My credit card was charged $69.95, I emailed twice to Spirit and called two different phone numbers without talking to a person. Spirit does not have a way to talk to customer service, the only replay I received in the email is a auto confirmation that they recieved my email. No solution, no way to cancel annual membership of that charge was for that. Spirit has by far the worst customer service. I would neverfly Spirit again!

Hello,

A $69.95 charge indicates the renewal of our $9 FareClub Membership. As part of the terms and conditions, you agree that the membership is automatically renewed yearly, if not cancelled before the renewal date. https://www.spirit.com/StaticFareClubEnrollment.aspx

If you wish to cancel, you can submit a request via Spirit.com/help and one of our Guest Care Coordinators will be happy to assist.

Thank you for choosing Spirit!

Happened to me. Spirit just won't assist, and charge went through even with my old address and card, lol. Opened a dispute with Amex. I think Spirit must be sued for such things. Same as Frontier they're just a bunch of cheaters. NEVER FLY WITH GREEN OR YELLOW airlines, otherwise, you'll get delayed, canceled an receive vouchers for that "inconvenience". And welcome to America, if they were in Europe I would sue them immediately, but not here.

Happened to me. Opened a dispute at Amex, as Spirit just ignored my claim.

I have a Chase Bank card and the same thing happened to me. Th person I spoke with in regards to the charge said it was fraudulent and cancelled my credit card. Will have to wait for my new card. Something need to be done about Spirit Airlines. I have tried contacting them many times and have yet spoken with an agent. The online access NEVER works.

very bad experience with spirit, they are charging 69.95 every year, called customer service and they informed me that my card is not associated with any membership and will not be charged by spirit but the very next day they charged me 69.95, helpless customer service and the service is also very bad

I had the same experience with spirit, Every year they are charging 69.95 for the SPIRIR AIR ONLINE SALE MIRAMAR FL, I am not sure what these changes are, had called the customer service and they told me I am not a member of $9 or any other offerings they have and also gave my credit card number to check if that is associated with any year membership with Spirit, they verified and said that number is not listed anywhere and I will not be charged but the very next day my CC is charged with 69.95, spirit customer service is very bad, had online conversation as well as phone conversation, this has been happening since last 4 years, customer service is of no use .

Same thing with me! $69.95 charge and I have NEVER even flew on Spirit so I don't know how they got my information! So pissed! And now I am understanding that I will be charged yearly unless I cancel?! I read that someone even canceled their credit card and they were still charged! Don't know what to do.

The same thing happened to us. We have even fighting with the credit card company, thinking someone had stolen our credit card numbers and made a fraudulent charge. We can’t get a live person at Spirit.

We are charged $69.95 on our current credit card for a Spirit club of some kind that we tried to(and thought we did) cancel 3 years ago (the last time we flew with Spirit). The charge is on a new credit card we did not even own 3 years ago.
There is no way to talk to a Spirit person to cancel such bogus charges.
We are being scammed!

The same thing happened to me. Apparently this $69.95 is some kind of renewal fee that I never signed for. I am being helped by Bank of America. They gave me this mailing address:
Attention Free Spirit Customer Service
2800 Executive Way
Miramar, Florida 33025

I will write to them to see what happens. This the worst customer care I have seen.
