Levin Furniture lied about getting a full refund if didn't use guardian after 5 years

On 11-16-2014, I purchased a sectional from michael czekaj. When asked if I wanted the 5-year protection warranty, I said "no. I feel they are a waste of money." he said "not in this case because if you don't use guardian's services by the end of the 5-year contract, you get a full refund." it has now been 5 years and 2 months and I never used guardian's services and never received a full refund of my $197.99. I emailed guardian protection products to see if they were the ones to initiate the refund, but, I received 3 separate emails (all of which I made copies of) saying that it is the retailers responsibility to issue the refund. On 1-16-2020 I physically went to the store in monroeville, pa, and approached a salesman about my refund. As I was telling him the story, he stood there listening, nodding his head up and down the whole time. He then proceeded to tell me that they don't give refunds, only store credit. I proceeded to tell him that that was not what I was told and promised by the salesman, michael cezkaj. He then said "I don't know what to tell you. We have alot of nice things the you could spend your store credit on." then, he went into naming everything in the store that $197.99 could buy me. I promptly told him that I didn't want to buy anything — I wanted the full refund that I was promised. I also told him that there was absolutely nothing that I needed — that my house is fully furnished. So, then, he said "if there is nothing you need then maybe you could buy something for your family or a friend that they need." is that your policy — to brow beat customers into doing something they don't want to do? Bottomline, I want my refund of $197.99 that I was promised. My sales order # is 1116420zytd, account # is tartd16301, and I have already told you the salesman's name. Just so you know, I have already filed a complaint with the bbb.

Levin Furniture glass table

We ordered table told it would be in november was not ready till december. My husband goes to pick up the table and it I scratched. The store requested to him to take it that because it was on sale when we bought it. It was on sale but not clearanced or in some scratch and dent sale. We asked if we could use damaged table till ours comes in. We had donated our old table 3 days before our pickup date, we were told no. We now are forced to use card table for our christmas dinner. Our next table can not come in now till possibly february. The warehouse is less than 2 hours from the store. We are extremely disappointed with this type of customer service from levins.

Levin Furniture chair

Bought a chair with a 5 yr multi item fabric warranty. Three years later the chair fabric is peeling off of the chair. Levin says the warranty won't cover it. They only cover stains or rips. I paid $59.99 for the warranty and it basically covers nothing and the chair is peeling everywhere. What is the point of the warranty? It doesnt cover the material/fabric as I was told when they sold it to me.

Levin Furniture sectional couch

Ordered my couch on 11/21/18, delivered on 1/12/19. When inspecting the couch had a big snag in the back of the couch. Tyler the delivery man immediately called levin's to tell them of the problem. He spoke with autumn, she said they would order the material and call us to pick up and fix. We were ok with that. It is now 2/5/19 and I have never heard anything. Gave them a call today, and they have no idea what I am talking about. Levin's furniture drops the ball all the time, go somewhere else and avoid the hassle.

Levin Furniture brizas queen mattress

I ordered a Brizas Queen Mattress and Box Spring online from Levin on July 16th and scheduled the pick up for July 31st. My order number is 0716888ZSQQ. On July 30th, I called the store on Curry Hollow Road to make sure that I would be able to pick up the order on the 31st because I had to rent a truck to come pick it up. The employee told me they would have it in and to come anytime after 12:00PM. This is where everything took a turn for the worse. I paid for a truck rental and went to pick the order up, but they did not have the product there. They offered to deliver the order for free, however, they got the delivery address incorrect at first, and once it was finally delivered, the delivery guys said it was the wrong product. I called to see about the order, and the lady on the phone said it was the correct product, however, the mattress was 5 inches thick when the website said it was 14 inches thick. The lady told me that the online dimensions included the box spring. Since the order consisted of two items Levin falsey advertised the product because both items should have been listed separately. Also, the pictures make the box spring and mattress look to be the same thickness, which they were not. I have been waiting for a supervisor to call me back for a week. Every time I try to call to speak to somebody, nobody is there to take the call. I am extremely dissappointed and will not buy from Levin again unless I am refunded the cost of the product, and that is being nice considering the fact that I also paid $100 for a truck rental.

Levin Furniture sofa

For an entire month I had been trying to get an answer on what to do about my sofa that had an obvious defect in the material. It blistered up and then eventually tore apart.
After several phone calls and emails with photos I was finally told that it is not covered under warranty and I would be responsible to pay for any repairs.

The customer service is terrible when you are trying to reach them by phone or email. I was originally told that it would most likely be covered but then after weeks of silence I called again to speak to someone else who told me no it is not covered.

I WILL NEVER MAKE ANOTHER PURCHASE FROM LEVIN FURNITURE!

I bought a Grand Legacy mattress and 5 piece sectional in 2015. I have had nothing but regret for buying these pieces. The mattress had sunk into hole since 2016 I called and they told me nothing they can do to help me . Each year I have called back with no resolution. The sectional has fake leather pieces coming up all over like and looks horrible I called and they told me that it is not covered under warranty. I am so upset that the quality of their furniture is so cheap! I will never buy anything else from Levin furniture ever again. I will also tell all my friends and family to stay clear of Levins.

Levin Furniture delivery of sectional couch

I bought a 5 piece sectional couch from Levin on Saturday. My delivery was yesterday. Out of 5 pieces I ended up with 1. The furniture had big cuts in them! Never received a telephone call from customer service after rejecting the pieces. My daughter called salesperson and was told he could do nothing until customer service contacted us. Was also told by salesperson he had told me about possible defects and to reject it. I never thought it would be 4 out of the 5 pieces, and now wonder if this is a consistent thing with Levin's that salesperson automatically defends what he had stated. I bought the extra protection plan and am now also concerned if I need to use it will I be put through aggravation again! Think twice about buying from Levin

Levin Furniture sealy gel foam mattress

I purchased a Sealy upbeat memory foam mattress 3 weeks ago..The mattress is nothing like the mattress the salesperson had me lay on in the store. When I went to pick it up there was only one salesman working had a sling on his arm, said he couldn't help with the mattress... I am a 78 year old man, when I ask who was available to help he pointed to a mattress that was sitting on a dolly and said take that one it will be easy to load... I have called 3 times to discuss that salesman gave me a different mattress than I paid for.. No one will call me back. Very disappointed!

Levin Furniture service

Do not buy anything from this place. I ordered thousands of dollars worth of furniture only to have it messed up during two delivery attempts. Customer service was completely useless. I even went back into the store for assistance and because my sales man was not there, no one wanted to help me and it was first thing in the morning and a sales lady told me they were under staffed and she asked me to come back another day. This place is the worst!

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS PLACE. I ordered thousands of dollars worth of furniture only to have it messed up during two delivery attempts. Customer service was completely useless. Levin Furniture sofa and loveseat

we always with young kids got cheap furniture, so since the kids are older we decide to spend a little more. when we got the items we loved them but with in a few months the cushions fabric ripped thank god we have a insurance i called them they replaced them. Then i got sick and spent more time on the furniture and they started to rip again i called they replaced, now i have to call them again not only is my fabric ripped again the cushions are losing there firmness and the couch and love seat are dipped in the center.. we have two other piece to this set no problem but no one sits in them that much. i will never buy from them again !

Levin Furniture icon sofa purchased faulty furniture

I purchased furniture for my son as a wedding gift. It is a little over a year and the stuffing on the arm collapsed and the arm has a deformed shape. I called Levin twice with no satisfaction. My third call the manager gave me a number that was disconnected and the email that I left my complaint has yet to respond and it is over a week. They have definitely lost me and my family as future customers and I will report you to the better business Bureau I would of went to Big lots and bought a couch if I had known that your merchandise is now sold at a lower grade then theirs

Levin Furniture delivery

I really think if the item is damaged when its being delivered your delivery people should have to bring back a non- damaged item the exact same day. I promise you less items would be damaged. Very bad experience with Levin furniture. Also the Pleasant Hills location needs some training on customer service. The office manager was not very nice to me as a customer. She complained about having to work late on a Saturday. The manager George was awesome. You should hire more people like him.

Levin Furniture king size pp generate cf pillowtop mattress

Purchased a pp generate cf pillowtop king size mattress and I noticed in a few days that I was sleeping in a valley. And when I get up it stays there and doesnt come back. Its so bad that my head, back and legs are misaligned when I am laying on it. Their return policy is 20% and you can choose another within 120 days. After going back to the store we noticed the "higher quality" one has body impressions in it at the store. This leads me to believe that they are knowingly selling a inferior product. I now have a mattress I cannot sleep on and cannot return. It has a 1 inch depression in it at 2 months and its considered defective at one and a half inches. I will never buy another product from Levin unless they resolve this by giving me a full refund.

Levin Furniture sectional

In November of 2015, we purchased a very nice and comfortable sectional with ottoman. Within one week, the ottoman broke and there was a tear on the seam to the "piano" end section of the couch. I called the service number and they came to fix it. A few months later, I noticed major depletion in the cushions and yet another tear at the seam occurred. Service came to fix that and stuffed the couch cushions back to their regular shape. A few months after that, I called to complain about the repair job to the ottoman. When that was originally fixed, the guy put a "brace" across the middle and put a bunch of stuffing around it...once the stuffing depleted I then realized that they didn't really fix anything. Service I came again and had to order parts even after I asked for a new ottoman. Nearly 3 months later, I am still waiting for my parts and my ottoman is ready for the trash at this point. NEVER AGAIN

And once again, I've left another voicemail and NOTHING! I have a completely broken ottoman that is 1 year and 3 months old and it has even been serviced 3 times. I have since had to have my mother call because I can only call when I'm at work and I do not have the privacy to really tell these people how I truly feel. The furniture was serviced almost 4 months ago. I was told that the parts needed to be ordered. I then rec'd a postcard in the mail saying that the parts would take 4 to 6 weeks and that was back in January. No one called me. No one sent a little post card. And now I am since being ignored over something that is clearly their responsibility. Now they claim they contacted me 5 times and yet I don't have a message. At this point, I'm choking this up as a loss and I will never deal with them again.

Levin Furniture damaged / defective loveseat

I recently ordered 2 Love seats from Levin Furniture that were manufactured by Jonathon Louis. When we received them from Levin we did not open the packing. The love seats went to our vacation home. Upon unpacking we noticed huge difference between the 2 love seats. They looked like they were assembled by 2 different workers who did not have the same quality control guideline checklist! After contacting both Levin Furniture and Jonathon Louis I am even more frustrated. I would not recommend either of these companies. And the lesson we have learned was don't believe that it will look ok under the saran wrapping. We would have never accepted it and not had all of these hassles. The fabric was clearly torn and not stitched properly.

Levin Furniture box spring

I purchased 2 mattress sets and they were going to be delivered on a Saturday afternoon as I was moving into another house that day. Delivery came right in the middle with bed frames not even set up. Did not appreciate that at all. Delivery guys did not say I needed to try out beds before they left. Went to bed that evening and box spring so high I can't get in it. Called Solon Ohio store first thing Monday morning to exchange for a low profile one. Sales rep, Ryan was as rude as rude could be when I told him their customer service policy stinks. The only option they would give me was to purchase a low profile box spring for $180, but they would be kind enough to take $10 or $20 off as a discount but I would also have to pay delivery charge. Run from this furniture store. They do NOT care about the customer at all - the almighty dollar is all that matters to them. Go to Bastista Furniture in Parma Ohio because they treat you right. Levin lied to me, Dustin the regional sales manager could care less and even Paula the customer service manager at their corporate location weren't any better. I learned the hard way how unprofessional, greedy and how they are NOT about anything to help out the customer - so if I can save just one customer a headache -do yourself a favor and go anywhere else. RUN -they are slime

Levin Furniture sealy pp generate mattress

I purchased a Sealy PP, Generate Plush, Queen Mattress and Box from the Levin Furniture Mt. Lebanon Store one week ago. Upon delivery conclusion, a strong, strong odor filled the room when the mattress plastic was removed. We aired out the mattress for 10 hours as instructed.

This morning, we discovered the source of unknown 50 plus bed bug bites on my 14-year-old son from his new Sealy Generate mattress. The photos are attached that show 7 day old bites and last evening’s bites. He has been scratching for one week and continues to feel incredibly uncomfortable all throughout the day and night. We had attempted to control the continual bites with Witch Hazel, Benadryl, Cortaid and Calamine lotion. As he is a stomach sleeper, bites evidenced on his chest, upper thigh, genital area and right arm extended over his head underneath the pillow concur with the placement. Last night, new bites occurred on his chest area. At 4:00 A.M., he was bleeding from the nipple in the bathroom, he discovered a bug on his nipple, and killed it. At 5:00 A.M., we moved his new mattress and box spring to the first floor covered, enclosed back porch. Web MD had the exact image of the bites from bed bugs and the view of the bug.

We reside in a 100% pest free, no issue home for 16 years except beginning last week following the delivery from Levin. Levin claims absolutely no responsibility and their final word is that it could not have come from them.

Levin Furniture lift chair/recliner

My grandma bought a lift chair from levin's, she hasn't had the chair for a month and has had nothing but problems she told them to come and get it and she'd take a refund not only would they not do that they were very nasty to her, I guess that's how they thank their customers, they won't have to worry about my grandmother or the rest of my family ever buying anything from levin, I'd rather spend twice the money and be treated with respect than to be disrepected because they sell junk.

Levin Furniture furniture falling apart

My wife and I have made two separate purchases at Levin over the last year and a half. The selection was nice and the price seemed reasonable. Their sales service was friendly and didn't perch over us as we looked around, but was very helpful when it came time to selecting everything. Delivery time wasn't horrible - I believe it took a couple of weeks to get our furniture delivered. I had pretty much decided not to look anywhere else for furniture from that point on, until...

A year and a half after we bought our living room set, the frame on the sectional we bought started to come apart. In one section the springs had broken and the seat back had come lose.

I was surprised since the last sofa we had lasted over 10 years with no issues except for normal wear and tear, but I understand that things happen. We had bought the warranty they suggested with our purchase, so I figured it would just be a matter of scheduling the service call to have it repaired. The warranty was for 5 years so, if we had more problems, at least we would have some time to get it addressed.

We called the main customer service number and they referred us to the place that services their warranty claims - I was not surprised at this. It seemed to make sense that they would farm this out. We called that number but was told that they only cover things like stains and tears, not frame problems. We ended up calling customer service back and they agreed that the warranty place did not cover frame issues. They then told us that we would need to call another company that they recommend and that they would give us an estimate to fix the issue. I mentioned that we had bought the warranty they offered, but they said that it only covers the fabric. The parts are covered from the manufacturer, but labor is not covered after the first year. I asked her if there was anything else that we could have bought to cover the frame after the first year and she said, "no".

As I was upset I asked for the manager to call me back. Laura called me back the next day. I pleaded my case and she said that they would cover the cost of the estimate to fix my sofa, but we would have to cover the repair. I let her know that was not going to make me happy, but we could start there. About a week later the repair person came out and said the spring clips had broken and some other boards had come apart and that Levin would call me back with an estimate. Laura called us back a few days later and said that the cost would be $100 and to let her know what we would like to do. I called back and left her a message that I was feeling like I was mislead with the warranty. She called and let us know, as a one time courtesy they would split the cost with us. I again, left her a message back to call me and that I would take their offer only because we needed it fixed and I didn't feel like I had another options. Its been over a week and we never heard back.

I gave up and decided to have a look for myself. As it turns out, the problem was the cheap construction. I was surprised how little there was to the frame when I looked, and most of it was cheap chipboard that had been stapled together. The root of the issue was, all of the staples had pulled out on the one side of the frame. Its no wonder they won't sell a warranty that covers it.

I am very disappointed as I felt I had found a really great place, but the dining room table that we bought a year ago is also having structural issues now too. What good is a furniture place that treats you well and has a good selection if it all falls apart and the company won't stand behind the products they sell?

Levin Furniture poor customer after sale service

do not order any special order furniture from them! We ordered a recliner in a fabric different from what was stocked by them.. When it was delivered it appeared to be exactly as ordered. However after a few hours of sitting in the chair back pain starts. Everyone that has tried the chair for more than 15 min notices this. After 1 yr, the problem still exists. This was their top of the line chair. They were notified about this problem within a few days of delivery and sent someone to our house to inspect. They found the chair to be made according to specs and refused to do anything. I contacted Robert Levin and he could care less that he has lost my business forever as well as many people i influence. Once you take delivery, they do not stand behind their products
