ra.solar I bought my solar system from ra

I bought my solar system from ra.solar 4 years ago and decided to add more panels to it last year. When I initially got the quote, it included batteries, but on the day of installation, I found out that PGE service wouldn't allow batteries. The system was installed a year ago, but there is currently no valid permit for the work, and the city hasn't inspected it. The monitoring hasn't been working for over 6 months, and for the past 6 weeks, I haven't had any power at all. It seems like Ra is a one-person operation, and it's impossible to reach anyone on the phone. I've been sending texts, emails, and the occasional voicemail (when the *** isn't full), but communication is almost non-existent. In short, I paid for the system in full, but it doesn't work properly, and getting any help from Ra is nearly impossible. I'm concerned because the system hasn't been inspected even after using it intermittently for a year.

ra.solar I wanted to get solar put in for my house

I wanted to get solar put in for my house. I checked out Energysage and Ra Solar had good prices and fast turnaround time at that time. I've been working with them since the start of the year (2022) and signed the contract in March 2022. It's been stuck ever since... design issues (first design and revised design) took a few months to City. They've been stuck at this stage since June. I recently sent them a letter to cancel their service request and their work through Energysage. I haven't heard from them since the email. Throughout the process, I've had regular email check-ins with both *** and cc'd to ***. The responses were pretty quick at first, but then they became less frequent. In most of the emails, I always asked about the schedule, reasons for delays, scheduling updates, and design issues. The project was supposed to be done by June, but it's still not in the permit approval process. There are other reviews on yelp.com about this company.

ra.solar Almost 7 years ago, we got solar for our house in ***

Almost 7 years ago, we got solar for our house in ***. Ra.Solar did it in under 5 days. We loved it so much that when we moved to *** almost 3 years ago, we wanted solar on that roof too. We called Ra.Solar expecting great service again. They completed it in under 5 days. "Okay, bring on the solar energy," we thought. Since November, we've been going back and forth with this company to finish the project, but it's still not done. Even though our solar can give us "free" electricity, we've paid PG&E at least $3,000.00 in electrical charges since then. We've contacted Ra.Solar many times, through calls, emails, and texts. We thought we had it under control, but lately, they haven't given us any updates. We just want our solar to work and not waste electricity. We have all the records to prove it.

ra.solar RA Solar is not the company to do business with

RA Solar is not the company to do business with. We contacted them in January. Everything went off without a hitch, panels got installed. A month later, I noticed one panel wasn't working. I attempted in vain to get someone to call me back, let alone come out and find out what the problem was. I posted a bad review on Facebook about my experience, and within a half an hour, the owner of the company called me. He came out, found out what the problem was, fixed it, and then gave me a credit for the system as it didn't generate what he told me it would. We decided to give him another chance as we wanted to upgrade the system and add more panels. He sent us a quote in 2020. We contacted him early in 2021 to get the work on the schedule. I have got nothing but a run around since. No contract. A date for installation, months in advance. I called the owner several times during that time period, asking for a contract and asking if things were on schedule, and was told every time that it was on schedule and that his office would send me a contract. We never got a contract, and hence installation day is here and nobody showed. If you want the run around and want to spend a lot of time chasing your contractor, this is the company for you. If you want a more professional experience, I suggest you find someone else. PS: I would give them zero stars if I could.

ra.solar I signed a contract with ra

I signed a contract with ra.solar on February 3rd for solar panels and battery installation. They said it would be done by 3/14/22. I gave them $1,000 when I signed and $15,192 for design and permits as per the contract. They claimed to have a design ready, but I haven't seen any permits yet. They kept delaying the installation date and finally said it would be in May. They always have excuses and rarely respond to my questions. And when they do, they just make vague promises about something happening eventually.

ra.solar ***, the owner of FREE ENERGY SYSTEMS, INC

the owner of FREE ENERGY SYSTEMS, INC., who operates as RA Solar, collected $38,800 upfront installation cost for the solar project for ***. USE *** financed the project through Energy Loan Network. After multiple attempts, *** and the RA Solar team cancelled the solar installation date for no good reason. I had to call them on the installation day each time to find out the installation would not happen. *** agreed to cancel my project and refund the $38,800 cheque to USE ***. The cheque he sent to USE *** did not clear after two attempts by the bank. *** cannot tell me when he will send a good cheque of $38,800 to have the loan paid off. I am filing this complaint to collect the $38,800 amount back from ***.

ra.solar Date of the final transaction: August 19

Date of the final transaction: August 19. Amount paid to Ra Solar $13,930. Ra Solar installed solar panels on the roof, but the installation was faulty. The roof is leaking and water has entered the surrounding area. There is a water stain observed. The leak is directly coming from where the solar panels are located. I requested a roof repair on November 12th. The CEO scheduled a repair date for November 24th, but the technician called in sick. They said they would reschedule for the following week (week of November 29th) and let me know, but they never did. I have tried contacting Ra Solar and the CEO through phone, text, and email, but I have not received any response. It has been 3 weeks since the initial request. Delaying the roof repair will likely cause further damage to the interior as the rainy season is approaching. I need the roof to be repaired as soon as possible.

ra.solar We hired RA Solar to install solar panels & a home battery for ** in Sept 2020

We hired RA Solar to install solar panels & a home battery for *** in Sept 2020. They installed the *** battery and were supposed to apply for the *** Self-Generative Incentive Program (SGIP), worth $16,194, as soon as the installation passed inspection. We are now at the end of January 2023, more than 2 years after it's been installed, and RA Solar has still not sent in the application for us. The owner of RA Solar, *** , had assured us in multiple calls and emails, both to us and PG&E, that he would take care of the application. We filed an extension last year after our initial application deadline passed and we received a new application due date of March 2023. Unfortunately, we are not allowed to file the application ourselves. It has to be done by the installer. But the installer continues to ghost us and we are at risk of losing a sizeable credit of $16,194. The credit incentive was one of the main reasons why we decided to install the home battery, otherwise the cost would have been prohibitive.

ra.solar I asked for a solar design for my rooftop from ra

I asked for a solar design for my rooftop from ra.solar on June 13, 2022. I looked at a few proposals and chose Ra Solar for the job. Before the solar installation, my house needed a new roof. After getting the bids for the roof, I scheduled the project and paid Ra Solar a deposit of $11,680 on July 15, 2022. I also told them that the roof would be done by August 15, 2022. They said the installation would happen on August 30 and 31, 2022. But on August 30, 2022, the CEO of Ra Solar called me and said he wanted to delay the installation for 30 days because of some customer issues. I reluctantly agreed to the new dates of September 29 and 30, 2022. On September 29, 2022, two guys from Ra Solar came to my house at 10:00AM PST. They said they were starting the installation and stayed for about 5 hours, leaving at 3:00PM. All they did was put a plastic box and some electrical wire conduit on the outside of my garage. One of the guys came back on September 30, 2022, at 10:30AM. He put some railing on the roof and finished at 1:00PM, saying the system would probably be installed on Monday, October 3. I called the CEO several times last week. I also responded to customer support at Ra on October 5 and 10, but got no response. This company seems really careless or like they're running some kind of scam with creditors and equipment. I want a refund because they didn't actually deliver the system.

ra.solar I'm really worried about being scammed

I'm really worried about being scammed. I bought solar panels from Ra Solar in May 2022 and paid them almost $10000 as a deposit and for the design. Their communication is really bad and I don't trust that they will actually follow through. I signed a contract in May 2022 and tried to confirm the initial installation date for October 10, 2022. Ra Solar confirmed this date, but on the day of the installation, they told me that the solar panels were out of stock, even though I had just received confirmation. They rescheduled the installation for December 8, 2022. As the date approached, I sent several emails and texts to Ra Solar and the owner to confirm the installation, but they often didn't reply for several days or even weeks. Eventually, Ra Solar confirmed the new installation date. On December 5, I tried to confirm the installation again, but the owner said he had poor cash flow and wanted me to pay the panel distributor directly for the solar panels. He said he would send me the invoice from the distributor that day, but I never received it. The night before the second installation date, they said there was a chance of rain and the installation might be cancelled. The next day, no installation took place. I expressed my frustration with Ra Solar's lack of professionalism and asked for a refund. The owner, ***, convinced me to let him finish the job the next day and asked me to pay the remaining balance of $3500 upfront. However, according to the contract, only $2034 was due at the time of inspection and $1034 at the time of panel turn-on. The next day, I received a message saying that the installer's van had broken down. Over the next four days, he made many promises to call me, but never did, and gave several excuses for why he couldn't call. Since then, he has been impossible to reach.
