I had several awful experiences with the "customer service" of Hotels & Cars by Points of the Miles and More program - there is only one number (and no email) - a German number +49 69 [protected] - to call when there is a problem with a hotel booking. I prepaid several hotels just before the COVID lockdowns in Germany and when I tried to get reimbursed by my insurance, I needed confirmation that the hotels had not reimbursed me which they could not provide as the hotels stated that they had never been paid by Miles&More partners (in this case Travelscape LLC and Expedia.com) so I called the "helpline" and was treated to simply the worst customer service I have ever experienced. When the hotels provided me with statements confirming they had not received any payment for those bookings and I recontacted the Miles & More "service" team to find out who had pocketed the money I had paid for those bookings, I was interrupted before I even finished my first sentence and was told they would not help me. I asked for an email address or another number to call for my problem and was basically told to get lost. I then called Miles & More who told me there was only one number - the German number I had already called - for the hotels&cars by Miles&More. I am pretty sure it is illegal for Miles&More to debit my card in full for a hotel that was cancelled due to COVID and pocket the money without paying the hotel and I am absolutely sure that the customer "service" employees were rude and disgraceful. I am (or was) a loyal Miles&More customer but will never again book a hotel or car or flight through them. Another means to contact the company should be available. I am disgusted and will make sure everyone I know never uses this company again.
Desired outcome: I would like to make a formal complaint against Hotels&Cars by Points (Miles and More). Where can I do this?
Lufthansa Miles and More Program is a farce. I have enough points for two Business calls tickets from US to Europe. I can't get a ticket nor even an upgrade from Premium Economy. Neither can I get a rental car at my destination nor a hotel.I am a previous Senator member and now I say: Good bye Lufthansa , you suck
