Kars4Kids no pick up or tax receipt

My car was picked up in July. The driver called about 20 minutes before pick up. I told him where it was on my property and reminded him that I needed a receipt. He took the car and left no receipt. When I called dispatch, they said that their drivers don't carry receipts. When I complained that they took my belongings without giving me a receipt and that I would never use them again, she said, "We do all of the donation car pick ups. That will be your problem. Not ours." I then called the 800 Kars4Kids number. They apologized for the dispatcher/driver's behaviors and said that they would send a pick up acknowledgement right away and an actual valued tax receipt following the auction of the car. It is now a month later and I have received NOTHING from them. I am furious. I highly disrecommend helping these people if they can not get more organized. I would have been better off doing a trade in and then giving that money to charity. This has been excessive work and frustration and disappointment.

Kars4Kids They are slow on their paperwork - compromises your safety, read on

Watch out.
I donated a vehicle, did my diligence, filled out my paperwork - submitted my changes to the DMV.
They didn't do their end of the bargain.
Apparently, the subsequent buyer of my car crashed it, and when the car was impounded I was listed as the previous owner rather than Kars4Kids or whoever handled the auction for Kars4Kids...
So what happened then you ask? Well, I got a notice from the LAPD - with the new buyers name and my name and address listed as the "previous owner" and the impound garage that the car was sitting in.
That new owner...then took it upon himself...to take my address and try to pay me a visit...- Thank God I live in an enclosed location with security because he was not allowed to my front door.
This is disconcerting and frightening, apparently the man was very creepy.
When I called Kars4Kids to tell them about this and to see what they could do - they did nothing about it but tell me that they didn't reveal my name. The point is lost here that they didn't do their job in a timely manner or the "previous owner" of the vehicle would not have been listed as me. Someone is not doing their paperwork in a timely manner...and now...my safety has been compromised. The Vehicle was purchased over a month after I had donated it...and the paperwork had not been filed...
incompetent!
I feel helpless.
Don't use this service. You've been warned.

Kars4Kids Refund

My husband and I donated a car to Kars4Kids back in late May. We received the vacation voucher and were contacted by WorldWide Travel Center, and we setup reservations for the location they had available. When we got the confirmation letter with instructions telling us upon arrival we had to go to this Guest Center that would then tell us what hotel we would be staying at and also had to do this tour with them and do survey afterwards, something along those lines. Basically we had to work for them during our stay period that they cover! With a one year old, we could not be placed anywhere nor would it be possible to be subjected to their agenda with him either. So we called the travel agency and told them we want to cancel our reservation, which we had paid $60 towards due to a $10 processing fee and a $50 reservation fee which get refunded unless you cancel less than 24hrs in advanced. So upon cancelling we were told we would receive that refund upon processing. A few weeks go by and we get our credit card statement which doesnt show a refund of the charges, so we call up. Told that the person handling refunds is unavailable but all they could tell me was that there was no refund processed on our account. I left a v/m message for the woman that does refunds. Next day, after not getting called back, I called again. Magically now it shows the woman processed a refund on my account. Eventhough I was angry she couldnt call me back to tell me, I was glad something was done. A couple weeks go by, still no refund on my credit card. I call back again, to complain and ask where my refund is. I've made about 3 dozen phone calls to this place about this refund. Never is this woman available to speak with, never has she called me back, I doubt she even exists! One rep told me, they arent capable to refund electronically that a check will be mailed to me and to just wait a few more days I should receive it. A week, now I'm pissed. No check, no refund. At that point, its 3 MONTHS since I cancelled! I call back, try to speak with a manager/supervisor, they dont have one they can transfer me to. I had to call a seperate number which connects to a voicemail that is pretty much there just so they dont have to hear people's complaints. I left a message anyway just in case a manager would call me back, nothing! This was a month ago. I've called a few times since then, reps tell me "Oh you'll just have to wait a little longer.." My response "How long do I have to wait for a $60 refund?" ...It is now 4 MONTHS! No refund.

Kars4Kids Questionable practices

I recently Donated a 92 Chevy Custom Van to KARS4KIDS.ORG. and was given a letter Of donation in the amount of $500 for a vehicle that was worth in excess of $3000. It was evident when I wrote the organization they couldn't care less about fair market pricing and unfortunately after the fact I discovered the number of complaints lodged against them in the past. I would think not twice but 10 times before having any dealings with them.. unless you don't mind being Taken for a Ride in your own Car.

I worked in the auction its not the organization fault, but the auction they know they can get away with the selling price, it what they charge that the public does not know about, just for towing no matter the distance it is $250.00. To park and wait for the title the organization is charged $475.00. This is per month, the charge for the dealer to but the vehicle is $250.00. The auction is for profit, the organization is non profit, who wins it the auction. It should be illegal to donate a vehicle to a non profit organization. But who is going to listen, people just want to get rid of their vehicle. and the easy and convenient way is to donate.

Under the new IRS rules, the donor can claim either $500 or the amount the car is actually sold for, whichever is more. That is why Cars4Charities puts minimum bids on all their auction cars. That way the cars aren't sold for peanuts. Contact them at http://www.cars4charities.org/

Kars4Kids is itself a scam. They lie about where their money goes. Kars4Kids benefits Joy For Our Youth, which in turn gives all its money to Oorah an organization which helps to send Jewish children to Yeshivas. See this report:

/URL removed/

Also watch out for reports on the cucumber.com, also owned by the same people. No surprise they are involved in the worldwidetravelcenter.com scam.

Also, check out this $65, 000 settlement Kars4Kids was required to pay for their false claims.

http://attorneygeneral.gov/press.aspx?id=4275

This is from the above link:

"According to the settlement agreement, these groups solicited for contributions in Pennsylvania through a vehicle donation program in order to benefit disadvantaged children, but failed to properly inform donors that their contributions would only benefit services for children of certain religious affiliations. Additionally, JOY allegedly solicited for charitable contributions without being properly registered with the Pennsylvania Department of State and failed to include state-required disclosures in radio, print and Internet solicitations."

And much more here including alleged child abuse by Oorah administrators:

As of 2005, the IRS changed the laws regarding tax deductible receipts for donated vehicles. Before 2005, Kars 4 Kids was able to issue a tax deductible receipt equal to the Kelly Blue Book value of the vehicle. However, with the changed law in effect, Kars 4 Kids can only issue a receipt for the amount the vehicle sold for. While your van may have had a higher market value, the actual resale value is generally significantly lower.

Kars 4 Kids is a genuine charity that runs real programs to benefit children. We work hard to attain the maximum benefit from our donations to help as many children as possible. However, our efforts would be in vain without our generous donors. We do our best to gain the utmost from our donated vehicles to ensure the maximum tax deduction for our donors.

Kars4Kids Fraud

What a joke. We donated our car to Kars 4 kids and were told we would get a 2 night 3 day hotel stay with World wide travel center. I was told to send a check and credit card info and a signed statement that the hotel could charge me for 'damages'. I felt uneasy about this and called the place we donated our car to they assured me that World wide travel center was a legit company so I fell for the b.s. and gave all of my info, sent a $3 reactivation fee and have been told over and over that there are no reservations available. I have called over and over and I either get cut off or told to pick another date or destination. I wasted hours and hours giving new dates and destinations only to be told that low and behold there is nothing available that day! What a surprise. I asked to speak to a manager and was hung up on! I called back and somehow was cut off. I complained again to kars 4 kids and have not heard back yet.

These kars 4 kids [censored] are total scammers. Loosing millions in ponzi schemes and bad real estate deals and spending many times more money on advertising than on their actual charity. Also they seem to value all cars at $500 to avoid gov reporting.

I donated my car 7 weeks ago and Kars 4 Kid has still not sent me my tax recipe and my vacation voucher. Anyone else have this problem? They just say they are trying to get the best price for my car. In the mean time I want to file my taxes. I think 7 weeks is enough time to auction a car.

HI, Kars4Kids is a scam operation...I recently donated a car to them - they couldn't find any record of it, finally did, they gave me a receipt for $500.00 - I did a good and went to the FlDMV and found out the car really sold for $3050.00..
I plan on suing and taking this to the media to expose the fraud.

Just got back from our trip using the Vacation Breakaway offer. No problems and pretty easy. I was apprehensive after reading this. I did, however, only get the standard $500 receipt. That was lame.

Donated a really nice 2000 Acura TL with 104, 500 miles that had been sitting in my garage, received a receipt for $500. Have noticed that many people have been issued a $500 receipt regardless of the value of the car. Could somebody in the pipeline be pocketing the difference between the actual funds received and the $500. This looks very very suspicious.

I am not sure about the Cars for Kids organization as a whole, but we donated our car (2008 BMW 3 series) and received a Vacation Breakaway hotel voucher. We had no issues using it and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Ocean City, MD. The travel agent was extremely patient and researched some really good options for us. We paid a total of $27.00 in taxes for two nights. Not bad for $110 a night hotel room. I believe the company that did the booking was Vacation Service Center or Travel Service Center. Something like that? I see there are some complaints for a company called World Service Center? Who are they? Did anybody else have no issues or did I get lucky?

I donated two cars each had a problem that could be fixed for about a thousand dollars. Nice late(ish) model cars with no rot or dents. The tires and rims alone were worth well over a thousand dollars. Got a tax voucher for $500.00 each. Total scam.

Kars4Kids Writes their own 100% All Fake Reviews!

What a joke... The $500.00 Tax Voucher is actually only worth $75.00 deduction from your taxes. You need to do the research and read the fine print within the IRS Tax Code or call your accountant and ask them, they will tell you the same thing. Upon further research Kars4Kids only benefits the Jewish kids of the family members of the founders and board of Kars4Kids. Its by New Jersey, something like a Compound/Jewish Community Center, completely off limits for the whole world except the Kars4Kids family members. A total joke when you dig and find out the truth about this greedy fake non profit.
They make on average $33 Million Dollars per year. They contract all the vehicle pick ups and dirty work through Copart.com and iaai.com

I scheduled a donation and was scheduled a towing company. The towing company named Atlantic Recycling gave me an ETA of 5-10 minutes. An hour later i called and they said an ETA of an hour. The man named Michael claimed the driver would call me when he was close by and they never called me. I was reassigned another company named Plakos and they never came either. Lies, lies, lies. I'm very mad because they wasted my time.

Kars4Kids Poor service!

We had a truck that we wanted to donate since it was still running, but we no longer needed it. I got online to find places that took vehicles as donations (expecting to write off it's value). DonateCars.com stated that they gave the money for donated vehicles to Kars-4-Kids. Good charity, I thought. They also told me I could write off the blue book value of the vehicle and I would also receive a voucher for 3 days 2 nights vacation. They came and got my vehicle, reassured me that they would send me a receipt for the blue book value of the vehicle ($1965) as well as this great vacation voucher. Received receipt for vehicle stating that I could claim $500 for the vehicle and the vacation voucher was through World Wide Travel Center (numerous complaints online about this company as well). I'm now wondering if my donated vehicle isn't being driven by one of their employees who got the car for free and if any money actually went to help kids at all. I know the vacation voucher is useless, but basically in my kindness, I've lost $1465, probably more since the tires were new. Beware and when in doubt, sell the vehicle rather than donate it or do more research about who you donate too.

Tim, e-mail the other information and I will take it to my next interview with the FBI. My next appt. with The DMV will be next week so if you have anymore pinks they signed there please send them. I have them following the Alias and the directors name who passed. Cameron put cars in their names because he thought he could hide them. DMV is tracing those names for tranfers. You can not hide the paper trail. You are doing a fantastic job brother. I will let you know when they hook up Tim Yarbrough. Then he will sing like canary!

Tim, Gingers real name is Ashley Jackson. She is in Fresno, Ca. at 452 Bedford, 93711. The only person using their real name is Tim Yarbrough. His address is 2170 Hanson ave. in Clovis, CA 93612. Tim is in deep, all the money he cashes checks for are in the 100, 000s of thousands. He signs V. Everett daily. Everyone in that office signs V. Everett. I just found that out. I am going to court with them and I am going to subpoena V. Everett. When he can not show and provide I.D. Jericho will fall. I am told to not allow mediation so we can get this scam on record. When its done I will e-mail you for your records. We are saving good people from supporting a thief and all his croonies. Cameron looks good in a red jumpsuit if they can find one to fit. But then again he is comfortable there. This is not his first time dropping the soap!

Tim, the FBI in Fresno has received all your information. Thank You for all your help. It will take time but this guy will be in JAIL. The antique cars you speak of are at Gearheads Garage in Sacramento, CA. They are in his fake name V. Everett and some are probably D.O.Smith. These are 2 names he uses to push the cars back to him. No one has ever traced the actions. The DMV is now following the paper trail to follow where all cars have gone and to whom. V. Everett is an alias and D.O. Smith has passed so no one is looking for DMV transfers until now. Thank You for having the guts to expose CAMERON ARBALLO. His sons mother is receiving a letter on how Cameron deceived the courts on their case. Tim you do know Cameron draws California disability ins. He claims to be disabled. Another one of his scams, then has Tim Yarbrough pull $10, 000 to $20, 000 a week and bring it to him. I have informed the FPD, FBI and DMV to just follow the paper. I use to feel sorry for Tim Yarbrough but he is in deep now. I am sending his ex-wife a letter on how he deceived the courts about his actual earnings. So he could keep his child support down. She needs to check the 1099 he gave to the courts to the one he filed with the IRS. I have the license numbers to the 2013 Cadillac Escalade 6GDM781 and the new chevy truck 8589301 he just bought.I am having the names of current owners pulled as we communicate.Bet it not Cameron Arballo.

V. Everett is a fake person. There is no such person. If you donate you are supporting Cameron Arballo. If you are O.K. with that go ahead. This man claims to be a pastor but puts Cameron Arballo no where on any paperwork. That is so the fools around him go to JAIL. Tim Yarbrough will be the first arrested because he is the president. His wife Avery and children can visit him in county. Arballo will go but Tim will be first.Tim does not reap any benefits. All monies are at Camerons disposal. Believe me there is alot. Tim told me Cameron has spent around $290, 000.00 since January 2014. That was in May 2014. He takes your donations and pays for his daughters divorce. He also sends her money constantly. Justin, his son gets money also frequently. According to Tim Yarbrough he sent them $105, 000.00 in 90 days. What is it using Don Smiths name on ONLINE CAR DONATIONS. Don passed several years ago. That is the lowest I have ever seen. GOOD JOB CAMERON!

Cameron Arballo is no longer anywhere on any Works of Life non-profits. Although he takes money from everyone of them. So when someone donates and think you are doing a good thing you are supporting Cameron Arballo and his children. This man uses a alias to keep from being found. He has a sucker named Tim Yarbrough who is the president in name only. I have spoke to Fresno PD, The FBI and the IRS. It is a matter of time before he is in JAIL. Do not give this crook any money. Donate to a real non-profit. Now sue me to shut me up. I have proof and will bury you in any court. So have that puppet you call an attorney get busy. McCormick, Barstow knows you have a AKA and is O.K. taking your case. There is no V. Everett. So being ordained V. Everett is fraud.Your post on Works of Life"Challenge to Change" should start with you being honest for once. Poor Tim Yarbrough will end up doing time in prison because you told him you cant get caught. Well you have and they are coming. The lowest you can get is using Don Smiths name still. I saw it on ONLINE CAR DONATIONS. That man passed about 4 years ago but it comes up he is still a director. You are ###!
