THESE GUYS ARE UNREAL, CLAIM THEY ARE THE BIGGEST YACHT BROKERS ON THE WEST COAST? I LOOKED THEM UP ON LINE AND COMPARED THEM TO OTHERS IN THE INDUSTRY, WHAT A JOKE ! I WAS APPROACHED BY THEM TO LIST MY BOAT, ESTIMATED $375, 000, FOR 10 % COMMISSION WHICH IS WHAT I UNDERSTAND IS THE INDUSTRY STANDARD. MEANWHILE MY BUDDY GETS A LETTER/ FLYER FROM THEM ATTACHED TO HIS BOAT OFFERING FAR LESS OF A COMMISSION. I WONDER IF THESE GUYES CURRENT LISTINGS KNOW THEY ARE GETTING SCREWED FOR HIGHER COMMISSIONS THAN THESE GUYS ARE OFFERING TO NEW CUSTOMERS. MY OPINON... THESE GUYS ARE USED CAR SALESMEN...
You are correct, this guy is a crook, a liar and I also heard he got into trouble on the east coast involving under age girls. He has burned every bridge with every yacht broker he has worked for in the puget sound area since he came here when I first met him in 2000. The only reason he has this business is because he tricked a woman with money to bank roll it. He is not to be trusted or done business with.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
To the Person Claiming to be Peter Motlik: The Pierce County Sheriffs Department came to your house at 4304 Lupine Court in Gig Harbor on three separate occasions in regards to Dana and Peter Motlik vandalism and cyber attacks against Emerald Bay Yachts and its owner. (Incident numbers [protected], [protected] and [protected]). The Gig Harbor Police Department also became involved with the case (Incident # GH-09056.1).
Peter Motlik was also a defendant in a lawsuit in the Superior Court of the State of Washington in and for Pierce County (Case No. [protected]) filed by Emerald Bay Yachts against Dana Motlik, Peter Motlik, and the two owners of NW Yachtnet in Tacoma, Kurt Kingman and Bob Berglund for Libel and Slander and Tortious Interference, among other illegal acts.
Peter Motlik and Dana Motlik are spiteful, vengeful people as the above postings demonstrate.

No Scott Alprin I wrote true statment above about you . My name is Peter Motlik and you are the one who is using my name (my identity ) and you are the one who is writing all these untrue statements. Does term Slander mean anything to you ? I can not wait for the court date when I will expose you and you will pay dearly for all your actions. Remember justice will prevail.
Most of the above hateful comments were posted by Dana Motlik a terminated employee of Emerald Bay Yachts. Dana is currently selling yachts at NW Yachtnet in Tacoma and tries to gain an advantage in sales by smearing her competition. Unfortunately, her unethical behavior has gone on unabated since she was fired for alcohol and anger issues in 2009. A lawsuit was filed against her and her husband, Peter Motlik in 2010 but has not stopped their vengeful and hateful retaliation against Emerald Bay Yachts and its owner.
Since I have been dragged into this I want to share with the readers the facts on what happened to Dana Motlik. Yes she worked for him and was fired, but he did not mentioned that he never paid her commissions for the sold boats in the time period. She had a no compete contract which stated that she will be paid within 30 days. He was promising like a used car salesman that she will get it, time passed and nothing. My name is Peter Motlik and I just find out this web site and I have to respond to the above comments posted on May 1st 2013. I did not write this ! It is obvious that the culprit is Scott Alprin of Emerald Bay Yachts who registered in my name and wrote the garbage above ! Shame on you ! I have moved to Europe almost 3 years ago, but to drag my name into something like this? Seems to me Scott Alprin is the one on drugs. Reading the above accusation of a smear campaign is a joke, Dana Motlik and I have nothing to do with it and the three counts of malicious vandalism ? I do not even know what was done to him ? If we were suspects in anything I think that we would at least be contacted by police dep. but I did not even receive a phone call.

Dana Motlik is my ex-wife and was fired by the company she worked for before she was hired by NW Yachtnet and has done many nasty and illegal things to get back at the owner of the company that fired her. DON'T BELIEVE ANY COMPLAINTS SHE HAS POSTED OR ANY OF THE ANONYMOUS STATEMENTS SHE HAS MADE UP! THEY ARE ALL LIES AND POSTED BY A REALLY DISTURBED WOMAN.
I lived with this woman for nearly 20 years and the police were frequent visitors to our house. Two times she was handcuffed and thrown in jail for assaulting me and threatening our two children when she was drunk and on drugs. Her alcohol and drug abuse got worse and worse over the years and her lies and deceit grew to intolerable levels and she was arrested for drunk driving and driving under the influence of drugs. I divorced Dana and far away to escape her psychotic behavior. She is a vengeful, hateful and dangerous woman who has gone out of her way to harm everyone she dislikes or that stands in her way.
If you want the real truth go to the "Puget Sound Boater Forum". What is posted here is nearly all fabrication created by unethical competitors who are trying to smear this business's good name. I have worked with Scot and his team on two occasions and can only say the kindest words of appreciation and know many other boater who have had equal success buying and selling boats through them.
He'll sue just about anyone...

PROCEDURAL POSTURE: Appellant, claimant, sued respondent, City of Tacoma and Tacoma Public Utilities (the City), alleging negligence as a matter of law for failing to warn of an overhead power line hazard. The City moved for summary judgment. The Washington trial court granted summary judgment in favor of the City, and the claimant appealed.
OVERVIEW: While sailing, the claimant's sailboat mast hit power transmission cables suspended above the bay. The resulting jolt of electricity severely injured the claimant, threw him into the water, and caused major damage to his sailboat. The appellate court ruled that by including the power lines in the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association (NOAA) charts, the City fulfilled its duty to warn as a matter of law. The NOAA chart for the bay clearly noted the location of the power lines and their clearance of 30 feet above the confluence of the bay and lagoon. The appellate court was bound by the admiralty rule that any boater, even a recreational one, was charged with knowledge of all warnings and hazards contained in the NOAA charts. The claimant did not bother to consult or to take notice of the NOAA chart, which clearly showed the location and clearance of the power lines, and he did not heed the red danger buoys, claiming instead to have mistakenly believed that they marked a no-wake zone, also contrary to the NOAA charts.
OUTCOME: The judgment was affirmed.
The Emerald Bay yacht broker owner has been busy... He recently changed the business name from emerald bay yachts to emerald yachts.

A “smear campaign” has been initiated by Peter and Dana Motlik of Gig Harbor, Washington. Dana is a disgruntled ex-employee of Emerald Bay Yachts that was fired “with cause” in 2009 for alcohol and anger related problems. She is now the focus of a lawsuit brought by Emerald Bay Yachts against her and her present employer, NW Yachtnet of Tacoma. The Motliks, are the prime suspects of the investigation relating to the “smear campaign” and for three counts of malicious vandalism in Gig Harbor. Since the lawsuit was filed, they have posted hateful notices on Craig's List, Google, and other sites and continue to try to deflect their guilt and culpability by tarnishing the reputation of the complainant.
