All of our reservations have cancellation policies based on our contracts with our various hotel partners. When you book your reservation, this policy is disclosed in full and agreed to when you complete the booking process. This is to insure there is no confusion or miscommunication as to what the penalty or cancellation deadline is attached to the reservation. You agreed to this policy and contractually we are required to pay out for that held room to our hotel partner. For this reason, we are unable to refund in that instance. We are very sorry if you feel this situation is unfair to you, however due to our contracts and your agreement with the cancellation policy, we cannot offer a refund at this time. Made reservations for grandma and aunts to visit,was quoted 308.00 for 2 nights,get charged 454.00 for 2 nights, thought we were booking through hotel and get this rip off site,called and sent emails to company with no resolution

Thought I was on a website to book a room. Shown a price of $80.61 when I gave my credit card I was charged $123.07 non refundable! No fees were ever disclosed. Canceled immediately. Said non refundable.

Booking done by mistake after have been transferred automatically to getaroom site …

I ask for refund or reschedule however the saud no due to cancellation deadline y day which the booking done after deadline if the booking

Cost me 400 without any reason ..

Hilton Garden Inn Sunderland Confirmation number [protected] Booking Confirmation number R4065095944 Payment made at time of booking and not passed on to the Hotel, consequently I had to pay again on arrival. Therefore I feel I an due a refund. Reservation was Check in Monday 17th April Check out Wednesday 19th April 2023.

If you are are serious about being sincere, then make it BOLDLY CLEAR on your La Quinta face page that you are a Third Party and are not in any way part of the Wyndham Corp. Stop advertising a lower rate which you do not honor after the transaction is completed.

This would go a long way in showing you are serious about your reputation. If you don’t change these to very simple requests then let’s just say in Texan parlance and colloquy- You’re full of [censored]!

Extremely frustrating and misleading tactics. Was lead to what I believed was a hotel chain website yet it was not. No disclosure of additional fees until imputing credit card info and those fees then disclosed in an email. Nearly $500 in fees for a 1 night stay. Called multiple times to the hotel and the company, no reservation with the hotel and called daily only to be told they would email someone and to call the following day. I’m traveling 3000 miles with my 3 sons, to show up and not have a room is not acceptable and that’s what was happening. I couldn’t get any resolve and the stated cancellation predated the actual booking date. Now reading many others complaints and class action lawsuit claims is extremely disheartening. Being mislead and deceptive practices make what should be a joyful time to a stressful and frustrating time. Having to invest time and effort to call the hotel, the chain, the company in question for a week to no avail.

I am in the same position right now with them, relating refund. I believe that there refund policy is a scam and they also need to remember that you have first timers that don't understand the policy, so the non refund should be an option for customers to select. You people are wicked and have no conscience nor care about customers well been. I canceled within minutes after realizing and I cannot get a refund nor a rebook ,so my 721usd just went down like that

I was under the impression I was booking directly with the hotel. I was charged 100$ more per night on a 160$ room is booked directly with hotel. Once I realized I called and there are 0 Refunds . I know this hotel and they offer refunds if you cancel with in 48 ours of reservation . This is a terrible deceiving third party site, beware.

I booked a room for the wrong state October 10, 2022. I needed to change my reservation, not cancel it. They wouldn’t do either. The email confirmation said I had until 10 am the next day. Still they would not assist me in any way.

These guys tried to swindle me for an advanced prepay for thousands of dollars. I called their CS # and the “Off Shore” attendant tried to tell me there was absolutely no refund. Thank goodness my CC company interceded and canceled it within minutes.

I reported them to Wyndham for copyright infringement for using there website homepage without permission and with no disclaimer

this is the SLEAZIEST COMPANY I'VE EVER HAD THE DISPLEASURE OF DEALING WITH - Frank, retired 55 year old cop from California SCAMMED in Alajuaela Costa Rica by these damn con artist!

Will soon be contacting the State Attorney General's Consumers Affairs Division and submitting the plethora of complaints I've found on this apparent ongoing 3rd Party Con Artist so called Travel Agency

Complete rip off… stay away at all cost or it will cost you….room stay said $184 then when I hit reserve they charged me $300. When I called immediately to cancel this transaction. I was told no refund no cancellation. Then I spoke to someone in customer service with their dog barking in the background the whole time, completely unprofessional and when I asked to speak to their manager, Surprise, surprise no one is available. All the managers are all in meetings and I will need to call back after waiting 45 mins on hold. Complete sham operation. BBB should close them down. This company is misleading and is committing theft.

The service has not refunded the $185 I am owed. It is a total scam and disgusting. Customer service kept me on hold over 30 minutes and then told me to wait another 7 days when this issue is already 7 days old.

I was on the phone for 5 1/2 hours, spoke with them about charging for a non-refund able room which is wrong. on Wed. night I called the Hyatt Corp and they said no such policy. I called Get a Room back and they called Hyatt and confirmed no such policy they told me to wait 3-5 business days I wasn't even going to the hotel till Nov. 25th I better get my refund by Wed. I also wrote to the better business bureau. you should see all the complaints about this place. If I don't get it by Wed. I'm calling them again

You overcharged me for the room, on the official site the room was 40.00 dollars cheaper. I am very disappointed with this company! Also, the cancelation policy is really crazy NO Refunds even if you book and decide to cancel within 10 minutes of booking. I will never make this mistake again...

THIEVES. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! I mistakenly went through this site thinking it was the real hotel website for a business trip, when planes changed a month ahead of time they kept 100% of my money, they refused to refund any of it or change dates. stay away from getaroom.com

Rubbish! Stay away! Booked with one price, in a confirmation email found out it was doubled for some ‘service charge'. Changing or cancelling is non-refundable. Tried calling their number-useless! My reservation wasn't found! Fully automated service takes ages to pick your name or reservation number and still cannot find it.

This is Everett Strand! I booked a room at the Rohnert, CA Best Western for the nights April 21 - April 23, 2019. I am told by Price Line that you handled the transaction. My credit card was charged on April 22, 2019 $381 and then again on April 24th $318.73. I assume the $381 was a deposit but you kept my money! Please refund the $381! Thanks!

Do NOT use getaroom.com! Made a reservation through them and on the confirmation noticed it was booked in grand rapids Michigan not grand rapids Minnesota. Immediately cancelled the reservation and am now being charged $170 cancellation fee. They won't refund me or work with me to move the reservation to the correct location. I'm so mad!

This has to be the absolute worst booking site EVER. I had a very bad experience with a hotel that booked thru this site. I filed a complaint with the hotel, and they ultimately agreed to refund my money. The problem was with getaroom.com. This had been escalated, and I even managed to get the hotel manager on a 3 way call, contact get a room and everyone agree to the refund, that was on June 16th, it is now July 9th..still waiting, after they told me the funds would be back in my account within 48 hours. My initial call to get a room was on June 2!
Horrible customer service! Book directly with a hotel, or use a more commonly known site like Booking.com or Expedia.com!

I booked a room with this site, cancelled within the no penalty period and was told it would take 3-5 business days to credit my account or up to 30 days depending on my financial institution. This is why I'm leary about giving card info over phone. Cash with a receipt is the only way I'll be doing hotel booking from this point on. It amazes me that money can be taken in seconds but refunds take a act of Congress, a kidney and blood.UGH!

I would give this site 0 reviews if I could. I booked a hotel in December and had to cancel the reservations the bery next day. I was told that I would receive a full refund for the room. Fast forward a month later and I still haven't received the refund. It's nearly impossible to reach someone in their customer service department, and when you email them you receive a generic response that is not specific to your question. I will never ever use getaroom in the future.

Getaroom.com is a bottom feeding company. I also made an error through the kayak android app and called within 5 minutes...no refund no help and the operator was clueless and then blamed me instead of trying to solve the problem. Kayak should not do business with these scam artists and de-list them from their search engine!

Stay away from this unprofessional website.

gm: It's too bad you had a bad experience with getaroom.com. I've booked with them several times now and have had no issues. They've actually proven to be a lot more responsive than other companies I've made reservations with in the past.
