I ordered a pair of Guess boots on the 30th of December I was asked to pay $118.20 using paypal, which I did.
I received a payment confirmation but it was made out to Liu Yao Hui and the payment was sent to [protected]@gmail.com.
I still have not received the boots and I've tried contacting them using the form on their website but have had no reply. When I log in all it says is the order is processing.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Exactly the same thing happened to me. My email was from
Joanna but my paypal payment went through to Yang Zheng Hui. This made me suspicious so I tried to contact the seller using the email address on the invoice (Chandrakioodman@gmail.com - also suspicious) but this bounces back as undeliverable. The contact form on the website does not get any response and there is no contact number or postal address for the store. This is a scam, please avoid! I've lost $156 and am currently in the process of trying to claim it back through Paypal
Did You get back your money? I have the same problem.. I ordered shoes 9/01/2014 and still haven't get them. I am trying to contact them and get any information about my order but I don't get any reply. I would like to know if it is possible to get money back.
I bought mine through Paypal so I opened a dispute and, thankfully, Paypal have found in my favour and are crediting the money back to me. You are insured for purchases made through Paypal, so I would advise you to go to the resolution centre on their website and open a dispute.
Thank you for your response. I have just done it. I have a hope I can get my money back same as you.
Same happend to me - Paypal is on it...
spread the word - Shoes fasion is not a proper website! Yang Zheng Hui... shame on you!
We had exactly the same experience with these ###. But if this is going on for so long, how come payments to them through paypal are still possible and not blocked?
Ditto! Exact same experience. Same company name: "Joanna" but noticed the url was "hlhhotsales.com" (first red flag) and the "home" button in their website takes you to "Styles Casual Clothes Store (second red flag). The purchase was paid through PayPal but I noticed payment went to a "hou wen jun" at an unverified address (third red flag). After two weeks, I sent e-mails to their supposed customer service rep: "Chandrakioodman@gmail.com" (mail was returned - no such account"), replied to confirmation e-mail to "melisuszynski@vip.163.com" (no response), tried contacting them through the website (no response), and sent an email to the recipient's address according to PayPal: "McdfConnell@aol.com"... (no response). Incidentally, I happened to have aol e-mail so I was able to check the status of that last e-mail address, and it said "unread"...gee what a surprise! It's going on three weeks now since I've made my purchase (boots). I started to open a dispute but PayPal suggests I wait longer to open a dispute. I guess I do have 45 days, but I'm getting nervous after reading all this I'm convinced it's a scam. Maybe I'll also call my credit card company and file a disputed charge complaint. I feel like such a fool. These are evil people! Unfortunately, there are lots of them in the world that make it bad for the honest businesses and customers. The only solace I have is knowing I'm not alone. BTW: I looked up HLHHOTSALES.COM in "whois" and it says the domain is registered at GoDaddy.com. Unfortunately it's through a company called "Domains by Proxy" that is in business to hide the domain owner's identity (silly me...I should've guessed that!). It says you can file a complaint with them, though, and they're located here in Scottsdale Arizona, the state where I live, so I think I'll do that. I also notice they use a company called "Zen Cart" for their online sales. I think I'll pay them a call as well, maybe they'll terminate their contract. Not that all this will do much good. They'll just open up under a different name. Like Cockroaches...you just can't exterminate them! Oh well, lesson learned.
Hi ArizonaJan, unfortunately from what you have said it seems that you were indeed scammed. I got my money back in full from Paypal so it will be possible for you too. I really wish something could be done to stop these b******s!
I had a similar experience on a different website. I have large feet and was happy to see the pair of sneakers still in my size. Anyway, I came across hlhhotsales.com and found shoes i wanted to get someone and was surprised that they stocked larger sizes and I know for sure that particular brand only goes up till a size 10 and sometimes 11. I recalled my misfortune with the other website and decided to Google reviews on the website to see if something came up and sure enough, here I am. PayPal will refund you the money if you dispute it. That's what they did for me before when it happened. I am however surprised why PayPal won't close such people's accounts because it's obvious they are just out to scam people.
Thanks for your encouragement. I just filed a claim with PayPal. I also spoke with a live representative, encouraging them to shut down this fraudulent website and cancel the client's PayPal account. I also referred them to this complaints board so they can see how many other people they are ripping-off. Hope it helps.
Same experience for me on http://www.hlhhotsales.com/. I ordered more than 2 weeks agao and my order is till in processing. I sent mail to Chandrakioodman@gmail.com and mail was undeliverable. I contact by the website and no answer... I just opened a claim on paypal and I hope to have my money back.
They are now under shoeonmall.com reported them to paypal immediately.
These people or person are now using shoeonmall.com as a fake website
