It has been 3 weeks since I've moved in my place and I am still without power. I moved in 7/20/24 and was told service will be on 7/23/24. July 23rd came and went. I reach out and constantly put on hold 4-5 hrs per call every day since the 23rd. I reached out to the Board of Public utilities they are just as rude and ignorant. A JCP&L em[loyee clearly confirmed a different account with social just similar name; that account has an outstanding balance of $1669. I said it wasn't mine. Next thing I know 2vdats later after this rep took all my info had me on hold for an hour; that balance was transferred to me . When I checked the other balance on the other account they owe $0. The BPU told me to own the balance get help to pay for it. They want me to break get desperate and do an illegal thing or desperate enough to own it & pay it. These are the utilities tho. Torturing low income customers into owning bills not of their own , I have recorded conversations of this. But I waited this long Ill keep waiting but I am reaching out to Gov. Murphy's office and whomever else needs to know about these types of I'll practices going on in the state!
