Ramada Hotel stay; bed bugs

February 17, 2019

Ramada Worldwide
Complaint Division

To Whom it may Concern,

I was one of the many passengers whose flight, number 643, from Denver, was diverted to Salt Lake City due to inclimate weather at SeaTac on February 11, 2019.

When I arrived at Ramada North Temple, located : 1659 W North Temple, Salt Lake City, UT 84116: (801) 533-9000 I was informed that there was no food and the closest restaurant was a Denny's across the street, on the corner. I was assigned to room 162. Hindsight being 20/20 I should have called a cab and run, but it was after 10:30 and I was hungry and tired. I needed to eat and sleep. I went to my Motel (not Hotel) room and was instantly dismayed. The reception area had been shabby and unpleasant but looked good in comparison to my room. I dropped my bag on the bed and was apprehensive when I had to touch the unwashed drapes to close them.

I walked to the Denny's alone, at night. It was scary. Fortunately some of my fellow passengers arrived to eat, later and watched me as I returned to my room.

The real treat awaited me upon my return to the room. It was filthier than
I first realized, There was literally trash on the floor. I was unable to charge my phone or my computer as there were no USB ports and the only working outlet had the lamp plugged into it. The smell of bleach coming off the wrinkled sheets was a blessing. I had a hard time sleeping dreaming that bed bugs were using my legs for dinner. I ended up restlessly sleeping on top of the covers.

The next morning, I was unable to have any coffee, not just, because the pot was grimy and there was no cream or sugar, but because there was no cup.

In the morning, while changing my socks, I balanced on my shoes because I didn't want to put my foot on that disgusting carpet, I dropped my sock and it rolled under the bed. Sorry I didn't get a picture, but after seeing what was under that bed I didn't want to hang out anywhere near that floor for another second and I couldn't get out of that room fast enough. There was at least one empty can mixed in with the rest of the trash, food crumbs and fast food wrappers. At least I assume the can was empty, I didn't touch it.

I was in such a hurry to get out I didn't notice that the bedbugs were not a dream until I arrived home. (picture of my leg included).

Once again I was the lucky one, another fellow traveler had to sleep fully dressed, wrapped in a blanket because there was no heat in her room.

That motel was so bad that at 6:30 in the morning the van returning to the airport was already full with a line forming for the next one, despite the fact that our flights weren't leaving for at least 5 hours. We, passengers collectively agreed that the limited food choices at the airport had to be better than what was offered there.

This is the first time I have been to Salt Lake City and at this point it will be my last. My first impression wa not good.

I have stayed at other Ramada Inns in the past. I have found the hotels to be clean, the staff friendly and the continental breakfast edible. I would think you would like to get this place cleaned up.

I have written a letter to Alaska Airlines to inform them of the unclean conditions of that Motel.

Sincerely,

Margaret Rainard

Ramada unethical and illegal activities

I have a family member who works for ramada mezona in mesa, az. Because this employee would fear losing their employment I am submitting this complaint in hopes of ramada doing the right thing.

First of all, those in authority, specifically one of the bosses, (rocky) uses intimidation and bully tactics. These employees are extremely hard workers and are understaffed but are required to maintain a standard of cleanliness in the rooms. When they are not up to "par" they are threatened to lose several days of work or to lose their job, even though there is not enough people to do the job.

Secondly, staff are not given breaks or lunches which is clearly against the law.

Lastly, illegal aliens are employed at this location and are being paid "under the table".

I would suggest ramada seriously investigate these concerns and force your leadership to abide by the standards wyndham professes to hold, such has social responsibility. This is just plain unacceptable and should not even be said of this company. Attention really needs to be given to this unless wyndham wants to be exposed in a bad light.
Thanks for your time.

Ramada princess

So we just left the Ramada Belize City... unfortunately this was the poorest quality of service and facilities our group had ever witnessed... collectively we all agreed upon that. And personally I have never stayed at such a place.. when I expected more. You know when you book a hotel-motel what you are getting. When I travel I usually stay at Ramadas as a rule so this was such a shock.
We left our paradise island off the Belize coast a day early to spend a night in your Belize City hotel prior to departing for home after 2 weeks travelling Belize and Guatemala.

The choice of hotels was made as the website showed a myriad of amenities.. theatre, bowling lane, close to the boat port, gym and most especially the swimming pool and all that brings. We wanted a beautiful day and night of luxury around a pool before heading back to Canada.

When we arrived we checked into the room... was not completely cleaned, bed was not made, so we called downstairs. The front desk sent a porter with keys for a new room. Then he walked away... did not take us to the new room or help with luggage... just took our keys and left the new ones.
We asked at the front desk if we could get towels at the pool. Yes madam was the answer. As you can see the pool is not useable. OKAY! So she didn't want to tell us there was no pool or just didn't know?
Then we started to notice the complete shabbiness of the Ramada. I have attached a few pictures to give you a sense of the Ramada.

The bathtub had a complete ring of grime around it and the bathroom was disgusting.

So we carry on trying to have fun on our last night thoroughly disappointed we came for this and it is not open... Fyi there is an amazing child's arcade in the hotel... random I know but I wanted to be honest about the good parts too. We had no kids with us.
Theater was closed. And there was a locked door where the bowling alley should be.

My friend went to the atm in the lobby to get some cash.. it was denied two times (timed out).. when we got back to the room she contacted her bank and the amount was taken out 2 times from her account. So we go to the front desk to ask... one guy at the desk says... no problem with the atm... then one lady standing 2 feet from the guy says... oh no madam it doesnt work. We were advised to get a taxi to the bank and ask them. We are not doing that.
So my friend spent the morning having to Skype her bank in Canada to address the atm issue at the Ramada. When we should have been enjoying our time around the pool. oh wait.. there is not a working pool so I guess that doesnt matter.
We had booked a taxi to take us to the airport today which didn't show. Then we were told the charge to shuttle us to the airport by the Ramada was 15$ more than the taxi. Lord help us!

As you can read and see this was a bad day at the Ramada in Belize City. This hotel has diminished the Ramada name in our eyes and everyone we tell about this stay from Ramada hell. If you have a Ramada inn sign on the door and say you are a Ramada. Then ACT LIKE ONE PLEASE..
I have pictures but they wouldn't download.

Ramada room key < safety and condition of the hotel

To Whom it may concern:
My name is John Smalenberg my Member # 166185289B. I recently stayed at Wyndham Ramada Hollywood Florida from 21 January thru 28 January 2019 for the SECOND consecutive year. The first year went by with NO issues. This year when I decided to visit Florida for a week < I naturally decide again to stay at Wyndham Ramada Hollywood Florida . The FIRST issue was constantly having to go to the front desk to have my room key re-programmed ( THREE times in one week ). The SECOND issue was the hotel inundated with water . Please see pictures from the hotel . My room number was 417. I plan on making my annual trip to Florida late 2019 or early 2020, I would have TROUBLE staying at Wyndham Ramada Hollywood Florida or recommending this hotel if this situation is NOT taking care of in a satisfactory matter. My email address is [protected]@aol.com

Ramada unsanitary room

My wife, daughter and myself stayed at the RAMADA in Prince Albert Saskatchewan over the weekend of January 4-6 2019. I don't usually complain but this was the worst place I think I have ever stayed. We arrived to check in around 7pm Friday night, we walked into the room and it was hot, like not warm but hot. Someone had slammed the thermostat all the way as high as it would go. We shut it off, but had to open the window and attempt to sleep with it open all night to try and cool off the room. When getting ready for bed that night we pulled open the sheets where my daughter was going to sleep and what did we see? A used condom wrapper in the bed. I was totally disgusted and the three of us ended up sleeping in one bed that night. I went down to the front desk on Saturday morning, told the desk clerk the issue and she said she would have all the linens cleaned by the time we got back later that morning. We returned later and yes the linens were changed and we left again to head to our days activities. We returned later Saturday night and again pulled back the sheets only to find a stained sheet on the edge of the bed. I slept on the other side away from the stain and my wife and daughter slept in the same bed they did the previous night. I am very disappointed and will not recommend this hotel to anyone I know heading up there. When checking out of Room 318 I was not asked how my stay was, just asked if I wanted to keep it on the same credit card and given a receipt. We were hoping for some rate decrease, but none was forth coming. As a wyndham rewards member who has stayed at quite a few Ramada locations in his day this was the most and I hate to use this word disgusting. Thanks for your time . I can be reached at [protected]@yahoo.com.

Ramada ramada by wyndham gaslamp convention center san diego

I arrived last night and I will stay till the 4th of December. The room I payed 2, 169.59 dollars is really old! but the most important thing is the dirty carpet that caused me allergy all over my body. I could't sleep and I really don't know how I will stay here during next days. I spoke to the manager on duty and he will change me the room but the room is the same typology and even the carpet is the same...he promise me the housekeeper will do a deep cleaning tomorrow so for tonight I'm expecting to pass a awful night again... The only possibility I have is to cancel the reservation but during those days there's a big congress in town and all the hotels are fully booked. I'm a travel agent and I've been to many different Ramada hotels but this is the first time this happen to me in my all life. My skin is really compromise but the hotel manager told me there are no possibilities to upgrade me to a different room. I'm really desperate... Raffaella Focacci

Ramada missing items from hotel room

This complaint has been filed and has a reference number. It is 4137989. I sent an email to the hotel GM because I have still not had an opportunity to speak with him. I want corporate to have the email content I sent him on Sunday 11/25/2018. His name is Damien Baird.

Hi Damien this is Cassie Lodwick, Jennah Lodwick s mom. I want to write this detailed email to you so you have all the correct details in the timeline of events that took place in your hotel with your employee April.

My daughter and her boyfriend were arrested Sat morning. My daughter called the police because he became violent, yet he was lying to police saying she was the one being physical (despite her having a swollen, bruised cheek). The police would not allow her to get her things.

At noon on Sat I brought her back to retrieve her things. My daughter went inside and asked to go back to the room. April tells her she can't because the room has been checked out of her name. My daughter says all of my things were left up there. April says "im sorry these were the only things brought down" which was just her purse. My daughter explained all the other missing items. April said the GM will have to handle it on Monday. When she comes to the car and tells me this I said that is unacceptable. Your things don't disappear in 4 hours.

I walk back into the lobby and question April "how can it be that her things are not in the room or have been brought down here? Clearly someone on staff took her things." I asked why she couldn't go up and look in the room. She said because you are accusing my staff of stealing. That's funny because 10 min ago it was because she was checked out. I then say "well you can go look" . She did supposedly, but who really knows because she wouldn't allow my daughter to go with her.

I ask when we're the rooms cleaned out? She said 8am. That seems odd considering floor cleaning doesn't start that early. I told April I would be expecting to see surveillance footage to see who took my daughter's things. I also said "you can't ask your cleaning staff if anyone saw her things?" She said no she wouldn't it wasn't her job she isn't a manager. So not only was she not willing to escort my daughter to the room for a look, she also refused to question anyone on the matter. She didn't like i was "telling her how to do her job". Well that's what happens when a 40 year old business owner with life experience encounters a 20 something that refuses to be helpful.

She calls my daughter on Sunday morning at 7:47 am and tells her she found her boots and a black bag by the pool. We go to the lobby at 1:00pm to get her boots. The black bag that was by the boots did not belong to my daughter. It did have a few items of makeup that did belong to her. Very strange don't you think? Also strange that the male sharing the room with my daughter had nothing taken. All contents of his bag was at the front desk. April gave my daughter her purse and said it was all that was brought down. Her toothbrush was in the purse. My daughter didn't put it there. $60 is also missing from her wallet.

On Sunday when i ask April if she asked staff if they saw her items she said she did. I said "what did they say?" She said "I'm not telling you". She said im not going to ask my staff in front of you when you accused them and made threats. I said i never made threats. I proceeded to ask over and over what threat i made. She wouldn't answer, asked us to leave or she would have us removed. I also said "I never asked you to ask them in front of me, i just asked you to ask them and you refused". This whole situation seems very off and shady in my opinion.

The things my daughter is missing:
Gray sweater vest
Pink pajamas
Gray long sleeved shirt
A LOT OF MAKEUP
Perfume
IPhone charger
$60
Pink beach bag

I have already made a report to corporate. I expect you will be willing to be more helpful and review tapes to see where my daughter's items are. Feel free to call me to discuss. [protected]

Thank you

Ramada front desk gave away my room when I had a paid reservation

Hotels.com Confirmation Number: [protected].
My reservation was for Fri. Nov. 2-Nov.4. I called the Ramada Plaza, 300 Jarvis St, Toronto, Ontario at 6:26 pm on Fri Nov 2 to advise that I was not coming today, but wanted to ensure that my reservation would be held for the next day Nov.3. I asked if a room # could be assigned. They said that is done at check-in. I asked by when I needed to check in the following day to ensure my reservation was kept and the reply was any time after 3 pm.

When I arrived at 9 pm on Sat Nov 3 to check in with my 2 young children I was told the hotel was full and my room had been given away. I told the Front Desk that I called the hotel the night before to advise them. Nothing was written on my file that I called in. I asked if everyone had checked in and the reply was no, therefore there were rooms that could have been assigned to me. The reply from the Front Desk, (May) was that these people had a reservation. I asked what about the reservation I had and prepaid in advance? She refused to help. I asked for the hotel manager and she told me that the hotel manager was not working that evening. She turned me and my 2 young children on to the street with no where to sleep.

Ramada ramada wyndham staten island ny

I booked a room over the phone with a staff member on 10/15/18 for 12/31/18 I was told I would be charged a day before my reservation. On 10/22/18 Booking.com charged me for a unauthorized reservation. I contacted booking.com and the property manager at Ramada. I was told by booking.com that the payment went to the hotel. I asked how could the hotel approve and charge for a double booking when I only made reservations with the hotel which they have the confirmation for so why would they charge me through booking.com. I have a legal binding contract with Ramada for Dec/31 to January/1. I never agreed or authorized booking.com to charge me for a reservation I made with the hotel. I have reported this to federal and state agencies and both parties involved and I was just sent a email from booking.com that the hotel manager is refusing my refund a reservation I never made through booking.com and the hotel wants me to cancel my reservation with Ramada and honor the one I never authorized with booking.com. I am not a satisfied customer and I feel more like a victim. I will be following up with my lawyer if this issue is not resolved.

Ramada hotel room

My fiance and I made a reservation through groupon for a 3 day stay @ a ramada by wyndham (harrisburg-hershey) pennsylvania. This was the biggest mistake ever. It was a little cheaper than normal, we thought awesome. Wrong! Wed through sat (17th to 20th) we stayed. I have pictures of our room and all of its problems and they are not little. Cobwebs, dirty (urinated looking sheets) too hair and dirt in the corner. The toilet leaked. The housekeepers were extremely loud and yelling in front of my door. I could not get anyone to give us more towels without a hassle. They would say (this is your housekeeper) and not tell her. We were tortured. I could not check out because I did not have enough money to go elsewhere, we were there to visit my uncle who has cancer. Sad enough, than this! I mean this place is disgusting! There were stains on the bathroom walls. The door was all chewed up, it smelt like a strong scent of mildew mixed with smoke. I have been to places that would charge way less and have never ever saw such horrid conditions. This place should be condemned. I do not know how they stay open. The lights outside were filled with cobwebs. Dirt and liquids splashed on the building, a bucket under our sink, ignorant staff who do not answer phone for (wake up calls). The list goes on and I do have pictures. I had to throw all of my clothes away as I am afraid it will give us roaches or bed bugs. What a complete nightmare. I did not go near the pool. That was about the only clean thing (looked). I am asking for a refund and I will do whatever it takes to get all of our money back. I really think the board of health should go look @ this place. It is that bad! Thank you!

Ramada closed pool and locked out of room

Hello, my husband and I (Jacqueline and Keanon Mooney) checked into the Ramada in Little Rock AT on 10-10-18. When asking Hotels .com over the phone during booking of the had an open pool they advised me that it was. We got here and the pool was closed and will be until after our trip is over. Then morning 10-11-18 we went to breakfast at 8am to come back and be locked out of our room. The lock was dead and had to be reprogrammed. We were locked out for over an hour. That was an hour out of our vacation. We would like a refund or discount for being deceived about the pool and the inconvenience in being locked out of our room for an hour and a half.

Ramada ramada club membership

Sir,
My son and self are the only two users of swim pool and gym at Country Inn Ajmer.
In Nov 2017 it was taken over by Ramada Group.
Umpteen requests to almost all yielded no result.
No policy existed on use of Ramada club service for swim n gym.
We carried on paying the old rates till May 2018.
In June July I had been away.
In August we again went with debit card to Rxn to credit club fee of gym n pool but refused by Madan.
Madan helped us out by asking your marketing team member to speak to me.
Mr Saurabh the marketing team member cam to my house . We repeatedly asked if the club membership had use of swim pool n gym for the entire year. He affirmed.
Accordingly I paid for 2 membership for son n self.
Now two days back the Rxnist some Ranjeet walks in n states that membership is due .
I tell him that I have two membership and I need not pay anything as assured.
I also ask him if there is a notice declaring the swim n gym fee separately. He replied in negative . Neither was any notice given to me.
Today the gym unilaterally decided INR 25000+GST.
This taken but being a club member I should not be punished by Ramada for paying twice.
In fact the hotel people only had sent the marketing guy to my residence on my repeated request.
This Rs 25000+GST is against the ethical.practice of Ramada.
Even if it is now made then I should get a 50 % rebate as I am club member n there is rebate in food, accommodation etc
The Management must understand that I had been loyal n punished for the ambiguity in coordination n marketing. How can marketing happen through team n through GM.
Request We be allowed the use of Ramada pool n gym being member 275 n 276.
If Ramada is keen in extracting more then we should be given 50% rebate like in food etc n pay Rs 12500+GST.
An early decision will be appreciated. Please ensure coordination at Marketing Team n Management of Ramada Ajmer. There cannot be two policies on clubs .
Had it been clarified I would have bought only one.
Early decision requested
Col Dr Rakesh Sharma
Advisor to the Govt of Jharkhand in Higher n Technical Education.

Ramada ramada miami airport, miami springs fl 33166

Hello,

I wanted to follow up regarding my recent experience in the hotel. My business partner booked four rooms for the dates of 9/21/2018-9/24/2018 which one of the rooms was reserved for me and I stayed in. The experience was one that I am suprised and disgusted about.

1. The hotel has a dank and musty smell from the moment you enter to hotel.

2. I am more concerned with the strange men (3) lurking at window. I am a female and was not dressed as my window and blinds was opened and the men were at the window looked like they were doing work, however they were right at the window which is not appropriate. I brought to the attention of the front desk. They had no clue who the men were and did not investigate the complaint.

3. My telephone was not working. After several complaints, I had someone clme to the room( maintance) and though he did not speak English he called the front desk and the young helpful lady told me he said "every time I needed to make a call that I should unplug the cord from back of the phone, wait 30 seconds, and then I could make the phone call. This is unacceptable.

4. After two days of complaints, I was relocated to a much nicer room that actually had a kitchenette, closets, and larger. The feeling that things were finally turning around quickly changed to horror. The room had roaches. When the matter was brought to the attention of the the front desk, I was given a can of Raid and told to spray her room, whichI had to stay up 2 hours to let the room air out. As I sprayed more roaches came up from the carpet and started running. This is unbelievable. There were no rooms to be moved to again and I asked if there is a sister company he could check if there are any availabilities but I was told there is nothing? This is beyond unacceptable.

5. After I finished spraying the chemicals in the room I walked back to the front desk and made eye contact with the guy at the front desk then he picked up the phone and put his head down?I did not hear anything ring so he actually pretended to be on the telephone to avoid having a conversation.

The issues could have been resolved much more efficiently. The customer service was poor

As a travel agent myself I can not in good conscience recommend your hotel chain to my colleagues or clients. Although I was compensated 20% discount on the room I do not think that was enough given my overall experience.

I would appreciate a return phone call or email.

Thank you,

Ramada your entire product

October 1, 2018

Ramada Wordwide
Mr. Raymond Rickards
President of Oak Hotels, Inc,
542 U.S. 9
Fishkill, NY 12524

Dear Mr. Rickards,

I am writing this letter to inform you of my recent stay in your hotel. I can assure you that I have better things to do with my time and in my entire life (age 54) I have never written a letter of complaint. I will attempt to recreate my awful stay in your hotel, however due to time constraints I will also attempt to be brief.

I checked into your hotel late evening on Friday September 28th. When we arrived at our room number 154 we were immediately hit with the smell of embedded smoke in the room. I am fairly certain NY has not permitted smoking in facilities for many years, how the smell of stale smoke still lingers is a testament of how long your facility has not been updated.

The room, the entire hotel is dilapidated, out-of-date and is in serious need of remodeling. The sheets were stained, walls marked, hair dryer supposed to be attached to the bathroom wall sitting on top of the sink counter. For good measure the chair at the desk had two packets of ketchup left sitting on the chair, thank goodness unopened. The microwave does not work in the room as well. The safe in the room is rusted, I do not believe that is a health hazard but the mold on the bathroom ceiling might be.

Behind your front desk is a closet of sorts, the door is off the hinge and looks like it might fall down at any time. The water in the lobby is lemon water. Although I was too afraid to consume it as the lemons have turned white most likely due to the fact they have been used many times. I have never seen that before.

When we woke up Sat AM I headed down to breakfast ahead of my family for coffee and to consult with your restaurant staff regarding breakfast. This is customary as my wife and daughter take extra time getting ready and my daughter has a nut allergy. By going down early I consult with hotel staff to find out what menu items she can safely consume. Upon arrival I was absolutely appalled by the condition of your restaurant the Fishkill Grill. Quite honestly I have never (that should be emphasized) ever seen as a deplorable facility such as yours.

I am not going to bore you with the fact that I was in the restaurant and hotel industry for over 20 years, quite frankly you should be embarrassed, if not concerned about being shut down by the BOH.

Although we had a busy day planned, (Parents weekend for Marist College) and although there was very little time available to get breakfast elsewhere we decided we would catch something on the road on the way back to the college.

Upon arriving back to the hotel Saturday night (side note all the way back to the hotel from Marist 20-30 minute ride) most of the conversation was how we were dreading going back to the hotel. Upon arriving back to the hotel we found that our room had never been attended to by housekeeping. So unmade beds, dirty towels and a great deal of frustration. I had called the front desk to inform, no apology from your 19 year old desk clerk, still I had to request clean towels for the morning. My wife needed ice as she has pain in her back and ice quells some of that pain. I did not see an ice machine on the floor and walked up to the desk to find out where I could get some ice. While I was waiting to speak to the desk agent, there was a nice older couple speaking to him. The gentlemen was explaining that his family had a wedding that day and he was waiting for others to arrive. He was concerned of the ear wig that he had just found in his curtain in his room, he was also complaining of another creature that I am unable to remember right now. If I would have shared this information with my wife my family would have had to sleep in the car that evening.

On Sunday AM my family and I got dressed, bypassed the continental breakfast that I usually appreciate and headed straight to breakfast at Red Line Diner down the road from your establishment.

When my wife and I arrived home Sunday PM, we left our luggage in our garage. We both have a tendency to over pack, usually not a big deal. However due to the possible infestation concerns clean clothes were placed on high heat in the dryer for 30 minutes. Clean dry cleaning that I normally would place right back into my closet were brought to the cleaners this morning. The dirty clothes as per usual were placed in the washer. Luggage was sprayed with Lysol and is drying still in the garage.

I have included photos of some of the items mentioned in this letter in case you had any doubt of trusting the written word. You have a lot of work to do to stay in business, again you should be embarrassed by the product you have.

Sincerely,
Philip Pappas

Ramada manager customer service wyndham ramada plaza calgary

Had a reservation at this hotel for two months they canceled my reservation after I confirmed it saying my credit card was declined to then take my card again say it was reconfirmed only for me to arrive in a taxi cab not a shuttle to find that they do not accept Visa debit this was at 11:30 at night and I was with my seven-year-old son the manager never offered us any other options besides me paying four times the regular amount for the hotel room. I offered to give him another credit card number which was my husband who could give it to him over the phone but he refused. I asked him what I should do he Shrugged his shoulders and pointed at the door so my seven-year-old son and I walked around at 12 at night in a dangerous area of Calgary looking for a hotel finally after the third Hotel all three were booked up a lady was willing to help me called me a taxi and got me an extremely run down hotel where people were coming in and out all night long and felt extremely unsafe. But it was better service that I got at Ramada and it was a roof over my son and I've had since it was -3 and hailing. I called 4 hours before I arrived at the Wyndham Ramada Plaza hotel to confirm my reservation everything was fine then. then I got an email 20 minutes before I was supposed to land saying how he charged the credit card and it was declined. I use this credit card all over Canada all over the United States and even in Central America with no issues then I get back to my home province where I originally got the card from . to get treated this way put out in the night with my child in a dangerous area. He lied to me about the confirmation he lied to me about the hotel shuttle which I had to wait over 30 minutes for a taxi cab. Which I would have paid for one right away if it meant not standing out in the cold with my son. Then when I got to the hotel he refused me service to help me out and said he will charge me double for the room and a $250 deposit. Which is absolutely ridiculous. So many things could have gone wrong in this situation I am glad nothing did. I felt disrespected and belittled after traveling 18 hours I was Furious and in tears. My phone number is [protected] I expect phone call back I am so disappointed with the service from this hotel period to turn a mother and her son out at midnight is beyond me. I just thank God nothing happened to us and somebody was willing to help us.

Ramada hotel stay in augusta georgia

We were evacuated from our home in SC due to the hurricane. We booked 3 rooms at the Ramada in downtown Augusta, GA. 1 for ourselves and 2 for my in laws. They knew they weren't going to be able to make it there in time so they called to cancel. No one was answering the phones. We were able to make it there. We told them about our family who had been trying for over 24 hours to cancel. The front desk said they weren't picking up the phones because they were too busy, and according to policy they had to charge us for the first night stay anyway for those rooms.

We checked in to our room. Wood was chipping off of the dressers, which was unsafe for the young children and dog traveling with us. There was no in-room refrigerator for my medication. As I was sitting on the bed looking on my phone for a new hotel, I noticed bed bugs. We went downstairs to check out immediately...we were only in the room for 10 minutes. They would not refund us for that room neither. So I got charged for all 3 rooms that we did not use, plus a 4th room (I don't know where the 4th room came from!). Mind you every other hotel in Georgia and Florida were waiving their cancellation policies for Hurricane Florence evacuees.
