Family Dollar - the store manager named terry at the store in dallas tx on columbia ave.

I was just in your store for a couple of minutes I was initially greeted by one of your employees who opened the door for me then before I could even make it down an aisle I heard the store Manager complaining about having to be at work and speaking very loudly about being ready to go home. I guess at this time the store manager noticed I was carrying a very small Kitten in a carrier (I looked for a sign that says no animals before I went in and there is not one) but instead of politely asking me to take my animal outside her exact words were "you need to drop that somewhere outside or bring it to the front" I replied with a smile and said its a kitten and actually all I need is dryer sheets and it looks like they are up here anyways" she continued to get louder in front of customers, there was at least 5 people in line and since she was yelling at me no one was helping the customers so instead they were all staring at me while she was making me look stupid in front of everyone. At this point I was getting upset and told her she was being very rude and she told me "No you are rude and you need to take that thing out of here." I did use some explicits when I was walking out the door I was completely embarrassed I would of had no problem having my fiancee hold the carrier while I went in the store but the Manager just started with disrespect and conflict. I have worked in the Customer service industry for 15 years and currently I am a Office Manager for a very well known watch service center in Dallas so I understand getting close to the end of the day and maybe she had a bad day but for her to be a manager and conducting herself in that manner from the very beginning about complaining to another worker and being ready to go is totally wrong. I know this might not be the beat part of town but one of the riches areas in Dallas is walking distance from here and I pass through here on my way home from work and I was frequently shopping at this store but after this I will NEVER stop at this location again while she is working there and will let everyone I know know about how she treated me as well. I went back to the door and asked the other employee if she knew the way I could reach corporate and for the other employees name and which she said she did not have a phone number at this point the Store Manager again got loud in front of other customers and said she does not have to give me any information and I need to leave while I was turning around the other employee whispered that her name is Terry and she is the Manager. I did not cause a scene or say anything back once she asked me to leave I did just that. I really hope she never treats another customer like the way she treated me today but I can honestly say she hurt my feelings and totally disrespected me in front of a lot of people. Please contact me if you have any more questions and to let me know about how this is being handled because I will not be going back to this store if she is working there.
