On January 14, 2016 I was at Shoney's in Hopewell, Va.. I walked into the store at 1:20 pm for lunch. There was no line and no one waiting on visiting coming into the restaurant. We had never frequented a Shoney's until we moved. Upon a number of occasions we went for dinner and was pleased with the menu, staff and service, but the food it's self was always just luke warm . My husband resolved it by taking from the bottom of the pan, but who wants to dig through food. Finally even that didn't work. Sometimes my meal is made up of just salad. Aren't these places suppose to be checked ? Don't know where else to contact. Thank you.
hot bar buffet
I stopped to eat dinner at Shoneys in Flatwoods WV on november 25, 2015.They were serving breakfast on the food bar.I got the hot bar buffet.When I began to the food was not hot, when the waitress stopped and ask how everything was I told her the food was not hot she began to make excuse the bar was just started. I asked her if it was a hot bar or warm bar got no help.I go to pay my bill, I was asked how everything was.I told him the food was not hot he said im sorry that will be fifteen dollars.I told him I would not be back!
they refused to provide another hot cake
We were in Shoney’s last weeks. My husband ordered hot fudge cake. But when the waitress brought it, the cake was warm. And after several minutes it was already cold and tasteless. My husband asked to change the cake, but the waitress told that the chief wouldn’t heat another cake. He had a lot of other orders and didn’t have time for another cake. It was the worst services and attitude. So, don’t visit this place.

I won’t advise anyone to use the services www.shoneys.com. We visited this place, but our experience was really bad. The staff was unprofessional and misbehaved. I waited for my husband outside, while he paid for the services. The lady went out and asked me if she could help me. I told “no” and explained that I waited for my husband. After that she went inside and pointed to me and told something to other people. Immediately after that the guy went out and warned me that he would call to the police if stole something. Really incompetent staff.

Shoneys of Slidell is gross, they are infested with roaches, they cross contaminate and refuse to throw away things such as creamers, napkins, or anything that the previous guests have use, they just give it to the next tables, if the managers find one unused creamer that a server threw away doing to them being nasty, the managers call a the servers to the back, dump out the whole slop of trash onto the floor and make them dig in all that mess to pull out creamers and anything that wasn't opened, knowing its cross contamination.I have witnessed servers to drop food and put it right back on the plates, and serve it.This Shoneys is awful the servers were up to their ankles in water for a whole month, due to busted pipes, they were too cheap to get a professional to fix it, so they patched at it themselves, the dining from carpet was soaked, and the smell from the stale water was stomach turning. The Board of Health will surely shut this place down if only they knew what was going on behind those doors. The two female managers are horrible and very rude, I don't see how they were given the position
It is extremely hot in restaurant. Almost 90 outside. Server said air has not been working for several days. No fans either . All customers very uncomfortable. Needs fixed.
I went to shoneys n manning sc and saw that they have a crackhead lady named carmen working there and quite obviously they don't require a drug test.I was appalled that they would even allow a drug addict work in their facility.Looks can be deceiving but little do they know she is bad news
manager sleeps with employees and does drugs on sight
The manager, Justin Stiles, of the Shoneys in Branson sleeps with employees, 1 was 17, gets away with it because their corporate office does nothing about it. He manipulates these employees with his lies and lures them to stay late and sleep with him in the breakroom or on the booths. This has to be against at least their corporate policy and has to violate the Health Code for Branson. Every customer should be made aware that he has had sex on multiple booths in the restaurant and allows customers to use them without notice. Shame on Shoneys for allowing this type of behavior from a manager.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I am an employee I started working at shoney's 10/02/2023 as of today 10/20/2023 I have yet to receive a paycheck... I was told by the GM that I am a server that to do not get a paycheck. I have servers for over 20 yrs and have never not received a paycheck.

That ther is a abandoned store in Laurel ,Ms that is become a hang out for homeless, and drug addicts that has really made a dangerous place for the community. The Restaurants address is 312 16th Ave ,Laurel,Ms 39440. I would really like something to be done about it.

The "facts" stated by amazing101 are not true at all. They are all lies. I won't give his real name and it is apparently he is too much of a coward to give his real name. But the person who posted as amazing101 was recently terminated from Shoneys restaurant. Won't go into details as to why.

The waitress was very nice with a smile very important when serving your customer and i thank her. But the buffet bar was very sorry, cold, meat dried up the little was left ask was going to put hot food on buffet say no that it. Was not a variety of food to choose from.Whn i left i was very disappointed and was not please at all.And i will not be back.

no strongly disagree, because when you pay your money and the cost u expected to get what u pay for it. and it's 4:00p.m.food shall still be present to service not looking like it ready to throw away. HAVE A BLESS DAY!
awful experience
We dined at your Lewisburg location last thursday.The food was good, but the conditions were very unsanitary and harmful.We found several dirty dishes, one with dried mashed potatoes around the outer rim. But the fact they were stripping up old carpet, around the food bar and everyone eating was unexceptable! We were directed to a side room where a musty smell of mildew was noticable.I asked the waitress what the smell was, she said glue? Part of the carpet had been removed from that room.But when i went to the food bar, i saw what was going on, there were men there ripping up the old carpet ! My son in law is a professional carpet installer and he says there is enough filth and allergens under old carpets to kill you .Well i have COPD and within, minutes i was coughing and getting choked up.My 18 year old daughter has asthma and ended up in the rest room throwing up, she got choked up pretty bad. We both have had to go the doctor since then. I am 58 years old and i have never been exposed to conditions like this in my life in a public restaurant ! I think Shoney's should have been closed down for this kind of renovation. Our bill was $65.00, which i do not think we should have had to pay, under these circumstances.
I am deathly allergic to cooked peppers. Yet shoneys see it right it added it to most there sides. And did nothing to help me out.
They refuse to cook up green beans or corn without pepper.
It be nice to have more choices than potatoes and mac and cheese when you're having a meal.
On the note this line is just to make the complaint board happy..
You saw the conditions. You decided to stay there and eat. You feel you shouldn't have to pay for your meal. You are a fine example of you can't fix stupid.

maybe i should have clarified for the pre-schoolers that joined us here. from the demeanor of the above complaint, the person posting doesnt think they should have to pay for the services with the conditions of where they were. yes, this is a complaint site, but if you want it fixed, instead of posting here, where they wont see it (if they do have anyone that would monitor this, they would have responded already). i highly doubt that a smaller franchise such as shoneys is going to monitor this.
for any correction or reimbursment, the restraunt or their corporate should be contacted first. first the store then corporate...in that order. then, if they are unwilling to do anything, then by all means, post it here.
but, with what has been said, you can read into it that they havent even bothered bringing it up to management at all.
but, im assuming you know "what most businesses do". so, i guess we are all out of our league here. time to pack 'er up boys, sundaytimes10 seems to have the internet all under control
