Michaels Stores long lines a disrespectful managers

Michaels at 410 gateway drive has a line al the way to scrapbook three cashiers no body on the floor cashiers 1 & 3 calling for back up no one comes help these cashiers the female manager was very rude to cashier number 3. They are working them as slaves and the managers need to be removed from that store. Bad customer service from both managers and disrespectful to their associates.

Michaels Stores customer service/ store manager

Two weeks ago I ordered yarn while it was on sale, and had the shipment delivered to my local store. I was notified on November 20th that my items were delivered. Around 6:35pm on November 20th, I went to my local store to pick up my items. I was given one bag of yarn, and took it out to my car. Before I left the parking lot, I opened my bag and realized that not all of my items were in the bag. Also, the receipt in the bag of yarn highlighted the missing items and said "cut" next to those items. I then went back into the store to ask the associate if those items were delivered. She stated that she had no further deliveries for me, and that I should call the store tomorrow to see if maybe it was delivered then. I then left. In the meantime, I called customer support to see if maybe they could shed some light on the situation but that had no idea what happened. They couldn't tell me where my yarn was, even though it said "delivered" on their end. They said to call my local store tomorrow as the store associate suggested, and see if it was delivered the next day. So today, November 21st, I called the store around 11:30am to see if the items were delivered, and still no yarn. AND WHILE I WAS ON THE PHONE WITH THE STORE ASSOCIATE, I HEARD A MAN, who I assume is the manager, IN THE BACKGROUND STATING THAT I SHOULD HAVE NEVER LEFT THE STORE WITH OUT ALL OF MY ITEMS THAT I ORDERED! Making it sound like it was MY fault! So I called customer support AGAIN and they still have no idea with my yarn is. I was told that the item was out of stock...but funny, the item wasn't out of stock when I ordered it. And I was never notified by email that the item was on back order or no longer available, AND I was never refunded the money that I spent on those items! I can't believe that your customer support can't give me answers. And I can't belive that a store manager has the AUDACITY to blame his customers for the company's mistake! I currently have a replacement request in..hoping that i get my yarn, and I was told that if in 3 days I don't have a shipment confirmation, to call customer support for a 3rd time, and they will finally refund my money. This is ridiculous. And once this situation is rectified, I will no longer be shopping with Michaels. You obviously don't can't train your employees to deal with problems, AND perhaps you should choose your store managers better.

Michaels Stores customer service

As a frequent shopper at Michael's I left feeling unimportant as I was totally looked over by Michael's store manger in Albany Georgia. The manager's name is Michael. When I walked in and saw him on duty I instantly wanted to just walk out. He never speaks and is not friendly. I was in line and there were several customers behind me. Instead of him asking if he could help me after I had been standing in line for at least 5-7 minutes he asked the customer behind me if he could help her. I also made a blank trip to pick up an order that was not there. I will start shopping more online to keep from going through such as awful experience. Michael is the worst manager at Michael's. Give him some customer service training.

It sounds like you have a more personal relationship with this manager than just as a customer. Either way, your complaint doesn't really reflect how bad of a manager you consider him to be. You could call Michael's corporate customer service with feedback if you have had more negative experiences than you described here.

Michaels Stores customer service

Let me start by saying I have several health issues that make it difficult for me to get out and going to crafts stores brings great pleasure, although I don't get to do it very often. I am also on a fixed income so when I shop I need to use gift cards and coupons and sales. At my last visit to Michael's upon returning home I found an error on receipt so I immediately called the store explained what happened, she said I would get a full refund the next visit. Last night I returned with 50% off one reg priced item and a coupon for scrapbooking items. Plus knowing I had reimbursement for previous visit.
A sales person asked in walking by if I was finding everything I said no but she never broke stride to hear my response let alone help! Then I was approached by another employee to let me know the store was closing! At checkout I tried to explain about previous problem. I was so frustrated after trying to explain and getting no where I said forget it. After leaving it hit me the price didn't seem right for my 4 items for this visit maybe she didn't use my coupons. In the parking lot I saw I was charged full price for an item that was clearly marked down plus she only used one of my coupons. I tried to call the store but of course they were closed. So tired of problems with Michael's my special day could be spent at another craft store.

Michaels Stores use of coupon

As an avid painter, crafter, Teacher’s Aide and very “crafty” involved grandmother of 7, I have been shopping at Michael’s for so many years I’ve lost count. Typically, I have tremendous success finding what I want, and while living in Ocoee, FL. I had the pleasure of meeting the most incredible art instructor that I was heartbroken when I had to leave.
For the next few months I am currently house sitting in VA. and the closest Michael’s is a 40-minute drive. Today’s advertisement offered 20% Off Entire Purchase Including Sale Items. I really didn’t need anything, but knowing I was about to start 3 more quilted ornaments, I thought I would look at the trims, ribbons and other accessories.
Upon checking out I was told the 20% Sale did not begin until 4pm. I was very annoyed and admit, I should thoroughly read the coupon from top to bottom prior to making the drive. However, judging by the Cashier’s comment that I could leave my items behind the register like the “other’s” and come back after 4pm, it is clear that I was not the only customer to have presumed the coupon was good throughout the entire day.
Instead of getting frustrated, I asked the cashier to at least ring my two $5 items up separately so I could benefit from the 40% Coupon. Sadly, he would not agree to do so. If it were not for the fact the line was rather long; I would have gladly made a scene.
This may not mean much to you, but when you consider that just this month alone, I have shopped at Michael’s on 5 separate occasions. My paintings and crafts are sold at many places and I am honored to say that I regularly make many items to donate for various Fundraisers.
When discussing one of my crafts or to teaching a class, I proudly let others know I purchase my supplies from Michael’s. Yet today, when I have invested time, gas and I am willing to spend my money on your products; I find it insulting that I am told I can come back in an hour, wait in line again and then receive the additional discount?
It is situations such as this that make me eager to return to a city or state where I am given alternate choices of stores, such as Hobby Lobby, Jo Ann Fabrics, even a large Wal-Mart! Then I would not have to deal with this silliness.

Michaels Stores customer experience

Just a Had a very unpleasant and semi embarrassing situation with a rude store manager by the name of Collette. I came in to exchange some clay mold because I had gotten the wrong kind. The cashier proceeded to say I need to speak w a manager to return this item. Which I also had my receipt and have been coming back and forth to Michaels like five times for the past cpl of days. Collette the store manager proceeded to school me on how the clay product wrong and made it a point to tell me I've done it wrong very loudly and in front of customers. I honestly never been embarrassed at a store in front of customers before when I buy tons of items and had my receipt. I proceed to making a complaint with BBB and CFPB. I work Customer Service and know the blueprint and guidelines on how the customer is suppose to be treated. As a store manager it's ok to display a position on power but when you have a snooty uppity and not personable attitude that's where your store can completely crumble from one attitude. Honestly she didn't know if I was a blogger, didn't know if I was a secret shopper, didn't know if I worked at the news. But what I do know is a way to get my voice and my disappointing customer experience heard. I look forward in hearing from someone with this company soon.

I was at Michaels yesterday California Md. i asked two workers about a products i was looking for NOT one of them would go and look or even help me to find it. if we have that its in the far corner, and walked away The next one i ask, said I really don't know if we have that or not, and she went on about her business to. I got to the register and was asked if i found what i wanted i said NO and neither one of the floor workers would even take time to help. So the lady said you can go online and order it. Really i'm in the freaking store, Why would I drive all way to a store to be told to order it on line SO I came home and I ordered it alright From Walmart

Michaels Stores complaint for my visit on 8/10

I shop at your store a lot my experience has always been good since my visit today I wanted to use a competitor coupon and was told I can't which was 55% she told I can not and only could do what they have going on right now which is 40% and wanted to do another transaction using a Joann fabric coupon for 50% I again was told I cannot use it she was very rude and when I told her I've used coupons like this before and why can I not use it now she told me they are really cracking down on people using coupons also she said she's in management and she stated she knows the right way ...I was so upset I shop there probably 2-3 times a week or more and spend a lot I am considering going else where for my craft items I have never been treated so bad and will not be going back...!

Michaels Stores service and incorrect information

Michaels is my favorite store. I go there often. Today I purchased a Canson multi-media drawing pad. The price is normally $8.99. Today it was marked 50% off original ticketed price - Canson artist paper pads, 60 styles- excludes hardcover sketchbooks. The cashier rang up the purchase as $8.99. When I questioned the price and told her about the 50% off sign, she asked for a price check. The associate said the sign said buy one, get one free. Thinking maybe I misread the sign, I paid the full price. Later in the day I decided to check for myself and returned to the store. Sure enough, I had been correct so I snapped a quick pic with my phone and told the cashier. She said she would return my money and charge me the sales price but she said the sign had probably been placed incorrectly. REALLY? There were three 50% off signs, all located with the Canson drawing pads. The Strathmore pads were actually buy one, get one. It just annoys me that the associate didn't take the time to make sure she checked accurately.

Michaels Stores customer service/knowledge of current promotions

I went into Michael's to get my teacher tote, as I received three emails reminding me to. Unfortunately, the manager, Linda, didn't seem to care to help me. Since she hadn't heard about the teacher tote "since 1:00 this afternoon" (she kept repeating that), it meant that it didn't exist. I told her I had several emails reminding me about it, but since she knew nothing about the promotion, even after I showed her my email, apparently I was wrong. I saw the totes behind the registers, and pointed them out (the email also had a picture of the tote). But she didn't give me anything.

Michaels Stores manager at the richmond ave location in staten island, ny (sidiik)

This is a verbal complaint in regards to the manger(sidiik)maybe spelling it incorrectly of your store on richmond ave. in staten island ny. I go to michael's all the time for crafts and this time on sunday July 16th, 2017 was an extremely disappointing visit. I came with a lot of items for help in picking out a basket to hold all these items and guidance on how to put all these items together and make it an attractive basket. renee, your wonderful employee at the flower/basket section was totally willing to help and was giving great ideas on how to make the basket exceptional.I asked her if she could help me put right there to put the basket together at the store but she needed permission from the manager. I went to ask the manager(sidiik) and he comes back to the desk where renee was and says, "how long will it take you to help and if it is more then 10 minutes, the customer must be charged" she was shocked and I was appalled by his tone and that michaels would treat a customer that way. I thought your goal was to guide and help because that is your expertise. I would have walked out of the store right then and there but due to time constraints, I had to stay. renee could only tell me what to do because of the strict and ridiculous time limit the manager instructed. I left the store with items renee recommended and her ideas. I will honestly tell you that I will now think twice before going into a michaels's craft store and try to go elsewhere for any or all craft items or picture frames. I generally never make a formal complaint to any corporation but I do feel this was an inappropriate response to a customer in need of cooperation

Michaels Stores unknown

I recently went to Michaels in Riverview to get some art supplies. I love the supplies, but the experience not so much. During my shop at Michaels I experienced a pain in my toe. I ignored it for a few minutes but after a while it was still hurting so I decided to take a look at it. My toe was bleeding and part of the skin on it was ripped off. Something on the floor of Michaels cut my toe. I am not sure what, but I'm sure not happy. Please put in the effort to clean and make sure there isn't anything sharp on the floor.

Michaels Stores service

I'm a local artist. I took 5 frames ( 5" x 7")
to be wired per my gallerys specifications.
I bought the frames two days earlier at Michaels and verified with the framing associate that the wiring was possible.
The frames were not wired at all but a sawtooth was used which is not allowed at
My gallery. I called later to speak with a manager and was told the assistant manager would call me later that day. That was 5/31/17 and I've never received a call.
You have just lost a 30 year patron.

Michaels Stores I am complaining about the michaels in escondido california

I went in to the store and got excellence customer service from the cashiers, the only one I was super surprised from was the manager of the store, his name is john ! He is so rude, if you ask any of their customers they will tell you he is so mean, and you can ask their employees also and I'm sure they will agree with me, he yelled at his employee infront of everyone including me, she was being so polite and helping me and asked her what was taking so long with me? He also, was staring at all his employees, and the lines where still long and all he did was stand in the back not even help ring! I feel so disgusted for the employees there. And I believe he needs to be fired. I will go ahead and make sure I get a video of him next time! Because he does this all the time making me feel so uncomfortable.

Michaels Stores an even exchange on t-shirt

Hi my name is Rebecca and I purchased 4 blue shirts for a Cub Scout project we are doing with our boys I needed a liter blue and went into your Brewster N.Y. Store and asked to do an even exchange. I was already a little upset before I got to the register because the cashier tried to get his 2 friends in before me but when he saw my face he sent them away. So he called another person to help him all I wanted to do was get four shirts the exact same things just a liter blue color and they would not allow me to do that I know I didn't have my receipt but any other store will allow you to do an even exchange they proceeded to give me a gift card with the amount of $8.51 on it telling me that they don't give back full credit without a receipt I didn't want a recipt I just wanted to exchange the shirts. I had to purchase the four shirts anyway but I ended up loosing $10.98 the first $5. From the original purchase and then the additional $5. I had to pay to get the shirts I needed.. I understand rules I have worked in retail for 12 years now but the way I was treated in this store was ridiculous I have never been to a store they will not allow you to do an even exchange. I buy a lot of merchandise from your store as I previously stated we have been and active memeber in scouting for 4 years and it's the only local store I will never step foot in a Michaels craft store again I will drive 45 min to go to a.c Moore to get my craft stuff. I will also tell the Cub Scout pack that we will no longer be buying product from you again I will spread the word to all my family and friends. I understand policies and I could clearly see that if I was trying to get money back to deduct it from my total but to get the merchandise in just a different color is just not rite. Thank you for your time

Michaels Stores following my daughter and I around

My sister, her husband, and her daughter and myself went in to get her daughter a gift . Nobody greeted us what so ever, the second we walked in 4 associates started following us right behind our ### and I could hear them talking about us over her walker . I am beyond pissed off ! This is ####ing riduculous . We have no where to hide #### ! My niece was picking out what she wanted, the second we went to ring up, all of them stood by the door watching us . Way to be too obvious ! I will never shop at this store again and I will be back to speak to the manager . I've never felt so damn disrespected or discriminate in my entire damn life ! This place is horrible !

Michaels Stores employees

I started at Michaels in October 2015, I was hired fot the framing department assigned to trsin me wad Christina Harmonosky. She refused to train me on any techniques of the framing department. The only conversation was on her tenet and how they owed her money. She showed me pictures of an African American women . the general attitude was of a negstive nature she all but called mr a racial slur when I reported her to management. I wad removed from framing and put on register. I had very good percentages nd received a pay raise. early. But because of thr continuous harassment of Mrs. Harmonosky and fellow cashier Devon Kiselewsky My hours where cut to fout hours a week driving out of my job. The manager Ron Hess as well as the three assistant manager's where aware and participated in my leaving. The atmosphere of racial intolerance mad my work experience exttemly stressful causing me to suffer physically.

Considering all the grammar mistakes, the mechanical errors, all the misspelled words, and the fact that this was written on New Year's Eve almost a year after this employee was let go...I can only imagine these are the drunk late night ramblings of a disgruntled ex employee so it's hard for me to give it credence but since she put people's full names in here I'm compelled to respond. This review is callous, malicious, and down right slanderous. This employee knows why she was fired but instead of acknowledging her short comings or facing reality she's decided to pull the race card. When I first met Tara I had to train her on register. She was downright rude and condescending. I thought maybe I had somehow offended her and didn't know it but when I cried to my friends they informed me..no, Tara had in fact treated them all like that. The reason she was moved from framing is because she was downright miserable to be around she was a know it all that basically refused to be trained and the framers couldn't take it anymore. She was moved to register where she once again was a know it all and wouldn't listen to her trainers so every week she'd mess up checks then claim she wasn't trained! Ha! It doesn't stop there..not only did she treat co workers terribly but she also fought with and condescended to customers. She had a customer complaint EVERY time she worked. There were even customers that would refuse to go to her register because she was so mean! She talked to everyone like they were stupid. She held a grudge against me in particular because she wanted my job but I had been there longer and had been a better employee so obviously I got the position. Also the other employees didn't want to work with her because she was so bitter and mean, another reason she didn't get the position. Her hours were cut after Christmas time because everyones hours are cut after Christmas time when it dies down, it actually had nothing to do with her performance, in fact, she's one of few cashiers who would actually show up to work on time that was the only redeeming quality she had.

I was looking for a 15.2' envelopes. I make cards and had to have an order delivered before end of night. I went to Michaels arts and craft by north riverside mall in Illinois. They didn't have it so while in store I called the Michaels on Mannheim. The boy name Brian answered and I asked do they sell 15 inch card envelopes. He said yes, the square ones. I drove from north riverside to Mannheim store with little time to make my delivery. My car was almost on empty and its freezing in Chicago. I needed to make my order deadline because I needed gas money to get to work in morning. When I got to store manager said they don't sell those size cards. Brian lied and said I didn't say 15' which I specifically asked for that length in beginning of convo. Not only did they not have the size cards I needed but they only had rectangle cards. No square cards so he lied all the way. I'm now pissed because I waste the little gas I had going to 2 locations. I now don't have funds to get to work tomorrow and I let my customer done. Brian messed my day, time and gas up and the manger was too carefree like nothing was wrong.

Ok here's something you may not know, in December temporary seasonal employees will be hired to help out, and unless you get it out of Brian's mouth that he did indeed lie to you cause he has nothing else to do then he is seasonal, SEASONAL EMPLOYEES do not know prices, sizes of items in the store, heck they are struggling to learn the whole store in just a few weeks much less having to know all the products and stock and that is very very mean of you to say he lied to you when in fact you made that up cause you wanted to blame a seasonal worker who didn't know what you were looking for and made an innocent mistake, he was doing good just talking to you on the phone and having to go hunt down the item and he probably misread the info, so before you go putting words in people's mouths, how about being a little more nice because kindness goes a long way! You might want to change your attitude and have some compassion geez!

Michaels Stores store manager named mark in collegeville pa

Between parties and my kids' school projects, I shop at Michael's almost once a week. For years, sales clerks and managers have been quite friendly and always honoring coupons, even allowing my children to use their own 50% or competitor's 55% coupon. If my kids have chosen to spend their own money, they should be treated as a customer and coupons honored. Apparently, Mark, the store manager at the Collegeville PA store, whose name badge indicates 13 years of service, neglected to remember this policy. Mark was rude and very unfriendly in front of me and my child when we mentioned that my son was paying for his own item and would like to use competitor's 55% coupon, and the same for me for my own item. I am going to shop at ACMoore from now on. At least the ACMoore managers and staff have been trained and understand policies and how to treat customers. Anyone really needing to go to Michael's in Collegeville, PA should avoid Mark the store manager. He's a grumpy old man who should no longer be working.

Michaels Stores godiva milk chocolate almond

I bought an candy bar from Michael's and it seems that this candy is one of the most expensive candy you can buy in some stores; they should keep an eye on the expire date on the package. Sure you can return the candy bar. If you are handi-cap and have to load an scooter go clear across town unload the scooter to go up to return this candy bar that cost $4.00 a bar. Now you spend another 3 to 4 dollars to exchange this candy bar in gas alone. Its just not fair
