The beaker in the electrical panel has gone out three times. The first time was just after the solar was placed. The solar system was out for three months. During this time I incurred $900 true-up. Sunrun was not aware the system went out until I contacted them.
I was told by the salesperson that Sunrun would upgrade the panel if needed, at no cost to me. I have only had the solar for about a year and the electrical breaker has gone out two more times.
The second time it went out, the solar was out for two months. When I notified the customer service person for the third failure. I was informed someone would come out in September, a month later.
I responded and said this was not fair. The agent responded by sending me instructions on how to fix it myself. The customer service person always quotes my Sunrun contract. In the contract it states "You must not tamper with the system. Doing so will void the the warranty and service obligations".
I will receive another true-up due to this. I cannot afford to pay these extra bills incurred due to the failure and delayed responses to fix this failure.
This is not good customer service. I will not recommend your company to anyone.
Desired outcome: Fix the issue or remove the solar and fix all damages to the roof after removal of the system at no cost to me. Guarantee there will be no roof leaks.
