So, I was lookin' for some stuff for my crib and I checked out a bunch of different websites. Ended up buyin' somethin' from this one site called NationalHomeStore.com. But then I saw a charge on my PayPal that I didn't recognize from some other site. Turns out it was fraud! But PayPal had my back and got me a refund. So, props to NationalHomeStore.com for not bein' the ones who scammed me, but also props to PayPal for handlin' it like a boss.

I ain't gonna lie, NationalHomeStore.com ain't no good. They be fakin' like they got their own business, but really they just orderin' stuff off Amazon and sendin' it to you. I ordered some stuff from them and it came in different packages from Amazon, and they even sent me the wrong colors and quantities. I tried to reach out to them to fix it, but they ain't respondin' at all. Don't waste your time or money with this fake company.

So, we decided to buy a twin bunk bed from NationalHomeStore.com. The design of the bed is pretty good, but the quality of the wood we received was terrible! They used the lowest quality wood, then supposedly planed it but no sanding was done like they said it would. I've made a bed from scratch out of big box store lumber and mine puts this bed to shame. For those of you needing instructions, this came with none and there is minimal info on the website. I paid nearly 1k for this bed and expected a much nicer finished wood than received. I will be returning this immediately!

My experience with NationalHomeStore.com was not good at all. I was searching for a twin XL bunk bed and found custom-made units that looked good. However, I would advise anyone to avoid these made-from-lumber products. They are clunky and rarely meet your expectations. The reason builder-grade lumber is used is that it is cheaper than using furniture-grade wood like poplar, maple, walnut, or even finish-grade plywood. This isn't necessarily a bad thing if all of the pieces are run through a planer to achieve any semblance of an edge or finish. Unfortunately, this place didn't do that.

The bed arrived with significant damage, including deep gouges, scrapes, impact marks, chunks of wood missing, punctures, and dents. This was not the fault of UPS, as they wrapped the bed in a single layer of cardboard with all of the wood pieces completely loose. The only thing holding them in place was the flimsy box. There should have been high-density cardboard angle pieces used throughout and several layers of cardboard used to provide adequate protection, especially when the main box weighed well over 100lbs and was travelling via UPS ground.

Upon inspecting the unit, I discovered that the fit and finish was also very low-quality and low-grade. The "walnut" finish had the appearance of a spray tan, and walnut should be very dark brown. All of the pieces did not look like they had gone through a planer, and I don't think anything was even sanded.

There was no way to ascertain where my order was in the production queue via the website. I had to contact the Help Desk via Live Chat, who then contacted the warehouse. I know this is a job shop, but any production facility knows how long it takes to manufacture the products it sells, regardless of options, finishes, etc.

Lastly, after contacting NHS about returning the bunk bed, they had the audacity to demand that I repack the bed better than they did so it would not arrive with even more damage. Seriously?!? Each encounter reinforced my opinion that this is not a company to do business with. Poor quality, antiquated internet presence, hapless customer service experience, and inept manufacturing/shipping personnel.

The only upside to dealing with them is knowing that I won't ever have to again. I would not recommend this place to anyone - ever.
