Freedom Mortgage Getting freedom mortgage to respond to a refinance request

I have written to Freedom Mortgage seeking to refinance my first mortgage loan [protected] which now carries an interest rate of 3.75%. Current rates are under 3%. I cannot get anyone to respond to my email messages that I left on their message center. My first message was July 16 where I said Re: Loan number [protected]. Our current interest rate is 3.625% and we would like to see about refinancing at a lower rate. Please let me hear from you about the next steps to do that.; My second message was July 21: Hi. It's been 5 days since I first wrote to you and I have had no response. I would like to hear from someone very soon. Our Loan number is [protected]. Our current interest rate is 3.625% and we would like to see about refinancing at a lower rate. Please let me hear from you about the next steps to do that.; My most recent message was July 25: Hi. This is my third message in the past week about wanting to refinance our current mortgage rate. Please let us hear from you.
Thank you.

Hopefully you can help. Dennis Terwilliger

Freedom Mortgage Misapplication / misappropriation of mortgage payments

I have been in bankruptcy since 2018. The court released my home from the bankruptcy. Freedom Mortgage, I'm told, was advised. In early February, I received a statement that showed me 30 days past due on my mortgage payment. All my mortgage payments are paid each month automatically from my banking account. In my attempt to speak with Freedom Mortgage, they refused to speak with me. They did advise me to have my attorney to send them a letter to allow them to speak with them. He says that he did. They say that they have nothing. In the meantime, my account continues to reflect the account past due. The payment in December was $746 and recently increased in June, still showing my account 30 days past due. Still refusing to address the issue, I asked them to fix the account. You don't have to have a conversation with me. Call the attorney directly yourself to obtain clearance to fix the account. My credit rating dropped over 20 points and continue to show me 30 days past due. Interest continues to accumulate and my 2019 end-of-year tax report is incorrect; yet, they take no action to resolve. Where is basis customer service and humanism. This is NOT the first time that my payments were misapplied. I am so fed up and frustrated! Can anyone apply some common sense? Where is my money? Don't tell me that you cannot review the account. I want to believe that I am more than just a transaction. This is my life. Please take the initiative and correct the accounting to include adjusting all interests, etc. I am enclosing a copy of the proof of payment. Loan number [protected]

Freedom Mortgage Credit reporting

My name is Ronald Waymer,

I have been doing business with you all for many years. I have never been 30 days late on my loan so I expected better customer service than what I received.
I called in several times because there was a discrepancy with my payment due to an escrow problem and no one seemed to know how to help me. My payment increased by $500 and no one could figure out when it was going to go back down because of the escrow shortage that needed to be corrected. Keep in mind, this was during the start of the Covid-19 epidemic and I was on hold for over an hour each time I called. After several more calls I finally got an agent that suggested an escrow analysis. The agent stated that the analysis would return my payment back to the correct amount. I asked the agent should I make the April payment now and the agent advised me to wait until the analysis was complete. Once the analysis was complete I made the payment on April 28th. When I received a 30 day late notice on my credit report, I called in again and the agent I talked to looked up the account and assured me that they received the payment and that she could see that the payment was received before 30 days late and that all I needed to do was email the company and request a credit correction for the payment. The agent assured me that this would be taken care of.
Now today when I called to verify that it was corrected the agent in the credit correction department stated that they would not be making the correction. Stating that the payment was received on May 1st. I am very upset and disappointed at this level of customer service. I feel that I did what I was instructed by the company and also made my payment on time. I have never had a 30 day late payment on my Mortgage loan. I don't feel that under all of these circumstances, due to no fault of my own that I should be penalized and lose points on my credit. I am appealing to you once again to make the credit correction on my loan.

Freedom Mortgage Escrow and payment being messed up

This is simple, that's why I can't figure out why FM can't get it right and fix it, it's almost comical.
I am a 100% disable Veteran living in Arkansas with a V.A. loan, and because I live here the state law says I don't have to pay property tax. The first year went fine and I paid no property tax, but then the second year is when it was wrong and went up so I spent 3 months getting them to lower my payment back down. I had to fax copies of my V.A. paper and tax receipt, it was finally figured out but then it still didn't go back down to it's original amount. I just figured it was because my insurance had went up, but since then I found out it has only gone up $24 in the last 7 years. Well for the past 6 years FM has been charging me my property taxes with my insurance on my monthly payment. Every year I turn in my V.A. paper to the county tax office, and fax it to FM, so when FM calls the county tax office they say I owe ZERO dollars, but FM still charges me. Every time I call they say they will refer it to the tax office for review. Then after about a month later my monthly payment goes up. I've even had the FM tax person call me and then call my local elected Tax Collector so we can conference call, and my county tax collector personally told her I owed zero dollars, and my Tax Collector send an official email from the tax collector's office showing I owed zero. All I get from FM is we will have to review it and make adjustments on your payment, and every year they say if you have been over charged we will refund your money back and send you a check, that was back in August of 2019 when I last talked to them, I haven't received a check yet and my payment is still approximately $150 higher a month than it should be.
So, a first grader could figure this out... If I have a Federal paper that says I owe ZERO
My official elected County Tax Collector says I owe ZERO
So shouldn't it be ZERO in your office too?

Freedom Mortgage loan payoff

We have called multiple times. Once we where told loan payoffs take a week. We called a week out and where told it only takes 24 hours. We called 24 hours out and are now being told we can't even speak to anyone until 24 to 48 hours. I have never written a review or complaint until today. I am reaching out to anyone that can help. I am simply being told there is no way to expedite my request. I work for a company that provides customer service for some of the largest corporations in the US. My spouse is a director for a call center servicing hundreds of thousands employees across America. We know that what we are asking for is possible. Our loan was originally through Caliber home loans. Caliber was purchased by Freedom Mortgage. If you could not handle the transition of the loans, Why take the deal? Greed of course. This transaction will now cause my wife, myself, and a 9 year to have no home to go too. I hope Me. Middleman sleeps well in his new Mansion.

I have been with this company since 2016... I had a major medical issue and asked for interest only payment for one month, this company would do nothing to help us, we don't want our credit hurt without their help so we will not be able to pay our utilities or food in order to keep our credit... We were told that if on of us passed away that freedom mortgage will not have the insurance to payoff the mortgage... Do not use this company... I had a major concussion and wa out of work and going through concussion therapy and they will not help us on an interest only payment without a late payment fee... I am looking to refinance... Never use this company... They are terrible!

Freedom Mortgage refinance problem

Freedom Mortgage currently holds my mortgage so I contacted them about a refinance quote. Peyton Morris in customer service was supposed to take my application over the phone and call me back in 15 minutes with an estimate.
1. First problem, she called me back late, apoligized and said that she had my information and would try again when she returned to the office.
2. I called and left a meesage to please give me a call with the numbers as soon as possible.
3. Next day, I called in the morning, her line was busy, went to voicemail. I left a message.
4. A few hours later, no return call from Freedom yet, I called again, left another voice mail.
5. A few more hours, no return call yet, her line is reporting that she is out to lunch.
6. A few more hours, I called she is again on the phone. I asked for her manager, Spencer Aucoin. He is on the phone as well. Left a message requesting a call back.
7. I called after my lunch, now her line is reporting that she is gone for the day. Seriously unprofessional.
8. I called the manager again and he is not available again. What is going on with these people?
I must say that for them to claim that this will take 15 minutes and then not be able to complete it in 24 hours, says that maybe they do not appreciate their current customers or possibly they don't know what they are doing. Or both.

Freedom Mortgage Payoff mortgage

I am doing a short sale on son's house and I cannot seem to be able to get a payoff on the deal. I have loss on short sale due to Freedom not responding to me and the buyer walked This is the second time I have a buyer and I cannot lose this sale because of the incompetence of Freedom Mortgage. Every time I call I get a different person and have to tell the whole sorry story again. I am fixing to call and file a formal complaint with the government. Would be happy to have someone call me and rectify the matter.

Freedom Mortgage mortgages

Freedom mortgage is currently holding onto thousands of dollars owed to my daughter and her husband for six months now. They sold their house and paid freedom mortgage off. There is a balance due to my daughter and her husband. This company will not let them talk to only representatives and will not even issue them their own notes on their account. They are committing fraud and stealing from consumers. Btw this was a veterans loan.

Freedom Mortgage applying payments to your loan

Our loan payment increased due to escrow shortage. Freedom Mortgage expressed repeatedly that we could break the payments up meaning as long as the principal & Interest is paid then the escrow can be paid on the backend of the loan, this was all stated on their recorded line. Even when we would call the automated number to make a payment the automated message stated thre principal& interest payment was the minimum payment due but the full payment including the escrow was the suggested payment due. Sure enough we make the p&I payment and now they are reporting our payment 30 days late which is hitting our credit report! Now I'm having to escalate the matter.

Freedom Mortgage loan modification

loan number [protected]. I have been trying to have my acct handled since 7/2017 with a loan modification. Since then FM has been tacking on fees and keep sending my file to different underwriters who require slightly different docs. They wait until the end of every month when docs like bank statement expire within the 2 month window. Gave them proof of child support since my state does not give statements or deposit into your personal bank acct. Everything as explained in my Letter of explanation but every 2 months I find myself writing the same explanation. My last resort is taking this to court. FM will not and has refused to take payments causing monthly fees and interest on the growing past due amount. e can't even continue our insurance and this house has had so many issues since moving in after being built in 2015. FM has done nothing but drag out the loan modification, have access to all my personal and bank information and continue to care about saving our home. I was told the modification was to take up to 45 days. They wait almost 50 days to say the file is incomplete after receiving letters saying the file was complete. This needs to be resolved now. From 7/2017 till present day 2/6/19, a resolution needs to be made. We needed a lower payment but all we got are more payments owed to FM with these outrageous fees.

STOP all payments to FM. Contact your bank and tell them the situation. This is fraud. Everything you describe is what mortgage modification scammers so.

Contact the state Attorney General office. Ask for consumer complaints. Also try the Better Business Bureau.

Freedom Mortgage loan pay off

They are the worst. A normal lender you call with the proper info and you get a payoff there and then. With these guys its just the run around. They dont want the loan to be paid off. 4 days now and still no payoff. Same old tired answers. It takes 24 hours to process. Then it never shows up. When you call its the same. Repeat process. If I could give it minus zero stars I would but this site wont let me. They are obviously not an ethical company by any stretch of the imagination. I am a real estate broker and occasionally you run into these lenders that are more like car title loan lenders.

Freedom Mortgage payments

In February of 2018, we received a phone call directly from Freedom maortgage stating to us that we had extra money in our account and they wanted to know what to do with the funds. We always pay extra on our account each month. We asked them to put the money toward our loan payments. That money was applied to our loan putting us two months ahead on payments. Each month we continued to receive statements resulting in 0.00 due. We continued to make monthly payments in September 2018 we decided to not make a payment because we were two months ahead. That's when they called us and informed us that we were behind and they would forclose if we didn't pay immediately. Now saying they took our money back without notice because they misallocatednwhere the funds should have went. Then gave us a bad credit rating and refuse to fix there mistakes. Basically they stole our money due to their lack of a proper accounting system. Left us with negative reports and zero repercussions for their mistakes. Totally taking advantage of us. Now we have to pay more money on a loan that was paid two months ahead of schedule. Poor business and poor customer service.

Freedom Mortgage contractor not paid for completed services

Absolutely the worst mortgage company in the industry. From their customer service department, loss draft department, and supervisors/managers. We have a 3rd party authorization, a signed contract for the repairs, a 99% completion (at which time the full amount of payment should have been released and yet 2 years later we remain unpaid), resubmitted current licensing/insurance/and a w9, faxed a letter from the home owner requesting payment to be released to us, etc - you name it - we submitted it and they refuse to pay us for work completed that they verified was completed and satisfactory.
If you are a contractor and a homeowner has this mortgage company - do not do the repair work - freedom mortgage will keep the insurance funds and then give you the run around for years on money you are legally owed! - samayoa roofing [protected]

Freedom Mortgage mortgage process

From the beginning of July My Client Joshua Squires has been under contract for a property and was working with this company to get a mortgage on the property. My first contact was Michael Reese. After trying to reach out to him multiple times with no answer and no call back I gave up trying to reach him for information of my clients mortgage and found a new contact. Her name was Kaye Kerzner and she was much more responsive. When there was a change in the contract and I notified Faye on July 12 that the settlement date was moved up. She told me that the loan was going to under writing and that when it came out she would be able to provide me with an updated mortgage commitment date. After that is was radio silence again. I tried reaching out to Michael again when Faye no longer answered me and finally got through to him. I asked him is we were on track to close with the updated settlement and when to be expecting the Closing Disclosure. He had no idea what I was talking about. That's when I find out that Faye was no longer with the company and my client was forgotten about. Then the mad scramble began and Michael told me unless we had missing documents that day we would not close on time. I asked for a list of things needed and radio silence again. I called him every hour emailed him multiple times and even tried reaching out to superiors. After finally reaching through to customer service she provided me the email to the Vice President. At an hour to end of business day, I finally got a partial list of what was needed. Every day after that I was tossed around to different people mostly I've been working with Doug Frimmet who is not only incompetent but was in capable of working in a timely matter. From the start of my interactions with him I asked him for what specifically he needed. Everyday he needed something else. If he had told me from day one all the things he needed i would have provided them to him. What he did instead was drag the process out. If I did not call him I did not get an update if I did not push for him to do something he would not do it. This is unacceptable and My client runs the risk of losing his house over this. Now it's 8 minutes to end of business day and I don't have what I need even though I have worked my tail off to provide everything they need.

Freedom Mortgage excessive home inspection fees and incorrect updates to the credit bureaus

This company is a nightmare to deal with, severe lack of customer service. I've had an ongoing dispute for a couple years now. TransUnion has my account listed as "closed on 02/01/17 and derogatory. I had unfortunately filed bankruptcy in 2012, which this account was included. However, had they helped me with a loan modification when I contacted them for help, I would not have filed bankruptcy. It was to protect my home. A couple years into the Bankruptcy, they contacted me for a modification which was approved. At the time of the modification, this loan was removed from my bankruptcy, but never corrected with the credit reporting agencies. Despite countless complaints with TransUnion, Freedom Mortgage and now the second complaint with CFPB (Consumers Financial Protection Bureau), I can not get this corrected. This has severely impacted my credit score resulting in much higher interest on my accounts.

Additionally, they continuously charge a "home inspection fee" to my account. There's months with several charges added to my account. First of all, nobody has come into my home and conducted an inspection. Secondly, they are paying somebody to continuously drive by my house to see if I occupy the residence. Frankly, driving by doesn't tell you anything especially since I park in the garage. Nonetheless, it's not their business if I'm living there or who I allow to live there. These inspection fees are not authorized nor confirmed. They can not tell me anything about my home, other than what's listed on the county public website. I don't want random people harassing me at my home. I want all of these excessive, unauthorized, unfounded charges removed from my account. Loancare had serviced my account for a short time and when Freedom Mortgage regained my account, Loancare also wanted $500 for a home inspection fee that I disputed as well.

All of you Freedom Mortgage account holders, go on line and take a look at your account to see if you have excessive fees. Maybe we can start a class act law suit or if you're aware of one already started, please post the information. This company has no integrity and should not be operating.

Freedom Mortgage mortgage

Sadly, our mortgage was sold to Freedom Mortgage! We have always had our mortgage payments scheduled to be received no later than the 6th of the month. Every single month, they call us on the 4th to remind us that we are late! I have asked them repeatedly to quit calling and it is bordering on harassment. They continue to call us. Not sure what our next step is, but will be looking into the law in our state to see what constitutes harassment and if we have a legal case, we will file suit.

We filed a complaint with BBB, and Freedom Mortgage responded by providing a copy of the Note that we signed stating that payment was due on the 1st of each month. It also states that their is a 15 day grace period, after which a late fee may be charged.

I can understand if we went beyond the 15 day grace period that they may want to give a courtesy call, but to continue to harass us each month on the 4th is unacceptable.

I may try to refinance just to get out from under this horrific company.

Freedom Mortgage loan servicing mistakes

Freedom Mortgage made a mistake servicing my loan, the problems were resolved,
Freedom mortgage admitted that they made an error servicing my loan but in the process they negatively marked my credit history. Calling them, sending them the requested documents has not resolved the issue of the credit damage. They have refused to remove the mark on my perfect credit history. This effects my clearance for my government contracts, and also my financial future
