I cancelled my account with SPRUZ on July 4th 2021 (see attached). The company sent an email requesting confirmation of cancellation. I clicked on the link to confirm and received a link to a webpage that confirmed my site was cancelled. (see attached).SPRUZ has continued to charge my credit card monthly (for almost 2 years now).
I tried to call the company at the contact info listed (http://spruz.com
[protected]) and received a message that said "This number is not in service".
I contacted my bank to put in a complaint to dispute charges as well as stop future charges. They said the charge was too small to file a dispute claim; and the only way to stop charges was to get a new card with a new number. Given the number of auto-payments set up on my card, this is not an easy task - and my time is worth more than the $6.76 CD charge I suffer each month.
I am wondering how many other people this company bilks for small charges by not actually cancelling their accounts?
Desired outcome: 1.stop future charges to my credit card2. hold company accountable with refund and letter of apology.
