PeoplePerHour A Cautionary Tale: Beware of PeoplePerHour

As I delved into the reviews of PeoplePerHour, a troubling pattern emerged. Customers voiced deep dissatisfaction, citing issues ranging from slow and unresponsive customer service to financial discrepancies. One reviewer lamented the platform's lack of transparency, recounting a distressing experience of being overcharged and left without resolution. Another freelancer shared a harrowing tale of non-payment and bureaucratic hurdles, painting a grim picture of the platform's practices. These accounts serve as cautionary tales, urging potential users to exercise vigilance and consider alternative options. In a landscape marred by scams and subpar experiences, navigating PeoplePerHour demands a discerning eye and a healthy dose of skepticism.

PeoplePerHour Excellent Support from PeoplePerHour!

Finally I have got PPH very helpful! Now I am really satisfied with their support and services. But I think they should warn freelancers/clients at first before taking final action against their account. Because an account is a career of a freelancer.

PeoplePerHour The site I got my first job on!

The site I got my first job on!
I was suspended once I had askd them to send me earnings via other payment method(by holding their share). So I passed to other freelance site. Earnings were higher on that time respectively to other similar sites and tasks easier to make:/

The only lack is there are less quantity of jobs on PPH

PeoplePerHour I chose Per Hour being a freelancer

I'm partially working at the moment, and combine it with my college. Tried a lot of websites for freelancers. This one was recommended by my good friend who is in the same boat. I'm satisfied at the moment and it helps me get orders to earn some pocket money and improve my prof skills as a beginner in design. Recommend this place to you too.

PeoplePerHour Quality talent, all on one site

Very good experience, professional service, able to source worldwide from you desk!

I regularly recommend PPH to friends, having previously received a recommendation myself. My first experience was fantastic, and although I've had a few glitches along the way, the PPH system is always in the background to give refunds and cancellations if I'm not happy with the quality of work, or for non-delivery.

A very good service thank you.

PeoplePerHour Great site for quality jobs!

Well great platform for freelancer; and bring people together the platform is great; the money paid is always secure and safe; but a lot needs to be done on the freelancer on here; some are not as good as they claim; even with good review they still come out with unprofessional job as end result.

If one has the skill then PPH is definitely the place for him. I got my first job within 3 days which was amazing and now i am planning to take PPH even more seriously. It is an awesome platform and thus, i recommend everyone to join peopleperhour.

PeoplePerHour Great site for freelancers

I've been registered as a freelancer on PPH for several months now. It's not easy to get jobs in the beginning because competition is fierce, but if you keep submitting proposals and make sure they are realistic the work will come and then the positive feedback.

I have had no problems getting paid for the work I have done and you can be sure of getting paid as buyers/employers must pay a deposit before they can hire.

There are some shoddy buyers that want quality work for peanuts, but it doesn't take long to spot these and the scammers. The most obvious one is that if they want to communicate outside the platform, the will most likely scam you out of work.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with PPH and the work is become more and more frequent.

PeoplePerHour Possibly the best site for freelancers at the moment

I've used all the major freelancing platforms out there and PPH is my favorite along with Fiverr. It has currently the lowest commission rate (15%) compared to Fiverr's and Upwork's 20%, so more value for both buyers and sellers. Unlike other services, it doesn't hold your earnings for too long and often the earned amount is available for withdrawal on the same day as completed. The platform functions well if you're a freelancer. The only issue I experienced is that sometimes message notifications are extremely late when it gets to your personal email, so you have to be on the lookout for messages. PPH seems to be relatively new with a developing client base, so rarely does a job get posted in my field. However, I get contacted from time to time by genuine clients.

PeoplePerHour Fast service and lots of variety and Great resuts!

Awesome hourly, flawless contract, great communication back and forth. Great value and highly professional results. Two levels better than UpWork/Elance/oDesk. PPH is a trusted/reputable online work platform where employers(buyers) and freelancers(sellers) get to work together to accomplish tasks(jobs) in a legit and secure way.

I have already recommended PPH to many of my friends using Odesk with me and most of them joined and liked it very much. Key reason we all like is support, human listen to us, understand our issue and solve it very fairly.

PPH's quality of Freelancers are of high quality. I have worked with a number of PPHers, who I will continue to work with again and again, because they are good! A person stand or fall on the quality of work produced because we dont know them in any other capacity. Thank you, PPH.

PeoplePerHour Horrible Experience with People Per Hour (PPH): Unprofessional Developer, Useless Support, and Lousy Site

So, we decided to give People Per Hour (PPH) a try for a small project we needed done. We thought it would be a good idea to select a developer based on their ranking, reviews, and skillset. We assigned the project in November of 2020 with a two-month deadline. However, the deadline kept slipping and slipping. By March of 2021, the project was still not complete, and we requested a refund for the remaining funds.

Unfortunately, the developer had gone completely off the rails and was acting in an unprofessional manner. They would email us one minute and say we're great, and then 19 minutes later, they'd be emailing us and saying we're the worst and insulting us. They even threatened us. Needless to say, the relationship was completely gone. When we sought PPH's intervention, they simply said, "Well, you'll need to work with the developer." This was their level of response. We tried twice to get them involved, but they were completely useless. We will never work with PPH again.

Oh, and let's not forget about their lousy site. When our developer requested the entire payment when they hadn't completed the project, PPH's site said that we had something like 14 days to approve or deny. However, within one or two days, we received an email saying we only had about five days left. How does that happen? You don't go from 14 to 5 days in just two days. When we contacted their support, they couldn't figure out where we had seen the other value (even though we had sent them a screenshot). Apparently, their logging stinks.

And one more thing. When we went to cancel the project, it asked for an explanation. Great, we had this whole great explanation, only to find out they restricted the text area to about 200 characters. Good luck explaining why you want to cancel a project in 200 characters. This company is just horrible. We wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

PeoplePerHour PPH Review: Exorbitant Fees and Scams - Not Recommended for Freelancers

PPH is a website that claims to connect freelancers with clients who need their services. However, my experience with this site has been less than satisfactory. Firstly, the fees they charge are exorbitant. I was shocked to find that a ?100 fixed fee would only earn me ?70. This is a ridiculous amount to take from someone who is trying to earn a living.

Secondly, I have come across several scams on this site. I have wasted a lot of time filling in proposals and bids, only to be led into ridiculous email interviews that resulted in false job offers. In one instance, I was offered a job that required me to buy a MacBook Pro, which the supposed company would reimburse me for. However, I soon realized that this was a scam when I was put in touch with "their preferred supplier" and was asked to make an order for the MacBook Pro and monitors. I knew something was wrong when the job offer letter arrived, stating where I was to purchase and how they would reimburse me. I contacted the company they were claiming to represent and found out that the names I had been given by this PPH client never existed within their organization. I had to forward all the emails I had received to their legal team to investigate.

I reported this to PPH, and the job offer was taken down. However, within 24 hours, two identical jobs were posted with different names. This leads me to believe that PPH does not screen their sellers at all, leaving their freelancers open to scams and being taken advantage of.

In conclusion, I would not recommend PPH to anyone. Their fees are too high, and they do not even screen their clients for potential scams. If you are looking for clients, I would suggest finding more reputable sites than this one. I would give them zero stars if I could, but unfortunately, one star is the lowest rating available.

PeoplePerHour Mixed Experience with PeoplePerHour: Affordable Freelancers, Fierce Competition, Abysmal Customer Service, and a Complex Algorithm

PeoplePerHour is a great platform for buyers who are looking for affordable freelancers. However, if you are a freelancer, you must price yourself incredibly cheaply to get started. It can be tough to get chosen if you have no good reviews, so it's best to bite your tongue and take jobs at below the legal minimum per hour wages. Unfortunately, there are lots of Southeast Asians willing to work for very little, so the competition is fierce.

The number of jobs in my field was incredibly low, which made it difficult to find work. Additionally, their customer service is abysmal and took days to respond. Often, the responses were in desperately bad unintelligible, incoherent English that did not answer the question and came well after the job had been placed. This was a complete waste of time and frustrating.

The greatest, most irritating bugbear is that they let you rise reasonably easily to level 3 and 4, but it is quite hard to get to Level 5. It is practically impossible to get into the Top Rank. I have spent over 4 years on the site and complained bitterly about this, but they just fob me off, saying it's their "complex algorithm." They repeatedly refuse to explain how it works, so that you can legitimately use it to get into the Top level.

They claim it is due to the number of jobs done recently, quality of reviews, and income achieved. Almost every job I do gets a 5 Star rating. I have had well over 200 of them, and some are stellar reviews (e.g. "Best on the site"). I have had more jobs than others on the Top 100 leaderboard and am often in the Top 100 leaderboard. However, when I am very close to the Top rank and get a job that has a high enough income to put me in the Top bracket, bizarrely, the "algorithm" sometimes moves me further away (not closer or into the Top!).

I regularly complain bitterly, but they just fob me off. Basically, I suspect they are lying. It's got a bit better recently, and I have simply given up complaining. So, I gave it 2*, rather than the 1it deserves.

As of 2-7-21, they have changed their payment system. Instead of immediate payment, you have to wait up to 2 weeks, and they don't tell you when they have done their "fraud check." This has made it difficult for me to plan my finances. I have stopped checking the site daily for jobs and now just wait until someone chooses me. Overall, PeoplePerHour has its pros and cons, but it's worth considering if you're looking for affordable freelancers.

PeoplePerHour Unprofessional and Frustrating: My Experience with PeoplePerHour

I've been using PeoplePerHour for a few years now, both as a freelancer and a customer. It used to be a great platform, but lately, it's been going downhill. There are so many cheap and fake freelancers with fake reviews and paid hourlies to be featured, but they don't have the skills to do the job. It's frustrating to see this happening.

Recently, I bought an hourlie that was supposed to be delivered in two days, and I paid the freelancer some extra money to fix some issues in my app. The freelancer was featured and had a good rating, but I suspect that it was paid or completely fake. To my surprise, I received the delivery after a month instead of two days, and the app didn't work at all. When I told the freelancer about it, he refused to fix it and ignored me.

I opened a ticket and asked for a refund, but the customer service replied that they couldn't give me a refund because I had already paid the freelancer. They told me to solve the issue with the freelancer. I also opened a second ticket about a PayPal dispute, but the support ignored me there too when I asked about my money.

After a lot of messages and one month of fighting with the developer, he finally agreed to give me a refund. Unfortunately, there was no progress or reply from support, so I decided to open a dispute with PayPal. When I opened the dispute, they replied in hours and said that it was against the terms to open a dispute. I told them that they had been ignoring me for a month, which is why I opened it.

Finally, after almost two months, they refunded the money to my PPH wallet, but I couldn't withdraw it to my PayPal account because I hadn't closed the dispute yet. It was frustrating to deal with such unprofessional people and services like that. Instead of protecting their clients, they fool them with paid and fake hourlies, and when they get fooled, they block their account.

I am very disappointed with how they handle their customers and with their customer support. It's a shame to see such a great platform go down the drain because of their lack of professionalism. I would advise everyone to stay away from such unprofessional people and services.

PeoplePerHour Red Flags on PeoplePerHour: My Experience with a Suspicious Web Designer

Hey there,

I recently checked out PeoplePerHour to find a web designer for my website. I came across a guy named Manish who claimed to have extensive experience in Shopify platform. However, his response to my message was quite alarming. He started off by saying "Hope that you are fine" which seemed a bit odd to me. But the real red flag was when he asked me not to contact any of the websites he claimed to have designed. He offered to show me proof of his work via screen share and reviews, but refused to let me verify his work by contacting any of his previous clients. This made me suspicious and I decided to move on to other candidates.

I must say, I was disappointed with my experience on PeoplePerHour. It's important to be cautious and do your background checks on people before hiring them. I would advise everyone to be careful when dealing with freelancers on this site.

Thanks for reading.

PeoplePerHour PeoplePerHour Review: No Transparency, No Accountability, and No Explanation - Stay Away!

I gotta say, PeoplePerHour is not the best platform out there. I mean, they don't even have any transparency or accountability. I created an account and got an order, which I finished and created an invoice for. But then, I received an email saying that my invoice had been rejected because my account wasn't verified. So, I uploaded my ID proof and address proof. My ID proof was approved, but my address proof was rejected, and the reason was that I needed to send an actual photo of my proof of address.

Now, I thought that maybe they needed it in image format, since my ID proof was in image format and was approved. So, I sent it again in image format, but it was rejected again for the same reason. When I sent an email to support, they said that they needed an actual photograph, not a scanned or electronic file. I don't see the difference between a photograph and a scanned copy, but I gave it another try anyway. It was rejected again for the same reason.

I was stuck. My document was being rejected for the same lame reason again and again, and email support was giving the same useless response. I had an uninvoiced order, and my money was stuck. So, I wrote about this issue in their forum, and suddenly, somehow, I violated their terms of use, and they deactivated my account.

They sent me an email saying that my account had been suspended because it appeared that I violated their policies. They didn't even tell me what policies I violated, and what about my money which they put on hold. There's no way to appeal to reinstate an account. So, basically, they can keep your money, and there's zero accountability, no transparency, and no explanation whatsoever.

I wouldn't recommend using PeoplePerHour unless you're ready to lose your hard-earned money without any explanation. Just Google it, and you'll see that there are so many people complaining about the same thing. I thought maybe they did something wrong, but sometimes you learn things the hard way.

PeoplePerHour Disappointing Experience on PeoplePerHour: Paid for Urgent Listing, No Progress, and Refund Fee Charged

I gotta say, I was pretty disappointed with my experience on PeoplePerHour. I thought it would be a great way to find some quick help with a project I was working on, so I paid an extra $15 to make my job listing urgent. I ended up awarding the job to a guy named Mxxxxr H, even though his rates were higher than average, because he said he could finish the job by midweek.

Well, midweek came and went with no word from him. I tried reaching out a few times to see what was going on, but he didn't respond until Thursday morning. He said he was working on it and should have it done by that evening or the next day at the latest. I didn't hear anything else until Friday night, and by then I was pretty frustrated. I had paid a deposit of $520 and still didn't have any progress to show for it.

I tried reaching out again on Saturday, but Mxxxxr H finally told me he couldn't complete the job due to time constraints. He refunded me some of the money, but I was still out $70 and had nothing to show for it. Plus, I was pretty annoyed that PeoplePerHour charged me a $52 refund fee even though it was the seller who cancelled the job. And to top it off, I wasn't even able to leave feedback on the seller to warn others about my experience.

Overall, I was really unhappy with my experience on PeoplePerHour. I don't think I'll be using them again, and I definitely wouldn't recommend them to anyone else. It's just not worth the time or money.

PeoplePerHour Warning: PeoplePerHour is a Scam - Don't Waste Your Time or Money

I recently had an experience with PeoplePerHour, and it was not a good one. I posted a job on their website on Friday, January 27th, 2023. They offered to circulate my job more easily if I paid ?15, so I did. However, they later contacted me to say that my ad failed their procedure, but they wouldn't tell me why. I asked for a refund and took my job to another agency, but they completed it that same weekend without any issues.

I contacted PeoplePerHour on Monday, January 30th, 2023, to ask for my refund, but I learned that they don't work on weekends. They still didn't give me my refund or explain why my job request failed their procedure. By Wednesday, February 1st, 2023, they started sending me offers, but they still hadn't refunded my money.

On Thursday, February 2nd, 2023, I requested my refund again, and they told me they had paid it into a PPH Wallet, which I didn't have. I explained that I only opened an account to get my job done and didn't have a password anymore. I asked if they could pay my money back into my PayPal account, but they insisted I collect it from my PPH Wallet.

On Friday, February 3rd, 2023, they assured me again that I could get my money from my PPH Wallet, even though I didn't have one and had already asked them to pay me back through PayPal. On Monday, February 6th, 2023, I asked for my money again, but they still insisted I collect it from my PPH Wallet.

It's now Thursday, February 9th, 2023, and I'm still waiting for my refund. PeoplePerHour is a scam, and they fraudulently took my ?15 without intending to earn it. They're trying not to repay my money, and it's clear that they're scamming other customers too.

Unlike Fiverr and Upwork, PeoplePerHour doesn't have to work on weekends because they're scamming people instead. They're a rogue organization, and they need to be shut down. I've written to an organization to ask them to help me get my money back.

I appreciate SiteJabber for giving me a voice. PeoplePerHour may not verify these facts, but I have proof of my correspondence with them. I don't recommend using their services.

PeoplePerHour PeoplePerHour: A Total Joke - Exploiting Desperate Freelancers with Low-Paying Jobs

Yo, I just deactivated my account on PeoplePerHour and let me tell you, this site is a total joke. Like seriously, it should be called "Slaves for any length of time you like!" I mean, I get it, they started out with good intentions - helping businesses find freelancers for one-off jobs that their current staff couldn't handle. But now? It's just a bunch of people looking for cheap labor. And let me tell you, some of these projects are straight up ridiculous. Like, there's this one dude asking for full translations of animated websites in multiple languages for like, 35 quid. Are you kidding me? And then there's this other person who wants a week's worth of high level expertise for 200 pounds. That's like, less than 10k a year. And don't even get me started on the person who wanted someone to write their thesis for them in perfect UK English. Like, that's straight up illegal.

And the worst part? The site is called "People Per Hour" but almost all the jobs are set at fixed prices that are way too low. If they really wanted to do it by the hour, they should make people post their jobs at an hourly rate. And don't even get me started on their "match" service. They sent me an ad for a lawyer when I signed up to write. Like, what the heck?

Look, I know some people are desperate for work and will take on these low-paying jobs, but it's just not right. If they were employed in a workplace, their employer would be prosecuted for not meeting minimum wage levels. So why is it okay for PeoplePerHour to allow this to happen? They should be fixing a minimum hourly rate per job that matches current pay legislation in the countries targeted. It's just criminal to exploit people who are desperate for work.

And don't even bother responding to this review saying that there are satisfied companies out there. Of course there are - they're getting cheap labor. But that doesn't make it right. PeoplePerHour needs to wake up and see what they're doing. Set minimum hourly requirements for jobs and give people a decent chance to earn a decent income. It's not that hard.

Anyway, I just wanted to share my thoughts. I don't need work or money, so it's easy for me to say all this. But for those who are desperate for work, it's not so easy. PeoplePerHour needs to do better.

PeoplePerHour Unprofessional and Frustrating Experience with PeoplePerHour (PPH) Staff: A Review

My experience with PeoplePerHour (PPH) was nothing short of frustrating. As a qualified specialist with over 15 years of experience, I was excited to submit my application to the platform. However, my excitement quickly turned into disappointment when I realized that the staff at PPH were nothing but trolls.

After submitting my application, I received a reply from the staff stating that my application was missing some details. They required me to state my "REAL name" and my location. I was confused as I had already stated my name and surname during registration and attached my English MBA certificate, which also had my name on it. As for my location, the form did not allow me to put or alter it manually, and the system did it automatically. I tried to send a proof of location to the reviewer, but there were no means available to do so. I sent an email to [protected]@ with my commentaries, but I doubt anyone read it.

The next day, I received an email stating that my application was accepted. However, half a minute later, I received another email stating that my application lacked name and location and should be re-submitted. I re-submitted the application, hoping it would reach the reviewer, but to no avail. The next email I received stated that my third application, which was an earlier approved version, was rejected. There was no explanation given, and my commentaries in the body of the application were ignored.

It was a deliberate practical joke by PPH, unprofessional and time-consuming. What they did was ask for details that were already on the form, could not be manually changed by an applicant, and gave no means to send any proofs for location. They accepted the application, then asked for the same details again, then rejected it with no explanation.

When I tried to log in to my page, I saw a notification that my application was rejected three times, and I should contact the staff. I sent a message through the online support form asking them to comment on their joke, but it went unanswered.

It is trolling and gaslighting by PPH staff. It is unprofessional and unethical behavior. If you want to give your time and efforts to people who do not respect themselves by behaving mean and then you, by playing trolling jokes on you, you may connect with People Per Hour staff. However, I would not recommend it.

PeoplePerHour PeoplePerHour is a total scam

I uploaded a job on PeoplePerHour on Friday 27th January 2023. They told me if I paid ?15 they could circulate my job more easily. I paid ?15 from my PayPal account. They then contacted me to say that my ad failed their procedure, or something like that. However, they would not tell me what that failure was. I, asked for my refund and took my job to another agency, without changing ANYTHING on my work request. This new agency had my little job completed that same weekend.

I contacted PeoplePerHour on Monday 30th January 2023 and asked for my ?15 refund. That was when I learned that PeoplePerHour do not work on the weekends. They still did not give me my refund and they still did not tell me why my job request had failed their procedure.

By Wednesday 1st February 2023, PeoplePerHour started bombarding me with offers of all types, yet they still had not refunded my money.

On Thursday 2nd February after I requested my refund again, PeoplePerHour told me they had paid my ?15 in a PPH Wallet, (which I did not have). I explained to them that I am not a long-standing customer and only opened an account to get that little job I posted with them, done; and I don't even have a password for them anymore. So, can they pay my money back into my PayPal account, where I paid them from?

On Friday 3rd February before PeoplePerHour closed for the weekend, they once again assured me that I can get my money from my PPH Wallet (which I already told them I do not have, and had already told them to pay my money back into my PayPal account, from where I had paid them.)

On Monday 6th February, I commenced all over again, asking PeoplePerHour for my money -- PeoplePerHour telling me I must collect it from my PPH Wallet -- and PeoplePerHour still sending me various offers of service I can get from them.

As you can see, then, PeoplePerHour is a scam. They fraudulently took my ?15 not intending NOT to earn it, and beleiving that as it is such a small amount of money, I would not bother try to recover it from them. You can see, of course, just how they are trying not to repay my money.

We don't need a calculator to calculate how much money PeopkePerHour is fraudulently earning in ?15 throughout the week in not carrying out customers' jobs. No wonder that unlike Fiverr, Upwork and the like, PeoplePerHour does not have to work on weekends -- SORRY -- PeoplePerHour does not have to scam on the weekends as well. PeoplePerHour is a rouge organization and MUST BE SHUT DOWN by those responsible for doing so; thus, saving unsuspecting customers from being fraudulently abused by PeoplePerHour.

For the record, it is Thursday 9th February and I have just written to an organization begging them to tell PeoplePerHour to pay me my ?15 back.

Well done SiteJabber for giving us a voice! You can verify my plight with PeoplePerHour, although I doubt they will verify these facts.

PeoplePerHour Slave labour for desperate people

This is what I have just written - as I deactivated my account - in their 'reasons for leaving' box.

Username ***@yahoo.co.uk
First name Anne
Last name Parish
Deactivation Reason Other
The site is a joke. It should be called 'Slaves for any length of time you like!' You may have started out with good intentions - let businesses who need just a one-off job completed that cannot be filled by current staff find another business or freelance who can do that form them. Instead you have allowed the site to be populated in the main by people looking for slaves to do work for pennies. Some of your members will be desperate for work and so will take on some of these ludicrously priced and often unrealistic projects - if they were employed in the workplace you, as their employer, would be prosecuted for not meeting minimum spay levels! There is one advertiser asking for full translations of animated websites in many languages for around ?35 per job! Another which has just been added - #*** - wants a week's ( and despite her thoughts it's probably much more than a week) high level expertise for ?200! That's ?800 per month - less than ?10k per annum! I've just noticed another new post - design a 4 page website for ?45! Not per hour - for the job! I've also read one recently from a foreign student in a UK University who wanted someone to write her thesis in perfect UK English as she had failed before and needed to pass this semester and wouldn't be able to because of her English! She was studying English! This is against the law. The site calls itself 'People Per Hour' - yet almost all jobs are set at ludicrously low 'fixed prices'. If it's supposed to be by the hour then make people post their jobs at an hourly rate. Please note also that your own 'match' service is crap! Just because you trawl ads and find one that says the word 'write' doesn't mean it is for a writer. The most recent one you sent me is for a lawyer! Sort out your own house. I just thought it would be a nice sideline for me as I love to write and now have some time on my hands. However I don't need work and I don't need money - so not pandering to the wants of your unscrupulous ( in the main) advertisers is easy for me to do. It's not easy for those desperate for work. By allowing the site to continue to offer jobs at less than minimum wage is simply criminal and you should be fixing a minimum hourly rate per job that matches current pay legislation in the countries targeted. As I said, you are exploiting people desperate for work by ensuring they have no choice but to take on these jobs. In the workplace this is illegal and I am not sure that what you are allowing your site to become is not the same. If you simply ensured that each criteria had a minimum per hour requirement this would ensure that you didn't continue to drive down the market. And please don't bother to respond to say that there are many satisfied companies out there - of course there will be as they will have found a good source of cheap labour. And of course there are probably a few who are offering good rates to the right people for the right job - but it is clear from a quick look at the site that these are going to be few and far between. In fact my microscope hasn't found one yet. Wake up and see what you are doing. Set minimum hourly requirements for jobs and give people a decent chance to earn a decent income and drive out the unscrupulous. Anne I note that you say you delete reviews when an account is deactivated... so I've kept a copy of this one for my own use.

Anne

PeoplePerHour Unethical and unprofessional behaviour of PPH staff

Edited 03.07.2019: most likely your application prepared in a careful and diligent way and your numerous requests will never reach a human being. Just will be rejected by AI that PPH use. With no explanation. Leaving you with impression that your docs had been reviewed and there had been something wrong with them. And months later if AI will get you with numerous ads saying what wonderful opportunities pph offers for its members and you send a complaint by email, someone may answer you and explain that they never heard of you. It was AI that was sending you "answers". Such someone will be very surprised that you show discontent with such treatment and say it is irrelevant.

Sure we know programmes for cv screening are used. Appeares they are used for blocking and ridiculing applicants as well.

So you have skills, experience and motivation to work? Their AI does not care, it will block you if some parameters are wrong or will send your emails to spam. Nor care its creators.
(Screenshot attached)

The person from PPH, who answered my complaint about ad spamming, has been stalking me with emails since then. He does not understand the word stop. So, it goes that the stuff of the company is dull and passive-aggressive.

Original review:
I was lucky to have a minimum experience witH PPH staff - I submitted the application and after the first reply from the staff I understood I was dealing with the trolls.

I am a qualified specialist with over 15 years experience located in Ukraine. My application form had all required details, attached documents and presentation.

After submitting my application I received an answer that it was OK but lacked some details: I was required to state "my REAL name and my location. I did not understand what "real name" meant since my name and surname were stated during the registration; they were also on the scanned and attached English MBA certificate. As for location (it was wrongly defined) the form does not allow putting or altering it manually - the system does it. I found out that there were no means available to send a proof of location for a reviewer. I received the email from reviewers from [protected]@ and when trying to answer, the address would switch to [protected]@. Anyway I sent an email with my commentaries to [protected]@, though I doubt anyone read it.

Next day I received an email saying the application was accepted. Half a minute later there was another email saying the application lacked name and location and should be re-submitted. I re-submitted the application explaining the situation in the body of the form, hoping it will reach the reviewer.

The next email I got, was saying that my third application (which was an earlier approved version) was rejected. There was no reaction to my commentaries, which were in the body of the application (if they were ever read).

It was a deliberate practical joke by PPH, unprofessional and time consuming.

What they did was asking for details, which i) were already on the form, ii) could not be manually changed by an applicant, iii) gave no means to send any proofs for location. Then they accepted the application, then asked for the same details again, then rejected with no explanation.

Message that I sent through online support form asking them to comment on their joke is unanswered.

When trying to login to my page I saw the notification that my application was rejected three times and I should contact the staff.

It is trolling and gaslighting by PPH staff. It is unprofessional and unethical behaviour.

So, if you want to give your time and efforts to people who do not respect firstly themselves by behaving mean and then you, by playing trolling jokes to you, you may do it by connecting to People Per Hour staff.

PeoplePerHour PPH refuse to pay the money I've earnestly earned via this platform

I've worked on 8 projects as a freelancer via this website and everything was OK until the final 2 jobs.

First one was for a buyer that had 2 reviews, I got a quick payment for the job on 3rd May 2023. PPH took their commission from that job 85$, however to this day (two months later) they still didn't let me withdraw my money! They say that the buyer didn't send them the documents requested etc. The buyers account has been deactivated or deleted mid May. Customer service is useless as they keep responding that they are expecting buyers documents for verification and won't pay me until they get them...

Second buyer I worked for had around 20 reviews! I got paid from him 375$ on 26th May. To this day the money is is still in Escrow. PPH keep refusing my invoices cause the buyer needs to send them documents for verification!

Customer service keep telling me a senior manager is looking into it but the only response I get - they need buyers documents for me to receive the money I've earnestly earned!

I don't understand how this is acceptable on an international platform of this size. They don't verify buyers documents, they let freelancers work for free. This situation is very distressing, I was counting on that money! I refused to work on other projects as I was involved in the work via this platform...

I will never use this platform again!

Desired outcome: I would like to get paid for the last two jobs I did on this platform

PeoplePerHour Beware of PeoplePerHour: A Scam Website with Fake Profiles and Blackmail Tactics

PeoplePerHour is a website that I would not recommend to anyone. They have fake profiles that do not complete jobs and then blackmail you to pay and lose money in fees. The customer service supports and defends them, using the same language and rebuttals as the generic customer service. It is a complete scam!

I had a terrible experience with Kevin Gray from Alphabet Digital. He used a fake Philippine IP address and gave me a quote for a job that was supposed to take 48 hours. However, it was extended to 2 weeks and the job was incomplete. I paid $67 for an incomplete job, and then he asked for an additional $60. I disputed the charges, but he played with the backend of my website and sent threat messages from the same IP address. He is very confident that he will win the dispute because he uses a fake avatar and surely works for this scam organization PeoplePerHour so they can win in fees!

I wasted 3 months of my life and $900 and still don't have a decent website. I deleted my account, thank God, and am trying to get refunded. Kevin Gray claims to own Alphabet Digital in Manchester, UK, and have worked for Google. He speaks exactly like the PeoplePerHour customer service 100% and works for them. This website is a criminal organization scamming victims like me. Please report them if they have scammed you. This platform should be shut down!

PeoplePerHour Disappointing Experience with PeoplePerHour: Automated Vetting, Location Requirement, and Zero Support

So, I tried using PeoplePerHour to find some professionals for my writing needs, but boy was I disappointed. The whole "vetting" process is automated, which means that there's no human touch to it. And don't even get me started on the sample requirement. I tried attaching mine, but the system was so idiotic that it wouldn't let me. It only accepted samples from certain sites, which is just ridiculous.

But the biggest issue I had with PeoplePerHour was their location requirement. Apparently, your location has to match the one you put on your application. What kind of nonsense is that? I'm a writer, I can write from anywhere on the planet. And I happen to be traveling soon, so what happens then? They'll shut me down because my location doesn't match? That's just ridiculous.

And even when I tried to "correct" my location to match my current one, the system kept defaulting back to the original one. So, I ended up being declined anyway. Good riddance, I say.

But the real kicker is that PeoplePerHour has 100 idiotic tech conundrums and zero support. So, if you have a billing problem or any other issue, you're on your own. It's just another blood-sucking site that collects commissions for other people's work and does nothing to make the experience better for the people who make them all the money.

I hope people wise up and abandon PeoplePerHour altogether. It's a badly thought-out site that's just out to make a quick buck.

PeoplePerHour Warning: PeoplePerHour is a Scam - Stay Away for Your Own Peace of Mind

I've been using PeoplePerHour for quite a while now, but lately, I've noticed that they've been scamming people left and right. They never provide any proof if there's an issue, and they just say that they've returned the money to the buyer. But when you ask the buyer if they've received the money, the answer is always a resounding NO. It's like they're stealing your money right in front of your eyes. And I'm not the only one who's noticed this. I've seen many reviews here that have the same problem.

PeoplePerHour is a complete scam. Their staff is inexperienced and expensive. And speaking to their support is like talking to a brick wall. They're useless, annoying, and irritating. And you always leave without a solution. They're not willing to help you at all. And when you're stuck with a buyer, they just send pre-made messages that don't help at all. And when you get angry after 30 minutes of receiving the same messages, they accuse you of being abusive and close the chat. It's a good excuse for them to drop you, but it's their fault in the first place for not helping you.

I can only say that you should stay away from PeoplePerHour if you want a peaceful life. There are many other good platforms out there that actually help you and have staff with decent brain cells. PeoplePerHour is just a scam company, and that's all it is. And I've noticed that there are many fake reviews from people who are obviously paid to write standard reviews that you can buy. So be careful and don't fall for their tricks.

PeoplePerHour My Frustrating Experience with PeoplePerHour: Poor Support, Hidden Fees, and Delayed Funds

I gotta say, I had a pretty rough experience with PeoplePerHour. It took them ages to get back to me about my support ticket, and even then, they didn't really solve my problem. I was trying to get my funds back from my PPH escrow, but they told me my client needed to upload some documents first. And get this - they didn't even ask for those documents when I signed up! They wait until you need to withdraw funds or something, and then they hit you with the request. And if you don't pay extra for them to approve your docs in 24 hours, you can forget about getting your money back anytime soon. They'll take up to 7 working days, no problem.

Honestly, the support is the worst part of this company. They closed some of my tickets without even solving my issue, and it took them more than a month to return my funds (which still isn't resolved, by the way). And don't even get me started on the fees. They're pretty high, especially for buyers.

If there's one thing I wish I had known before using PPH, it's that they only care about their profits. They don't care about clients, and they don't care about sellers. It's all about them. So if you're thinking about using this platform, just be prepared for a lot of delays, fees, and frustration.

PeoplePerHour My Experience with PeoplePerHour: Paying to Apply for Jobs with No Success

So, I decided to give PeoplePerHour a try, which is a website where you can make a profile as a freelancer and be found by potential clients. You have to pay for every job you apply for, and the client chooses who they want without any interview or anything. The jobs are usually short, like two-day projects. I applied to many clients but never got any work. When I asked why, they said I didn't apply to enough jobs. I tried again, but still no luck. After a while, they shut down my account, saying I broke their terms and conditions. When I asked how, they couldn't tell me. I tried making a new account with a different email, but it kept getting deactivated. I contacted them many times, but they just kept telling me to create a new account with a different email. It never worked. After a year of paying to apply for jobs, I asked for a refund, but they refused. It's basically like paying to be a candidate for a job, which doesn't seem fair to me.

PeoplePerHour Mixed feelings about PeoplePerHour: decent platform, but with some major flaws

I gotta say, I'm pretty happy with PeoplePerHour. It's not perfect, but it's got a nice look and it's pretty easy to work with clients and get paid. The only thing that really bugs me is the moderation - it's like they're always breathing down your neck! But the real kicker is the verification process for new clients. They won't release your funds until the client goes through this whole annoying process of uploading their ID and stuff. And most of them don't bother, so you're stuck waiting. I talked to a senior agent about it, but they didn't have any good solutions. So I'm not even bothering to invite my own clients to the site.

Another thing that really grinds my gears is the proposal credits system. After a few weeks, you can't even bid on projects anymore, even if you're sending out proposals every few days. And if you cancel a bid, you don't get your credits back! It's a real pain when a client wants to work with you and you can't even send a proposal. You have to ask them to create a private work stream and invite you, or you have to buy more credits. It's just not very user-friendly, especially for established freelancers like me.

Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with PeoplePerHour. It's got its flaws, but it's a decent platform for finding work and getting paid. They just need to make some improvements to make it easier for freelancers to use.

PeoplePerHour Terrible Experience with PeoplePerHour: Unreliable Freelancer and Poor Customer Service

So, I recently used PeoplePerHour to revamp my website. I wanted a simple revamp, just using my existing Contact Us form and the same fields. The freelancer agreed to do it for GBP 45.00, which I also agreed to. However, when the website was developed, there were a few errors. I asked the freelancer to fix them, which he eventually did. But then the Contact Us form started playing up again, and I had to ask him to fix it again. This time, he invoiced me for GBP 55.00, even though I had not agreed to this price. I still paid it, but as soon as I did, the website started playing up again. The images were scattered on the website, and the Contact Us form was not working.

I complained to the freelancer, and he fixed the images. However, the Contact Us page is still not working, and now a representative from PeoplePerHour is asking me to work with the freelancer. But the freelancer is not doing anything to fix the problem. He is accusing my hosting provider of having servers that are not working, but I proved that the servers are working fine. I used their website tool to create a simple Contact Us page form, including Newspaper Subscription, and all are working 101%.

Now, the freelancer has gone quiet and is not doing anything to fix the problem. I am extremely frustrated with PeoplePerHour and their team. I wish I had read the comments before I placed an order because their rating is appalling. I will never use their services again! Please do not use PeoplePerHour!

PeoplePerHour Buyer Beware: My Experience with PeoplePerHour's Ripoff Fees and Scamming Buyers

I gotta say, I agree with what everyone else has been saying about PeoplePerHour. It's a total ripoff, man. They charge you on every penny you earn multiple times, like what the heck? They take 20% commission on everything you earn and then charge you 20% tax on top of that when you get paid. And when you want to withdraw your money, they charge you 1.9% for that too. Like, come on, give me a break!

And get this, they won't even give you access to your money for 14 working days after you've been paid. Like, what kind of nonsense is that? It's my money, I should be able to access it whenever I want.

And don't even get me started on the credits. You only get a certain number of credits per month to apply for jobs, and if you run out of credits, you have to pay more. So basically, you're paying PPH for the privilege of earning money for them. It's ridiculous.

And if you want your proposals to be pushed to the top, you guessed it, you have to pay for that too. But let me tell you, it makes absolutely no difference whatsoever. It's just another way for them to squeeze more money out of you.

But the worst part is how easy it is for buyers to scam you. They can just ignore you when the job is done and refuse to pay the invoice, and PPH always sides with the buyer in my experience. And all you get from them is "there's nothing we can do." Like, seriously? That's not helpful at all.

And don't even get me started on customer service. It's a joke. So many times I've tried to make changes to my profile, only to have them rejected with no explanation. And then I spend weeks going round in circles with people who can't even understand English, trying to find out why. And all I get are nonsensical replies that have nothing to do with the issue. It's frustrating as heck.

Honestly, I don't even know how PPH is legal. It's just a big ol' scam if you ask me.

PeoplePerHour Stay Away from PeoplePerHour: Poor Customer Service and Lack of Transparency

I recently started my online business on PeoplePerHour website and at first, everything seemed to be going well. I was able to get projects and earn money. However, when I started working on larger projects and asked clients for payment, I ran into some trouble. After the client released the payment, PeoplePerHour suddenly deactivated my account and kept the money that was held in my wallet. I tried to contact their support team, but they did not respond. I highly recommend staying away from this website. In the beginning, they will support you so you can get funds released by the client, but when you get the funds released, they will close your account without any warning or explanation.

I was very disappointed with the way PeoplePerHour handled my situation. They didn't bother to inform me first or let me know what terms I had breached. It was only after I reached out to them that they gave me a vague response about violating their terms and conditions. I felt like they were not transparent with me and did not give me a chance to rectify any mistakes I may have made.

Overall, I would not recommend using PeoplePerHour for your online business needs. Their lack of transparency and poor customer service make it a risky platform to use. It's important to find a platform that values its users and provides clear guidelines and support. I hope my experience can help others avoid the same issues I faced.

PeoplePerHour My Negative Experience with PeoplePerHour.com: Freelancer Failed to Fix Website Errors and Company Initially Refused Refund

I recently had an experience with PeoplePerHour.com where I hired a Freelancer named Fateh M. to fix some errors and warnings on my website. Specifically, I needed help with three pages that had duplicate meta descriptions and 178 pages that had a low text-HTML ratio. When Fateh M. messaged me to say that he had fixed all the errors and warnings, I was relieved and grateful. However, when I ran an audit on my site using SEMrush.com, I discovered that none of the errors had been fixed.

I was extremely disappointed and frustrated with this outcome, especially since I had paid for the work to be done. I requested a refund from PeoplePerHour.com, but they initially refused my request. This made me even more upset, as I felt like I had been taken advantage of by both the Freelancer and the company. I strongly believe that PeoplePerHour.com should be responsible for ensuring that their Freelancers are qualified and capable of doing the work they are hired to do.

After some back and forth with PeoplePerHour.com, I was eventually granted a refund. While I appreciate that they eventually did the right thing, I still feel like my experience with Fateh M. and PeoplePerHour.com was a negative one overall. I would caution anyone who is considering using this platform to be very careful when choosing a Freelancer to work with. While there are some good and honest Freelancers on PeoplePerHour.com, there are also some bad ones like Fateh M. who are not qualified to do the work they are hired for.

In my opinion, PeoplePerHour.com needs to do a better job of vetting their Freelancers and ensuring that they are capable of delivering high-quality work. Additionally, they should be more responsive to customer complaints and concerns, and be willing to issue refunds when necessary. Overall, I would give PeoplePerHour.com a three-star rating, as I appreciate that they eventually refunded me, but I still feel like there is room for improvement in terms of their overall customer service and quality control.

PeoplePerHour freelancers going directly to my clients to solicit my business. this is a deal breaker.

I am sorry but I cannot use this service because some of your freelancers decided not to bid directly to me but went over my head to contact my client directly to solicit the job. I cannot trust this service not undermine my business although most freelancers are respectful. I will not be pursuing bids through this service if it IS NOT ABSOLUTELY CLEAR this is very uncool and disruptive of my business and my client's time - who in fact reported the issue to me. PPH needs to let freelancers know they will be cut off from using this service if this kind of underhanded grab for clients occurs. They should go through the bidding process and do it properly. Not acceptable and this has soured my view of this entire service.

PeoplePerHour refund of $21.95 needed

Dear Sir / Madam,

I have paid People Per Hour $21.95 online for 1 month extension as they have recently put this for entry level freelancers. I made the payment and realized that they are fooling freelancers by giving 1 month extension as they demand 2 successful jobs with 4+ rating in 1 month while limiting the proposal credit to only 30.

So I asked refund of $21.95 which they are denying. Though I have not used that service after payment.

please help me with refund.
