Cohen's Fashion Optical 89 dollar glasses

I went to a Cohens at Kings plaza mall and had great service. Unfortunately, I tried to get the same service at the Pitkin Avenue store and they were so disrespectful. I saw the commercial about the 89 dollar glasses and called the store to inquire about them and they gave me nothing but attitude. I enjoy going to Cohen's but I think I am going to stop going because this frames are to expensive and if you don't go to a good person you won't get good service.

Desired outcome: I would like the stores to be knowledgeable about the current and upcoming promotions!

Cohen's Fashion Optical Eye exam

I made an appointment to have an annual I exam. Someone called to confirm the appointment which I appreciate. However it was at work and I had to get off the phone. The women called me Back 5 more times till I picked up and procto tell me she wasn’t done talking to me. I told her I had confirmed the appointment already with her and had to go. She said if she can’t finish telling me what she had to tell me about the appointment then it would be canceled. That’s all I needed to hear. Turn her to cancel it then! I can go to an eye doctor covet under my insurance but because I order my contact lenses from there I was going to return back. They will never get my money again! Rude!

Desired outcome: I have no desired outcome. I will make an appointment with an ophthalmologist and be seen and treated like a human being.

Cohen's Fashion Optical Warranty

Bought a pair of glasses 1 200 dollars a lot of money thinking being scratch free ect good purchase went to cohens optical this week to see could they resolve my issue not realizing till i got there my warranty had expired last day of December. 2022. Ask could they make exceptions with my warranty. Hi e me big discount staff vey helpgy and nice being goi g there drcades. staff excellent any spoke to manager i ly give me 35 percent discount. Very very f disappointed because been and my family extended family only go there i reallywant to continue to go there can’t afford it. Manger said 900dollars lowrst price for complete new glasses and frames. Was hoping coperate could do something. As i said hoping fir my warranty to still be honored. Or major discount for this pury would go as far as me paying 300 dolly ir less should be send reminders when warranty alwamost it anyway hopefully this issue can be resu so i can still be a cohens customer. A speedy reply woujld be appreciated bein my supposed glassesmeant to be. Scratch free. Hopyy to resolve this as i have been a a id customer of cohens a long long time thank you very much have a great day margaret mc aliney

Cohen's Fashion Optical Misinformation related to insurance coverage

I was told that my insurance only covered 20% for the lenses but upon verifying my benefits, it should been covered 100% or $25 copay for polycarbonate lenses. I was deceptively misinformed and overcharged. The lenses were billed at $289 minus the 20% they claimed was covered. However that particular charge should’ve been 0 or $25 worst case scenario. I reached out to the business and they refused to adjust the bill or provide a refund. I still need the glasses but I want to be refunded for the amount I overpaid. Their billing practices are very deceiving and almost verging on fraudulent. Please help me reach an amicable resolution.

Cohen's Fashion Optical Glasses

I can into 2856 3rd Ave 10455 to get an eye exam to get glasses for the first time. After my exam I didn't receive my prescription. I also picked out some glasses that was over 600 dollars where I found the brand website for way less. The women Employee told me about an plan where I pay for 3 months for 750 I was thinking that don't sound right. I was with my 2 year old daughter so I couldn't really go into full detail about it. yes I did sign the agreement where acima they pay for it and I pay it off for 3 months. But when I saw the lease agreement it says 750 dollars that is way to much even 650. Acima has a return policy where you are able to return your glasses. With full refund. I don't even have the glasses in my possession so I was like ok ill just call and cancel my lease. When I called they told me the Manager is not in and she will call me back which never happened. I called her she answer and says we have your glasses. I told her I want to cancel the lease it to much to pay. She said I can't return them. I told her I dont even have the glasses and my lease says I can cancel at anytime. She still said no I can't return them. That they don't do returns. I explained again that's not what my lease says. She said cohen don't do returns when I read the return policy for cohen its says I have 30 days. I know I have been scammed. She was brushing me off just kept saying no. I have a signed agreement that says I can return if I'm not satisfied. Very poor service. I will not be picking up the glasses. I want my lease to be canceled asap. The service there is beyond bad. I read so many reviews with the same kind of complaint. Why do they think they can just treat people in any type of way. No returns is a lie. I have the papers to prove that I can. I want my account to be taken off this lease and resolve. I know this is commission base that's why they doing this. But its about customer satisfaction not over charging and then saying no returns. This is crazy I want to speak with someone higher up. I will not pick up the glasses. I don't want no parts if dealing with that location. I want to ask for my prescription but from the reviews I hear that they be putting incorrect info on purpose. Can someone please contact me to resolve this matter. Thank you

Cohen's Fashion Optical My appointment.

I had a appointment today at Cohen"s Optical, It was for 4 PM. I decided to call about 9:30 AM to tell them with the upcoming storm. She told me she understood and told me to come in. I got there About 10:30 AM. I waited 3 hrs. This was about 1:30. She then told me its gonna be a little while longer. She said why dont you go do some shopping and when you come back will take you. So I left for a hour and a half. came back Mind you my originally appt. was at 4 PM. I waited another hour and a half. I dont know what I was thinking... She said your next. I waited.. and waited and left about 3 PM. when I got home, She called to tell me they were ready for me. This was 3:30 PM. WTF. I dont understand why she tole me to come in. I was very cool about the whole thing but I just had enought. I will never go back there again. The worst company I ever saw. Horrible. There walkins are horrible. There useless.

Desired outcome: I would like in the future , Dont tell customers to come in. Dont lie to them. I live 35 min. away. Your not paying for my Gas. should be charging you. a whole day wasted. I got nothing.

Cohen's Fashion Optical Victim of scam from the manager at cohen optical queens center mall

Tested my eyes I bought two pair of eye glasses reading and sunlight. When I went to pick up eye glasses I cannot see with either of them. Blur vision I told the manager I cannot see with the eye glasses and I do not want it. I told him to have it cancelled. He never did the bank paid him $1, 900.00. He never returned the check he took the check and cash it. Now the bank keep hunting me for the money something that I do not have, I went to cohen on several occassion I spoke to the manager and he told me to sue the bank, the bank told me he who received the check for $1, 900.00. Please help I cannot afford to pay for eye glasses I cannot see and the manager do not want to refund the check he wants me to pay.

Cohen's Fashion Optical Putting Lens on my eyeglass frame

Below is my review in 2019. As suggested by the below Cohen agent, Ms. Chrissy. S, I emailed her right away and then a couple more times afterwards, but in vain.

Again, to this date, September 19, 2021, I still have NOT received the balance due, about $420, that Cohen owns me from the court case I won against Cohen in 2013. Yes, 2013, Eight years ago!

Cohen's Fashion Optical Incompetent and lousy service

I did eye exam there, they seem very nice. Then I ordered contact lens from them afterwards. However, I still haven't received my contact lens after a month. No emails or calls from them. I called every week to check, but they kept saying "I will call you back" but never called me back. They only entertained you when you sound angry over the phone. A month no contact lens and no respond from them. So incompetent service.

Cohen's Fashion Optical Employee alyssia at the valley stream ny location

I called the cohens valley stream store to have them check when I last received my contacts. Alyssia was very rude. She was talking to another employee while I was on the call with her and wasn't even listening to what I was saying. Alyssia then proceeded by telling me to call back and when I asked her when she said in 20 min or so. This was my second time calling the store today and the first time I was told they would call me back and they didn't. I called back after 4 hours and I'm still told to call back. This is absolutely absurd. Alyssia has a nasty attitude and does not know how to speak to customers. Because of her I will never be using cohens services.

Cohen's Fashion Optical over priced eyeglasses, rude staff and terrible service

I purchase eye glasses (consider health care service) from this store. They scam me by saying they will give me $100 off from their glasses frame in the store. The frame is $399 with $100 off is $299. A day later I found out that glasses frame is normally sell in another store for $49-$59. I went back and ask Cohen's to return but they said they can only give me a store credit plus the staff was very rude with an attitude. They probably use this trick to so many consumers. I want to get a refund but they refuse even I have a proof of them selling overprice stuff. I think I have right to defend myself from being take advantage from the store. I would like to review this illegal crime that Cohen's Fashion Optical selling overprice health care service and reject to refund the consumer when the good/services not as expected.

Cohen's Fashion Optical Lies regrading my co-pay, bad service, disrespect client

I went to Cohen's Optical 330 west 42nd street, NYC on 5/4/2020 at 1130 AM. After my eye exam, I met Ms. Johanna Victoria, she told me Polycarbonate lenses does not cover by my insurance (Davis vision) plan and I have to pay 200$, BUT my insurance plan says I have full coverage without restrictions, also she said there is dispense fees additional to the co-pay and if I will buy Davis Vision lenses I HAVE TO BUY A new frame!
So I called Davis Vision Insurance customer service, and they told me I have full coverage without restriction for Polycarbonate lenses and buying new frame is optional, otherwise the store has to send my old frame to the lab, and they never heard about "Dispenses fees". So I asked Ms. Victoria to call the insurance company to double check, she refused she asked me to leave the store in improper way.
I went to another optic store, They told me the same that what my insurance told me. So I bought my new glass lenses from them, I did not pay a penny for my new Polycarbonate lenses, no dispense fees and I use my old frame.

This place is horrible when it comes to customer service this place is horrible when it comes to providing information to the policy I am a first-time Cohens customer they did not let me know about the nonrefundable they excepted my money which was $500 cash didn't tell me that they were no refunds they did not give me back my money and then they were lying to me about giving me a receipt also they said that the receipt wasn't in the tray Everybody is on vacation no one can help you with anything that's what I was told they said you are not getting your money back they kept on repeating that and not trying to fix the issue also Cartier frames there is no sale on Cartier products at all they were trying to give me the Cartier frames for 350 and work out a deal with me they are liars

Cohen's Fashion Optical eyeglasses

I broke the arm connection to my $700 pair of progressive glasses and I was going on vacation 2 days later. I asked them if they could fix them and they immediately said no and to trash the glasses. They said they would sell me new ones and got the prescription from my doctor. I told them I would only buy them if they could have them ready before I went on vacation. They said yes! I picked out a similar frameless pair. They then told me that it would be $1, 293 before tax or over $1400. I said no way. The woman then said "how about $999". I said no. Then she said " how about $900". I reluctantly said yes if they could have the glasses before I went to Florida. The next day, she called me and said she couldn't do it until the following week when I was already on vacation. They already swiped my card. So I went back to the store and took my broken glasses back. My first day in Florida I walked into an eyeglass store that thank God fixed my glasses in 15 minutes and refused payment. I have complained to Crissy Snow at Cohen's customer service (that's an oxymoron) and she told me she would call me back that day. That was 2 weeks ago and haven't heard back yet. Now she refuses to take my calls and return any of my numerous calls and voice mails. I even emailed her at [protected]@cohens.bz and have not heard back. The company is a sham. Don't ever go to these stores. There are so many better and much cheaper options. BTW, I disputed the charge and AMEX is still fighting with these people. Beware of this company. They lied two times to me in the course of 10 minutes then Crissy of CS lied to me once again. What a joke. I will go on every site and let people know what a sham this company is.

Cohen's Fashion Optical cohen insurance for eyeglass frames

I purchased Cohen Insurance for eyeglass frames on 9-4-18. I have the broken glasses and tried to get them replaced. The store manager still wants me to pay for 50% of cost. This is not acceptable! The Lenses I purchased from this store are still good, I just need the frames replaced, this is why I purchased the insurance. One piece is missing because glasses broke in school and that is why manager refused to honor agreement. He is stating the Manufacturer wont replace, but I bought frames and insurance, not a Manufacturer Warranty. Please provide my proof that insurance is no good with piece missing or replace frames quickly. Steven Guerreri [protected]

Cohen's Fashion Optical glasses/service

I had an appointment with doctor at 11:30 and wasn't seen until 12:45. To add insult to injury it took three hours with frames since there was only one sales person. When glasses came in they were all dirty and one had a cracked lens. I was told that they would send for new lenses and would get them in two days... we called after the two Days and was told When the new lenses came in they were also cracked. First and foremost why aren't lenses checked prior to giving them to customer and cleaned? Why are you purchasing lenses from a place that send cracked lenses? My time is precious and have been inconvenienced multiple times. I asked several times to speak to manager which fell on deaf ears given the excuse he went on vacation, another excuse was he was out for family issues. I asked for corporate phone number and they claimed they had none.Please look into this matter. Thank you,

Cohen's Fashion Optical eye glasses

On Monday, April 8th, 2019 I went to Cohen's Optical at the Staten Island Mall and had an eye exam. The doctor stated that I needed progressive eye glasses and wrote out a prescription. The incompetent sales representative Nicky stated that it would take a minimun of 5 to 7 business days which was going to be impossible for me since I work with computers and needed them right away. Nicky stated that she can provide me with glasses in an hour that I can use for both the computer and to read, so i agreed to pay for the ridiculously high priced glasses and wait an hour for them. When I get into work on Tuesday, April 9th I realized that I cannot see my computer with them and when I take them off my eyesight remains blurry for a few seconds. So needless to say I lost a day of work because of it. I went back to Cohen's after work on Tuesday the 9th and was told by the General Manager Christine Nicoletti that I was not only provided the wrong prescription from the doctor but I was also given a pair of reading glasses only which will not work for the computer. So I purchased a pair of eye glasses that I cannot use. I was there for over an hour without any resolution when at 7pm I decided to head home.
I asked the GM for a full refund because at this point I am truly disgusted because they sold me a pair of glasses that are not worth anything to me. General Manager Christine Nicoletti stated that she was not able to provide me with a full refund until she spoke to the District Manager by the name of Angelica. I am requesting a FULL REFUND because not only did they provide me with terrible customer service but i purchased something that is of no use to me.

Cohen's Fashion Optical glasses

I had a exam and got glasses from you people. After I received them they didn't seem right, the sales person said since they are progressive glasses the will take time getting use to. I wore them for two weeks, my vision was blurry and I couldn't read, I brought them back and told them my complaints, they told me that they were the right ones, that my eyes wouldn't be 20/20, I said also looks like a cobweb looks like it's going through my right lenses he said it's the light reflection. He told me I should go to a optimist which I did, he gave me a prescription for them, which was totally different from the one you people did. So I waited almost two weeks to get my glasses, which I had to call since no one ever told me they were in. I went to go get them the woman just handed them to me and walked away, not one person asked me how do they fit or can see better, nothing, not a word so I walked out and I tried them at home, worse then before, I just don't understand it. I spent enough getting them so I could see and nope it's worse

I had the same issues as this customer and was given the exact same explanation. I brought the glasses back and they had my eye tested again and is giving me something stronger. I was have two pairs done and when the first one was not right i requested to have the second one cancelled and my money reimbursed. However the store refused. I reported the issues to the customer service and requested my money back. ($2300) I don't have the classes and the company refuses to give me my money back.
