My 5 year old oven wasn’t heating and the AquaLift function wasn’t working. A technician replaced the element so it now heats to desired temperature for cooking. However, the self cleaning still didn’t operate sufficiently. I filed a complaint and the tech returned with a new circuit board, which costs $500. Whirlpool knew about this, and offered to pay 50% of the cost of the board-despite knowing, the entire time, as it turns out, that the new circuit board would not solve the problem-in fact , nothing ever will! It turns out that their new elements have a lower power due to fire danger, and therefore the oven will never heat to the temperature required to self clean. In the sheer stupidity of the company, I have spent endless hours pushing buttons to eventually speak to a human about this problem, only to be informed by the technician that the issue is unsolvable with the new elements that the company is now supplying. They allowed me to be led all this way with a $500 circuit board replacement, knowing full well that with a new element, it would never work anyway. I am beyond furious.
Desired outcome: Refund of cost of Circut board and at least 70% off the cost of a replacement
