Quicken Loans Mixed Experiences with Quicken Loans

As someone deeply familiar with the mortgage industry, I understand the importance of finding a reliable lender. Looking at the reviews for Quicken Loans, it's clear that customers have had mixed experiences. While some praise the company for its outstanding customer service and smooth application process, others express frustration with delays, lack of transparency, and issues with communication. It's essential for potential customers to carefully consider these varied perspectives before making a decision. Remember, choosing a mortgage provider is a significant financial step, so take the time to research thoroughly and ensure you find a lender that aligns with your needs and values.

Quicken Loans Great, easy people to work with

We talked online with a rep, who answered our questions. She was then able to take our information and get us a pre-approval for a mortgage pretty much right then. She had to get some more detailed info to finalize the approval, but it was nice being able to start looking for a house with an Idea of what we would be able to actually get a loan for.

Quicken Loans People, a company doesn't get any better than this

People, a company doesn't get any better than this. Once I'd asked for help with my home loan, they COMPLETELY took the initiative, and got 'er done. I had put off my re-fi because I'd remembered having to shlep all over town for this or that document... Quicken friggin did it all, and for me and cheerfully, seeming to grasp (in a way other mortgage brokers did not) that I was doing THEM a favor, by selling them my loan. Very, very cool company. I cannot recommend them enough.

Quicken Loans I was really happy I discovered Quicken loans after

I was really happy I discovered Quicken loans after getting a quote from another heavy advertiser in my area (Paramount Equity). They came back with an interest rate that was a full point and a half lower on our $300k home!

There online access to the mortgage process is excellent in fact it made things pretty darn easy to go from steps A to Z.

In the end you are going to pay a little more in closing costs with them however you will most likely save that in interest over the life of your loan and as an added bonus if you ever refinance with them the cost is free the second time!

Quicken Loans Low appraisal

Ql is at fault for a low appraised value? That is an independent appraiser im sure quicken is just thrilled your home appraised low and they wasted resources on a loan that cant close. The old 500 deposit complaint gets old this company closes billions of dollars in mortgates pretty sure their objective is not to collect a deposit from you. You pay a deposit to a mortgage company to pay third party fees your appraisal is one of them. Your loan doesnt close you pay for the actual appraisal they pay for processing a loan that doesnt close locking a rate and are out thousands of dollars including bad pr from people that think ql is out to collect these deposits to take over the world and stick it to people bc thats where the real money is in mortgage lending... 500 deposits

Quicken Loans Review: Quicken Loans - Overwhelming Calls and Bad Business Practices

Be careful when you apply for a loan online because you will receive a lot of calls from different companies. It's like they are vultures waiting for their prey. Quicken Loans is one of those companies that will call you non-stop. It can be overwhelming and annoying.

When you finally decide to talk to them, they will ask for your social security number right away. This is not a good practice because it can lower your credit score if you decide not to go with them. They should give you options first and let you know what your credit score looks like before asking for your social security number.

They claim to be awesome, but I don't think so. They should prioritize giving you options and information before asking for your personal information. It's just bad business practice.

I believe that they should improve their customer service and communication skills. They should listen to their customers' needs and provide them with the best options available. It's important to build trust with your customers and not just go for the kill.

Overall, I had a bad experience with Quicken Loans. I hope they can improve their services and make their customers feel more comfortable when applying for a loan.

Quicken Loans Nightmare Refinancing Experience with Quicken Loans: Bureaucratic Process, Terrible Customer Service, Uncompetitive Rates

This is absolutely ridiculous! I have never heard of such a thing. It seems like Quicken Loans is just trying to make the process as difficult as possible. I have had to send in the same documents multiple times and every time I call, I get a different answer from a different representative. It's like they don't communicate with each other at all.

To make matters worse, the interest rates they offered were not competitive at all. I could have gotten a much better rate from my local credit union. But I decided to go with Quicken Loans because I thought it would be a smoother process. Boy, was I wrong!

I would not recommend Quicken Loans to anyone. Save yourself the headache and go with a different lender. The only reason I'm sticking with them now is because I've already invested so much time and energy into this process. But if I had to do it all over again, I would definitely choose a different lender.

Overall, my experience with Quicken Loans has been a complete nightmare. The process is bureaucratic and confusing, the customer service is terrible, and the interest rates are not competitive. If you're thinking about refinancing with Quicken Loans, I would strongly advise against it.

Quicken Loans Disappointing Customer Service Experience with Quicken Loans: A Review

I recently contacted Quicken Loans to get a pre-approval for a mortgage. I spoke with a representative named Sunny Beydoun on Thursday, May 13th. Sunny instructed me to call him back in 30 minutes with all the necessary information to get pre-approved. He even gave me his cell phone number, which was very helpful.

However, when I called back 30 minutes later, Sunny informed me that he was at his nephew's birthday party and that he would call me the next day. Unfortunately, I did not receive a call from him the next day. When I reached out to him, he said he had called my girlfriend instead. We then decided that I would wake up early the next morning, May 15th, at 7am PST to get pre-approved since Sunny is located in Michigan, which is three hours ahead of me.

The next day, I woke up early and called Sunny at 7am PST. However, he informed me that he couldn't give me a pre-approval until 9am PST because Quicken Loans only does pre-approvals after 9am. I asked him if I could get a pre-approval at 8am, and he said I could. I was frustrated with this inconsistency in information and decided to work with another loan originator in my time zone.

Overall, I was disappointed with the customer service I received from Quicken Loans. Sunny was not very helpful and seemed to give me conflicting information. I hope they can improve their communication and provide better service to their customers in the future.

Quicken Loans Quicken Loans: Incompetent and Disorganized Mortgage Lender

I gotta tell ya, Quicken Loans is a real doozy. You won't be dealing with just one person, oh no. It's a whole group of folks, and they don't seem to talk to each other much. I got one mortgage through them, and let me tell ya, it was a real headache. They kept losing my documents, and none of the employees seemed to know what the other was doing. It wasn't until the day before that they finally got everything together.

So my husband, bless his heart, thought it was just a fluke and wanted to give Quicken another try. We put an offer in on a home back in February, and it's now March and they're still asking for the same dang information we already sent them. And get this, they asked for a copy of our mortgage payments! Can you believe that? We already told them our other mortgage is through Quicken. How could they not have that information? My husband had to send it to them again, basically copying and pasting from our Quicken account.

We've gone through three different people now, and they all seem to be asking for different things. It's like we're starting all over again every time we talk to someone new. And to top it all off, we're supposed to close on April 9th and we're not any closer to that date. This is hands down one of the most incompetent companies I've ever dealt with. We've had four homes with four different lenders, and let me tell ya, Quicken is the worst of the bunch.

Quicken Loans Disappointing Experience with Quicken Loans: Poor Customer Service and Lack of Knowledge on HARP and Refinancing

I called Quicken Loans to ask about HARP and refinancing. I picked them because they had a 4-5 rating. I'm really disappointed. I talked to 5 reps, hoping to find someone who knows what they're talking about, but they all suck! First, they don't really know what HARP is. Second, I asked for figures for closing costs, 15-year and 30-year terms, and all they gave me were ballpark figures like "somewhere from $6 or $8000 maybe." What the hell does that even mean? Am I calling a flea market or something? You can tell from their voice that they don't really care. Two of them even had sarcastic tones because I didn't want to close right then and there! Then they checked my credit score without asking me first! Now my score went down a lot! What kind of customer service is that? I asked if they had an office where I could go and sit down to study offers, but they said no. How did this company get high ratings with these kinds of people and service? If you call them, make sure to get the name of the rep. The company should know who these idiots are because they'll ruin the company's reputation. I'm going to look somewhere else. I'm done with Quicken Loans!

Quicken Loans Disappointing Refinancing Experience with Quicken Loans: Bad Appraisal, Rude Service, and No Cash Out

So, we got these emails from Quicken Loans about refinancing our mortgage. We thought, why not give it a try? But let me tell you, it was a whole lot of work. We had to go through so much paperwork and emails back and forth. And then, to make matters worse, we got a bad appraisal. It was a real headache.

But the worst part was that we didn't even get the cash out we wanted. We had stressed from the beginning that we wanted $15,000 cash out. But in the end, we didn't get it. And the person who was supposed to help us was just plain rude. They told us that our house was in a depressed area and that the value of the neighboring houses wasn't high. Well, duh! That's just how banks and the real estate world work. But they didn't take into consideration that there are new homes being built just a few blocks away. And our city is growing fast, with construction and utilities being worked on all over the place.

To make matters worse, this whole process took longer than any of the mortgages we've gotten in the past. And our FICO scores are pretty good, too. Mine is 790 and my partner's is 720. But all we're left with is a checking account that's $400 lighter and an appraisal fee of $100. They were quick to take our money, that's for sure.

But I have to say, the people we dealt with, Sara DeGregory and Cindy White, were really nice. They deserve better than to work for Quicken Loans.

Quicken Loans Nightmare Experience with Mr. Cooper After Quicken Loans Transfer: A Warning to Homeowners

So, I gotta say, my experience with Quicken Loans was mostly okay. I mean, they did make me get an appraisal that cost me $1,100, which was kind of a bummer. But other than that, the closing process was fine.

But then, a few months later, they flipped my mortgage over to Mr. Cooper and things got real bad, real fast. First of all, they flipped the loan on August 1st, but Mr. Cooper didn't pick it up until August 3rd. And somehow, even though the loan hadn't been picked up yet, my automatic payment for August 1st got cancelled. Like, what the heck, man?

So then I got a letter from Mr. Cooper on August 11th telling me to go to their website to make payments. And let me tell you, that website was a hot mess. It didn't prepopulate any of my account information, so I had to manually enter everything. And then, even though I set up automatic payments, Mr. Cooper cancelled them because they said I was behind on my payments. But I couldn't get current until I set up autopay. It was a vicious cycle.

I ended up making a one-time payment through their website, but even that was a nightmare. I set it up for September 12th, but then Mr. Cooper changed the date to October 10th without telling me. So I had to go back to the website a third time to change the payment again. And guess what? It still hasn't gone through.

I've called Mr. Cooper four times now to try to get this sorted out, but no luck. And don't even get me started on how hard it was to tell Rocket Mortgage about all this. I had to go through so many phone transfers and hold times, it was ridiculous.

Honestly, I wouldn't recommend Rocket Mortgage to anyone. They work with the worst. And there's actually more to this story, but I don't want to bore you with the details. Just trust me, it was a nightmare.

Quicken Loans Quicken Loans: A Bait and Switch Con Game Preying on Veterans - A Real Review from a Combat Veteran with PTSD

Me, 28 year old Marine Combat Veteran with Purple Heart. Two years ago, I refinanced my crib with Quicken Loans. One thing I made clear was that I wanted to pay my own Homeowners Insurance. See, when I was in another loan, the mortgage company kept telling me at the end of the year my Escrow account was short. My Realtor friend told me to pay my own Homeowners Insurance, this would end my Escrow shortages. I told the agent I was working with at Quicken Loan and was told that stating out I would have to let them pay my Homeowners Insurance. However, after a year I could start paying my Homeowners Insurance myself. Now, two years later, I get a notice that my Escrow account had a shortage. I talked to a so-called team representative about my taking over my Homeowners Insurance payment, she gives me a lot of mortgage "garbage" which basically meant that I couldn't. I see this as a Bait and Switch con game Quicken loans play with people in order to increase your mortgage payment each year. I truly HATE company like this who preys on Veterans... or prey on any one for that fact. There should be a law against mortgage company's doing this, but because of their size and money they will always win out. No one to protect the consumer. I will alert the BBB about this scam. If you are a Veteran stay clear of Quicken Loans. As one reviewer said - they are not military friendly. I will do everything I can to expose them so that people will not get caught up in all their hype about being the "best" mortgage company out there. Believe me, they are "BLOOD-SUCKERS! This is a REAL review from a REAL military veteran who suffers from PTSD!

Quicken Loans Unsatisfied with Quicken Loans: Lies, Incompetence, and Violations

I gotta say, my experience with Quicken Loans (quickenloans.com) was not great. The responses I got were pretty passive and didn't really take responsibility for the rebate I was promised on my initial call. And let me tell you, the closing credit they kept bringing up was not a rebate at all. It was compensation for the terrible handling of my entire loan and home buying process. They never told me that the credit was in lieu of the rebate they promised me at the beginning of the process.

Honestly, I think they're lying about it. That credit was definitely due to their own incompetence. And the fact that they violated VA, FHA, and general good faith practices just makes it worse. The so-called Resolution Team didn't really help either. They just gave me these vague statements and never really addressed the actual issues I had.

I'm still completely unsatisfied with the whole thing. And the fact that they never told me that the credit was in lieu of the rebate just makes it worse. I'm going to keep holding them accountable for their lies and incompetence. And I hope that anyone else who's thinking of using Quicken Loans thinks twice.

Quicken Loans Quicken Loans Review: Frustrating Experience with Poor Communication and Unnecessary Charges

I gotta say, my experience with Quicken Loans was a real doozy. I applied online back in July and sent in all the stuff they asked for. But then, I didn't hear anything for a few days, so I reached out to see what was up. They told me my loan officer would be in touch, but it took a while for them to actually get in touch with me. When they finally did, they asked for my credit card info and some other stuff. They sent me a quote that said we'd close in 4 weeks, but that turned out to be a bunch of baloney.

For the next couple of weeks, it was just back and forth, back and forth. They kept asking me to sign stuff I'd already signed and send in stuff I'd already sent in. It was like they didn't even know what they were doing! I tried to be patient and just do whatever they asked, but it was getting pretty frustrating. They had me meet with an appraiser, but then they kept calling me to schedule another appraisal. I was like, "What the heck is going on here?"

Finally, they told me that only half of the appraisal had been done and they needed to come back and do the rest. By that point, I was just done. I told them I was going to use someone else. But then, to add insult to injury, I found out that they had charged me for the partial appraisal on my credit card. And when I tried to dispute the charge, my credit card company said I couldn't because I didn't opt out in time. What a load of crap!

Look, I have an 800 credit score, my house is worth over a million bucks, and I have a good job with no other debt. There was no reason for this to be so difficult. But Quicken Loans and their "sub" company Loan Pronto really dropped the ball. If you're thinking about using them, I'd say good luck, but be prepared for a lot of headaches and wasted time. And don't forget the money they'll try to squeeze out of you for no good reason.

Quicken Loans Con artists

Quicken Loans RUN! AKA RocketMortgage

The responses continue to be passive and does not take actual responsibility for the rebate I asked for and was promised on my intial call.

The closing credit that the representative keeps bringing up doesn't actually reflect any type of rebate but actual compensation for an issue Rocket Mortgage created. The credit at closing was due to the horrendous handling of my entire loan and home buying process. At no point was it told to me, expressed or given to me in writing that this credit was in liue of any additional rebate that was previously promised to be at the beginning of this home buying process

The response is a lie and in no way was that credit due to anything but to cover what all they created as a horrible experience.

For the "so called" above normal credit, it was due to their above poor handling of my buying process. It was the minimum they could have done, especially since the fact they violated VA, FHA and general actual good faith that is expected from a company that is supposed to be a go to in home loans.

The so called Resolution Team remain to give blanketed statements and completely leave out what the actual closing credit ACTUALLY was for.

I remain completely unsatisfied and as I previously stated, this resolution reps completely in any way outline or give knowledge to the level of issues that this process entailed. Since NO ONE ever outlined that credit was in lieu of any additional rebates or promises. I will continue to do my best to hold Rocket Mortgage accountable for their lies, blatant incompetence and these so called Resolution Team pretending to address an actual customers complaint with detailed emails and coorespondance exist on the above between Rocket Mortgage EVER stating a closing credit was given for anything else besides the out of pocket money I paid and the horrible experience in my home buying promise.

Quicken Loans The lone wolf of bad reviews? Be forewarned

I don't know where to start. I applied online 7/31/2020 and uploaded all of the documentation required. On 8/3/20 I reached out to find out "what next". Received a reply that Loan Officer would be in touch. They e-mailed me and asked for my credit card (needed for when the appraisal would be ordered) and a few other odds and ends. They sent me a quote and part of the quote indicated we'd close in 4 weeks. Then they e-mailed me to upload this and that and I realized, wait, I already did all of this. They found it. This back and forth and repeat went on for 2 weeks - asking me to DocuSign things I'd already signed, submit things I'd already submitted - but I complied anyway. Resigned, resubmitted. Whatever they asked - just let's get moving, right?!? They had the appraiser contact me - scheduled to take time from work, met with him and then for over a week, I asked if the report had come back. But then, shortly after, another appraiser started calling me from the same company trying to schedule an appraisal. What? I e-mailed my contact person - got apologies - no, must have been an accidental overbooking, so sorry etc. Then I received another quote and by this point my bank statements were stale and I had to upload updates. Things went back and forth and back and forth (with you never knew who because they have lots of cooks in the kitchen!) and then on 8/27 ( after numerous (and I have them for proof) e-mails repeating that the constant calls for an appraisal were an oversight), I was told: oh, they finally found out that only the first half of the appraisal was done and they needed to come back. What? Well, 8/27 was a Thursday, the appraisal was NOT done so, clearly no one was going to close anything by 9/3/20 or 4 weeks... Well that was enough for me. I'd had it. I explained to the lady that there was way to much confusion going on on their end to make me comfortable and I was going to use someone else. Thank you. Goodbye. Now, so you have history, I have an 800 credit score, my house is valued at $1,000,000 (plus) with an outstanding mortgage balance of $107,000.00... $900,000 in equity to be clear. I have a full time job and no other debt. What's the problem? Well now the problem is, the charge for the partial appraisal is on my credit card statement and the credit card company tells me I cannot dispute the charge because I did not opt out in time. Excuse me? There was nothing to opt out of... I had nothing from these people. Quicken Loans gets an "F" in my book as does their "sub" company Loan Pronto. If you go with them, best of luck, but please note, you may join the lone wolf pack and not have a 5 star experience as most seem to have. And the cost? Lots of time, aggravation and MONEY!

Quicken Loans Disappointing Experience with Quicken Loans: A Warning to Potential Customers

I gotta say, I had a pretty disappointing experience with Quicken Loans. I was really looking forward to refinancing my home, so I gave them a call back in November. They told me that even though my husband works in Saudi Arabia and our income is foreign, they could still help me out and close the deal. I was thrilled!

So I went ahead and paid a bunch of fees and got an appraisal done, and I sent them every single piece of paper they asked for. Tax returns, letters from my husband's employer, you name it. I was really putting in the effort to make this happen.

But then, in March, they hit me with the news that they couldn't close the deal after all. I was so disappointed. And to make matters worse, they refused to refund my money! I mean, come on. That's not cool.

I did some research and found out that according to regulation Z, "a consumer cannot be charged fees associated with the refinance of a primary residence if the loan does not close." So technically, they shouldn't have charged me anything in the first place.

Honestly, I wouldn't recommend Quicken Loans to anyone. It feels like a scam to me. Don't waste your time or your money.

Quicken Loans Unpleasant Experience with Quicken Loans: Misleading Agent and Poor Customer Service

We decided to refinance our mortgage in 2020 when the interest rates were low. We were hoping to save some money on our monthly payments. However, our experience with Quicken Loans was not a pleasant one. In May, we started receiving calls from one of their agents who was very persistent and kept calling us repeatedly. They would call my phone and my husband's phone, which was very annoying.

We made it clear to the agent that we were not interested in refinancing to a higher rate. However, the agent somehow convinced my husband to run both our credit reports, which ended up lowering our credit scores. The agent used the words "let's do a credit review" to my husband, which was very misleading. We were very upset when we found out what had happened.

When I called to complain, the customer service representative was not very helpful. They told me that my husband should have known better and that it was his fault for agreeing to run the credit reports. I was very disappointed with their response. We asked them to remove our numbers from their system and never to call us again.

We are now looking forward to moving our mortgage to a different lender when the interest rates get better again. We feel that our experience with Quicken Loans was very unpleasant, and we would not recommend them to anyone. We believe that the agent who tricked us into running our credit reports was a criminal, and we hope that Quicken Loans takes action to prevent this from happening to other customers in the future.

Quicken Loans Quicken Loans: False Promises and Endless Delays in Loan Process

I've been dealing with Quicken Loans for quite some time now, and I must say, it's been a bumpy ride. I took out a loan for $260,000, and the appraisal came back at a whopping $550,000. I was ecstatic! However, my excitement was short-lived. It's been 143 days since I started this loan process, and I'm still not done.

I've been approved three times already, but every time I think I'm in the clear, they come back with more requests for documents. It's frustrating, to say the least. I've refinanced before, so I know the drill, but Quicken Loans seems to be dragging their feet. I'm starting to think they're just stalling, hoping to find something that will allow them to cancel the loan.

To make matters worse, they don't seem to be living up to their promises. I feel like they're using false advertising to lure in new clients. It's not fair to those of us who have already signed on the dotted line. I'm starting to wonder if they're more concerned with impressing their investors than actually helping their clients.

It's not like I have bad credit, either. My score was over 800 when I started this process. I'm just frustrated with the lack of progress. I understand that things can take time, but this is getting ridiculous. I'm hoping that Quicken Loans will step up their game and get this loan closed soon.

Quicken Loans Pushy and Arrogant: My Unpleasant Experience with Quicken Loans

So, I just got off the phone with Quicken Loans, and let me tell you, it was not a pleasant experience. I had a scheduled call with a loan officer at 11:00 a.m. today, but at 9:00 a.m. this morning, someone from the company called me up and started asking me questions that I had already answered before. When I told them that I wasn't going to be making a decision on a loan today, they got really upset with me. They started asking me all sorts of questions like "When are you going to make a decision?" and "What day is it going to be?" It was really frustrating and unnecessary.

I mean, who needs to be talked to like that? It's not like I'm trying to waste their time or anything. And to top it all off, they were really pushy and arrogant. They acted like they were doing me a favor by even talking to me. It was really off-putting.

And don't even get me started on the $500 upfront fee for a house appraisal. That's just ridiculous. I mean, I understand that they need to make money, but come on. There are other lenders out there who don't charge that much for an appraisal.

Overall, I would not recommend Quicken Loans to anyone. They're just too pushy and arrogant for my taste. If you're looking for a loan, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. There are plenty of other lenders out there who will treat you with respect and won't charge you an arm and a leg for an appraisal.

Quicken Loans Unfair Mortgage Policies and Lack of Progression: A Review of My Experience

I been payin' all my notes on time for over 10 years. I'm self employed and they told me I needed 2 years of taxes, but what they don't tell ya is that if ya get a better job after them 2 years, ya gotta wait another 2 years for taxes to be submitted. It's just plain stupid how they don't care about how ya progress in life or if ya just wanna refinance. I'd rather pay more to someone who actually wants to help. The guy who helped me start my mortgage was Grobnagger, Nick. He was real nice and helpful over 10 years ago, but then he just disappeared.

Quicken Loans Quicken Loans Sold My Loan Four Times in Two Years - Frustrating Experience

I went with quicken loans over another bank that offered the same rates. What a mistake that was. They immediately sold the loan within 3 months. Had to set up auto pay again. They didn't notify me that it got sold. So I ended up getting late fees and having to spend hours on the phone getting the payments that went to quicken resolved. Then they never sent me my tax statements at the end of the year. Had to spend another hour on the phone with them to get that. I've now had my loan sold for the fourth time in two years. So I'm going to have to deal with this again. To make a long story short go with a regular bank that will keep the loan. Haven't been this annoyed in a long time.

I was really excited to get a loan from quicken loans. They had great rates and seemed like a good company to work with. However, I was really disappointed when they sold my loan within just three months. I had to set up auto pay again and they didn't even let me know that it had been sold. This caused me to get late fees and I had to spend hours on the phone trying to get everything resolved. It was really frustrating and I wish they had just kept my loan.

To make matters worse, they never sent me my tax statements at the end of the year. I had to spend another hour on the phone with them just to get that sorted out. It was really annoying and I felt like they didn't care about me as a customer.

Now, I've had my loan sold four times in just two years. It's really frustrating and I know I'm going to have to deal with this again in the future. I wish I had gone with a regular bank that would have kept my loan. I haven't been this annoyed in a long time and I don't think I'll be using quicken loans again.

Quicken Loans Unprofessional and Costly: My Experience with [Company Name]

Not good. They messed up our closing 'cause they didn't get all the papers done in time. Kept asking for more papers and our closing got delayed. Had to pay for storage units, extra moving expenses, hotels, and all that jazz. They said they'd cover it, but they didn't. Ain't gonna use 'em again. They did the same thing to my buddy. When they finally called back about reimbursing us, they didn't cover what they said they would. Now we're out over $1,000 'cause they messed up. Plus, they got our address wrong, but they can still send us a bill in the mail to the right address. What a mess. They're not a good organization and they're not professional to work with. Don't recommend 'em.

Quicken Loans Quicken Loans Review: Frustrating Refinancing Process with Rocket Mortgage

I'm here to give you an update on my experience with Quicken Loans, or as they call it, Rocket Mortgage. I started the refinancing process back in June of 2020, and it's now October 14th, 2020, and I still haven't closed on my loans. I have two properties that I'm refinancing, and the loan to value ratio is around 30% for each property. Any bank would be happy to see that kind of ratio, but it seems like Quicken Loans is taking their sweet time.

Now, I'm not one to complain, but I have to say that this process has been a bit frustrating. I have a credit score of over 800, and my net worth is in the millions, including cash and other properties. You would think that would make the process go a bit smoother, but it seems like Quicken Loans is still requesting additional documents from me.

I've had to provide updated documents a couple of times because some of the documents went past the 90-day mark. It's been a bit of a hassle, but I understand that they need to make sure everything is in order. However, I was told last month that I was in the highest priority, and I'm still waiting for the process to be completed.

I'm not sure what tomorrow will bring, but I'll keep you updated on my progress. Overall, I would say that Quicken Loans is a decent company to work with, but they could improve their communication and speed up the process a bit. If you're looking to refinance, I would recommend giving them a try, but be prepared for a bit of a wait.

Quicken Loans Quicken Loans Review: Military Members Beware of Hidden Fees and Hoops to Jump Through

I gotta say, I've been hearing a lot of good things about Quicken Loans lately. I mean, sure, there are other companies out there that do the same thing, especially for military folks like me. But I decided to give Quicken a try and boy, did I have to jump through some hoops to get everything sorted out.

Now, I will say that I am paying less than 6% for my home, even though I live out of state. But here's the thing - Quicken still managed to find a way to make me pay more than what the tax assessors in my county said I should be paying. I mean, come on, that's just not right.

If you're in the military and you're thinking about using Quicken Loans instead of the military banks, well, that's your preference. But just be aware that you might have to jump through some hoops like I did. And make sure you fact check everything they tell you, because sometimes they might be trying to squeeze some extra money out of you.

I mean, I even went to my county tax assessor to double check everything, and they just laughed at me when I told them what Quicken was trying to charge me. It's crazy - I'm paying three grand more than the person who lives in the same complex as me and has the same mortgage.

So yeah, Quicken Loans might be a good option for some people, but just be careful and make sure you're not getting ripped off.

Quicken Loans Quicken Loans: Untrustworthy, Law-Breaking Scam Artists

I recently had an experience with Quicken Loans and I must say, it was not a pleasant one. They advertise market rate interest, but when I gave them my confidential financial and personal information, they finally disclosed the truth. They charge 3-4 points for a loan, which makes the loan double the cost. When I said 'no thanks', they refused to delete my private, confidential information, which is a clear violation of federal and state laws.

It's not just me, Quicken Loans violates laws everywhere. They don't even bother to get licensing in the states where they advertise. And the location of their offices is a secret, which makes me wonder what they are hiding. They also claim to have 24/7 service, but when I needed help, I sat on the phone for 3.5 hours before anyone answered.

The law requires them to delete my personal information, but they refused to do that. It's like they don't care about the law or their customers. They are law breakers, thieves, and scam artists. They literally lied over and over again.

I would not recommend Quicken Loans to anyone. They are not trustworthy and they do not care about their customers. They are only interested in making money, even if it means breaking the law and lying to their customers. Stay away from Quicken Loans if you value your privacy and your money.

Quicken Loans Underwriting and servicing

In 2016, Quicken phish-shopped me and told me I could qualify for a home equity loan on my home for repairs and upgrades. They converted it to an FHA refinance though there was no lien on it at the time. I later found out they did that to people to collect the FHA insurance for a pre-planned foreclosure, knowing it would take only 2-3 years to walk away with ppl's homes,on other words "REDLINED liar loans." At the time, I told them I could afford not a penny more than $x per month and said if they couldn't keep the payments down, to drop the loan amt. Instead of lowering the loan amt as I specifically requested, they violated the laws and not only changed my income in underwriting to $250 more than I made, but they also changed my property taxes to someone else's who was paying $1100 less per year than me. Instead of using MY tax bill to compute escrows, they changed it to make it appear my payments were no more than what I said I could afford. Then instead of the 30-45 day period allowed by HUD, they quietly in the underwriting process waited more😆than a year to use my ACTUAL tax bill. The payments went up to 70-percent of my income rather than the safe 38-percent. They lied and said my taxes "increased", but my taxes were the EXACT same amount on Jan 1 as they were in April of that year. NOTHING had changed, they lied to defraud both HUD and me. When I discovered what they had done wrong over a year later after my FIXED payments mushroomed from 38 percent to nearly 70 percent of my income, I asked them to modify the loan to fix what they broke; but they refused to do so and instead went straight for the foreclosure option because they knew I could no longer afford the payments. Since they swapped my income and taxes out for someone else's, it was highly intentional and predatory. They've done it to a lot of people, but many who were foreclosed on never knew what happened. Just happened I was able to figure it out, but they were sued by The Justice Dept for doing the same thing to thousands of other people who never figured out what went wrong. Not only did they change my income and property taxes, but they lied about the date of purchase of my home AND they told HID they "paid off a conventional loan that was on my home prior to when they did no such thing and were well aware of it at the time. I was approved for the modification but just as it was supposed to be scheduled, I received a call from a "Brandon" who told me I would have to pay $3800 upfront for the modification. Yet HUD doesn't allow upfront fees for anything.Of course, over a year later and disabled on a fixed income, I had no way of coming up with that much money in 30 days. Later on, I not only discovered forged documents in the file, but they said WELLS FARGO played a role in it and Wells Fargo sent a letter to me stating they had nothing to do with it and had no interest in my home. They still not only refuse to fix their numerous errors, but have driven my credit score down to less than 550 from the 699 it was. I also ended up living off loans and credit cards to buy food and pay for utilities in my attempt to pay them the 70-percent of my fixed income every month and am now not only in absurd debt because of their actions, but have been forced into bankruptcy even though a bankruptcy of more than 10 years ago had just fallen off my credit report. That was due to a divorce action that caused me to be homeless for five years. I was able to purchase my home because of an in-hospital injury that rendered me disabled with a lifelong compromised immune system. I am over 60 years of age and have to go back to sleeping in my car again after being homeless for five years. I have fought them for six years on this matter and they still won't own up to it or fix it. There are hundreds If not thousands who lost their homes to this predator in their name and in the name of their predecessor Countrywide Home Loans, and they never even knew what happened. They not only changed their name to Rocket Mtg trying to disassociate with QuickenLoans predation, but changed their importune title company from Title Source to Amrock, hiding, obviously, from their bad faith lending practices. Anyone who lost their homes to Countrywide aka Quicken aka Rocket, I have the receipts showing how YOU got cheated out of your home and SHOULD BE FILING A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT under THE FALSE CLAIMS ACT, same as The Justice Dept did. The Justice Dept said in their suit that Quicken behaved this way to get the insurance money, the additional foreclosure funds from the government AND to meet month-end sales goals so they could take cruises and get bonuses even after jeopardizing people and putting them into homelessness by these mostly race-based shenanigans. MOSTLY, even if not ALL. They also target the most economically vulnerable people that they know cannot legally protect themselves.

Desired outcome: They need to fix the mess they made of my life and credit. Or cancel the lien because they messed it up by themselves.

Quicken Loans Service

I was looking at refinancing months ago and I was called a few times and then I forgot about it and yesterday I was called 2 (finally picked up). I told them I could not talk but they transferred me anyways. I told him I had an appointment and he would not stop talking. The. I got a text as soon as I got off which was fine- then this morning I get another text. Then texted that I no longer needed their services and I would go else where and Mr. Murphy was extremely rude about it. Quicken loans is bad for this. This is not the first time this has happened with them.

Quicken Loans Hard credit ran without my consent

My husband and I have been receiving numerous calls from Rocket Mortgage company regarding refinancing our current loan with your company. It got to thr point I dtopped answering their calls. My husband recieved a call from a representative by the name Mike Lehi who was trying to get my husband to refinance our loan and my husband said no then the guy kept insisting which to me this is predatory especially when we DID NOT reach out to them for a refinance nor did we apply for any online inquiries. My husband said this man was so persistent that my husband finally said ok he can run his credit. Meanwhile he ran my credit without asking my husband and I now know it was a hard credit since my Experian notification let me know my credit was ran and I DID NOT give my consent especially when I did not speak to anyone regarding an ok for this. My husband called me to let me know that he was told that he couldn't refinance due to my credit which my husand said he thought he was only running a soft credit on him with providing Mike with his email. I was never involved with the conversation. Mike then proceeds to tell my husband about my credit and the balance amounts that I have with my credit cards. I called Mike and he told me that by law if there is a joint on a loan and one person gives consent then the company can do this, which my husband only thought Mike was running his credit and no where said anything about my credit. I sent several formal emails to the company and left a voicemail for Mike. Stating I would like the calls to be pulled since their recording and staff state all calls are recorded. I am currently waiting for any response. I don't appreciate my credit being ran without my authorization as I am worried this can lead to identity theft. Which now with this not being my request I need this further looked into so if this was not done correctly would like to speak to their upper management and their fraud department. This was all done in bad taste since we never reached out to your company to refinance our loan.

Quicken Loans Unauthorized hard credit pull

On 2/13/22 I checked my Experian credit report and discovered that an unauthorized hard credit hit was performed on 12/29/21 by Credco/Rocket Mortgage (Quicken Loans) [protected]); resulting in a 16 pt. credit score reduction on 2/14/22. That same day I placed a call to Rocket Mortgage requesting information on who was responsible for this illegal, unauthorized hard credit hit. After being passed off to three associates, I finally was connected with Michael Zambo, [protected], and explained my serious concerns regarding this completely unauthorized action. I explained to Michael that I have had no communication with Rocket Mortgage in the last 12 months or longer and certainly did not approve OR authorize any type of credit hit on my account. After requesting an answer to my complaint, Michael then requested additional time to research my complaint, which I approved. Five days later Michael called to report that after checking their system he could find no evidence of such a transaction against my credit report. After this conversation I filed a formal dispute with Experian (2-18-22) explaining that I never requested or approved any hard credit inquiry on my account and was requesting my credit score be corrected. On 2-24, I received another call from Michael Zambo explaining that a banker associated with Rocket Mortgage decided without any communication or authorization from myself to pull a hard credit pull on my account. Michael said after a "three minute call" with the banker, he explained that he pull my credit file because HE thought I might be able to secure better interest rates, again completely illegal and unauthorized. As stated earlier, without any communication or authorization this banker proceeded to make a hard credit pull on my account resulting in a immediate 15 pt drop to my credit score, and ultimately causing a total drop of 21 pts. Michael then when on to state that even though I never made any contact or authorized any action on my credit report Rocket Mortgage would not be able to correct this totally illegal and unauthorized action taken by this banker. Michael then added without any explanation why they would not be able to correct this fraud and that this action would impact my credit score for 2 years.

The total refusal to acknowledge fault and then telling me that I would simply have to live with this illegal action is totally unprofessional, horrific customer service and very possible criminal action. I have filed formal complaints with the BBB, CFPB and this organization.

I am in the process of researching possible legal options as well as seriously requesting new mortgage loan information from companies that I can trust and understands the word "customer service".

Totally disgruntled with my Rocket Mortgage experience and will take every opportunity to tell my story to others.

Desired outcome: A formal apology and written request and explaination to Experian to correct my credit score

I just had the same thing happen to me and I am going to submit a complaint with the Oregon Attorney General, Federal Trade Commission, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and get an attorney. It seems they're prospecting based on a soft pull of an auto loan to do a hard pull for a mortgage which I do not want at this time. We have had know fiduciary relationships at all in the past and I never authorized a credit app.

Quicken Loans Home mortgage

I recently in the escrow buying a new home and Quicken Loan/Rocket mortgage putting us in a miserable place by delaying appraisal process. They did not meet the deadline and almost caused our selling canceling our contract losing a future home. We have do so a lot of extra works to make it up to the seller. They also charge unreasonable expensive amount for ordering appraisal report compare with other lenders. The amount you pay is for premium, but service you will get is pretty crappy. It is definitely not "Quick" and Loan. Horrible experience.

Quicken Loans Approval process or lack thereof

Name is Ed Sople [protected]@aol.com. I went through a process where everything was acceptable. I have an exceptional payment history. Rep proceeded I sent all docs to her and told her upfront that my stubs didn't line up due to Covid 19 furlough. She said no problem a letter from my employer explaining that would be acceptable. But low and behold that was not true. I even jumped through hoops to correct a minor issue (which cost me money) if I were you I would be careful when dealing with them. A word to me wise

Desired outcome: Open

Quicken Loans A refi 5 years ago

5 years ago I had recommended quicken loans to hundreds of individuals who were in the process of buying homes in my area. And then I went to use the company for a refinance. After taking a half-day off from work to show my home to an appraiser, nothing was happening. I contacted quicken who told me that it was waiting for the appraisal. When I had escorted the appraiser through my home he had given me his business card, so I called him and asked why he had not sent his appraisal to the company. He informed me that my loan officer had told him not to send it in and that they were no longer going to use him. Then my loan officer called me to scheduale a second appraisal which occurred as quickly as possible but which cost me another 1/2 days work. When the new appraisal was delivered, my loan officee called me to tell me that the rate locked in had expired because she ordered the new appraisal and that quicken would not honor the lock I had been given. She write into my account that the rate expired because the first appraisal was never received but never mentioned that she had cancelled it. Having gone to school in michigan I had thought that the company was honest to ist customer but I know know better. Please go with an honest company, not quicken or as it changes its names to avoid its continual frauds, rocket mortgage!

Desired outcome: TRIED TO GET THE DEAL THEY PROMISED
