He has a convincing website with photos of beautiful cats. A quick search will discover that there isn't as much out there in the Maine Coon Cat community boards that will warn you about him. A more in depth search and you will discover claims that he has fraudulently sold cats obtained elsewhere as of his own breeding and will not return deposits for kittens as promised in his newsletter that he sends out.
This happened to me. After waiting for a kitten, I politely requested a refund. He stopped communicating with me and kept my money.
The Better Business Bureau webpage rates him as an "F" and lists complaints. Please be aware and check before buying.

Nice website. Pretty cats. Horrible man.

We gave him a 500 dollar deposit for a kitten and waited. His website looks so respectable and promises a refund of the deposit if needed.

Well,we needed it when our Corgi got fatally ill and we felt we needed to postpone the kitten to pay for his vet bills.

The man instantly went silent, stopped communicating, and kept our deposit.

I hear now that he is guilty of dishonest business practices of many kinds. It isn't as if I didn't do my research but the Maine Coon Societies were silent about him and continue to be.

Shame on them for letting him continue to rip people off.

Check the Better Business Bureau. Steve Brock and Stormytown Maine Coon cats has earned that F.

We gave Steve a $250 deposit for a kitten last spring. We heard from him once with an 9ffer for a kitten from another breeder for $4,000. We declined and never heard from him again. Last summer we adopted a beautiful Tux cat from a friend who was fostering kittens. We never looked back.

Steve is definitely running a Maine Coon

scam so DO NOT have any dealings with him!

I got a kitten from him 4yrs ago. My cats dob didn't match up on the paperwork and the registration. The parents he has listed on the registration, are father and daughter on his website. I have spoken to other breeders, one response.."oh the stories I can tell about that man". I emailed him twice about my cats passing, no response. Not surprised. I was devastated when when boy passed and now I'm angry knowing it could have been prevented.

He sold me a kitten as a Stormytown kitten. He never supplied a health record or pedigree for an animal I paid $2500 for. I was contacted by the true breeder when she saw kitten pix I posted that were from HER home. She had given Steve Brock kittens to sell for her so he is brokering. She did give me the vax records and pedigree But this horrible man took advantage of my situation. My husband was very ill when we suddenly lost our Maine Coon to HCM. He was devestates and I was searching for another kitten and Steve Brock basically stacked on fees to get a boost to top of his wait list and led me on. I sought his cattery as he had a good reputation and we did not want another Sick kitten. My husband passed away months after all this happened. We are happy with our kitten but not with this man who lies, cheats and scams to get money. Beware, he is a broker more than a breeder.

Steve Brock from stormy town Maine coon in Iowa is horribly rude. All we wanted was a Maine coon kitten and he makes that impossible and ruins your entire experience. I wrote him and he wouldn’t write back. I emailed him and he said I must read the newsletter first “who treats their customers that way”. I text him and said I read the news letter and that all I wanted to know was if they had kittens available and his reply was NO. what a joke this company is. We choose to go to a more professional breeder... he’s probably a scam anyway. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME.
