I visited the plasma donation center recently and had a disappointing experience. The staff seemed disinterested and lacked professionalism. The donation felt rushed and left me with concerns about my well-being. There are always new employees that don’t know what they are doing. They set up the machines wrong and one of them gave me a huge hematoma, see pictures. The nurses are inconsistent with their assessments. Nurse Monica is awful, she will defer you for reasons that do not make any sense. Also, there have been several instances where I have noticed dry blood on the counter and observed that the staff did not change their gloves between interactions after wiping up blood. Moreover, the blood pressure cuffs appeared to be dirty and emitted an unpleasant odor. I would not recommend this plasma donation center due to the subpar facilities, unhelpful staff, and overall negative experience.

BioLife Plasma Services - Plasma donation
They lost my protein sample, blamed it on UPS, and didn't have the courtesy to call me and let me know I couldn't donate. I drive approx. 30 miles round trip and with gas $6 a gallon this is totally robbery. They said they would call me when I could donate, but they won't. You try to get a hold of them no answer and straight to voicemail. Leave a voicemail and you will NOT get a call back is my experience. I laughed at the Assistant manager and said "You won't call me." Anyway. very messed up place. I am going to CLS next Friday and never coming back to Biolife. Shady shady shady. They also acted like it was my fault. As I was leaving the assistant manager snarkily yelled after me "have a niiiiice day." Liars, cheats, and thieves are the owners of Biolife as people hire like kind.
Desired outcome: A phone call
BioLife Plasma Services - Customer service and managers
This place is terrible. Today was the last straw, I will never return to this location. They treat donors like trash and blame the donors for their mistakes. Don't bother asking any manager for advice or question anyone at this place, they will answer differently each time. Don't bother speaking your mind about your own body's health, the staff will turn on you. They don't bother helping out the new donors, they left me alone for over 30 minutes sitting at a computer after I asked for help then they yell at me for not being where I was meant to be?! This location is a cluster of problems, each time you visit there will be some new issue. Donating to biolife isn't worth it, take your donations elsewhere to avoid the headaches.
Desired outcome: Shut down this location
BioLife Plasma Services - Never paid me on my 1st and 2nd visit. Nobody helping me
The worst service I have ever experienced on 7/21/20 9am shift. They never paid me my bonus for my first and second time and I'm already going to quit coming here because nobody talk to me when I walk to the front doors they asked me to sit down. I actually think they need to hire more people because they were just empty.
I even heard their own people asking where everybody was and they did not care that I walked out without my payment they told me it would be there in 30 minutes. It's already the afternoon and the same exact experience have been my first time because this is my second and they were both identically the same experiences.
BioLife Plasma Services - Customer service
Went to call this location today, only wanted to ask a simple question on whether or not it would be ok to donate at this location even if I went to another location about a year ago. In the midst of talking I wasn't warned I would be put on hold and got put on hold for a brief second and then they hung up abruptly on me. Immediately called back and was told I would be put on hold. Waited for 15 minutes and no response. At this point I was already close to the location and walked in to ask them since they couldn't talk to me on the phone for some unknown reason. Went in and was kind of greeted like I wasn't really welcome and they had a bit of a snippy attitude with me and even to one of the donors inside because they weren't sitting at the right spot near the enterance? The way the lady talked to me also not only confused me but she had a bit of a weird attitude like she was talking to me in a street lingo? I do not know how to describe it but it wasn't clear nor was it really informative or professional for this line of business. I don't intend on going to this location and felt so disrespected like my time was not even valued or welcomed. I really think this store should be taught better on how to respect their customers who come in let alone even talk to on the phone. What had me also upset was when I came in no one was on the phone with anyone so it honestly told me that they didn't feel like answering my phone call. Will not be returning here.
BioLife Plasma Services - Management/supervisor
On second donation, I was told that I needed a doctor's note since I brought up the fact during the first donation that I had a fractured hand. It had been several weeks and I didn't see what would prevent me from donating plasma. Even my primary care physician agreed. Yet he provided me a note. I brought in the letter Tues, the staff mentioned that I would have to wait till Fri to be cleared by the Medical person. I called Sat and the staff informed me that the person has yet to arrive at the location and to review the letter. I am very disappointed how this establishment is poorly handling the situation and having to wait. can't this be faxed and reviewed by someone else?
Disappointed? That sounds like the VIP treatment. Why do you actually donate. Chances are it’s going to take forever and then don’t expect to be fairly compensated. Oh, just a heads up. They probably activated your promo when you had your physical so you’re already well into your 30 days to make decent money. You can bring it to their attention that you were told that and I’ll tell you that’s not how it works it’ll be fine and then one day that promo will be gone from your app and they’ll tell you without the promo there’s nothing they can do. If there are any other plasma donation centers within an additional half hour drive, go to them. Unless you are OK spending three hours on about 50% of your visits and plenty more of the same miss directed diligence that you are experiencing. But they don’t sweat the important details at all. While you’re standing in line for an extended period of time play a little game with yourself and see how many times you see different employees go from one donor to the next without changing gloves.
