The Logo Company Wouldn't edit my logo later on

I paid for a logo and then I wanted to use it months later on my site and I needed it re-sized to fit my site and it says UNLIMITED revisions and they would not edit the logo for me.

I'm sorry to hear of your frustrations but I think there is a misunderstanding on your part around the meaning of UNLIMITED REVISIONS.

Unlimited revisions is our guarantee that we will keep making changes to the design until you tell us to stop and then ask us to prepare the final files for you. This is what we did for you. You had the final files delivered. Included in the final files is the actual source file so if later on you want to make changes you have several options open to you.

1. You can make the changes yourself as you have the source files.
2. You can employ any designer in the world to make the changes for you. You would need to agree the fee.
3. You can ask us to make the changes for you and we will agree a fee for the work.

Of course we want our clients to come back to us for the additional work but there is no requirement for you to choose us for this work. I hope that clears up what UNLIMITED REVISIONS means and you can also read about it on the website.

With regards to not being happy with the design work, this is a different issue altogether. Because we have unlimited revisions you can ask us to make as many changes as you want and we will do it very happily. When and only when you are happy you can ask us for the final design files to be prepared and we will do that for you. Once you have the design files in your possession and later on you need to make changes to the design, you again have the 3 options above open to you.

We never pressurize anyone to accept a design they are not happy with. You are also entitled to our 100% money back guarantee which is valid for a whole 3 months from the start of the project. So at any time prior to finalizing a design you can ask for your money back and as long as it is within the 3 months cut off time. I think you will find that this is one of the best guarantees in the world from any graphic design studio.

With regards to rush fees, we don't have any for design. All our clients are treated equal in terms of service delivery. The only time a rush fee is available is if you have ordered printing. We would never apply this to you without your agreement so you would need to agree to that fee. If you are saying that you paid a rush fee for an item of print and it did not show up within the 3-5 working days promised then that is a different matter and I will be happy to look at that for you. If we failed to deliver on time then of course I will issue you with a refund for that. Just let me know.

I am happy to support all my clients by putting them in touch with the right people in my company. If you have an issue that is frustrating you, please email me direct at simon@thelogocompany.net and I will have it taken care of by the right person.

The Logo Company Uncompleted project

THIS COMPANY DOES NOT PROVIDE CONTRACTED SERVICES!
I paid in full - $1792 - for the development of a website and shopping cart for my e-commerce business on March 10, 2011. In addition, I paid $232 in advance to HOST MOB, their subsidiary web hosting company, to host my site. The process was for me to select a Joomla template from a number of options and submit my copy and photographs. Until I had product photographs, I was to choose a number of stock photographs from a photo service to use as placeholders. From the very first submission, the contractors delivered NOTHING that looked like the template. The copy was repeatedly incorrect and when I did submit photos, the programmers did not have the skill to adjust them to the template. I asked again and again and again for specs on photo size, what information was necessary for the cart, why the simple copy was consistently incorrect. Again and again and again I got the runaround. The site actually got worse and worse. For example, at one point, the products had prices in Australian dollars. I realized that the contractors they use may very well not read or speak English! In mid-July, they stopped working on the site and will simply not respond to repeated emails through their website or through their HOST MOB site. There are no supervisors at this company, only customer service reps who have little knowledge of the web development process. And of course my salesperson, David Osborne, who assured me that I could contact him at any time with any problem, is nowhere to be found. I researched this company via existing customers. Everyone said the same thing: they were slow but eventually got the job done. In this case, that is simply not happening. Not only am I out over $2000, I have had to use a different domain name because HOST MOB will not release my domain name. Via these posts, I have read that the company owner, Simon McArdle, is defending the work of his company. His name and contact information is NO WHERE to be found on his website. Nor does he respond to complaints about his services. My only recourse is legal, which I have initiated.

Hi Guys,

I'm really sorry to hear about your frustrations. We try hard to learn from all our clients and hopefully improve our service. As you can appreciate, web design is a little more complex than logo design and we are probably our own worst enemies when it comes to managing that expectation for our clients. Having said that it is also a very hard product to support.

As I mentioned before, we try hard to learn from our clients and the lesson we learned here is that we are really not very good at supporting the web design process. Rather than muddling through and letting our clients down we tried really hard to make ourselves better at the web design experience.

We failed. We had a great product but a really poor customer experience. For me that is not good enough. So now we no longer design websites. It has cost us over a million dollars in revenue and meant the redundancy of several members of our team to make that decision but for me it is a price we had to pay. We now have the energy and drive to focus entirely on our core business which is logo design and marketing materials.

If you are an existing web design client we will do our utmost to support you. We will support you for as long as we can. I have responded directly to Hetal above several times via email and I have put him in touch with the right people to resolve his issues. I have no idea who you are Gracie and we have no court proceedings against us so I can only assume that you either got refunded or we made you happy in the end. Please feel free to email me direct simon@thelogocompany.net if you have any outstanding web design issues and I will get the right people around the table to solve your problems.

With regards to having an incoming phone number, this was the cause of a lot of our support problems. We were spending 90% of our time supporting 10% of our clients on the phone. That meant that the other 90% of clients were not getting the support they needed in time. Because we identified this issue, we removed our incoming phone number. Having said that we still have phone support because if you ask us for a call, we will call you back. That means we can at least be prepared for your call so the whole process is more efficient. You can also email, or fill out one of the forms on the site. And now of course you can email me direct.

If you have had a poor experience with us I am really sorry because that has never been our intention. We always put our clients above everything else but we are of course fallible humans too and we do make mistakes. When a mistake is highlighted, we do our best to resolve the situation and learn from it going forward.

Feel free to get in touch with me.

Hey Gracie, I am currently having a similar experience with the LogoCo as yours. Again the same person David Osborne took my order for Logo design and website design, however fortunately I had chosen my own hosting company. After some communication back and forth, they completed the Logo Design, but the website design has just stalled. Moreover the company has stopped taking phone calls - they say they are having technical difficulty with their phone lines (now for about 4 weeks or so). Their customer service reps keep giving you the run around. every time, after a week of waiting from the point input is given, really no major change is made to the website. I think their customer service reps and designers are completely disconnected. Just like you I paid $1400 upfront, after which I could never get a hold of David Osborne. Their CS would tell me he is away from his desk every time I called and eventually I was told he has left the company. I'm not sure what is going on at the company - Looks like they may be in the middle of some major problems - don't know - but a website and logo service company not taking calls for a month - that just raises a RED flag. As a last resort I emailed Simon, the owner of the company which my overall experience and am hoping he can rectify the issues and get my website design moving - I'll wait and watch. The overall experience dealing with this company has been extremely poor. I have put in so much time and energy in trying to communicate with this people to convey details about the website, its unbelievable - probably more than the 1400 bucks I paid. If this doesn't get resolved the next step would be to file a complaint against this company through the Better Business Bureau - BBB.org

Have you had any luck on your legal recourse with the company ?

The Logo Company - False Advertisement

This company really is on my list of vendors to NEVER use again. The Logo Company promises to have a team of 5 designers create a logo for your business, organization and or company within 3 business days. I submitted my business details and specification for design via internet as per their procedure on Friday October 29th. Here it is FRIDAY - November 5...
