NYC Housing Authority [NYCHA] I want to make a complaint about my nycha development.

I haven't had a stove since June of this year I've made tickets and wrote to the commissioner of nycha about it even wrote to the mayor's office. I put the ticket in the claim to have come out but nobody knocks on my door and then they close the tickets. I am really getting tired of waiting for a stove. So I'm not gonna pay no rent until I receive my stove. This is not fair I have two children who need to eat and I don't have money to keep eating out every day. Please contact me as soon as possible before I take this to court.

NYC Housing Authority [NYCHA] maintenance is terrible

[protected]-2018

The toilet at building 890 East 6th street has been clogged for the past two days. If the toliet is flushed, it rises up and the water overflows. Several complaints were filed and yet the Housing NYCHA maintenance worker have not fixed the issue. No one is able to able to use the bathroom and we have been using the bathtub when needing to pee. but we are unable to defecate. This is inhumane and morally wrong. Please dispatch someone. Thank you!

NYC Housing Authority [NYCHA] new apartment that was offered to me not suitable for my son and i

Hello, my name is Shaniqua Tanner. I currently reside at Drew Hamilton Houses in a 1 bedroom apartment with my 7 year old son and we were offered a two bedroom apartment at 250 Madison Street(LaGuardia Houses). On August 11 2017 during the viewing of the apartment I noticed there wasn't a bath tub in the bathroom, just a walk in shower for a resident who uses a wheel chair. I asked the woman who was showing me the aparment if a tub would be put in? She had no idea that a bath tub wasn't already there and said that she would assume that a bathtub would be placed in the bathroom but when she and I went back to her office she was told by her manager that NYCHA no longer replace walk in showers with bathtubs for the new residents, therefore I was given an ultimatum to either accept the apartment without the bath tub or refuse it and wait an entire year to be put back on the list for another apartment. Nor me or my son are in use of a wheel chair. My son is autistic and non verbal, that walk in shower is an endangerment to his life. I was forced to refuse the apartment and now we must wait over a year to even be considered for another apartment. Please help us because if this issue isn't resolved soon I will be forced to take this matter through the court system. Thank You

He left and said call me you won't have water until Monday. I am 80 years old he didn't give me a chance to speak packed up and left. He did not replace the kitchen basin either. The entire weekend without water a nycha plumber came to finish the job of connecting pipes and getting water running. The basin was not replaced still but I do have water. Holes in walls never fixed with exposed wiring. I am scared to cook and wash in my kitchen with exposed wiring. Please help.

NYC Housing Authority [NYCHA] maintenance

I have several tickets to repair the bathroom from damage and leaks, and every time the ticket is closed out without the repair work being done. I have spoke to my housing assistant and she did what was in her range which was make a call. But still, nothing has been resolved. I have had to go to neighbors apartments to shower because the leak was so bad in my bathroom. I have had floods so bad to were I have had to use all sheets and towels in my apartment to soak up the water and still no one never came to the apartment after it was called in. The maintenance with Jefferson Houses has become a joke. The close out tickets without even attempting to go to the resident. This has been a headache for me. I have had to call my boss on several occasions to inform her that I will be late or not in at all. All I"m looking for is some assistance in getting these repairs done and have the apartment look as if it's worth the market rent that they charging.

NYC Housing Authority [NYCHA] mold in my apartment/ tickets closed out without being serviced

I live in Lillian Wald Houses. I have been struggling for about 3 years to have repairs done to my apartment. I have had tickets closed without anyone showing up scheduled appointments cancelled without my knowing its ridiculous. I have black mold growing in and around my bathroom enclosure and have made housing aware of the situation multiple time and now almost 3 years later I have been rescheduled again for another two months. I am afraid for the health of my children and myself I have chipping falling pain above my stove, throughout the bedrooms, and all over the bathroom. I have had to do repairs myself and this is unfair. Please help.

I live in Riis complex on Avenue D and 10th street. The employees in the Management office are beyond rude starting with the receptionist. the man that is in charge of my building is hard to get a hold of him. I took him prove of change income and the birth certificate of my newborn daughter to be put on the new lease a month before he said the lease was going out. When the lease came nothing had change. When I went back he said he had lost my paperwork. Very unprofessional.
