On a recent trip to england, i elected to use a AAA travel money card as a way to access cash i already had (they are supposed to be the replacement for travelers cheques). However, i found out afterwards that the fee is 7% on currency exchange. This is printed in the terms and conditions, but as this is a major part of using the card (safely carrying cash to a foreign country) i think it should be stated up front with the rest of the fees. Had i just used my visa card and debit card (at 1%) i would have saved $120.
