Headline Solar I'm sorry to hear about your experience with Headline Solar

I'm sorry to hear about your experience with Headline Solar. It seems like you've had a frustrating time dealing with them. I understand that you visited their office in Schaumburg and noticed that there were only two people working there, an administrative representative and someone else. The person you spoke to assured you that they would send you rebate checks totaling $1500, which were supposed to be due to you since January. It's disappointing that this issue has been ongoing for so long. It's worth mentioning that Headline Solar also has offices in another location. Based on your dissatisfaction, it seems like you would advise others to steer clear of this company. Additionally, you mentioned that you plan on filing a complaint with a specific organization in your area.

Headline Solar My experience with Headline Solar is similar to ***, who also had their system installed in December

My experience with Headline Solar is similar to ***, who also had their system installed in December . Just like them, I found Headline Solar to be unprofessional. They lied about the costs, damaged my siding during the installation, and were slow to respond to my inquiries. On top of that, they failed to file the necessary paperwork for my rebate through the *** Shines Program with the State of ***. I've been trying to get a hold of them all summer, but it wasn't until recently that I received notice from the *** that the program has run out of funds. This means I'm out of $9,000! Looking at other complaints filed with the ComplaintsBoard.com, it seems like my experience wasn't the worst, but it was still pretty bad. I wouldn't be surprised if Headline Solar has gone out of business by now, but if they're still around, I strongly advise staying away. Save yourself the trouble and write your own 1-star review in the future.

Headline Solar I couldn't give the company 1 star becuz they helped to fix damages they caused

I couldn't give the company 1 star becuz they helped to fix damages they caused. But, they still messed up my drywall cuz of bad installation, and their first year of production was only 2/3 of what I was told. I get being 10% off here or there, but 33%? When I asked them to stick to their quote, I got emails from their CEO that were rude. There are good people there, but don't expect things to improve when you go up the chain. Be ready to pay more than what they say. If you ask them about it, they'll just tell you to read the fine print. Don't expect much help.

Headline Solar So, here's the deal

So, here's the deal. Today, I found out something pretty interesting. ComEd sent me an email saying they denied my net metering application. And get this, it's not the first time they've done it. Last time, I relied on Headline Solar to fix it for me. But this time, I decided to take matters into my own hands and called ComEd myself. You see, I got my solar panels installed back in March , and now it's February 26. Turns out, way back on January 17 (two months before my panels were even installed), ComEd sent a message to Headline Solar. They told them that the system they planned to install on my house was too big for net metering, and they should downsize it. Now, let me break it down for those who don't know how reimbursement works. If you're reimbursed under net metering, you get paid the full retail value for the electricity you contribute to the grid. But if you're on a POG Rider (like me), you only get reimbursed at the wholesale price, which is way lower. And guess what? Headline Solar never bothered to respond to that message about my system being too big. They just went ahead and installed it anyway. Why? Well, it's pretty obvious. They knew they would make less money if they downsized my system. Sneaky, right? And that's not the only problem I've had with them. They never answer messages unless you bug them like crazy. Seriously, don't even think about going with Headline Solar. Trust me, you'll regret it, just like I do.

Headline Solar I hired Headline Solar in March 2022

I hired Headline Solar in March 2022. The panels were installed on 29 March but there was an inverter that was back ordered. I was told that they would be out the following week to install both inverters. For months I have been getting the run around. Finally installation was set up for 18 August, however I got a text message on that day stating that due to unforeseen circumstances they had to cancel. I have tried calling multiple times to reschedule the install but there has been no answer and no voicemail picks up. It has been over 5 months and I still have no working solar panels and no resolution in sight.

Headline Solar I signed a contract with Headline Solar to install solar panels on my roof in September

I signed a contract with Headline Solar to install solar panels on my roof in September . They installed solar panels on October 5, but didn't connect to the grid 'cause it needed inspection from the Village of Oak Lawn authorities. So, I contacted the Village of Oak Lawn, but they said Headline Solar never reached out to 'em 'bout the inspection. I emailed 'em a bunch of times, but the company never responded. It's been six months already, but Headline Solar never hooked up the panels to the grid, and the panels ain't generating electricity. Meanwhile, the credit union keeps sending bills, and I've been payin' 'em for a service I ain't gettin'.

Headline Solar I just got solar panels on my house

I just got solar panels on my house. They said they'd remove the trees blocking the panels, but it hasn't happened yet. It's been since July. They also promised to pay for 6 months of electricity since I'm a new customer, but I haven't received anything. I had to pay for my loan and electricity for 2 months because of the trees. Comed, the electric company, just started using the panels after months. I want the trees gone like they said and the new customer incentive. I've been trying to email them, but no response.

Headline Solar I signed a contract with Headline Solar on 03/29/2022

I signed a contract with Headline Solar on 03/29/2022. They told me it would take 90 days for the solar panel installation to be completed. However, it has been almost 6 months now (around 165 days) and they still haven't installed it. Despite this, they have started charging me for it. I'm already paying my electric bill and now I have to pay for the solar panel as well. I called them to inquire about the installation date, but they couldn't provide me with a clear answer. So, I requested to cancel the contract, but they immediately informed me that they had already ordered the materials and I would have to cover the cost. This is not fair! I should have the right to cancel the contract without any penalties. I want to terminate my agreement with this company as soon as possible. They haven't installed anything, yet they have charged me three times and only sent me a refund for two months. They assured me that the installation would be done before the next payment date, but they broke their promise. They have broken their promises multiple times already! I kindly request that they cancel my contract and refund my money.

Headline Solar On 9/23, I received an offer for solar panels from *** Alfra at Headline Solar

On 9/23, I received an offer for solar panels from *** Alfra at Headline Solar. I informed him that I didn't qualify for a tax refund, but he assured me that they would give me *** dollars if I got the solar panels. I agreed to the offer and had a conversation with a lady on a recorded line regarding the tax refund. When it came to discussing the refund, I handed the phone back to *** Alfra, who confirmed that they would give me *** dollars. I made it clear that I wanted everything in writing, and he promised to bring the contract and the *** dollar check on the day of panel installation. The panels were installed, but *** Alfra never showed up and stopped answering his phone. Frustrated, I reached out to *** at Headline Solar to complain. She informed me that they were not responsible for *** Alfra's actions as he didn't work for them. I agreed to the solar panels because I needed the money for house repairs, and now I want my *** dollars.

Headline Solar I signed a contract with this company in late 2019

I signed a contract with this company in late 2019. The panels were installed on February. That's when the nightmare started, for months they dragged their feet with net metering and gave me an excuse after an excuse. After a few months complaining one of their employees stated they will cover my cost of the loan until the issue was fixed with the metering. That lasted about two months when the checks stopped coming in and more excuses. All this was last June, since then i have been ignored, emails not responded too without a resolution. Three months ago they finally responded that they fixed the issue and everything is fine now. Since the day they claimed it's fixed i have received 3 *** bills and none of them have been even close to same numbers to what system has produced and what *** billed me. Again tried contacting them via phone and email without as much as a response. This company needs to be held accountable and i know others have same issues as me.

Headline Solar In November , I hired Headline Solar to put solar panels on my roof and garage

In November , I hired Headline Solar to put solar panels on my roof and garage. They came and checked my property and put the panels in December. After that, I didn't hear from them about what to do next. I reached out to them and they said a team would come that week to dig up my backyard for the underground wiring. But they didn't show up. I contacted them again and we rescheduled. The following week, they dug up the yard and left without saying anything. I reached out again to ask about the next step and they said they would send a team to do the wiring as planned. Then they told me they couldn't finish the job until a new circuit breaker was installed, but they didn't know when that would happen. I'm financing this project and I've already made a payment, but the job isn't done yet. I need assistance, please.

Headline Solar I signed a contract with headline around the 1st of march to have a solar power system installed at my property

I signed a contract with headline around the 1st of march to have a solar power system installed at my property. the loan for the system closed on 3/19 for $69,575.00 They received the first half of the funds to start the project right after the loan closed. By June I had been given the run around by numerous different employees of Headline without anyone actually showing up and doing any work towards the installation. I checked in with the county about the permit and found they were not bothering to supply the county with supporting documents that were requested. I called and emailed Headline about this and after a few more months they finally submitted the requested documents. Its now October and for the last 4 months no one at Headline will answer the phone, return a call, or respond to an email. I've made 4 payments on the loan and have not received any reimbursement for those as is specified in the contract. I still have no parts of the system delivered or installed.

Headline Solar In March-April 2022, I signed up for a solar panel system from Headline Solar

In March-April 2022, I signed up for a solar panel system from Headline Solar. By May 2022, a person came to my house to make plans, completed the HOA paperwork, and added the loan to my credit report, even though the system wasn't installed yet. In June 2022, I got approval from the HOA and let the company know. They emailed me back saying they were waiting for permit approval. That was the last time they communicated with me. I've been trying to email Headline Solar because their phone lines are never answered, just to ask for an update. It's now August 2022, and there's been no installation, no communication, and my HOA letter is about to expire. I tried to cancel with the loan company, but they said they already paid Headline Solar for the project. If I want to cancel, I have to pay the loan or the company has to pay them back. I told them I'm worried because I can't reach the company at all. The only person I can reach is the one who sold me on the project.

Headline Solar This all started on January 27, 2022

This all started on January 27, 2022. The cost of my solar system be $36,632. They promised me a generator and electrical hookup to switch between my solar and generator. According to my paperwork, it should have been done in 30 to 120 days. But, I still don't have a working solar system. I can't get in touch with the owner or CEO of the company, ***, no matter what I try. I've been talking to a lady from their company, and she's been passing on my complaints to him. But it seems like he's not responding to her either. I've reported them to the ***, but no response yet. I've also reported them to my finance company, EnerBANK USA. As far as I know, there's an issue with the electrical on my roof. Their electrician went on vacation in early June and I haven't heard from him since. I want them to pay for the generator and the electrical system needed for it. I also want them to reimburse me for all my electrical bills. And personally, I think they should cover the loan itself. The stress, pain, and suffering I've had to endure to get this done is just too much. I've reported them to so many people, and they owe me. The fact that *** won't call me back despite leaving him countless messages is unacceptable. He needs to be held accountable for his lack of action.

Headline Solar We've had these solar panels from Headline Solar for almost a year and it's been a NIGHTMARE

We've had these solar panels from Headline Solar for almost a year and it's been a NIGHTMARE. The agent that sold us the unit (***) told us our payment would be $70-$90 a month, but we've been paying $148/month for solar panels that do NOT work. Our solar panels were installed November , but we did NOT get permission to operate until February 2022. I had to keep calling Headline Solar (***) and this process took 2 months to get fixed. Over the next few months, I saw my electric bill continue to increase. Before the solar panels, our light bill was less than $100/month. Now it's over $130/month on top of the monthly payments for the solar panels that do NOT work! We called Headline Solar in August and spoke with ***, and she stated the *** RS was not working. They knew for months but didn't contact their customers. They kept telling us that they're waiting on Generac to fix the issue. I asked what do we do in the meantime, and they had no answer! Three months later, and after several calls to Headline Solar and Generac, we still don't have an answer and continue to get an increasing light bill and monthly payments for solar panels that are not working. I've been calling Headline Solar in general for two straight weeks, but no one returns my calls or the several emails that have been sent! This has been a nightmare, and we need a solution to being misled by this company!

Headline Solar We contracted with Headline Solar in Oct 2021

We contracted with Headline Solar in Oct 2021. After reconfiguration in Dec 2021, the electrician came out to put in more backup batteries. He worked all day getting the Generac cabinet installed. He did not get everything finished and was supposed to come back the next day, but he quit. Headline contracted with another firm to come and work on getting the inverter finished. It was not completed, so Headline sent someone else out and he worked remotely with the lead, but could not bring the system up. Next, we got someone else. He spoke very little English, so another installer came to translate. We thought he got it working, but we had a power failure and the system did not come on. I called Generac and they gave me the names of several local companies that were Generac approved. Array of Solar came out at no charge and evaluated the whole system. There are 4 things that need to be done to make the system work properly. AOS sent a quote to Headline to fix our issues. The CEO of Headline sent out an email approving the work. Finance has approved it but has to release the initial payment to AOS. So here we sit again. There is also a warranty issue. The snaps on the solar panels are defective. Generac sent 17 replacements, wanting Headline to replace them. Of course, that has not happened either. Someone quoted a warranty price to fix as well. Oh, and by the way, we have paid for the system out of pocket. We are 79 years old and we will never get a return on our investment. We lived through the winter of 2021 in ***, with no power for 4 days and below freezing temps. Our hot water froze, burst, and flooded the master bath. That is why we wanted a backup system that works. All they need to do is send AOS the first payment to get this going. It is less than $*** to get it going. The other 50% will be invoiced when it is completed. Headline needs to ship the good snaps to AOS as well.

Headline Solar I signed an agreement on 4/11/22 for a solar package

I signed an agreement on 4/11/22 for a solar package. The salesman promised me 45 solar panels, a backup battery, a nest thermostat, and insulation for $75000. He also said the installation would be done in *** days and I wouldn't have to make a payment until 15 days after installation. I stayed in touch with the salesman throughout the process as he told me to contact him directly if there were any issues.

Around June 29th, I received a text from the salesman saying that the final design was emailed to me for approval. When I checked my email, I saw that it was an updated contract for 40 panels and nothing else, still for the same amount of money. I texted the salesman back and told him I wouldn't sign anything until we talked because it was a new contract. We had a conversation, and I told him I wanted a resolution after the 4th of July weekend, or else I would cancel the contract since the new contract voided the original. After that phone call, he stopped answering my calls and texts.

That's when I decided to call Headline Solar directly and requested a cancellation due to the issues I mentioned. I had already received many apologies from the salesman before. I was in contact with customer support, specifically "Sienna Meane," multiple times regarding the cancellation. I also called Mosaic Solar Financing about the cancellation, but *** never had an answer for me or even spoke to anyone else because her hands were tied.

After several phone calls with *** and never getting a response back from Headline Solar, I finally received an email 5 weeks after my initial cancellation contact. The email acknowledged that they were aware of my frustration with the extended installation process. However, I had called to cancel 5 weeks prior, and now Mosaic Solar Financing wants me to start paying the loan without anything being installed or the installation process even starting. All I want is a confirmation of the cancellation and for any money already paid to them by Mosaic Solar to be returned and taken off my credit.

Headline Solar We contacted Headline Solar in April 2022 'bout solar panels

We contacted Headline Solar in April 2022 'bout solar panels. We told 'em 'bout our tile roof 'n made sure they could install on tile 'cause other companies couldn't do it. They said it wouldn't be a problem. We signed our contract in April 'n had our site inspection in May. All the pre-work was done 'n our salesperson was responsive through summer. On July 13, they said they'd come prep for the install that'd start the next day. They didn't ask if that day worked for us, but we were happy to finally move forward. But the installation didn't happen. When we asked why, they said they didn't know it was a tile roof 'n needed to order different brackets, even though we told 'em 'n they sent an inspector. Then, they billed us for the panels startin' August 6. We told 'em we hadn't gotten the panels 'n Headline agreed to make the payments 'til they were installed. After askin' our salesperson multiple times, we finally got reimbursed for August. After that, we heard nothin' 'n money was taken from our account again in September. We contacted 'em again 'n they said they'd reimburse it. They called on Sept. 20 to say they'd install on Sept. 30. We had questions but never heard back. We called on Sept. 27 'n they said they wanted to make sure they got the parts on Wednesday's truck before callin' back. They also said they'd follow up on reimbursement. Thursday, they said the part didn't come in, but it should by end of day Friday. But it didn't come in. Since then, we've called 'n emailed 'bout reimbursement 'n install. No one answers the phone, no one returns calls, 'n no one returns emails. We tried to understand, but this lack of transparency 'n communication ain't acceptable. This is a $70,000 investment 'n we can't get 'em to respond.

Headline Solar So me and my wife signed paper to get solar panels installed on January 14

So me and my wife signed paper to get solar panels installed on January 14. They told us that it would take 3 moths for the install date. They called me and said that the Install date will be March 31st. They came and said that there was something wrong with the panels set and they couldn’t do it. They have been gave me the run around for a while they didn’t finish what was supposed to be a two day install till the week of April 20th... theycame several times trying to finish the job. We had inspection wth the village on the 27 th and he failed us. The list of what the inspector wanted done didn’t get done until June 5th ... than we got reinspected(June 23rd) again and failed again because they didn’t do what the inspector specified. I’m tired of calling or text messaging just to get my job done. It now going to be 7 months since I started the process. I’m tired getting ignored and begging them to come finish. We took out a 33000 dollar loan for this.
