Mr. Tire oil change

I got my oil changed at Mr. Tire well three days later my car was making a horrible sound and my check engine light came on. As I was driving to get it looked at my oil light kept blinking on and off. In my mind I am thinking I can't need oil because I just got it changed but i pulled in at the convenience store to check it. When i pulled the dip stick out it was bone dry there was not a drop of oil in my car. I had to buy 5 quarts of oil to put in my car. 5 whole quarts. They did not put any oil back in my car. Now my car has a knocking sound that it never had before. I am still battling to get my car fixed. Please do not go to the Forest City, NC location.

Mr. Tire oil change

Took my vehicle to mr tire for a 9 o'clock appt for oil change. Vehicle was not done until noon. When I went to pick vehicle up I had a few questions. The man told me I would have to wait for the manager and he was next door at mcdonalds getting breakfast. A few minutes later the manager comes back is is checking us out all while he is shoveling a breakfast sandwich in his mouth. We had to ask for a sticker in the car to tell us when the next oil change is due, in which she wrote 79, 000 miles and there is 152, 000 on the vehicle. When we got home I had a bad feeling about the service and the whole experience in general so I went u see the hood and crawled u see my vehicle to find out they never changed the oil filter! They emptied the old oil and replace new, but never changed filter and charged me for it! It was still dirty and had my finger [censored]ed t on it from me looking at it the day before.
Do not go to mr tire!

Mr. Tire mr. tire damaged my car after a tire patch and oil change service. the car is not operable

On July 8, 2019 I had an appointment for an oil change and tire patch at 3:00 pm. David Fields the store manager completed the service request which included a full synthetic oil change, tire patch with tire rotation. Richard Dreves was the tech that worked on my car. At 4:44pm my car was parked in front of the store ready. I paid $99.69. I heard a weird noise as soon as I turned on my car in park but thought maybe it's fine. I put it in drive and as soon as I accelerated my car was shaking and making this loud noise. I immediately turned back I to Mr. Tire and let the store manager know that something was wrong with my car. The tech, put my car up and was pulling at the tires and said that they were on ok. He said he did everything on the sheet and that he just patched the back tire. I said wait so you didn't even rotate the tires? He said it wasn't on the paperwork. I said it was on my receipt. He called the lead technician over who discovered that they put too much oil in my car. He said he was going to flush out a little and that should fix it. He ended up flushing the entire thing and refilled the oil to the "appropriate" level. He turned on the car and I still heard a humming noise. He claimed it was just the engine. We took it for a test drive and the vehicle was still shaking and had a loud noise. He did he didn't think it was the engine that it may be the transmission. I said well what are you guys going to do to fix it? He said he had to talk to his boss, which was the store manager, David Fields. Mr. Fields without saying anything to me just pulled out a hardly readable shop vehicle accident report and filled it out. He faxed it and continue his other business. I said what are you going to do? I don't have a car that I can drive. He said he just has to wait for the district manager to call him to tell him what to do. I said how am I supposed to get home and get to work. He said I don't know. I called customer service and spoke with Alex. He said that they would take care of it. He put me on hold and said the district manager will call the store. I said well when because I've been waiting for that call and it hasn't come. I asked to speak with his supervisor and he said none of them were in the office. He said that I would have to figure out a way to get home. I said that's it? No rental? Nothing you can do? He said no, you just have to wait. I've now been waiting over 48 hours and no one has called me back to tell me where my car is or offered any resolution! I've left messages for the supervisor in customer service Kyle Peterson. I have left messages for ms. Mary Nasie the supervisor in risk management and still have not gotten calls back. This is no way to go duct business! I will file suit against the company for damages!

Mr. Tire tpms/ tire leak

On 6/3/19 at 10:37:19am, I took my Nissan Sentra SR to Mr. Tire to get the back right tire looked out for a leak. Mr. Tire called me later that day and said it would cost me $1, 200 - that I needed all these repairs. My car is a 2015 model with only 24k miles, the fluids are fine, I just got the car serviced under warranty the day prior. I told them all I needed was the tire fixed and the guy would not help me. He did a full inspection without my permission and forced to charge me for it. All I needed was a tire patch. Later my dad calls them and gets them to lower the price to $141.23, so we agree to pay it. Approximately 15 days later I come home from vacation (my car literally never left the driveway) and I found out my PSI was at 15. I go back to mr tire to tell them the fix did not work and the guys would not even talk to me. They were mad because of me denying to pay $1, 200 for fixes I did not need. I was crying in the office and they took my keys without my permission and I couldn't even get my insulin out of my purse. They rush to fix it to get me away and say that it was no cost. I drive home relieved I'm done dealing with the people at Me Tire. About a week and a half later, my tire is flat again. This time, I take the car to Nissan and they find a tiny hole from a nail in the tire, causing me to get a new tire - how could Mr Tire misdiagnose the most obvious thing...because they are fraud, they caused the nail after replacing my TPMS sensor. So where did I hit a nail when my car was literally in the driveway for 15 days? I call Mr Tire to give me my money back to repair my car at Nissan and they say I have to call corporate. Please give me my money back and I won't go farther with this complaint. I have already told all of my peers and family and no one intends to use Mr Tire after my experience, (1) for not accommodating my disability and letting my get my insulin before taking my car keys away and slamming the door in my face, (2) for trying to take advantage of me and my family for money, and (3) for intentionally messing up my car.

Mr. Tire Courtesy, Honesty & Quality of Service left w/prior mgmt

For starters, I do not expect resolution. I've been a customer at the above referenced location for approximately 10 years (4 cars). Initial mgmt. was GREAT! Great communication with customers, timely handling/checking-in upon arrival, great notation of issues to be investigated, quick response time after review/findings, detailed explanation of repair options and costs, honored coupons w/o finding reasons to upcharge.

Within the last 4.5 years, this location has undergone a high management turn-over which has quite obviously impacted the workers morale. Seems like there is a struggle to find the right fit. Each of the workers know me by name. They greet me each time I'm in for service. But as of late, this new mgmt. seems to forbid any communication, the techs seem apprehensive to speak.

Also my last 3 appointments were a joke. Why schedule a 7am appointment when you know no one will be there. Not to just work on your car, but to open the shop?! My courtesy window for businesses is 15 minutes. If no one is available, I leave, business lost. This location was chosen because it was close to my job. Car issues could be addresses during the day, and picked up before or by the time I was ready to go home.

Even the courtesy shuttle offers have diminished. In the past, I could count on any of the guys to run me up the street after dropping off my car. Now this new manager simply states... I can't make any promises. Nothing more, nothing more, nothing less.

It's now one hour after my appointment time, and there's no communication regarding the arrival delay of staff. So again, why the 7:00am apt time when you know no one gets in until after 8am?!

Just poor, poor, poor mgmt. of time, staff utilization. It's a real bummer to have to shop around for a new shop home after such great treatment in the past years.

Since my time is not valued as a long time customer, I have no other choice but to seek a new spot. Such a shame that there is no accountability!

Good luck to future customers.

I so wish Henry Ramirez would come back! He was the absolute best!

Mr. Tire possible vehicle tampering.

Perhaps the management can explain why i have been going to Mr. Tire and spending my hard earned money getting everything from Brakes, tires, oil changes and batteries and yet the last two times i was there; I left with a nail in my tire. I'm not sure as to why this being done, though I can only assume it is done out of malice, because it is too much of a coincidence that it happened twice with the second time being very blatant. Alot of money has been spent at all three locations along Route 40, between both myself and other family members. I see this changing very soon if nothing is done about it. You are already gotten a lot of money from me over the years, no need to place nails in my tires so you can try and sell me newer ones.

Mr. Tire wheel alignment

I can hear noise from my rear tires when I am driving, especially when I go above 50mph. Then, after I got my state inspection done from a certified auto technician, he told me it's an alignment issue. Therefore, I went to Mr. Tire for wheel alignment. The technician over there told me that my rear camber bolts need to be replaced and they don't provide that kind of service (which I later find out it's a lie by talking to their manager over the phone the next few days) As you can see from the photo, the rear alignment wasn't even corrected at all and they still charge me a full price. My tires still make loud noises when I am driving right now. That's absolutely insane! I called the manager, he said he will talk to his technician and give me a call right back. Which he never did, I am very disappointed of their service.

Mr. Tire stripped oil plug/pan

Took my 2013 Nissan Rouge to the dealer for it's scheduled maintenance this past Tuesday, June 4. According to the dealer my oil pan/plug had been stripped and would need to be replaced.
I went that afternoon to Mr Tire. I spoke with Chris, and asked for the manager. Chris advised he was the assistance manager and I advised him of the situation. He advised I would need to speak with the Manager, Bruce and he would return on the 5th.

I called and spoke with Bruce, advised him of the situation. Bruce advised to bring the car in and let them take a look and they take care of the problem. I advised I would bring the care by that afternoon.
When I arrived and spoke with Bruce he backtracked and said if the dealership changed the oil. they would be the last to touch it making Mr Tire no longer responsible. I advised Bruce yes, the dealership did change the oil, as they had the plug out already but they advised the plug and pan needs to be replaced.

Step up and own your mistakes! This needs to be addressed and corrected. I will give you a reasonable amount of time to address this issue before I escalate on my end. And I will escalate if this is not corrected.

Mr. Tire customer service

I have a corporate account with mr tire and have been doing business with them for over ten years... I am just fed up with the rudeness of your counter lady at mr tire in ft Washington Maryland. She is the reason we are taking our corporate acct elsewhere. I had had other encounters with this women and today was the last straw. I had a flat tire I also have road hazard... brought car in two bays empty... now I did not expect to have them drop what they were doing to check and plug my tire but for it to take THREE HOURS is just ridiculous. And to have to put up with her attitude as well is just too much. I know your company has had trouble keeping mechanics at this location... maybe corporate should take a look at the people they have running this store and fix the problem... I know it has made us take our business elsewhere

Mr. Tire wiper repair

My daughter brought her car in for repair for her wipers. They charged her 130 to look at it. Charged a total of 300 dollars for a wiper transmission! There is no such thing. Nothing got fixed. She went back in. They said it would cost another one hundred for a wiper motor. She said I paid you 300. She wants her money back. They didn't repair anything.

Mr. Tire tire mount, balance service

My son purchased tires online and took them to our local Mr. Tire. This is where I go for all my cars. The charge to mount and balance the tires, install new valve stems and disposal was $179.70. The wheels are off the car.

This is way more than I paid when my van needed 17" Michelins and my wife's car needed the same...it was like...$40- $75, I don't have the papers with me at work...

I called the shop and they wouldn't budge on price. They said, "$179.70 is the standard price for mount, balance and install new valve stems and disposal when the wheels are off the car, brought in."

I cancelled the purchase. And I will not be going there for my other cars in the future.

Mr Tire will be out of business with this kind of behavior.

Mr. Tire broken oil line

On 04/16/19 I limped into your Solon, Ohio shop #869 in my 2008 Toyota Avalon with a blinking oil light and a loud engine. Your mechanic Ken quickly analyzed the situation as a failed oil line and made me aware of an existing Toyota recall for this problem. I immediately got on the phone with Toyota and was told the problem was VIN specific and my vehicle didn't qualify and in no case would they pay for the repair. I left the vehicle at Mr.Tire with the assurance that it would be fixed. The bill for an oil change and replacement of a piece of hd braided hose came to $524.75. As I read the bill (never got an estimate or explanation from Manager ob Tengler, nor did I say I didn't want the parts) this consisted of oil change $36.99 and Toyota oil hose $59.99, Shop Supply Fee? of $39.00 and Sales Tax $38.88, leaving Labor at $349.89. At your bench rate of $119 this computes to roughly 2.9 man hours of labor. According to Toyotas cost calculator this job requires 1.0 hours of labor. As I got in my car to leave I noticed that I did not have a windshield oil change reminder and had to go back in to request one. For the record the shop area was dirty, disorganized, and in my estimation dangerous. A couple years ago my son-in-law bought tires for his Ford truck there and they installed the wrong graded tires resulting in a dangerous episode on the interstate. Aside from your man Ken, I cannot say anything good about this location.

Mr. Tire wheel alignment - destroyed my new rack

In June 2018 my personal mechanic installed a brand new rack on my car. I then took my vehicle to Mr. Tire for an alignment. When I arrived to pick the car up I found it in this condition (see photo). Neither the manager or the technician were aware. What's worst, the rack boot was torn during the install which my mechanic pointed out... fast forward 6 months later my rack is dead because dirt got into the boot. $400 down the drain, plus the cost for the alignment!

a Theresa from Monroe (parent company) reached out to me due to a poor survey result that I posted. I've tried to call her or get in touch with someone since.. no one has called me back or attempted to reach me.

I took my car to Mr. Tire in Newton, NC, to get an alignment. The girl acted as if I was wasting her time. When they finished, I paid and left. While driving, there was a lot of play in steering wheel and my car was pulling to the right. So, I took it back. They took it to the back to the shop area to correct. When finished, mechanic told me in so many words that my steering wheel box needed to be fixed and he has done all he can do. I said, "My car was not like this when I brought it in." At that point, he shrugged and walked away, all the while the girl was being rude. I paid and left with my steering wheel still having play but not as bad as it was when I brought it in. And my car still pulls to the right a bit when I apply my brakes. I will never take my car there again. And if anyone asks about using them to repair a vehicle, I will definitely share what happened to me.

Mr. Tire oil change

I took my car in for an oil change on October 27th, 2018. I went to the Mr. Tire on Route 73 in Voorhees NJ. I was told that all fluid levels were checked along with the oil change. Within two months, I noticed that my car was taking longer to stop. I, then, took my car to my father's mechanic. He told me that there was no brake fluid left. Further, he said there were no signs of any leaks. There were no holes or openings.
I am a widow with two teenagers. My oldest is a new driver. If the brakes failed when she was driving, She could have been killed. As for myself, it was very nerve racking having a car with bad brakes.
Mr. Tire has an obligation to give their customers what they pay for and to make sure the customer is leaving their shop with a safe car. Mr. Tire failed excessively. I can't sue you because my father's mechanic, who is honest, told me that other things were going wrong with the car. It was not worth the money to fix it. Nevertheless, your company's incompetence and dishonesty is shameful. The person who is in charge needs to correct this or your reputation will be in the toilet.

Mr. Tire coupon for oil change

Today my husband had a coupon for an oil change which stated it was for $14.99. When he got there presented the coupon and got the oil change for the price to be $21.99. The coupon does state in small print that there may be an additional charge for oil filter and other fees in states where permitted. I could have gone to NTB or Meineke and got a basic oil change which cost exactly what is stated on the coupon. I will never get service from Mr. Tire again especially after reading the reviews on this and several other websites.

Mr. Tire tire installation

In spring of 2018, Mr Tire in Gambrills, MD installed 4 tires. In the fall of 2018, the tires were rotated and while removing the tires, the lug nuts were so tight, one snapped and another spun-out. All the nuts required an oversized breaker bar to loosen the nuts. This means Mr Tire over-tightened all the studs and they were stretched beyond their safe limit.

The local manager only agreed to replace the broken parts and won't replace the ones that were over-stretched.

Corporate customer service did not answer their phone after attempts on 2 days to reach them.

Fundamental problems like this should NEVER happen at a tire shop. Think twice about bringing your car there. They will never touch one of my cars again.

Mr. Tire oil change and missing parts

Good Morning,
I was scheduled for an oil change on 10/17/[protected] Baltimore National Pike, Ellicott City, Maryland 21042) for my 2011 BMW X5 since I couldn't get an appt with the dealer. So on or about 11/9/2018 my truck was reading that my oil was low. I took my truck to another mechanic to see what's wrong and he advised that mt truck was missing the oil cap causing it to leak and that I only had 3 quarts of oil left. I called Mr. Tire on 11/10/18 and advised them of the issue and that I was coming there to be reimbursed for the services rendered. First they asked if I was leaving my truck there cause there is a wait and I said no I want to resolve this issue now. So after waiting an hour, I overheard the mechanic stating that the cap wasn't there. So the front desk worker (wouldn't give me his name) was very rude, so I started speaking with Rick and he advised that it was missing and stated that they could call the dealer, get the part, and change my oil. I didn't want them touching anything. So I asked for a refund, the other front desk worker submitted a request via online (not sure what he did since he didn't explain anything to me) and threw the form at me not stating how the process works or anything. So I had to go to the dealer pay for a new cap ($46.12) and then pay for a another oil change ($95). I just want to reimbursed for the missing cap and oil change

Thank you,
Juakita Rideout

I received a promotion card in the mail which listed a 9.99 oil change with the drive card which I have. When I went to have my oil changed the MrTire place on Front Street in Binghamton, NY 13901 on 10/12/2018 and they said that price was only good if I was applying for a drive card the first time. It does not state that anywhere on that card you sent me. I've been to other MrTire locations and they honored it in the past...what gives here...the counter person name was Kevin. I would like my 5.00 refund plus tax. Enclosed is the bill for the overcharge and coupon you sent me. If not I will pursue this furthur.
