FlightHub airline ticket not refunded although promised

On June 29th, 2016, I purchased two new tickets and canceled the one bought a few minutes ago, feeling comfortable with their flight cancellation policy, based on a monthly insurance program of 5.95. The agent promised a refund with 2 - 10 days. After many calls, the agent informed me that the ticket had been refunded on the fourteenth. My Bank said that there had been no refund. As of this date, July 18th, Flighthub has not refunded, and the agent asked me to send my bank statements to their billing department for investigation purposes. I will soon be travelling and need my funds. Please help.

FlightHub unauthorized charges

They have been charging my credit card for months in spite of me cancelling an Elite membership I never even signed up for! Stay away from FlightHub. Their service levels, organization and website are absolutely awful and I will never use this company again.

Their website only directs you to call centre representatives for booking a flight. No options for memberships, etc. So I called these people given I had no other contact options available. But then they kept telling me "unless you have a booking number, I cannot help you." WHAT ELSE AM I SUPPOSED TO DO?! I HAVEN'T BOOKED A FLIGHT!

This company is entirely useless in every sense of the word. Based on the reviews I keep reading on them, the informed consumer should stay VERY FAR AWAY.

We are having the same issue... our credit card is being charged $5.95 per month. At first I thought it was a random leftover fee from a trip we booked in March, but upon a closer look at our visa I realized it was coming off each month. I don't even know for sure that it is for an Elite Membership because I haven't been able to speak to anyone at Flight Hub. In any case I did not sign up for this membership and when I have called them I am on hold for ever, then get transferred and left on hold again.

I just called VISA to cancel this mysterious monthly charge in that exact amount of $5.95 stating a transaction from 'FLIGHT HUB CORNWALL'. Of course I tried calling directly but they only service flight related inquires, so I emailed too, to no avail.
Called VISA back to tell them I have emailed and tried to call; their suggestion is to wait 15 days from email to see if the 'merchant' stops with the rolling monthly charge, then, if the charge continues monthly contact VISA and they will try to do something. I asked that VISA just stop the charge, but they stated that FLIGHT HUB is not set up as a merchant with VISA and they can't stop the charges until FLight HUB has 15 days notice. Such a hassle.

FlightHub refund not received and not able to contact

Flighthub refund - why so long - when can i get my money back?

I cancelled my ticket on april 24, 2016 for airline ticket through flighthub.com (Reference# [protected]). It has been over 2 months and i did not yet receive my refund which flighthub promised within 4 to 6 weeks.

I have called flighthub customer service several times since and they kept telling me it is coming. The last called june 3rd and brada, customer service agent, told me that the latest i would receive my refund is june 20. Again i did not receive any refund on that date.

I called them [protected]) today july 8, 2016 to remind them of my refund. However, they put me in recording for two long hours 'your estimate wait time is more than 15 minutes .. There more than 10 quote ahead of you" i am not sure what do with it after 2 hours and drop the call.

There is another problem with this booking, flighthub do not have any email contact so we can reach them at all.

I am going through the same experience. I bought a ticket with their cancellation guarantee policy. Within a few minutes I had to cancel because I needed 2 tickets and FLIGHTHUB showed just one seat. I cancelled the first ticket and bought 2 on different dates. FLIGHTHUB promised to refund within 10 days. AS of this date, it is 18 days, and NO REFUND. They told me that they had refunded and I needed to send them my BANK Statements for them to investigate.

FlightHub will never deal with them again!

I contacted FlightHub to cancel my booking due to health issues.
When I contacted the company they said that they can't cancel and that I have to contact the airlines directly.
When I called the airlines they said that I need to get back to FlightHub.
These guys gave me a run around but in the end they finally agreed and said that I have to pay extra $200 for the cancellation service! It was even more than the total price of my ticket!
Horrible and totally unprofessional company! Will never deal with them again!

FlightHub surprise $60 fee

Checked carefully before booking flight, no small print, nothing to suggest my credit card would be charged an unauthorized fee of $60. Tried calling number, but was taken through a voicemail jungle. Judging by the negative feedback online with FlightHub, I can see now I have been duked. Will try to contact my Credit Card company and request this unauthorized fee to be removed.

Got through to FlightHub; apparently $60 fee is part of full amount charged at time of booking. It is too bad that is not more apparent or that the booking fee and cost of flight is not billed to the credit card closer in date to make this obvious. Hopefully this turns out right.

FlightHub error booking flight - ridiculous change fee

A simple error was made in booking a flight. I selected a cost-effective flight from Myrtle Beach to Toronto. The email confirmation I received did NOT match what I selected, and I'm booked on a flight that involves an overnight stay in the Charlotte airport. Not only is the itinerary incredibly inconvenient, it's more expensive than the option I selected. I have called them numerous times and received rude and unsympathetic customer service. All I want is to rebook on the flight that actually makes (FlightHub can still have my money, begrudgingly, FlightHub) but the rebooking fee greatly exceeds the price I paid for the flight in the first place.

I have been a loyal user of FlightHub over the years, but unless someone rectifies this, never again.

FlightHub customer service / request to change in purchase

I recently purchased 2 tickets. Toronto to the UK. I have 2 different visas and noticed I used the incorrect Visa to purchase the flight. I wanted the purchase to go on my Visa that has travel insurance. I called Flight Hub to make the adjustment. To charge my 1 Visa and then refund the other.
The rep told me that Flight Hub is not able to give any refunds. It is impossible. They're systems will not allow it. I asked to speak with the supervisor. She said that I would be told the same thing, they cannot give a refund. I told her that is a lie since if I was cancelling my flight they would issue me a refund. So why cannot they give this courtesy of adjusting the payment method? The rep became angry with me, raised her voice and said she would not help me. I insisted to speak with a supervisor and was put on hold for 20minutes. No one came to the call.

You made a mistake that can not easily be corrected. In order to correct it, you would need a refund to one card, which includes the cancelling of your ticket, and a charge to the other card, which includes purchasing a new ticket. The problem here is that airline prices fluctuate minute by minute, and the cost may not be the same with the new ticket. You messed up, and it is no one's fault but your own.

FlightHub unauthorized credit charge + awful customer service

I booked a ticket through the FlightHub website; The ticket was $403 including tax before my transaction; then after the transaction, they charged me $535. I was so shocked and called the agent and explained to her what happened.
The supervisor told me to read through carefully; and she told me like I made a mistake and that caused me to pay $535 instead of $403.

She did not even say "SORRY" once during the conversation and totally blamed me that I made a mistake I did not even make! She also was speaking with a loud voice. I could not deal with her anymore. At that time, I was with my friend as well, and he saw what I saw, too.

It was clearly stated that the ticket was $403 including tax everywhere on the website.

I asked her to give my money back; then, she told me that I can't get my money back unless I pay the penalty which was about $100. I was so shocked again and unsatisfied with their services.

The company should stop this kind of fraud, and the company should clearly state the real cost they will charge in CAD at the end (if the customer is buying a flight in Canada); The font size should be big and the price should be written in a black or blue colour so that everyone can clearly see how much they are expected to pay at the end!

The company is showing like they are selling the tickets cheaper than any other companies (i.e., up to 80% sales). This is UNTRUE and the company should stop false advertising too!

They also need to refund the money if the customer felt that something is unfair and not right.

After 1 hour, I found that the company fixed the price. It was their mistake and the supervisor just blamed me for the mistake I did not even make; maybe she thought I was a foolish.

I do not want to speak with them anymore .

FlightHub unprofessional staff

Totally unprofessional company! I wanted to book a flight so I called FlightHub and wanted to book via phone. The rep did not understand what he was doing, he just said that for some reason he could not book a flight for me, that something was wrong with their system. He asked me to call later. When I called again several days later prices already increased! What kind of rep is that who does not know how to book a flight! Used FlightHub many times in the past and never ever was disappointed with this company until now.

I will give Flighthub an opportunity the make things right and refund me the price of my ticket considering what I had to go through dealing with them and having to go through another travel agency and buy another ticket. I will report back and let you all know if they will make things right.
My experience...
I was visiting my mom in the UK. She unexpectedly died while I was there ( a very sad time for me and my family) I had to arrange her funeral etc before I could return home and grieve her loss.
I called Flight Hub to change my return date and asked if they would waive the change fee $250 considering the circumstances which they said yes to.
I had to call them back with information they needed.
All they asked for was it was the death certificate that I provided. Each time you send something you have to wait an hour and call back and you go to the back of the queue and on hold forever.
Once I got through they said now we need a copy of my birth certificate to prove she is my mother which I said why did you not ask for that the first time and who usually travels with their birth certificate? I fortunately did have it on me and I provided it which I am sure they were not banking on that I had. So I had to email that and call them back again and go on hold for ages again, then once I got through they decided the death certificate was not valid? because it did not have a goverment stamp on it. I gave them the name and number of the issuing officer of the death certificate but Flight Hub decided it was not valid end of story.
I just felt so defeated and stressed out at that point and just had to book another flight with fortunately a fantastic travel agency in Scotland called Colpitts World Travel who waived part of their commission and bent over backwards to book me the best flight they could. What a difference but thought why could Flight Hub not have helped me instead of hinder me at such a difficult and sad time.
I am hoping this website can make a difference and make this note count and bring this to Flight Hub's attention.

Worst experience ever. Flight hub should be shut down, they are theives and a nightmare to deal with.
I was visiting my mom in the UK. She unexpectedly died while I was there and had to arrange her funeral etc before i could return home. I called to change my date and waive the change fee which kept changing from $500 to $1500 everytime I had to call them back with information they wanted. First it was just the death certificate that i provided, then they said now we need a copy of my birth certificate to prove she was my mother which I provided which they where banking on that I never had then they said they believed the death certificate was not valid? because it did not have a goverment stamp on it. So this is my quest to warn others and hopefully steer potential customers away from Flight Hub and hurt their pocket like they did mine.

FlightHub unauthorized credit card charge

Complaint against FLIGHT HUB. Booking Reference #[protected]

On May 13, 2016 around 10PM(MT). Me and my friend was trying to book a reservation with Flight Hub for my family’s trip from Manila to Edmonton/May 27 to August 3 (2 passengers). We were trying to avail the flight fare that was posted in their website amounting to $3564.xx (Round trip for 2 Passengers).
Booking Agent JM was dealing with us with the booking. For some reason, he said he was unable to book our preferred itinerary due to seat availability and he will try to find another itinerary for us. We advised him that our credit card limit is only $3620 and if he can find us an itinerary within that price range. After putting us on hold, he then again asked how much our Credit Card can avail then he said he was still in the process of getting a reservation. Then after a series of putting us on hold, we were told that he will transfer our call to the customer support and for us to request to cancel the booking reference [protected] because he was able to book only for 1 passenger but we are requesting for 2 passengers, and he wanted us to cancel it right away for us not to pay cancellation charges. We were surprised that he booked already without confirming with us the details. We got more confused and shocked when we were talking to KAREN from Customer Support, when she mentioned that the booking made was for 2 passengers and the total charge was $4382.98. We were surprised that he already charged the credit card and not only charged but OVERCHARGED. And the bad thing is, the processing of refund will take 2 to 10 business days. How are we going to buy ticket now that we don’t have available balance in our Credit Card? The planned trip is on May 27th, for the family to attend a special occasion here in Edmonton.

We called our bank to request to process the refund transaction right away. The bank said they will be able to process our request, but they need Flight Hub to call them and authorize the release. We called Flight Hub several times (May 15 @ 10:56AM(MT) – Customer Support Agent CHERYLBY, May 15 @ 12:04 PM(MT) – Customer Support Agent JACKSON) to request that they call TD bank to release the authorization but to our dismay they would not do it. Except for the last agent that we talked to, Customer Support agent JONA (May 18 @ 2:08PM (MT)), she tried calling the bank but she is not knowledgeable of Flight Hub’s merchant number and no one in their group, nor her Supervisor, nor the Manager know their Merchant Number which is a NO NO for every business that handles a credit card transaction. So in conclusion, it’s a FAILURE. They were not able to resolve the issue that they themselves had made and now it is US that is suffering.

NOW, because of the booking mistake of the Flight Hub Agent, we are having this dilemma:
-Our Credit Card has no available balance, and with this we are unable to buy ticket for the desired trip, and has no idea when the refund will reflect
-Our family will not make the planned trip and attend the occasion
-Our credit card is OVERCHARGED, where in fact, it is showing a NEGATIVE balance because of the overcharging and might pay overcharge fee

This is a nightmare for us booking with Flight Hub.

To the Flight Hub Management, we hope that you could look into this as this is not giving a good rating for your company.

I was very unhappy after they did unauthorized credit card charge. Please be careful with the website. They advertised like they will sell the tickets cheaper than any other websites and then you will find that your money is gone !

Same thing happened to me. I booked a ticket through the website and it was 403$ including tax before the transaction. Then, after transaction, they charged me $535. I was so upset and called the agent at the company; They kept telling me that the price was $535 and I needed to go back and check again. I was so upset with their answer since first they avoid answering my question and solving the problems and second they blame me for the mistakes I did not even make ! I asked them to give my money back then they said they can't unless I pay for their penalty which can be $100 !

FlightHub flighthub airline reservation change

So, my wife and I had an easy time booking tickets with Flighthub. The problem was when we wanted to make a change to the reservation. We were charged fees to cancel it, and fees to re-book it, and we were also only allowed to re-book the ticket on the same airline to and from the same destinations. Basically, we ended up with a credit available only for use on United airline and only at the same destinations that was worth what we paid minus $350. We tried many times through many media to reach out to their customer service, receiving either service from a call center in India that was staffed by folks who could not understand what I was saying or receiving 1-2 sentence email correspondences from their "escalation team". I understand that they deal with airlines and airlines have their own fees, but as I see it, if we are assessed a "cancellation fee", then we should be returned the value of our ticket minus that fee and be able to use that credit on any airline we choose. Otherwise, we should be assessed a fee for changing our reservation within the single airline, and should be able to use that credit from any location within the same airline. As it stands, we were charged fees to cancel, fees to book, and are limited to using only one airline to fly from Toronto to Chicago. Customer service was no help at all. The most pleasant experience in dealing with them was the hold music. I will never use this service again and cannot more strongly recommend that no one ever use Flighthub.

FlightHub billing practices

Was charged two times (3 days apart) for a flight booked for one person. Customer Service - both phone and email - was totally useless. Tried to say that there was only one charge even though I emailed them proof from my bank. Then the story changed and they tried to say that it was a charge from another flight that was completely canceled. Had to contact BBB and they did not side in FlightHub's favor.

FlightHub has countless bad reviews regarding their billing practices and has an F score with BBB. DO NOT USE!

FlightHub your $5.95/month charge for membership... I didn't subscribe to!

Hello...I did not knowingly subscribe to any membership with Flighthub...
But am charged $5.95/month for Apr 8 and May 8...along with several charges of $1.00 each. You should make it very clear on your website so that people are unknowingly subscribing to this membership. First I heard of this! I travelled to Tampa with Flight to save some money...not to be gouged with hidden fees.
Please refund to my Visa, the 2 months @ $5.95 each...charged to me, along with the several (I lost count, there were so many)...$1.00 amts.

I'm charged on my Visa ...with April 8th and may 8th membership fees..of $5.95 each month..along with several charges of $1.00 (I lost count..there were so many). I DID NOT subscribe to this membership. Your website is very sneaky and misleading. Unless I receive a refund back to my Visa of all those charges, I will not book with FlightHub ever again. These are insane charges...I simply booked a flight to Tampa on your website to save myself, a senior some money...but it looks like I've been gouged. Please refund me my money Asa'sp.

I am extremely mad when I was charged 16.95$ once. When I searched for flights I was asked to put my email to get new notifications about the flights. They did NOT mention how much it costs AT ALL. I HATE this. This is too much CHEATING. Flight hub is cheating on their customers.

We met the exactly same thing (charged 1 dollar several times and 5.95 in May 14 and Jun 14), and not able to see any description about the membership fee. I am 100% it is fraud.

It is clear on the website that you are signing up for a membership when you use the discount service. You have to accept it before you can pay. You have to read everything before you click those buttons.

FlightHub horrible customer service

I am not one to complain, but I had the most horrific customer service with FlightHub and I want to make sure to pass on the message of that beware before you book with Flighthub.

I was on the Flighthub website and when I was searching, I was sure that the Canadian flag was present because I wanted to pay in Canadian dollars. As I was changing the dates, I found the flight I wanted, so I clicked and paid. I received a confirmation that I paid, but I was shocked that I was charged a lot more than the flight I had chosen. Somehow, the flight I had chosen was in American dollars and when I saw my confirmation, my flight was a lot more expensive than what I was willing to pay. So, I called customer service and I received rude service from a woman. I got charged 75$ to cancel my reservation and we had to try to book another flight. There was no way of not getting the 75$ waived, I tried. But worse than losing 75 hard earned dollars, I had to deal with the young woman who was completely rude to me because at times it was hard to understand her because of all the background noise at Flighthub. She was very annoyed when I asked her to repeat herself and she would continue in a rude tone, ''like I told you from the beginning'' and then repeat what I asked her to confirm. I asked her for her name and she said she would give it to me after we book. Well, I was put on hold for a long time. In total I was on the phone with her for about an hour due to all the holds. After I booked with this woman, I asked for her name and she disconnected me. I have used Flighub several times in the past year and have learned there is hidden and misleading information on their options, such as insurance. I already knew this, the hard way after booking a trip overseas last year, but I was flabbergasted that as I tried to get my accidently booking reimbursed, I was charged 75$ and I had to rebook with the rudest person I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with over the phone. Buyer beware!

FlightHub flight ticket from toronto to seoul

I purchased a ticket on September 29, 2015 going from Toronto to Seoul with one stop in JFK on May 10, 2016. I received an email on March 21, 2016 that there was a change with the airline schedule. I talked to an agent and he offered me three options that I could choose from. I was happy with the options the agent offered me.

However, today April 15, 2015, I had to call them again because there is another change on my ticket. I was upset that I had to call them again because the calls take about 50 minutes and I am in the middle of my final exams.

Anyway, I called. The agent said the change was not approved so I have to pick an option from Toronto to JFK, but she only came back with one option. The flight departs at 6:00am from Toronto arriving at JFK in 7:50am. The flight from JFK to Seoul is at 1:25pm. This means that I have to waste my valuable time at the airport for about 6 hours. The ticket that I bought in the first place only had layover of less than three hours.

I explicitly told the agent that I was not happy with that long layover. However, she was repeating herself, that this was the only option. I requested if she could change the flight from JFK to Seoul so the layover is not that long, she said she couldn't because apparently she couldn't change the flight from JFK to Seoul. Then, I asked her if I could get another option from Toronto to JFK. But she said I could only take Delta (?Which makes no sense to me) and there was only one options from Delta.

I was not very happy with these results, so I asked the agent if I could talk to a manager, and she refused because the mangers don't take customer calls (?This is the first company that I was forbidden to speak with the manager ). She did not even bother to go to the manager and ask about this situation.

I did not accept that offer because 6 hours of layover is very inconvenient and this is a huge waste of my time and I will get tired of waiting.

The company should offer the flight schedule that is the closest with the ticket that I bought in the first place.

The agent keeps repeating that it's not their fault and they cannot offer other options because they have to stick with the certain airline. This is nonsense, and I am very disappointed with flight hub and their customer service.

Not only that I have wasted my almost 2 hours of valuable time and I have to call them again tomorrow to seek another option, which I will be wasting another hour.

I am not requesting to get me better options than the ticket I purchased in the first place. At least, the company should do their best to provide the closest flight schedule. I bought the ticket because it was the best for me. If the schedule was changed and I couldn't get the flight schedule that I wanted at the time of purchase, I would not have bought the ticket in the first place.

FlightHub voyages a la carte (flighthub) cancelled our pre-reserved seats just a few days before the flight departure.

What a nightmare.
We recently purchased from Voyages à la Carte (FlightHub) airline tickets for our flights from Montreal to Munich and return – we also paid for our confirmed pre-reserved seats.
Without informing us, Voyages a la Carte (FlightHub) cancelled our pre-reserved seats just a few days before the flight departure.
We were informed by Lufthansa at both airports (Montreal and Munich) that our seats reservation was not in their system – as a result, we were assigned seats of lower value.
This caused us considerable harm and inconvenience - especially as one of us just had a cast removed following a fracture of the arm.

Our several emails requesting an explanation and a full refund - addressed to the President of Voyages à la Carte (FlightHub) in Ville St-Laurent, Quebec remain ignored and unanswered.

Never again with Voyages à la Carte (FlightHub).

FlightHub no refund for cancellation because of death in family

My Flight was booked from Delhi to Chicago on feb:7 and due to death of my son in law. i had to travel to Canada on jan 20 and I called flight hub about this matter to refund me my ticket back and then i was asked to provide the proofs of death certificate, which i sent it through email. and then they cancelled by ticket. and said i will get a refund in 4-6 weeks and now they are saying i wouldnt get my refund. i am not asking for a full refund, altleast they can take cancellation charge and refund me the remaining amount..
and now when ever i call them, they put me on hold for an hour and then just hang up and never called back..

I am so sorry for your loss. No one should have to go through what you have gone through. I too had terrible customer service through Flighthub and I too was hung up on. I tried making a complaint to Flighthub, but they refused to even get me a manager to complain to. I am not generally a complainer, but I feel that Flighthub is conducting business in an unethical, misleading and unprofessional manner. I will avoid Flighthub and I am sorry I ever booked with them.

FlightHub false advertising for flight discounts

This company is in the practice of buying keywords for cities and flights and advertising 80% off when no flights exist for this route. Type in any random city and an 80% discount connects your search word with a generic promotional offer. This is false advertising developed to drive traffic to their website and mislead the customer to believe there are cheap flights available on their website. Misleading advertising. See the attached as an example. I tried a bunch of different dates for flights and all return "no available flights". Yet they are advertising "last minute" available flights. This type of marketing practice needs to be stopped. It's unethical and misleading.

FlightHub booking cancellation

Wednesday March 10th my father found out that his good friend had passed away in Croatia so I check FlightHub for available flights. I find a fight leaving the next day, Thursday March 11 at 1:25pm and arriving in Zagreb in time for my dad to make the Funeral. The fight cost $1561 so I book the flight. The FlightHub site says that the booking was successful so I look at my e-mail and see a message from FlightHub "Your reservation needs immediate attention". I open the e-mail and find out the payment didn't go through so I call the bank to authorize the payment and follow the link in the FlightHub e-mail to pay with another card that also has more than enough extra funds, just in case.
I receive a message that the payment was successful and a separate e-mail from FlightHub titled "Booking Notification". This e-mail says "Thank-you for booking with FlightHub! Your reservation is CONFIRMED!" It also has a Turkish Airlines Record Locator number and FlightHub Booking reference number and a message under this saying "Your reservation is confirmed. No need to call to reconfirm this reservation".
The next morning I see a message from FlightHub titled "Urgent-Booking Cancelled". The e-mail lists off several possible reasons the booking may have been cancelled. I call FlightHub and am told everything from it was too short of a time to actually book the ticket to, the ticket was no longer available by the time you provided the other card (first e-mail said we had several hours? and second e-mail confirmed the booking?) to while the transaction was being processed the price of the ticket had changed so the transaction never actually went through. How is it possible that I then received a confirmation after I provided the second card for payment? Apparently it was now too late to re-book the flight through FlightHub (even though the flight was still being offered on the FlightHub website as I was on the phone with them). I was told to go to the airport to buy a ticket directly. I tried calling Turkish airlines and they had no record of that ticket under the "Turkish Airlines Record Locator" number provided me in the e-mail confirmation nor any record of a ticket in my father's name ever being reserved.
FlightHub will send you a false confirmation with a false booking number and try to charge your credit card even though they did not even book the ticket for you. They try to make the "Airline Record Locator" look like the ticket number and you are sent your itinerary with flight details and airline numbers and you even pick your seat! Meanwhile, they have not even contacted the airline to make the reservation. This is false advertising and should be illegal. Nowhere was I notified that the "Confirmation" was not actually a confirmation nor that the ticket was not actually booked yet. I had to buy a same-day ticket for my father which cost me substantially more as I was under the impression that I had a confirmed ticket and did not bother to look for any other tickets in the meantime.
Flight Hub should not be allowed to send out confirmations or airline locator numbers that are false and are made to look like everything has been booked. How can they issue a number on behalf of Turkish Airline that the airline has no record of? FlightHub should not have the right to issue a confirmation until they have actually guaranteed the purchase of the ticket.
Also, based on the list of "reasons" why the flight might be cancelled, it looks like FlightHub can cancel a reservation for almost any reason with no obligation to the customer.

FlightHub flight changes

Monday Feb 29/2016 Flight Hub Booking number [protected] and British Airways booking number 8HPVCF It was less then a day before my husband and son were to fly home from a father and son trip to Isreal when I got some awful news. My son had his passport stolen. I was horrified now what. My husband would have to deal with the temporary passport on there end but I would have to arrange getting them home. I contacted flighthub where the message tells you that you may be charged a minimum of 250 dollars to change your reservations. After talking to the person and a considerable amount of time a charge for almost 1700 dollars was charged to change the tickets. There original tickets for both ways was 2400. I told was told that I would receive the confirmation within 24 hours. I asked if they could please send that as soon as possible as he needed the flight confirmation letter to get his new passport. A short time later I get a phone call saying their was changes made to the flight and that it would cost 20 dollars more. So I told them to go ahead and charge it. She phones back and tells me that they cant do it that way. That the money they charged is a hold and it would revert back in 24 hours but in the meantime she would need another 1700 plus dollars to put the new charge thru or we would lose the flight. So we found a way of doing that and another hold was put on another card. Again I mentioned the need for the confirmation right away. By now I was scared that it wasn't getting processed right and we were not going to have the paperwork to get the passport. All night I kept checking for the paperwork and nothing and the consulate was about to close and they were closed to the public the next day so we were running out of time. Finally using the reservation code that we had and looking up the flight plan we were able to give that to the consulate instead. They accepted that as there were no other options. Again I phoned to see if we could get the confirmation sent as soon as possible because I was feeling worried about the seemingly unreliableness of the conversation. I was then told that they were working on it and to call back in 2 hours. I called back in 2 hours and then there was some concern that those seats were no longer available yet again. So I made arrangements so I could have more money available if there was to be yet another charge. In the meantime I looked up British Airways and the flight was listed as confirmed. So I printed the itinerary and forwarded it to flighthub. Again I phoned. I was told they may have to find a different flight on a different day but I did not know if that was going to work with his temporary passport. So I told her about the information I had forwarded to them. This time this lady seemed a little more helpful then the rest and she said she would call me back in one hour. She called back in close to 2 hours but she said those seats that were still available but the price had now gone up to 1800 and some. I said I could give her a card number but I needed a guarantee that this would be the last time because they already had holds on over 3400 dollars. She said she would call me back in 10 min. 20 min later she told me she had her supervisor wave some of there fees and had put the amount thru on one of the original holds and it was officially paid for. She said she would call back in 2 hours to let me know that the confirmation had been sent to my email. I waited 3 hours but nothing. So called back and I was told it would take 5 hours to process it. By next morning I was worried. still nothing. My husband was supposed to be getting on the plane in 14 hours. I tried to check him in to see if it worked on the british airways sight and it wouldn't let me and said to contact someone and maybe a new ticket could be reissued. So I started calling back. I would be on hold and then all of sudden I was on a customer survey line. Next time I was just plain cut off. After calling 12 times I got a hold of someone. they told me not to worry that it was in processing and I would receive the information with in 24 hours. I told them my husband was leaving in 12 hours for the airport. So they told me to call back in 2 hours and that the file had already been flagged as urgent. So I called back in 2 hours and was told the same thing. And again and again. One of the times one person told me I was trying to check in on the wrong site and that I was supposed to check in with Westjet. I told her that couldn't be because only the calgary to saskatoon was operated by westjet. She said no and put me on hold for half an hour while she got me a booking number for west jet. So in case she was right I tried online but it didn't work. So I phoned just so as not to miss anything. The lady I talked to laughed and said that flighthub didn't know what they were talking about. So I had to call back again. Finally we were 4 hours from them leaving and I talked to someone who said well I would definitely have something within the hour because it was marked urgent and she now had the support team on it. In an hour still no email. I was about to phone again when I decided to check the British airways site and it actually let me check them in. We did finally receive the confirmation etickets from Flighthub but it was almost 2 hours after they had already checked into the airport. I am glad it is over. It will take at least a few more days to catch up on the missed sleep I incurred trying to get this arranged. Also created some financial losses as I spent what is one of our busiest sales days at our office on the phone. No where in all of this can I understand how they can take your money without guaranteeing you that the tickets are yours and resell you the same ticket at higher price over and over again.
