While visiting with family down in Massachusetts, my husband and I got into a car accident. This left me with grievous injuries which required Emergency Medical treatment. While being transported to the hospital I suffered further injuries due to the erratic nature of the care I was being provided by one Mr Tj Martineau( even though the name badge read LT, upon further inquiry at the hospital I was informed this Emergency Medical responders name was TJ Martineau, license number P0904463). He was very distraught and distracted. It took him four times to administer an IV, which resulted in my entire arm becoming bruised at the sight of injection. During the commotion of the multiple attempts, he ripped his gloves and I watched as he handled the needle essentially bare-handed on his last attempt of administering the IV... Before I could tell him to stop, he had already got the needle in. Three days after my transport I developed a massive infection in that arm at exactly the spot the IV was administered. Upon contacting the Massachusetts Office of Emergency Medical Services they failed to take any action in holding Mr Tj Martineau accountable, as it seemed to be swept up under the rug entirely. With such a response I have had to start legal proceedings to hold this Emergency Medical Service responder accountable, so that others don't fall victim to the same type of malpractice.

Claimed loss: Injury

Brewster Ambulance really managed to turn a bad situation into something worse. Could’ve been worse — you’re taking action to ensure this kind of negligence doesn’t happen to others. It's disappointing when those who are supposed to provide care end up causing more harm, especially when accountability is nowhere to be found.

called 911 on 11 January 2022 in the evening! The ambulance service came out to my location in *******, *************! I explained to the ambulance technician, Tj Martineau that I was not feeling well and that I needed to be transported to the hospital! They refused to take me, I was told that I only had Covid and the hospital could not do anything for me! I did call back again on the afternoon of 20 January! I demand that they take me to the hospital because I was feeling a lot worse than on the 11th! The real tall ambulance technician from the 11th was there again arguing with me in regards to taking me to the hospital! My room renter finally asked him if he was a doctor and he told him no! There was also a ******* fire truck and a ******* ambulance that also responded on the 20th and the others were just looking at each other in disbelief that the ambulance technician was arguing with me to transport me to the hospital! In arriving at the hospital, I was seriously dehydrated, very low blood pressure, yellow jandis my heart was in stress my kidneys were shutting down and I had floaters in both my eyes! I was told while in the hospital that I had a bad uti! I have been told since that time by a medical professional that in a couple more days I would have been dead!
