George Stobbs of Stobbsie Fitness review: Character conduct / deceitful

George was deceitful and misleading. I would never trust this man again.

I needed a new van for my family and for work. George requested a late night call to make arrangements for the sale of his ex training gym van.

We agreed a price subject to it all being well.

I arrived the next day on the basis it was in good condition. Im no MOT expert but george assured me he was an MOT handler in the army for years and that the van would pass fine. Dispite only 1 day left on the MOT. His social media profile boasts military position.

Due to him highlighting his service for our country and my admiration for our servicemen. I took him on good faith that it would be fine.

When i got it on the motorway, the whole van shook when reaching 60.

When i took it to be MOT'd it cost me £500 to get it through. Problem with the door and wheels. Plus leaking diesel on the engine.

I messaged George with the paperwork and asked to discuss meeting somewhere in the middle on the coat. He told me the garage were 'pulling my pants down' and that it should have been fine. Its my problem and that he would no longer communicate.

I then took it to VW commercial van center for a health check who told me that the cam belt and clutch would need to be done £700.

Ober brief discussions me and george spoke lf our roles as fathers and supporting our families. That i have a budget i was working to.

He was more than happy to leave us in this position with added costs due to being mislead into buying a poorly maintained van.

Its partly my fault for not knowing how to do better checks. But i though better of people than to be so deceitful. Especially another father and ex serviceman playing on his military role to gain trust.

I hoped being respectful and considerate in my messages to him, he would be reasonable. But he had no intension of being reasonable. He was just jappy he got his money and the van was gone.

Disgusting behaviour.
