I too ordered the free trial. I did receive the pills but could not take then because of medication I am taking. I called to cancel right away. The man said ok he would cancel my order. Only thing is two checks had already been written on my account. One for $49.95 and one for $58.95. I wish I had seen the complaint board before ordering. I spoke with my bank and I can contest the charges so that is what I am going to do. I will make a copy of all the complaints to help my case.

I canceled my order within 2 weeks and they still took money from my checking account without my authorization (2 separate times), over $100.00! I called and spoke to David Beeson who is suppose to be a Manager of some sort, he told me that my money would be refunded the next day... this is more than a week later and I still haven't received my refund! This is nothing but a scam! And now when I try to call, I don't get any answer.

I returned this product that didn't work and i also spoke to David 4 times and he keeps telling me my refund is in the mail and i still have not rec'd it. You never can talk to anyone because all you ever get is a recording.

Help smb, they are ripping off people like me!

I canceled my order within the two weeks time frame and returned their product, my account was charged for $49.95. I have called them several times and all you get is a recording. I have sent two emails to this company and they have not responded to them. This company is a scam and a fraud. Please help before other people like me get duped and scammed.

I received the first shipment which did not work. Canceled it. Then 4-5 months later they send me another shipment which I did not request.

Take money without authorization!

The 2-day slim is the name of the product. you are supposedly given a trial period to see if the product works and if not satisfied they are not suppose to charge you. I canceled in january 2006 and they still debited my account. I had surgery and couldn’t get one of my medications due to this company. when I contacted them in january they stated that they were behind 4 weeks on refunds. well I waited and waited and never got one. I call numerous times and get a recording. I email and don’t get any response. the last human I spoke with was about 2 months ago whom stated a manager was going to be sure my refund check was mailed that day. well here is almost the end of july and still no refund. I thought they went out of business or something due to the lack of response but I still get “spam” email (and I even have a different email from when I originally corresponded to them) from them and see their websites all over the place. if anyone has any additional information besides the phone number [protected] and email below please help. to everyone: please do not buy anything from them! save your money and protect your financial account (s).

I ordered a trial of PermaSlim and decided to keep the bottle. Since then the company has been submitting electronic checks (at least two so far). I contacted them via telephone (message machine only--no one EVER answers the phone!) and via e-mail. They did not respond, but they did process another electronic check and removed another $58.93 from my account. I have contacted my state's attorney general's office for guidance and direction on how to process various complaints against them. I am going to the bank to file a dispute tomorrow, but I have been told that in order to protect myself from further withdrawals, I must close the account. This means I have to expect that these thieves will send me a paper check refund. If anyone would like to contact me regarding their efforts and their success on dealing with the company, OhhhhAlli@aol.com. I am especially interested in knowing if there is a federal office that investigates and handles consumer fraud on the internet. To all those who have been burned by this company, I say do what we can to publicize their dirty methods.

Anyone who has had unauthorized bank charges for products they returned or never received from Momentum Direct need to file complaints with the following organizations. These are agencies that can file criminal charges against these scammers. But it is up to us to take action.

Contacted and spoke to a representative and they stated they would cancel my account and future charges. Never refunded the cancellation and charged for the next month at a higher amount than it was agreed to. Now the phone number is disconnected and I placed a stop pay on future charges which the bank charged me a fee for that. But they cannot guarantee that will stop it if they do not charge the same amount as they were supposed to. Also tried to dispute with the bank and they said since I authorized the first transaction, its not a dispute and there is nothing I can do. Well i am doing something by cancelling my account with my bank making complaints and filing reports everywhere.

Ordered a FREE trial product from momentum direct where it says you only have to pay for shipping. The only method of payment they accept is an electronic check. After I had not received anything for a few weeks I tried to contact the company at [protected]. The phone would ring twice then disconnect. I tried to call several times but still the same thing. Then today I had another electronic check posted to my bank account with the same check number as the one that I had used to pay for the shipping. It was from momentum direct for 49.95. I did not authorize any such payment and was very upset, especially since I never received anything from them. The same number I had tried to call before was on the check. I tried to call it again, and still the same thing as before. I gave it another try and a women answered. I told her my problem and she gave me another number to call [protected]. Only no matter how many times you call all you get is an answering machine. I then tried to call the other number back to talk to that women again but the number no longer worked and all I got was a disconnected tone. Also their email address is home@momentumdirect.net, but don't expect to get an answer. Their website is www.momentumdirect.net. And their mailing address is:

So I had to close my bank account. And right before Christmas too. So beware and if you are having the same problem with this company then call you bank right away and file a forgery claim and they will block your account and you will have to open a new one. Also file as many complaints about this company that you can. We need to put a stop to this company.

I, like the others who have complaints, sent for the free trial then have been charged 49.95 and 58.93. I have never received any product. I called the number and talked to someone who said they would direct my complaint to the "home office" and I would receive a refund.

After reading these other complaint I realize this will never happen. I can't believe I was this stupid. In this day and time I should more careful. I just hope we can stop this company before they get away with more people's money.

Momentum Direct is a fraudulent company who steal people's money while claiming to have a diet product that will allow you to lose a substantial amount of weight in 2 days. They take money from your checking account without your knowledge or consent and you never receive anything from them. You cannot contact them by phone because you cannot get through and they do not reply to your e-mails they simply ignore them.

Because of Momentum Direct I have incurred $192 in insufficient funds fees because they randomly pulled money out of my checking account and other things bounced causing me to incur the fees.

Momentum Direct also took (stole) money from my checking account without my knowledge or consent and I NEVER even received their product.

Momentum Direct is a bogus company. They are thieves and frauds. They should be put out of business before more innocent people trying to lose weight get RIPPED OFF!

The very same thing happened to me. I ordered the free trial and was supposed to only pay shipping. I did so with my debit card. Then about 6 weeks later, Momentum submitted an electronic check for $49.95 to my bank and got that money by fraud and now I noticed that they just submitted yet another electronic check for $58.93. I called and got my Debit card cancelled and a new one issued to me. I believe this will stop the charges since they did not have my bank account number or routing number. They only had my debit card/VISA number. I made complaints to the Texas Attorney General's office since this is where they are based out of but heard nothing back. I too only get a message when I call and have written them but have heard nothing.

This is truly a huge problem and something should be able to be done with this company.

They got me too! I had to shut down my checking account and open a new one. They sent me 1 two ounce bottle, which did not work. They proceeded to take 49.95 out of my account for 6 months! This was for 1 two ounce bottle. My bank finally caught it. When I called them to cancel, they sent me another bottle, making it two bottles in 6 months. I sent it back. They will not send me back my money or take calls. Please somebody sue them!

I am fired up they took money from my account after I cancelled with in the trial period time now I also have to open up a new bank account which is a pain since my husband gets direct deposit in this account yes these people need to be stopped. I tried several ways to contact them also but no luck they never get back to you. This just sucks how they can just take your money.

Direct Momentum. Advertising is false...I only agreed to the free trial offer and not the $117.00 they are taking from my account on a monthly basis. I have called and spoke to someone and advise them to cancel and I returned the product and no refund received in the mail and they are still taken money out of my account. I have to close my bank account and get a new bank account.

I ordered and agreed to pay the $4.95 shipping and handling for the 2-Day slim Down product. I now have been charged an additional $49.95 and $58.83 using the bank account routing number I gave them. Now I can't get them to return the funds to my account even though I sent the original product back and never received the second product. I spoken to people at the company several times who said they would send a refund check in the mail. Is there any help available to me? I don't want to just complain to others like me, I want to know if there is anything I can do to get help. I've filed complaints with the Better Business bureau and the Federal Trade Commission. My bank says close the account is all they can do to help (I'm VERY disappointed in Bank of America).

I ordered this product on a trial basis in December 2006. I paid $4.74 for the shipping. When I received the product and the price of the product, I decided that I would just simply return the product. I sent them an 3-mail notifying them of my intentions. I sent the product back to them unopened.

Then, on December 22, 2006 they presented a check draft to my bank for $49.95. My bank paid it. I called them but the bank said they could not do anything. I called Momentum Direct and notified them of the problem and they stated I should receive a refund in two weeks.

Then, on January 12, 2006 they presented a check draft to my bank for $58.93 and the bank paid it. I called Momentum Direct and they said they never got the cancellation, however they never shipped any more product. Now they said I would get a refund in two weeks.

The Bank advised me to close the account.

This Momentum Direct Company is bad for the internet. I have never had a problem before.

Robert and Chris Jones are the owner's names. They ripped me off the same way. Cancelling my account is a huge pain but I have no choice. These people need to have their names posted everywhere also so that they are not only named by their company or many crappy names. I will post and blog to kingdom come to let everyone I possibly can what criminals they are.

I also tried the free trial and only gave them my debit card number and they got all my info so how they got my routing number and my account number i don't know and i also had to cancel my account so if any one just gave them your debit number they can get your bank account number and your routing number from that and they are using the same check number and the only thing the bank says is to close your account they charged my account 4.95 for s&h and 49.95 /58.93 /58.93 and there still trying to kee taking money from my account the bank told me to close my account because it you just put a stop payment they can just change the amount and take a different amount out of your bank account and there nothing you can do but close your account so i suggest that you close your account till we all get our money back we can not let get away with this anymore we all need to do as much as we can for all of us we all want our money back.

The exact same thing happened to me as happened to Mary Anne Maes! I ordered diet product (that did not work) and agreed to pay ONLY the shipping charge. They then continued to charge the acct. 49.95 and 58.83. It was my mom's acct. that I used (she authorized the one time shipping charge). This company is BAD! THEY ARE THIEVES! GOD WILL BRING HIS WRATH DOWN ON THEM SOMEDAY! And they deserve everything they get! They will be cursed!

I notified momentum that I did not want to keep the product after having it a few days and that I was returning it and not to send me anymore

They not only charged me for the trial-- but debited my account again. When I called customer service, I was told I would get a refund in 8-10 weeks. That was in October.

The second payment was taken out Nov 11th--and have not received a refund on it either.

I emailed them several times and got no response. I did not want to call if I didn't have to because the last time i did the person could hardly speak English--or could not understand English.

I tried to call their customer service # [protected] and I am getting an out of service message.

Has anyone ever gotten their money back--or have they closed the business?

I told this company I did NOT want their product! It does NOT work and even when a customer tells Momentum Direct not to send anything else and they do not have authorization to charge my account... they did it any way.

Companies like these should be "POPPED" to millions of dollars and they either pay or go to prison for 10 + years!

This company is a JOKE and a complete RIP OFF!

I want my money that this company has STOLEN from ME!

This company is a scam! I cancelled my order in time but my account was charged $49.95 anyway. I called them and spoke with Daryn, he didn't give me my cancellation number but said that I would get my money back as soon as they get their product back. I'm going to the post office right now but it's already Feb.3d, and my my account was charged Jan.8th, this means that it will be charged again on Feb.8th. There is no way the product will get there in time, therefore they will take money from my account again! I want to close my account but this way I won't get my $ 50 back for the first "order". We have to stop them! I am going to report them, these people have to go to jail, they are thieves.

Help! Someone needs to investigate this company. They offer a free trial of weight loss pills from the Amazon Diet. You pay the Shipping. Here is the catch, they starting send you a bottle every month and taking money from your account. I returned the unopened product immediately and sent notice to the company. They still charged me and didn't even send the bottle. I do Not want their business. Beware. Can you get your money back?

Now I had no idea this site existed and that there were so many complaints about this company, and so I stupidly went ahead and ordered the free trial for this product. I was charged yesterday 49.95 and was already charged 4.95 a while ago. I had indeed received the free trial bottle at my own house, but I had only kept it for 2 DAYS before I received this 49.95 charge that overdrew my account (which adds an extra 35 dollar charge at Bank of America). This pisses me off to no extent.

Here's how they did it. The first day I called about the free trial having only been charged 4.75. An Indian man answered and canceled my account for me. Immediately after this conversation, my bank account was charged 49.95. Today I called to ask about this and the Indian man answered again. He told me now that I had TWO accounts open and only ONE had been canceled.

THIS COMPANY MADE UP AN ACCOUNT UNDER MY NAME WITH THE PREVIOUS START DATE AND CHARGED IT TO GET AROUND THE CANCELLATION!

That is how it happened and it is angering me. This is the letter I wrote to the liars...:

Hello, Momentum Direct. My name is Ben Walters and my phone number is ------------------ (taken out for I do not know you people =)). Feel free to forward this email to your supervisors until it reaches the highest rung on the ladder - the higher up, the more chance of this getting either resolved or ignored. I received a bottle of pills 3 days ago and returned it immediately. You have not gotten it back yet, apparently. I called your current phone number and a very timid Indian man told me I only had one account open and that it would be canceled with my consent. I believed him, he "canceled my account", then we let each other go. I was charged yesterday, immediately after talking with this man, $49.95. I called today after finding out that this fraudulent charge had overdrawn my account, merging with the 35 dollar bank-overdraw fee. A timid, Indian man answered again. I gave him my information and asked him why I was charged. He told me this time that I had TWO accounts open, that only one was canceled, and that the OTHER account than the one I called about was the one that was charged. This is undoubtedly a lie, since I would VERY SPECIFICALLY remember making another electronic check transaction (since I only use my debit card number aside from that ONE purchase of $4.95 from you) and I only have ONE shipping/handling fee on record.

Your company has a nasty reputation on every complaint board I've visited and I'm not looking to cause any trouble, but I'm looking for an immediate refund from this fraudulent problem and for my original/any-made-up-accounts to be immediately closed and refunded any charges put on them. If you refuse or lie about giving me back my money within a proper time, I will personally have your company sued for fraudulent activity by the law firm I work with and I will call upon my fellow complaint-board members as witnesses. I called my bank and have made a new account with it, which you will never get the chance to touch, and have transferred my now-NEGATIVE balance to my other account, which will begin to recuperate from the damage you caused. My bank told me that a week is the maximum amount of time a refund should take, so please try to have this refund processed quickly to avoid any more money loss on your part and on mine.

Momentum has been spamming me to the tune of 77 e-mails in 4 days. I got mad and decided to do some research on this company. They are using @compubux.com to send the spamming e-mails. Their domain name is provided by www.domaindiscover.com. They are enabled to spam via a company called www.1shoppingcart.com. If you are being spammed, you will need to forward the spam to three locations:
abuse@domaindiscover.com
abuse@1shoppingcart.com
spam@uce.gov (this one is to the Federal Trade Commission).

Also, you will need to call Domaindiscover.com and 1shoppingcart.com and have them pull the e-mails you forwarded. You may reach them by phone at: DomainDiscover.com [protected], 1shoppingcart.com [protected] and the Federal Trade Commission has an online complaint form you can fill out, especially if you have been fraudulently billed. You may be required to provide bank statements supporting your claim.

This company has really ticked me off and I am determined to shut them DOWN!

I was scammed also. I sent for the trial offer, of $9.95 , like a dummy I gave them my ck routing number and they have taken money out of my account to $ 237.00 I called them and told them that I did not receive the product, and did not want it, and to send my money back, they then sent product, that i sent back registered mail, and still no money. I have talked to an indian man several times, and my money has always been in the mail.{ha}. I hope someone can do something about this. My husband is going to the police now, to see what can be done.

Same thing happened to me. I never received product but they take charges out of my account. I did reach somebody who said they will cancel order but unable to reach anyone concerning getting my money back.

We will see what happens but it is obvious that this is a dirty company to make dealings with...

I cannot even get anyone to answer the phones, they've already taken $217 from me. I had no clue until I received my bank statements. I was informed I would receive a refund, when they telephone # was still operational. There is another #, but the hours are 9-2 Mon.-Fri., while I am working. I have tried to call, but no human ever actually answers the phone. I have left many messages, and sent over 100 e-mails.

This Company is a SERIOUS RIP OFF! I replied after a week of having the product that it wasn't for me at all and I am still getting money taken out of my account for it!
