Be2 fraudulent company

I tried the $5.00 free trial not being aware of any automatic renewing system from be2.ca. I should be able to browse other members' files after I signed up. However, I still couldn't see members' profiles nor photos. As a result, I lost interest of checking it out regularly and finally I decided to cancel my membership after a week or so. I tried to cancel my subscription and of course the delay tactics were unbelievable, eg.couldnt even find the cancellation screen, when did got diverted, , auto -response emails from them which were totally unrelated to my questions. After many attempts and as time passes, I forgot about this website at all since I didn't receive any emails not only from members but also from their customer service personnel. Instructions on their website don't work and neither do emails.

After a month, when I checked my credit card statement, I found this suspicious transaction which I had no idea what it was. It turned out that be2 automatically renewed my membership and charged on my credit card. I didn't authorize the charge so I called my credit card company and claimbed my money back. I searched google about this dating site and found there are tons of similar cases out there. There are also victims acorss the continents that have been ripped off by this company. They all shared the same issue which is they can't find a way to cancel their membership and by the time they heard from be2's customer service it's too late to cancel and they was charged again.
I was lucky that I was able to stop the payment and cancelled my credit card, but they are keep sending me emails asking me to pay off my outstanding amount or they will take legal action.
I want to bring awareness about this fraudulent company to as much people as possible so there will not be many victims out there. When I searched this issue in the internet, the earliest complaint that I can find is dated back to 2008. It's been 5 years and this company is still existing and taking advantage of these people who are desperate to find their loves. I hope someone can put it to an end.

This so called dating site is a scam. You think you are paying for 6 months, yet they charge you over and above that cost.
Never use this site!

Be2 membership issue

I applied its free trail membership at first. It looked clean in the beginning, it provided a set of questions to evaluate your characters and gave score. When I finished register, it would provide a list of people that matches me. Here was the end of the free trail, each click after that would sooner or later prompt the message to subscribe their premium membership.

For instance, when I click people's photos, it was masked, and you could never really see how is the person looks like, unless, I subscribe the premium membership.

In the next few days, I received quite a few emails from be2 saying someone released their photos to me or sent email to me etc.. Of course, I would not be able to view these photos or read emails unless I pay the money.

I was curious after a few days, and I applied the membership for 6 months.

But, what I found out was, I could see the photos and read emails, but those who released their photos to me or sent emails to me were just happened to click my profile. If they did so, Be2 would send out a fraud email to me. And all the Be2 emails I received were others thanks me for releasing my photos to them! I did not release my photos to anyone at all! So I realized that if I uploaded a photo in Be2 and happened to click other's profile, Be2 would also notify that one I released my photo to her! You see the fraud? This fraud would make you think someone is interested in you. I got to know this by replying email to a few members, but they told me that they didn't release photos or sent any emails. So each click I or others did, would help Be2 to cheat someone else who registered.

Later on, Be2 changed its policy, if the other people didn't apply the premium service, these people's photo will always be masked until they pay the money.

I still kept receive Be2 emails telling me who's a good match of me, but what I found out was more than 50% of these people didn't exist in Be2 if I clicked the link in the email sent by Be2.

When I felt tired of its tricks, and by chance I noticed in my profile settings that the premium membership would be automatically extended and deduct money from my credit card, I decided to cancel my membership. But found out the link provided in its website didn't work. I sent email to Be2 to cancel, what I received were always auto-replies telling me to cancel in its website or by fax, however, the fax number was not provided.

Since I cannot cancel the membership, I have to cancel my credit card.

When my 6 months membership ended, Be2 sent me email as below:

Dear ...

The automatic renewal of your Premium Membership has failed due to a problem with your credit card/bank account. We have asked you to update your payment details in order to settle your account. Unfortunately, we are still unable to take any money from your credit card/bank account.

As there is a valid contract between you and be2, we will now take legal measures and hand this over to our collection agency. This may affect your credit rating.

For any questions you may have or any difficulties with paying this invoice, please contact us by writing to our customer service.

As it came with the meaning of threatening, I reported this to the local police as scam.
I will keep update the story to see if Be2 comes with any new tricks.
Meanwhile I googled by "Be2 Scam", and found out there were quite a number of people shared the same experience as mine and I believe it's a scam.

Be2 online dating site scam

I signed up for a free trial and was automatically billed for a full membership. I ended up paying the full amount and tried to remove myself from the subscription on their web site. Unfortunately they make it impossible to cancel online through the same sign up process, and demand that you fax information about all your personal details (I assume this is so they can continue to harass you when you are unable to quit their service). The problems with this web site are well documented online as a simple search through www.google.com for be2 scams which will provide a wealth of information on how they are scamming people. Considering that the web site says it has 35 million subscribers this is very concerning. I am refusing to send my personal information to this company and have asked numerous times to be removed from the membership and would like them to stop harassing me. Thank you.

I am having exactly the same problem. I signed up for a month then cancelled following the confusing instructions on the web site and by e mail. They then took the money for a year's membership from my account. I sent numerous e mails and asked for confirmation of cancellation, which i never received. Now one year later I have received a collections agency e mail for $157. Despite numerous e mails, BE2 refuse to answer my questions. I have no intention of paying this amount as I only visited the web site twice 16 monts ago!
Has anyone else actually been taken to court ? I tried to enter the link for the collections agency but it would not work, which seems suspicious.

Be2 money taken without consent.

The above agency has charged my credit card account for £149.94 and I did not even knew that I was a member. I did not authorise such payment when I emailed them i was told that I did not cancel my membership.

When I try to cancel it online but was told to give in writing but impossible as no address is supplied.

It seems all their contacts are fictious.

Please advise me as how to obtain refund of my money from the agency which is running a scam.

Thank you.

On 9 November 2012, paid for a 1 month trial period. On 23 November 2012 wrote to cancel. Asked them to remove my credit card details from their system and confirm that membership terminated and no further payments debited which they failed to do. Their termination process is about making it impossible to cancel unless you have a fax machine and send them a fax. I feel this is an unfair contract term as their cancellation process is about making it impossible to cancel your membership, they fail to acknowledge correspondence, there is no phone number to contact them. Now they are constantly harassing me and threatening legal action. Have you had any joy with a refund?

Be2 taking money from my credit accout without asking

I joined this dating site back in May 2012 it was free. After a short time I told them I was stopping as I changed my mind. They then weeks later took out $23400. on the 31st May 2012 without asking. When I contacted them they said NO refunds. I told them I had cancelled everything but they don't read or want to understand. I told them again that I do not wish to have anything to do with them, which I haven't had any contact at all with them since May. Then on November 30th 2012 they took another $234.00 out again. I don't know how to contact them anymore. I want my money back .
Unfortunatly I have deleated the e mails I sent them as I thought I was finished with them
Please Help me please.

Wendy

Dear Wendy

I got caught by this site too. I sent an email to someone called Thomas.Brooking@be2.com for a refund. I was never advised that my account was going to be charged. I logged on as trial for a month only which requests 5 $ payment, never says on the site that you are agreeing for a contract of six months? and you will be charged at the end of the trial month? This is a scam and it needs to be sent to Current Affair on Channel 9 - If you are going ahead I am happy to support you.. please let me know.. I also spoke to customer care - [protected] and the lady refuses to consider any refund. I have asked her to cancel my membership immediately and any further renewal, but I wish to get my refund as this is unfair? if you can send me your email.. we can discuss.. thanks N

Be2 can't unsubscribe

I signed up for be2 S.a.r.l. I found this website via internet and I started using it in June. Recently I recognized strange things that prove it is a scam. I try to unsubscribe from this site already 3 weeks. No one answers to my request. I can’t call them as phone number is not available all the time.

I have just had £150 taken from my account by this company... as I had no idea I was still subscribed. There is no warning and I am finding it impossible to cancel the membership.
I have contacted my credit card company and am what they call "in dispute"
I have tried emailing and get unsatisfactory responses.
This is definitely a scam.
If anyone has any idea how to retrieve my cash I would be very grateful.

Things you can do about be2.com credit card scamming:
1. Report any unauthorised deduction to your bank. The banks need to get on to this. Their system should be set to decline a deduction from this Switzerland based company until such time as they address their unacceptable conduct.
2. To stop be2.com from taking any further money from your credit card, cancel your card and get a new one.
3. Report the company to fair trading and internet scam authorities in your state or territory.
4. Post information about your experience at complaint sites on the internet so others will be warned.

For those who are unclear of the issues with be2.com, please see this excerpt from their General Terms and Conditions:
"VIII. Cancellation and Termination
(3) Upon expiry of the purchased access period, access to the chargeable option of making contact under item II (5) and the related contractual relationship under item III (3) shall be automatically extended by an access period as selected or indicated (e.g. 3 or 6 months), unless the Client terminates in writing fourteen days before expiry of the access period or, if another termination period was communicated when buying the access period, within this other stated termination period, indicating his/her full name and his/her alias. The termination must be requested using the respective link in “Settings” in “Premium Membership”, if available, or by facsimile. Upon receipt of the confirmation of payment for the first purchase the user shall be informed of the day (date) until which the contract shall firstly run and by what duration the term will be extended unless due notice of termination is given."

***Some of the issues with be2.com's General Terms and Conditions are:
1. Your access period is AUTOMATICALLY EXTENDED, meaning CREDIT CARD DEDUCTIONS COMMENCE and CONTINUE INDEFINITELY unless you terminate, and yet TERMINATING CAN BE DIFFICULT if not IMPOSSIBLE.
2. If you forget your username (as we all can do), the site does NOT PROVIDE RETRIEVAL OF YOUR USERNAME VIA YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS, and therefore you will have NO WAY TO LOG ON and REQUEST TERMINATION using the respective link in “Settings.” (only a forgotten password can be retrieved via your username)
3. The alternate method of terminating is by facsimile, but NO FACSIMILE NUMBER IS SUPPLIED.

THINK TWICE about proceeding with a free-trial with be2.com! You may find your credit card in a longterm relationship with them, while you get left on the shelf seething!

Be2 14 days after canceling they robbed me of 149 pounds

Exactly the same as many others. I tried to cancel and after a frustrating day trying to cancel online i was forced to wait for access to a printer and fax which meantit was 6 days before my renewal date. 14 days after canceling they robbed me of 149 pounds. I am asking my bank for a charge back but they say i need to contact them again after 14 days.

Be2 the whole service comprises of automated computer messages

The whole service comprises of automated computer messages. They then proceed to take sums of money from your account or card making it virtually impossible to cancel it. I have been communicating my email with them for two weeks and they just threaten me with debt collectors continually and have not even told me after three requests how much they think I owe them, they just want bank card details. I pointed out that they must have known I had cancelled as I had no communication from them in the last 6 months and wished to be removed from they're records immediately, so they have now recommenced the rubbish emails. Please warn people of your experiences with this company - I dont understand why they have not been shut down.

I have reported this online to police fraud service http://www.actionfraud.police.uk/report_fraud .. I have a crime number reference NFRC12080033836 .. perhaps if everyone else also does this they will take some notice and do something about it. GM

Be2 this site is all about making money, and raiding your debit card

The sign of a good dating site is easy to join, inexpensive and easy to leave. Be2 is easy to join, but difficult to leave and expensive. When you join without paying you will get loads of emails to start with. As soon as you become a premium member you will find the mails dry up straight away. When you try and leave you will find no option to click and de-active. No they want signed and in writing, I had to write to them, scan it and email it to them. This site is all about making money, and raiding your debit card. AVOID!

Be2 dating agency scam

I looked around a couple of dating sites. I came across be2 sarl. I didnt want to sign up to anything...just have a look. After about 2 months of emails trying to get me sign up I eventually accepted the offer of 1 months trial for £5. This is probably the worst thing I have ever done in my life as I am normally very careful on the net. After trying to cancel before "an unknown deadline at the time" I was unable to navigate to areas of their website to complete a cancellation. Obviously this site is set up in such a way that you cannot do this and ultimately are too late to cancel therefore giving them the right to charge you for 6 months of their product at £149.94 that you do not want. I have been in touch with my bank and pleaded with them not to honour this payment, but to no avail. I now have to wait 15 days while my bank tries to get my money back. Not feeling too hopeful right now. But you never know. Bunch of crooks!

I have been fighting this company for 2 years! I have attempted to call their head office in Luxemburg - no chance. I have written registered letters - they are refused and returned. I tried cancelling with my credit card company but because it is a "subscription" that I once agreed, there is nothing to do. I have now asked for a so-called "charge back" because it is already registered that I cancelled more than a year ago. The credit card company can only do that but the payment was already taken from the credit card. Please, dear lonely person, do not join this service. I did not meet anyone. It was a total failure. Now, my costs are more than CHF 1000.00 because they last charged me CHF 419.00 and I don't even know what for. There is no receipt. There is no notification. There is no direct communication from the company B2 S.A.R.L. Luxemburg.

I saw an add on Facebook for B2Sarl and decided to have a look, biggest mistake i ever made. I am normally very careful about signing up to anything on the internet. Initally I registered for a one month trial at a cost of 5euro, no big deal. I noticed their were a lot of fake profiles on the site and complained about it but nothing was done they kept appearing on it. After about a week i lost interest in the site and tried to delete my profile and delete my account but the website is set up in such a way that it won't allow you do it.That was Jan 2018. Today, March 2018 I got an email from them telling me I owe them 130euro for premium membership for 3months and if I don't pay they will be passing my info onto a debt collecting agency. This is the first ever email I received from them. This is a scam that needs to be looked into and people need to be warned about it

same scam running in south africa. so-called links to premium cancellation give you circular run-around. this lot is slick conniving insidious scammers of note and are obviously raking in the bucks from all over the world. practical steps are now needed to expose them and prosecute them. in the meantime is there any real way i can stop payment "due to them" [NOT!] deductible from my bank account? anyone with real advice please? this is urgent, since south african currency is way below par of anything else, means it is costing me a veritable fortune to carry on enriching these parasites!

Be2 dating scam

Be2 sucked me into an unwanted membership by offering a one month trial for $5.99 without clearly stating it would turn into a full membership after 14 days and then trying to take money from my credit card which luckily was a gift card with not much on it, and making it difficult to unsubscribe, then sending me bogus letters of interest by fake women or women hundreds and thousands of miles away then refusing to unsubscribe me, then threatening me with legal action if I didnt give them a valid credit card number. There is a facebook site to link to about these crooks: https://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/162710357100632/

I totally agree as it's happening to me in Sydney Australia, I sent many emails, fax, and letter and now being told to pay for the 6 months automatically renewal of $234.00 Aus. I had been over charged by them in the first 6month membership so i cancelled my debit card and the males clients introduced to me by them were asking me for money making financial excuses so i deactivated my account, They have put me through so much stress and depression and are still emailing me to say that they will get money from me through collection agency, I'm terrified and don,
t know what to do ?

Be2 unauthorized charges

I signed up for a dating site called be2.au and they’ve asked my credit card details for age verification purposes. After I signed up for be2.au I’ve started receiving unauthorized charges on my account and my total losses are estimated to be somwhere around $250 now. Somebody needs to stop those scammers.

Same thing just happened to me! I googled to see if it had happened to anybody else and found your post. Today Be2 made an unauthorised deduction from my credit card of $234.00. I visited the site more than six months ago, and have never returned. There is no contact number listed, and the email enquiry form that I put in returned a standard reply saying they will try to get back to me within 3 days. NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

Be2 credit card scam charge to my account

On the 4th of April i visited a site called be2.com.au. This site advertised relationships and dating with policeman and the like. It looked interesting. However you had the option of paying $5.00 to look. I did so and it required you to create a profile. i did so. Payment was made by me by my credit card. After a day or so of being bombarded with very creepy men...none of whom looked anything like the add, I decided to get out of this site. I did the appropriate things stated on the site. I thought I was finished with be2... Not so. I received my credit card statement only to find out that a sum of $234.00 had been charged to my account. This infuriated me. I contacted customer service and have to this point received a run around. I tried to cancel my so called premium membership on line but just when you think you have satisfaction the site tells you to contact customer service AGAIN! How do I get a refund? Or better still how do I put a stop to this scam and stop further charges.

Be2 taken subscription without permission

Disgusted with this dating site, Be2B. They took £150 from my account. I certainly would not have authorised this. They are crooks. I'm disgusted. This site should be removed. Where is the protection? How can I get my money back?

Be2 rip off $5 to start

BE2 online dating service are cheats... If you join this cancel your account to that paid the $5 immediately within the month they will try to take up to $200 the next time. Here is what you do to stop them: Most Important, cancel your account so that they are unable to take any further money; they will try to send you an email saying that you owe them. Politely request to withdraw and you no longer want their services, they will continue to respond with emails like we have sent you an invoice for such. & such an amount you owe us, send the same response requesting that you do not want their services, they will threaten you with emails of taking you debt collectors; you are not able to delete your profile because their website does not allow it. After repeated emails like this and you responding I suggest you do this: do a search on BE2 complaints, read the complaints save the web page address. Daily reply to BE2 emails saying: your company is a scam, I have reported you to
My local city unfair trading office, my bank as fraudulent. You are welcome to send this to your debt collector, so piss off and leave me alone, I did not agree to anything more than the $5 trial. Repeat thus email 20 times a day and make sure you put in the subject... This is my 10th email BE2 Complaint - BE2 ARE A SCAM; This is my 11th email BE2 Complaint - BE2 ARE A SCAM; This is my 12th email BE2 Complaint - BE2 ARE A SCAM; ... Do this 20 times a day until they stop... It took plus 60 emails for them to send an email saying, you can delete your profile we have removed you from our list. I would recommend that you do also report them to bank and unfair trading as will soon get in black listing amongst you'd financial institution & local city.

Be2 scam

This dating service Be2 appears to be a total scam. They are extremely dishonest with the service they are providing. Yes, create a profile for free and then you can't go any further until you pay for either 3months, 6 months, or 12 months contract, which up front are all advertised as a monthly breakdown payment. Apparently, the fine print is worded differently and the entire payment of $234 was debited from my account immediately. This was the only efficient thing about this site...how fast they take your money. Within my 1st day, I requested a full refund and for my profile to be deleted (there is NO provision for us to do either of these two things). Unfortunately, you have no way of seeing photos etc of other profiles until you pay them the money. I almost immediately saw that most of the profiles appeared to be fake, which is when I wanted my money back. They have refused my many requests for the refund as they say I've used the service I paid for. At no time did I ever pay to be exposed to scammers. BEWARE of this highly unethical and very sneaky site. HOW CAN THEY CONTINUE TO GET AWAY WITH THIS? WHERE IS THE GOVERNMENT OR LEGAL SUPPORT NEEDED TO INVESTIGATE AND CLOSE THIS SITE DOWN? Based on how many complaints are out there about this site, surely it's high time they are made obsolete and to pay for their dishonesty and completely unsatisfactory service. They must have made an absolutely absurd amount of wealth and it should be made to come to an end.

I heard about them taking money from people's account so before my expiring trial date I cancelled my credit card. This site is a scam by itself. All the members I met there I have several profiles and they register anytime. It seems is mostly to be Nigerian guys. They post fake photos, with wrong height, or eyes colors when asked they disappeared to appeared under different name. Stay away from it if you are serious in dating on line.
