Beware
I thought the site automatically entered your details into competitions or why else would I pay an annual fee? There is no point to the fee. The competitions can be found by anyone so I assumed it was a way to maximise m6 chances of a win so I paid. I immediately found out I had made a mistake and I still had to manually enter a competition. If anyone else comes up with a way to enter competitions automatically I reckon that would be a better way to go. I asked for a refund and the reply stated I was wrong and asked not to write a bad review in a bad mood. The refund was not mentioned. I would avoid.
Recommendation: Avoid paying for something that is available free, without the extra benefits.
Beware of Competitions Guide: Waste of Time and Privacy Breach
Competitions Guide real shoddy, mate. Got nothin' from them but a bunch of spam calls and emails from randos tryna sell me crap I don't need. Waste of time if you ask me. Don't waste your time fillin' out their forms and givin' them your deets, 'cause all they gonna do is sell it to someone else. And you won't even win nothin'.
Competitions Guide: A Disappointing Money Grab. Don't Fall for It
Imma be real with y'all, I signed up for Competitions Guide thinkin' it was gonna be my big break. Turns out, it's just another way for them to grab your hard-earned cash. Most of the prizes are just raffles that you gotta buy into or spend money on to be eligible. Ain't nobody got time for that. The membership fee ain't even worth it. It's just a big ol' money grab if you ask me. Don't waste your time here, folks. Keep your cash for something worthwhile.
Maximizing My Wins with Competitions Guide: A User's Review
Been usin' Competitions Guide for a few years now and it's great! Signed up for the premium membership within a few months 'cause I was findin' so many good comps to enter. Don't go on every single day, just a few times a week, and usually end up enterin' 10 or so. Yeah, I ain't won no big prize yet, but I've gotten plenty of smaller ones. Got me a weekend away in Gold Coast and even snagged meself a $500 IGA voucher. Love it here and gonna keep comin' back for more chances to win!
Competitions Guide Review: Hidden Costs & Disappointing Experience
So, I stumbled upon Competitions Guide while watching Channel 9 and thought why not give it a try. But boy was I surprised to find out that there was a monthly joining fee! I mean, seriously? They didn't mention this on the TV? And if that wasn't enough, I couldn't even enter any competitions without upgrading to their "Premium" membership.
But oh wait, it gets better. Apparently, even if I upgraded to their premium membership, I still wouldn't be able to enter Vaxxed comps. What a bummer! I joined this thing thinking I'd have so much fun entering different competitions, but now I am quickly deleting and unsubscribing from it.
Honestly, if they couldn't mention the cost involved on the TV, they should have at least been upfront about it before I joined. It's not fair to surprise people with costs after they've already signed up. Overall, I would advise staying away from Competitions Guide unless you're willing to pay for their premium membership. In short - not worth it!
Competitions Guide Review: A Worthwhile Investment for Prize Seekers
I have been using Competitions Guide for a while now and I can confidently say that it is worth the yearly fee. I have won thousands of dollars worth of prizes including visa cards, flight vouchers, toys for the kids and even a new phone. It is so easy to keep track of the competitions that I have entered as well, all I need to do is click the tick and favourite the ones I want to come back to.
I have seen some negative reviews for this website and I do not understand why. Some people complain that they do not receive notifications about the winners of competitions or that they get emails from the companies who have run the competition. However, it is important to recognize that maintaining a website like this takes effort and resources. Why should they offer it for free when they're putting in work?
Competitions Guide weeds out scam competitions, which is very helpful. While it is true that companies who offer competitions might want people to sign up for their newsletters via email, it is not the fault of Competitions Guide. They are simply finding non-scammy competitions and sharing them on their site.
Overall, Competitions Guide is a great resource for anyone who wants to win some cool prizes. Even though there is an annual fee, I truly believe that it is worth it in the long run.
Competitionsguide.com.au Review: A Vague and Poor Quality Platform for Contest Enthusiasts
I'm an average Joe that loves entering competitions and winning freebies. That's why I became a premium member of competitionsguide.com.au for just under $40 a year. I joined in early January 2020 and I have a few things to say about my experience so far.
Firstly, the number of competitions available on the website is impressive. However, many of them require you to fill in your details, including your full date of birth. As a privacy-conscious individual, this is a bit concerning. I don't know what the website owners plan on doing with my personal information, so I hope they're keeping it safe.
Secondly, some competitions don't send a confirmation email after entering. This is frustrating as I don't know if my entry has been received. I am left in the dark wondering if I'm in or out.
Thirdly - and this is probably the biggest issue - there's no transparency when it comes to winners. If I were to win a competition, I wouldn't know how I'd be notified. There are very few competitions that will call or send a letter. Instead, the website expects us to look for the place where each business posts results. It's very time-consuming to keep checking the different websites of the businesses we've entered. That's not very practical, especially if you're entering a lot of competitions.
Since I started using competitionsguide.com.au, I have been getting harassed by scams, robocalls, and marketing calls daily. I have to keep reporting and blocking these calls, which means the website is sharing my contact details with a ridiculous number of third-party companies of questionable quality. My inbox is also clogged up with junk mail daily, which is annoying.
Lastly, there's no functional filter to see what competitions I have entered or not entered. Sometimes, even if I filter the competitions, I get ones that I already entered listed as not entered. Entering twice will disqualify me, and since many contests don't send a confirmation of the entry, it's hard to keep track. Unless I keep a spreadsheet, I won't know which ones I've entered and which ones I haven't.
Competitionsguide.com.au should offer a listing of the winners so that we know it's transparent. It's a vague, poor quality platform that we have to manage ourselves. They even reuse pictures to confuse us even more. Honestly, it's not worth the $40. Save your money for something else.
