Refresh Financial Poor management

When people call out it’s up to not the people in charge but the workers to cover everyone else’s butt, while they allow still do their job. Management refused to let people take off and when they do approve it, management still calls the person and tell them, the boss needs them to come in. I feel like I’m being bullied and attacked because of my race. I get yelled at by workers and when I tell management they do absolutely NOTHING about it and then I get in trouble personal. I know people are leaving back to back and now I see why. If your not white or stuck up then they really don’t want you there.

Complaint Details
I requested to have a pay back of what I have paid since April 2020. I spoke with Ray an employee over there and he clearly explained to me I would be able to get the funds back once I decide to stop the program. So since April 2020 to February 24th 2021, I have made a total of 21 payments of 78.65$ which totalize to 1651.65$. When I requested a payout, they emailed me today saying the total pay back will be 544.28$. I figured that could be a mistake. Even with a 23.50% interest and whatever fees they charge (I think 16$ per months?), it shouldn't come up to 1107.37$ as interest and fees for 10 months? THIS IS AN INTEREST FEE BETWEEN 60% AND 70%! THIS IS NOT WHAT IT IS STATED IN THE CONTRACT! THIS IS WORST THEN A LOANSHARK! The agent Kahina finally called me up after countless messages on the Facebook messenger and also emails sent to them because they wouldn't give me a clear understanding and this is what she explained in the email: Hi ******** I requested a payment breakdown. Interest is calculated by taking the principle balance owing and multiplying it by the daily interest rate (the interest rate of the loan divided by 365 days in a year). The interest then builds up (accrues) until your next loan payment pays off the accrued interest and any fees. The remaining amount of the payment is applied to the principle owing, therefore increasing your available funds. All the best, Kahina So as per what her explanation in the email, the interest rate of 23.50% of 6000$ = 1410$ 1410$ / 365 days = 3.86$ per day 3.86$ x 30 days = 115.80$ per month They withdraw 78.65$ x 2 = 157.30$ per months 157.30$ - 115.80$ interest = 41.50$ that is paid toward the said capital per month (that I can get back) ***Please understand also that I have never missed a payment since day one.*** So basically, Refresh Financial get paid by their clients between 60% to 70% of interest on a loan that do not even exist! I thought by putting a higher amount would help more but no! the higher fictive amount it is, the higher the interest fees are! This is not right! Someone need to look into their practices because even in their contract, it is not clear! it says 23.50% on the capital amount but God I did not understand that it is per freaking day! I believe what Ray was saying in the beginning and read the contract and didn't yes it was confusing! this is a total scam! In conclusion, I am paying Refresh financial out of my own pocket 115.80$ per month so they could report it to my credit. And don't forget, the 6000$ is a fictive amount! I lost a total of 1107.37$ to this fraudulent company and I will never see it back. Especially during this pandemic, I can survive, but imagine those who worked hard for their money! This is beyond ridiculous! Even Fairstone who charges so much interest doesn't charge that much and they actually lend you the money!

Desired outcome: Get my refund with acceptable interest fee not 70%

Refresh Financial Credit rebuilding

A total scam. I have been signed up with this company for over a year. They charge you $450 plus $25 for every missed payment to report your payments to your credit burreu.
Well, 1 year later and my credit is still poor and I've paid over $1000 for absolutely nothing.

I.call to have my account cancelled and the CSR finally agrees to do so after so much back and forth.

I check my account hours later and see that the account is still open and that their payments and still scheduled. The next day I ve seen they've tKen their payment of $49 even after I tell them to close my account?

I don't underatand how this business is not fraudulent. They basically charging you $1000s of dollars to report your payment to your cresit burreau. There's so much administrarive fees and coats that is obvious they re just taking advantage of vulnerable people at this point.

They've taken over a thousand dollars from me, refuse to close my account and are still charging my back account.

I have reported them to the BBB, consumer protection and i'm really don't know what else to do at this point.

Its time for a law suit. The documentation they say I signed i never did sign. It all came from a digital contract where you sign once and it files in the blanks in areas you can not see. The damage they caused was extreme

same with me they opened an account in my name with no proof off me ever signing up for it, reporting to equifax that i borrowed 10k and 6500. which i never did, they make treats "pay us or we will screw up your credit rating" they are not a credit or a loan company and shouldn't be allowed to access your credit rating at all.

there needs to be a class action law suit

Refresh Financial reverse loan

This is a total scam. For a year, I paid over 1000 into a reverse savings. They sell this to you by saying that hey, this is you paying into savings but it appears on your credit report as a payment towards a loan. And at the end (I was told a year on the phone but then suddenly its 3 years) you have all this money saved that you can get back. Sounds awesome.
But reality was quite the opposite
I signed up for ONE loan for 100 a month but what they did was split that up into 2 loans for 50.10 each. I wasnt sure why until after I cancelled. You'll see in a second.
After a year, I cancelled because I just couldn't afford it anymore. The response I got back was that almost all of my money was gone in fees and I was only entitled to less than 1/4 of what I paid. Had I known that this was how this program was, I never would have signed up.
And remember how my "loan" was split into two loans? Well, because it was two loans, they took DOUBLE the fees!
Honestly, I am furious at the deception of their salespeople and the fact that as a single parent, I am out over 700 for this service that did nothing to help my credit. On their fb page they tall about single parents too and how they help with their credit and it's a crock. They took 700 from my 7 year old with this scam

Wow! I also was searching for a way to build my credit and came across refresh they told me the same thing! But they ruined my credit even more! They told me the loan was me paying into savings and I would be able to cash out after 8 months with no penalties. I make my payment on time every month. I notified them I would change my account in July, paid them I manual advance and gave them my new account number. This month I get a email saying I'm over my limit and they told me they never took the payment even though it's a error on their end it counts as a missed payment and hit my credit. I called for the balance on the 14th of August and they told me everything was paid up my loan and my visa. Everything was fine, come to find out they sent me a balance of me being over my limit due to THEIR error ( they admitted themselves) I am a single mother I thought they would help me instead on over 1000 in the whole because they LIED! Their a scam I wish I never came across refresh. They ruined my credit and my life and now o have to find another way to undo all of this and figure this all out.
Penalties at every corner with refresh!
1. any money of YOUROWN you put on your visa YOU CANNOT get back. Or they will ruin your credit. It's only there for you to use, while they pretend it's theirs. If you ask back for your own money you put I. The card, your credit is ruined.

if you paid it and they don't take it it counts as a missed payment and hits your credit .

The so called loan is equity and your basically giving them money for free for the first year. If you want to pull out earlier it's a credit hit. And the term is 3 years

If you want more debt and want your life ruined go with refresh financial.

Refresh Financial fictional loan/savings program

Sometime back in August 2016, I was in search of a way to raise my poor credit score so that I can become eligible for a small loan to fund my business start-up. I am a highly skilled individual with a disability employers cannot accommodate. The only way I can be a functional contributing member of society is if I; do business on my own utilizing my construction skills to serve homeowners, earn an income and pay taxes.

Talking with a representative from Refresh Financial, I was lead to believe the fictional loan/savings program offered by Refresh Financial was my best option at the time.

The Refresh Financial rep I spoke with via phone lead me to believe:

a) I could have a fictional loan amount of my choosing reported to all credit burrows

b) Affordable payments would be debited monthly from my bank account to pay down the fictional loan amount and, reported to credit burrows creating a payment history

c) All payments made towards this fictional loan will be held in trust and available for me to access at any time

d) I can cancel or stop paying at any time and not have a negative impact on my credit score; after all, the loan is fictional and all payments towards the fictional loan is rightfully mine

e) A high fictional loan balance will improve my credit score quicker

After being sold the above hype by a Refresh Financial rep, I was directed by the rep to go to a nearby Easy Financial to sign my application.

While in the nearby Easy Financial storefront, I was presented with a loan agreement and - I had lots of questions. Valid questions, such as:

a) How is it possible for Refresh Financial to charge interest on a fictional loan?

b) This agreement states I am a borrower and Refresh Financial is the lender; I am not receiving a loan from Refresh Financial, how can they be the lender and me the borrower?

Answering my questions, the Easy Financial rep replied;

a) Refresh Financial is not a charity, therefore Refresh Financial charges a fee to help you boost your credit score. Don't worry about the interest, it's just a fee that will be paid from a portion of your monthly payments. It is not interest! How can we charge interest on a non-exiting loan?

b) Correct, you are not borrowing anything! This is just a standard process we use to make your fictional loan and all payments towards it visible to credit burrows. We have to process your fictional loan as though it were a real loan, otherwise, credit burrows will not report it on your credit file and the Refresh Financial credit building program will not work.

Ignore everything in this agreement; your loan is fictional and all payments made towards it are yours to take at any time minus whatever fees Refresh Financial takes for doing you a favour!

. . .

Believing what I've been sold, believing there is no possibility of damaging to my credit and, believing Refresh Financial is the only organization dedicated to helping poor credit holders raise their credit score when all other options are/seems to be unattainable, I signed up for a fictional loan of $5000 on or about August 31 2016.

October 12, November 10, December 12 of the year 2016, Refresh Financial debited from my bank account $139.63 for each sated month to pay towards a fictional loan balance of $5000.

139.63 was too much for me to pay, as my only income was Ontario Disability Support Program payments. I contacted (via phone) a Refresh Financial representative to have my fictional loan amount reduced to $1200 so that I will have lower affordable payments towards this fictional loan/savings program.

On or about December 13, 2016, my fictional loan was reduced to $1200 and, monthly payments towards this fictional loan were to be debited from my bank account at a rate of $43.38/month.

On or about the month of March 2017, I checked my credit report and noticed Refresh Financial had posted an outstanding loan balance of $1200, payments were being made towards the fictional loan but the fictional loan balance was not reducing.

I contacted Refresh Financial on or about the month of March 2017 and, questioned the Refresh Financial rep about payments being made towards this fictional lone but the fictional loan balance was not decreasing

I was informed (for the first time) that Refresh Financial charges a $500 fee for services and all initial payments towards my fictional loan go toward the $500 fee until its paid, then you will start to see a reduction in your fictional loan reported on your credit

Following the belief I could cancel at any time; I requested to cancel and received the following response:

Yes you can cancel and withdrawal from the program at any time before payments have been made. Because you have already made payments towards this fictional loan, you can not cancel. A trust fund has been opened on your behalf and, you must pay first the $500 fee for services and then you will see your fictional loan balance decrease. You owe $500 for services and $1200 on your loan if you do not pay we will have to send your file to collections. You signed the agreement, you knew what you were getting into - now you have to pay or your credit will suffer!

Though I felt I've been scammed by Refresh Financial. Having limited funds from my only source of income (ODSP), did not realize I qualified for free legal assistance and, decided to bite my tong and swallow my pride, continued to allow Refresh Financial to debit my account to pay a fictional loan that was supposed to help me build credit without damaging it further.

Some time on or near the month of August 2018, I contacted a Refresh Financial Rep via phone to discuss about me not having any source of income because my ODSP file has been suspended. The Refresh Financial reps response was something like the following:

Sorry to hear about your misfortune, unfortunately, there is nothing we can do from our end; payments will continue to be debited as scheduled. Maybe you can get a family or friend to loan you some money or, your credit is good you might be able to get a loan. The only other option would be for you to go to your bank and request a stop payment on transactions from Refresh Financial; your bank might charge a fee and, we would have to report a missed payment on your credit.

I went to my bank and requested that they block all transactions from Refresh Financial. The bank manager told me he could block all transactions from Refresh Financial if I first pay a $60 fee for the service. I had no money to pay the fee therefor my bank refused to block transactions from Refresh Financial.

I then had the following communication with Refresh Financial:

Hey my only source of income is ODSP and I have not received my payment this month. My phone is cut off you can't call me. I need to access funds from my savings. What time tomorrow are you debiting money from my account? There is no money in the account and I'm trying to find a way to put enough funds in for tomorrows payment. How much time do I have before you try to take money out of an empty account?

Hi Jay,

I am sorry to read about the difficult times you are experiencing at this time, wishing you well.

I am not sure what time the funds will be pulled. it could be anywhere between 12am - 5pm. Every bank is different.

However, if you wish that payment to NOT be withdrawn, please contact your bank and request a ;quot; one time stop payment ;quot; on your refresh It will still be missed payment on our end, but it will save it from being withdrawn and causing you an Bank NSF fee.

Right now you have $250.00 available to you. Would you me to process your equity? It will not be immediate. Once authorized it can take 7- 10 business days to be deposited.
Also, there is an early access fee of $20.00. So the amount you would be getting s$230.0

Thank you for choosing Refresh Financial,
Cheyanne.

Hi Jay,

I will send out the request for your equity. Once approved it does take the 7-10 business days that you were quoted earlier.
The $230 will be processed as per your request.
Hope you have a lovely rest of the day.

Regards,
Mandi

For months afterwords I continued to contact Refresh Financial via phone request that they return my equity, stop debiting my bank account, close my file and remove themselves off my credit report.

I had the following conversation with a Refresh Financial rep January 2 2019:

Inquiry
02 Jan 2019 12:35 PM
I have not been receiving my only source of income ODSP. Please do not attempt to take payment from my bank account as it is already negative $180 from NSF fees from Refresh. I will let you know as soon as I have an income. Right now I'm dealing with an eviction notice and I have no financial help. Also my credit is worse now than when I started with Refresh and Refresh is the only thing on my credit report.
Customer Service

Hi Jay,

I'm very sorry to hear about the troubles you are going through right now. We are not able to put a pause on the payments, we can only cancel the account or have the payments continue. If we cancelled the account down today, we would be able to send some equity back over to you of roughly $20.

Please let me know how you wish to continue.

Kind Regards,
Jessica

I immediately called a Refresh Financial rep to talk about this. Since 2016 I have been requesting to cancel the account and told I can't because a trust fund was open on your behalf, you have to pay $500 in fees plus $1200 for your fictional loan. Now that I have absolutely no way to continue paying, I have been given the option to cancel and receive $20 of my equity back?

I have paid a total of $1375.25 to Refresh Financial
Three payments of $139.63 = 418.89, when I had a $5000 fictional loan.
Twenty-two payments of 43.38 = 954.36, after my fictional loan amount was changed to $1200

On two occasions I requested and received some equity totalling $460
First occasion $220 plus an early access fee of $20
Second occasion $250 plus an early access fee of $20

My bank account has been overdrawn $360, 8 x $45 NSF fees plus interest from Refresh Financial continuing to debit my account after I have repeatedly told them I have $0 and I want to cancel.

Refresh Financial is also charging me $200 in NSF fees 8 x $25

I have paid $1373.25
I have received back of my own money $460

I have been charged by Refresh Financial $40 for accessing my own money
I have been charged by Refresh Financial $200 for not having money to make the past 8 payments
I have been charged by my bank $360 for the 8 times Refresh Financial has tried to take money from an account they know has no money.
I have 8 missed payments towards this fictional loan reported on my credit.
My credit score has dropped from the high 600s to the low 400s
My bank called me the other day and informed me that my account will be going to collections at the end of the month unless I zero out my account immediately.

I want Refresh Financial to:

a) Immediately return to me 1373.25 - 460 = $903.25

b) Pay the $360 NFS fees immediately before my bank sends my account to collections and further damages my credit

c) Cause themselves to be removed off my credit report - Refresh Financial has never extended any credit to me and therefore should not be on my credit report

d) After a, b and c have been completed, never contact me again!

Stress kills and everyone's life is priceless, but I will accept one million in compensation for damages Refresh Financial has continued to cause me from late 2016 to today.

Read what former Refresh Financial employees have to say about the company:

"This company has too high of sales expectations with the clientèle they are trying to sell to. The employees are treated as a revolving door. They are constantly hiring and firing without cause. It was my first experience with such poor management. The expected targets have never been hit since the company started. They are also a pretty sexist company. There are no women in management and they are paid a lower wage."

"Company is young so they have no solid idea of how many things shohld be done and they are not big on taking suggestions. They dont need a reason to fire staff as I have seen countless times in my years there.
Company does well with staff social events.
Low morale and low wages.
High stress, high pressure environment.
Shady practices.
Majority of these reviews are fake to cover what really happens there."

"If I were to describe working at refresh with one word I would describe it as depressing. I've never had a job where there has been so much unorganization, no management structure and just no structure at all. You will be constantly be looked down upon and not accepted by your co-workers there is a high high turnover rate and my tenure at refresh Financial there were no experienced agents over 3 month. That always shows what kind of company refresh Financial is. Be careful if you get a call back from Refresh they are a waste of time in my opinion nothing is stable and consistent. Your pay scale is also on the lower end for the sales side of things as well maybe under 40 grand a year and thats the top salesman working full time. They will also fire you at will with little to no reason as well."

"there seems to always be a positive review after a negative shortly after it is posted which means Refresh Management is forcing their employees to post a positive review. I agree the management needs help they don't know how to lead or what to keep. I have seen so many people getting fired for being sick or for eating at there desk. I would recommend refresh only for a pay cheque nothing more."

"This is hands down the worst place you can work. The leadership team is the most useless thing I have ever seen. they treat the team like trash. you ask for help to try and do better with your job and they will never sit down and help. they threaten your employment every single day if the team doesn't provide numbers. you ask for help and they do nothing the leaders sit on the computer watching Netflix and other things. this role i will not recommend but if you can get on the other side give it a go. DON'T DO THE SALES they are disrespectful, rude, will not help you even if you ask for it. I am still employed here last week they fired 5+ people for no reason. 1 by 1 everyone went into the side room and was terminated immediately. The team leaders provide no help and just keep demanding as they sit in their chairs with there headphones in. Please don't work here its the worst place ever. This is not a fun environment they make you feel useless they abuse there employees. STAY AWAY FROM REFRESH FINANCIAL"

"Company leadership is very confused about their direction and is very good at acting in a positive way by avoiding answering the questions that matter, they don't know how to retain great employees and think it's because of growth but it's not. Both the director of HR and the coordinator have quit which is not good. Team leaders have no idea how to coach their staff to do better so they let them go, no advancement structure for people that want a career, no inflation or performance structure, very high expectations of work for little pay, very short term job where you should not expect a career. Most people leave lately after 6-12 months with the company. I wish I had more positive things to say honestly, free pizza every couple weeks is okay I suppose and feeling like you actually make a difference with clients is good on the short term but not long term as most people leave the company."

"They serve alot of alcohol on fridays"

I am presently working with a class-action lawyer and invite anyone who has been damaged by Refresh Financial to join. Contact me jay.graham.[protected]@gmail.com. I already have four people from my neighbourhood and three people from a homeless shelter who have been damaged by Refresh Financial.

CBC Market place has already done an episode warning the public of the scam Easy Home and Easy Financial and Refresh Financial play on impoverished people. Too bad I saw the episode after a Refresh Financial rep convinced me to sign up. I am open to working with the CBC to further expose and warn the general public of the scam Refresh Financial continues to pray on impoverished people making them believe they are receiving the very best financial help only to be convinced to sign up and get robbed.

Refresh Financial Rebuilding Credit

I signed up with Refresh Financial to rebuild my credit, get some support, and to makesure i am doing everything right.
I came out of it with a LOWER CREDIT SCORE! They screwed me.

I was getting so many stupid promotional emails and asked that they stop. It didn't stop and i opped for "No promotional emails".
To them that means, no emails at all. So when i missed a payment, i was not notified "because i opped for no promotional emails" Well, i was notified EIGHT MONTHS LATER! and i was notified by TRANS UNION.

Refresh is horrible and should not talk abut helping people when they screw up this much. From my experience, i would suggest going to a real company that ACTUALLY wants to help. Not hang up on you. Not tell you that its not their problem -when it actually was. I wouldn't have let a payment go 8 months when repairing my credit.
This company wants your money!

I am terrified to see my score after messing with refresh, if I can go back in time I wouldn't have even messed with them to begin with. staff doesn't know what they are talking about. I was left on hold, hung up on and even had the phone ring out all day, while requesting a call back atleast 5 times. Makes you wonder if anyone really works there

Refresh Financial credit secure loan

I called Refresh Financial a couple of months ago and was expecting a call back after requesting more information and asking about cancelling the whole credit secure loan idea.
I got no call back and just recently as of this month received emails to which I replied, no response from Refresh.
Now after having shown no positive change in my credit score, suddenly they've posted negative information which apparently lowered my credit rating by almost 100 points. Thanks for nothing Refresh. These are the things I'll be posting and sharing about Refresh from now on. Social media is excellent for getting the word out about such companies that attempt to trick folks trying to make changes in life.

Sometime back in August 2016, I was in search of a way to raise my poor credit score so that I can become eligible for a small loan to fund my business start-up. I am a highly skilled individual with a disability employers can not accommodate.

After being sold the above hype by a Refresh Financial rep, I was directed by the rep to go to a near by Easy Financial to sign my application.

While in the near by Easy Financial store front, I was presented with a loan agreement and – I had lots of questions. Valid questions, such as:

a) How is it possible for Refresh Financial to charge interest on a fictional loan?

b) This agreement states I am a borrower and Refresh Financial is the lender; I am not receiving a loan from Refresh Financial, how can they be the lender and me the borrower?

Answering my questions, the Easy Financial rep replied;

a) Refresh Financial is not a charity, therefore Refresh Financial charges a fee to help you boost your credit score. Don’t worry about the interest, it’s just a fee that will be paid from a portion of your monthly payments. It is not interest! How can we charge interest on a non-exiting loan?

b) Correct, you are not borrowing anything! This is just a standard process we use to make your fictional loan and all payments towards it visible to credit burrows. We have to process your fictional loan as though it were a real loan, otherwise credit burrows will not report it on your credit file and the Refresh Financial credit building program will not work.

Ignore everything in this agreement; your loan is fictional and all payments made towards it are yours to take at any time minus what ever fees Refresh Financial takes for doing you a favour!

. . .

Believing what I’ve been sold, believing there is no possibility of damaging to my credit and, believing Refresh Financial is the only organization dedicated to helping poor credit holders raise their credit score when all other options are/seems to be unattainable, I signed up for a fictional loan of $5000 on or about August 31 2016.

October 12, November10, December 12 of the year 2016, Refresh Financial debited from my bank account $139.63 for each sated month to pay towards a fictional loan balance of $5000.

139.63 was too much for me to pay, as my only income was Ontario Disability Support Program payments. I contacted (via phone) a Refresh Financial representative to have my fictional loan amount reduced to $1200 so that I will have lower affordable payments towards this fictional loan/savings program.

On or about December 13 2016, my fictional loan was reduced to $1200 and, monthly payments towards this fictional loan were to be debited from my bank account at a rate of $43.38/month.

You owe $500 for services and $1200 on your loan, if you do not pay we will have to send your file to collections. You signed the agreement, you knew what you were getting into – now you have to pay or your credit will suffer!

Though I felt I’ve been scammed by Refresh Financial. Having limited funds from my only source of income (ODSP), did not realize I qualified for fee legal assistance and, decided to bite my tong and swallow my pride, continued to allow Refresh Financial to debit my account to pay a fictional loan that was supposed to help me build credit without damaging it further.

Some time on or near the month of August 2018, I contacted a Refresh Financial Rep via phone to discuss about me not having any source of income because my ODSP file has been suspended. The Refresh Financial reps response was something like the following:

Sorry to hear about your misfortune, unfortunately there is nothing we can do from our end; payments will continue to be debited as scheduled.

The bank manager told me he could block all transactions from Refresh Financial if I first pay a $60 free for the service.

02 Jan 2019 12:35 PM
I have not been receiving my only source of income ODSP. Please do not attempt to take payment from my bank account as it is already negative $180 from NSF fees from Refresh. I will let you know as soon as I have an income. Right now I'm dealing with an eviction notice and I have no financial help. Also my credit is worse now than when I started with Refresh and Refresh is the only thing on my credit report.

Hi Jay,

I’m very sorry to hear about the troubles you are going through right now.

Since 2016 I have been requesting to cancel the account and told I can’t because a trust fund was open on your behalf, you have to pay $500 in fees plus $1200 for your fictional loan. Now that I have absolute no way to continue paying, I have been given the option to cancel and receive $20 of my equity back?

I have paid a total of $1375.25 to Refresh Financial
Three payments of $139.63 = 418.89, when I had a $5000 fictional loan.
Twenty two payments of 43.38 = 954.36, after my fictional loan amount was changed to $1200

On two occasions I requested and received some equity totalling $460
First occasion $220 plus an early access fee of $20
Second occasion $250 plus an early access fee of $20

My bank account has been over drawn $360, 8 x $45 NSF fees plus interest from Refresh Financial continuing to debit my account after I have repeatedly told them I have $0 and I want to cancel.

I want Refresh Financial to:

a) Immediately return to me 1373.25 – 460 = $903.25

b) Pay the $360 NFS fees immediately before my bank sends my account to collections and further damages my credit

c) Cause themselves to be removed of my credit report – Refresh Financial has never extended any credit to me and therefor should not be on my credit report

d) After a, b and c have be completed, never contact me again!

Stress kills and everyone’s life is priceless; but I will accept one million in compensation for damages Refresh Financial has continued to cause me from late 2016 to today.

There are no women in management and they are paid a lower wage.”

“Company is young so they have no solid idea of how many things shohld be done and they are not big on taking suggestions. They dont need a reason to fire staff as I have seen countless times in my years there.
Company does well with staff social events.
Low morale and low wages.
High stress, high pressure environment.
Shady practices.
Majority of these reviews are fake to cover what really happens there.”

“If I were to describe working at refresh with one word I would describe it as depressing. They will also fire you at will with little to no reason as well.”

“there seems to always be a positive review after a negative shortly after it is posted which means Refresh Management is forcing their employees to post a positive review. I agree the management needs help they don't know how to lead or what to keep. I have seen so many people getting fired for being sick or for eating at there desk. I would recommend refresh only for a pay cheque nothing more.”

“This is hands down the worst place you can work. STAY AWAY FROM REFRESH FINANCIAL”

“Company leadership is very confused about their direction and is very good at acting in a positive way by avoiding answering the questions that matter, they don't know how to retain great employees and think it's because of growth but it's not. I wish I had more positive things to say honestly, free pizza every couple weeks is okay I suppose and feeling like you actually make a difference with clients is good on the short term but not long term as most people leave the company.”

“They serve alot of alcohol on fridays”

I am presently working with a class-action lawyer and invite anyone who has been damaged by Refresh Financial to join. Contact me jay.graham.bach@gmail.com.

Refresh Financial lied about charges

I was talked into using them to rebuild my credit, was explained that it would be like putting into savings i made 49 payments of $54.45 and they were to report to credit agencies as if it was a loan, they then charged me interest on every payment i made, they told me that they were just doing that as to show it as loan, but wouldn't be as they cant charge interest on my own money. When I seen all the complaints and bad reviews I wanted out, so i phone to cancel after 49 payments of $54.45 which equals $2668.05 they informed me I would only receive $696, well o fought with them, and one woman I spoke to Tammy as she was transferring me she was laughing, this company should be embarrassed and ashamed of how they take advantage of people, so i filed with the Better business bureau, they told BBB that I was not their customer, I was able to prove I was and it is under review, also I have given them bad reviews on every site I can, I will also be fighting them in court, DONT FALL FOR THEIR SCAM

Refresh Financial secured visa

SCAM! The whole thing is a scam. You send in your $200 for a secured Visa, only to be give a Visa Debit card, that doesn't report to the credit bureaus. You can check this by doing a BIN search. The first 6 digits tell you what kind of card you have. 4219 7300 Refresh Visa is a debit card, no better than a pre-paid card from a store. They lie too. Complete waste of my time and money, and my cowardly account manager wouldn't even return my emails. STAY AWAY!

Refresh Financial stay away from them in your own interest

I have called them time without number all to no avail, in fact to make matter worse, I would be transferred to an automatic message box all to a brink of collapse.

Refresh financial at first would play nice and cool with you, just to have you nested and wooed into so called program.

Once you are nabbed, you are a forgotten ghost in the dark groping, please do not join them. They are bunch of scams and scallywags.

Refresh Financial credit card

Scam. Doesnt report to either bureau as promised and stated. Workers comtinje to apologize and make more promises and every month it still doesnt report. Over a year later. My account is 50$ overpaid so I am cancelling the card after a year of false promises false advertising and a customer service team that has no idea the first thing about finance or communication. I will get my 250$ back and I think ill request my monthly fee back too as they did not deliver on their advertised and repeated promises. Dont dont dont bother. Any money I have paid in interest i'm reqesting back as well as all monthly fees and my 200$ deposit as well as the 50$ I overpaid the account putting it to -49$ meaning 250$ available dollars. Also I may seek other compensation as a result of their false advertising my credit hasnt gone up as promised as they dont report to either bureau. It's a scam to take money from unsuspecting clients. Its all a scam.

They did the exact same thing to me! Took my money right away then stopped communicating. Then when I called to find out the status of my application I was told I was declined. They told me they don't send money back by email transfer so they will mail a cheque. I have been waiting for almost 2 months for my money to be returned. Who can we talk to for help?

Refresh Financial Refresh loan

They guys are a scam, and they do not help your credit, mine has gone down since starting with them. they will say anything to get you to sign up, Once you do you will soon find out nothing they said to get you to sign up is true, then when you start asking questions they will try and deny everything, they will not let you talk to a supervisor, they will blame you and tell you you need to take them to court, they will also try to pass the buck onto someone else and offer no solutions. You will think it's threw refeshas all documentation says refresh but when u call them they will say no I s actually held by Canada drives... just a big fat scam if you ask me. They told me that the free is $500 and that after a year I would get $1100, I paid $1500 and got only $200 back.

Refresh Financial Bad service

This Company is one in the same. They targeted my mentally ill sister and, promising her a loan, they took all her banking information, INCLUDING HER ONLINE BANKING PASSWORDS.
I walked in on her phone conversation with them and heard her giving up a bunch of her banking passwords!
I took the phone from her and found out this was for Refresh Financial and that it was no loan. They explained their modus operendai - they go into your bank account and take a few hundred a month and by their explanation, after paying them handsomely for 3 months, magically credit cards will start offering you credit. Riiiiigt sure. That makes no sense at all.
Unfortunately my sister had already given them all her secret banking passwords, but luckily her disability check doesn't come for another 2 weeks, so I changed all of her banking passwords, I hope that is enough. My sister lives off $1000/m, which is not much and even though I changed EVERY password with her bank, and intercepted before she signed anything over the Internet (yes this company has software for signing), I'm still terrified that they are somehow going to get into her account.
When you speak to my sister, even over the phone, you can tell that she has cognitive difficulties, it's like talking to a 10 year old. I find that very sleazy that Refresh Financial /Canada Drives would coach someone like my sister into giving out personal banking info.
