I started a monthly membership with Identity Guard in Oct 2010. I called to cancel membership in Dec 10 2010. The company had already issued a charge to my credit card for December 2010. The representative advised a pro rated adjustment would be posted to my card. The adjustment was posted on Dec 10 2012. Since that time this company has continued to post...

Is this guy serious? I can't really tell. Identity Guard, the place that's trusted by masses of people and has received multiple awards (check their Wikipedia page), was trying to steal your identity so they could get a birth certificate? I don't even know where to begin.

FYI, I've had the service for three years, and my identity has NEVER been stolen. And if it ever was, I can guarantee you it would ever be by them. Just... wow.

The goal of the company is to keep your identity safe. How can they keep it safe if they don't know everything about you? Thieves will use every trick and piece of information they have and Identity Guard needs that information too in order to know when it is being used inappropriately. I've been using Identity Guard for a while and it's given me peace of mind. They've kept my info safe and I would recommend them to anyone. The amount of information is no more than you'd be asked anywhere else.

I have nothing but positive feedback for Identity Guard. Of course they ask for a lot of information, they're trying to protect your identity so information is needed to ensure you are completely protected. I have been a customer of IG for almost 3 years and I love the service they offer and the peace of mind it gives me in knowing that I'm protected. I recommend this service to anyone that's interested in keeping their personal information, credit and identity safe!

Identity guard Managerial and Technical staff at Identity Guard is incompetent

As an Attempted Dissatisfied Customer my over two months of frustration trying to enroll in Identity Guard continues. It appears impossible for me to verify who I am with them, yet I have no problem doing so at the three credit bureaus. The managerial and technical staff at Identity Guard is incompetent. I was finally contacted by Henry Gyamfi [protected] today after over a week. He is unable to get any useful information from his Information Technology folks to resolve my enrolment problem. As an Information Technology professional myself, I find this unbelievable and unacceptable. So, when this failed I tried the customer approach when you have a problem of elevating the issue to higher and higher levels of management. So, I tried to elevate this above the Director - Shele Cowan - to the CEO - Michael Stanfield. They operator at Intersections would not let me talk to him. I rate Intersections as having terrible customer service and as incompetent.

I think Romeo007 may be working for Identity Guard management. The product may be fine but I, in particular, am unable to enroll after 9 weeks of working with their customer service department. So, I cannot and am not commenting on the product (at this time). I have successfully gotten my three credit bureau reports and signed up for two other products. There is a "bug" in their entirely automated verification process that they seem unable to assess and resolve. I have complained to COSTCO, the BBB and written to Consumer reports. So, far they have not been able to resolve this issue.

I completely AGREE with the Incompetency here. I've been unable to simply sign-up on their website due to technical issues. I'm also a professional with over 10 years of Web & Application development experience and find this severely unacceptable. The lack of customer focus and industry best practices from a technology standpoint is really disgusting, especially for a company that provides credit reporting and monitoring services, along with stressing the importance of identity protection and security? Seriously. The errors reported on their signup form were "A remote error occurred" -- and after clearing browser cache/cookies and reattempting -- "An error occurred creating payment record for order 100, 000, 00X, XX" (replaced actual numbers with X's)... What business in their right mind presents errors like this to consumers? These errors should only be seen by developers. MAJOR loss of confidence in Identity Guard over some very simple, yet very critical steps that could be taken to improve their service and support.

I think all these comments are fake and are posted by competitors. I and 15 of my friends are using Identity Guard and are happy and satisfied.

Recently I have contacted identity guard about the charge of $19.95. The person talking on the phone with me claim that the other charge was from a different identity service. But I know I only subscribed to one identity product within this month. I have sufficient proof this guy is a crook and their out to standing to scam you alive. I have contacted my...
