine Annuzita from research on their website and the Web. Another is a Captain. They need to be reported to JAG. THIS IS TOTALLY UNETHICAL Especially when they are trying to report you to your Command, they are blowing smoke screens to try to get you to stop pushing the issues. SEE JAG IMMEDIATELY! They should be in Leavensworth for this, not SCAMMING Soldiers.

They are SCAMMERS. The place is run by a few Reserve Officers by Research on this Place. One is a MAJOR carmine annuziata and the other is a Captain. Thats how they know to try and report you to your Commander. This Place needs to be reported to JAG. Especially when they try and blow a smokescreen or threaten Soldiers. This place is run by nothing but SCAM Artists trying to make a quick buck off a Soldier.

This place is run by a bunch of scam artist Reserve Officers. Their names can be found on godaddy.com under the web address armenforcesmcss.com. That is why they think they can report you to your chain of command. They cannot do that and it is unethical for any member of the armed forces to do that. Yes they are very shady and advertise they have items when indeed they do not. Report them to JAG corp. They are a bunch of SCAM Artists who like to take advantage of Military Members.

What this company does is criminal, they should all be fined and probably arrested. At least investigated by the OSI as a minimum. But what can you expect from the military. Think the JAG and OSI would investigate people ripping off servicemembers? Heck no, they would investigate the servicmember at the first accusation of impropriety false or otherwise. But they won't lift a finger to help you the servicemember at all. Either way Armed Forces MCSS are a bunch of crooks. Yes, thiefs and crooks. Stay away from this rip off company. I ordered ABUs a month ago and still have not received the uniform.

Seems like their reputation is growing and its not a good one. They have 17 Compaints with the BBB. They can also be reported to the postal service since this also seems to be mail fraud. I guarantee the Postal Service will investigate since they seem to provide false documents. The only way to get a business like this to stop is to report them to the proper authorities.

I wish I would have found this forum before I ordered the ABU gortex from this company. I called and was told it was in stock back in Nov 07. My credit card was charged in Dec 07. Here it is now the middle of March and I still have not received my jacekt. I placed numerous calls and emails and all I hear is that my item will ship shortly. I was even told that I had disputed my order, which I have never done. Then Brian Williams tried to threaten me and report me to the IG and the provost marshall (LOL). Forget about dealing with Brian Williams or any of the other minions who work for this piss poor company. I am probably out $325.00. Tell your friends to stay away from this company as all it will lead to is a lighter wallet. I sent the BBB a complaint last night. I have also passed on to the members of my base to stay clear of this company as well.

I must say, this is the first NY company that has gotten away with this ### with me. I've had past experiences with bate and switch NY/NJ companies and learned after once bitten they are pretty much all the same. I'm a contractor and have supplied our hard working Soldiers that represent us unlike these DIRTBAGS. They are liars, scammers, thiefs. I'm guessing I'm out almost 900 dollars. I was told back in FEBRUARY when my card was charged that we would be receiving the 4 NEW APECS in mid march. Well mind you.. it's only been two weeks now that it's April 1st. BUT after all my phone calls, emails and yes to even the RETIRED Maj Carmine whatever his last name is- no answers no responses. Same old crap as everyone in the previous posts. Its the same song and dance.. "will be shipping shortly". I was even told that he "KEITH" went down to shipping.. they probably don't even have a "shipping" department! They probably work out of a basement of a falling down brick building like all the other NY scamm shops! I'm so disgusted and actually really irritated that I ordered these through these THIEFS/CROOKS and not Propper like I was going to. But my guys were cold in the contracting office that I work for and I searched high and low trying to find the NEW APECS- not the defected ones that were generated, the reason for the back up on the APECS. Now how do I tell my guys I was scammed and they probably won't get the jackets while deployed. Unfortunately for MCSS it HAS NOT BEEN 90 DAYS YET. Our bank will hopefully reverse the charges! I'll show them the BBB website and this complaint board. I do not like thiefs, liars, or scam artists especially when my company lives to help our Soldiers stateside and Overseas!

My last phone call tonight was at 5:50 and Keith answered the "ordering line" as always and had the audacity to tell me he has no information and everyone is getting ready to walk out because it was 10 to 5! The NERVE! Thank God, I do not live in NY or anywhere even remotely close. I am going to contact one of my contractors that used to be deployed to the same contracting office and he lives in NY! OFF TO THE BBB...

Those of you who think this store is bad or a rip off or whatever you think are either to cheap to even be in NY or some kind of supply freaks.
The store has knowledgeable staff and always top quality products and if you can't find it there you can ask them to order it for you. I shop a lot online from big supply dealers and find it a very unpleasant experience... You get your products late or broken or just the complete wrong product. What the crap!
