The Pep Boys - Fraudulent workers

(Total cost $150.00 two front tires) I had purchased some tires from pepboys. They told me I needed an alignment and that they could do it for me. I was in a rush and said no but then later returned for an alignment that they had offered for $50.00. Upon returning everyone said that they could not give me an alignment because of my year model of car. It was too old. So first off, they are all confused and miss informed. When returning a few weeks later, I argued that my tires were bald within a few weeks and that they should have at least attempted an alignment. No one explained to me that my warranty would be void or that they couldnt do anything for me if my car wasn't aligned. They were very poor at conveying any information necessary to keep my car in safe driving condition. As a result they yelled and were very disrespectful to me when confronting them about this issue. I am now running on very bald tires with a car that pulls heavely to the left. I blame them for this and would like them to at least make an attempt at aligning the car or sending me somewhere with a high rated discount to get this done. As well as free set of front tires. They treated me very poorly and were not organized and were as well letting people inside of the working area with out goggles. Very unsafe. I know they can help me out but they choose not to because they think they are right and or lazy. I would like to return to doing business with them but only if they come to help me out rather than reject me. Very unfair!

I took my car to PEP BOYS ( store #145) in Blasdell, NY in need of one tire replacement. I asked for one tire replacement. They said NY laws require two tire replacements. It can't be done with one. I was in a hurry so I agreed to get two tires replaced. When it was done my bills was $611.22 including taxes. Few days later, I looked at my statement. They charged me for TIRE INSTALLATION PACKAGE ($127.46).. 90 days wheel balance 2 tires..($35.96), road hazard warranty..($64.50), TPMS SNSR SERVICE KT,,($19.96), REBUILD TPMS ($2). I called and spoke with James on Monday June 26, 2023 at 1:44PM. I told him what was going on . He advised me to come into person on Wednesday June 26, 2023 to speak with Andy (store manager) to get the issue resolved. But I was busy with work so I can't come until Tuesday July 4, 2023. It was a VERY unpleasant experience. I showed the charges on my invoice and would like a refund on the 90 days wheel balance, road hazard warranty, tpms snsr service kt ( I don't know what this is. I asked but he didn't explain). Andy (store manager) refused to refund what I was requested. He said everyone whom got tires change paid for TIRE INSTALLATION PACKAGE. I said if you told me that. Can I see prove that PEP BOYS charged everyone else tire installation package for the past week. He changed subject and didn't want to show me prove. And the manner of customer services? I just don't understand.

I THINK BECAUSE I AM BLACK AND A WOMAN. THEY CAN WALK ALL OVER ME. DON'T LET ME TALK. THEY NEED TO BE TRAIN HOW TO TREAT PEOPLE WITH RESPECT AND MANNER. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS.

They need to tell customer what they are going to charge before services so customer can be aware.

If I have read the comment and reviews before hand, I would not have gotten my tires replaced here. I don't like to post bad reviews but I did try to talk with the manager at the store to get issues resolved. But...

I took my car to Pepboy for a diagnostic, although my friend told me all I need was maybe jut a new key because the old one was bent thats why I was not able to get to start. A man name Terrance called me the next day and told me list of things was wrong and would cause me $800 to get it fix. I spoke with a friend and they told me that its too expensive and he could get this fix. I called Pepboy boys back and told them that it was over my budget and I will do not need them to do any repair at this time. I told them I will pick up my car after work. When I arrive, they damage my car took everything apart and would not place them back like its original. The wire was hanging out and parts was everywhere. I did not authorized any repair but when I went back to pick up my car, they said I owe them $700. I was mad! I did not pay 700 but I end up paying about a 100 just to get my keys and to damage my car. The Manager name was Crystal with no managements skill nor do she have any experience with customer service. I will never recommend anyone to step foot in Pepboys if you are needing a car repair or if you are looking for a good service. #1 worst service but very good in scamming! Stay away people, this is real.

I had my car towed to Pep Boys in East Irondequoit on 1/15/12 in the afternoon. I was told at there time that there was "no one available" to look at my car and that "someone would be available on 1/16/12" and could do a diagnostic that would cost me $98 to find out what was wrong before any work would be done. This morning I waited and waited for someone to contact me about the car. Shortly after 10, I called them and was told that there was no Master mechanic available and that the car would be looked at on 1/17/12. They stated that another mechanic might be able to look at it later. I told them to not touch my car and that I wanted to speak to the manager. The person said that the manager wasn't there. I asked for the assistant manager and was told that he wasn't there either. I wondered who the hell was running the store? I asked for the name of the manager and was told it was Kenny. I asked for his last name and was told that he did not know. I reminded him again to not touch my car and that I would be right down. I called my insurance company who was willing to re-tow the car to another car service and went down to Pepboys to talk to Kenny. He stated that their (one) master mechanic called in today and that it "sometimes happens." I told him that it was a good thing that I called them about the car as it seemed like no one was going to call me about it. I told him that it was poor customer service and an inconvenience to me to have to call my insurance and have to re-tow my car someplace where they apparently had more than 1 master mechanic to look at my car. I just wanted other people to know about the inferior customer service that is offered from the Pep Boys that I went to. Also, not every car service charges for a mechanic to look at the car and determine the problem. Monroe Muffler does it for free.

I took my car to NTB for a power steering hose laek and they discoverd that i had a fuel leak underneath the air intake and to remove the intake would be a hour's worth of work at $100, So I decided to get another estimate qoute from Pepboys and they wanted to charge me 5 hrs $500 to 6 hrs $600 and i was startled at that estimate when i can clearly see 4 bolts only to remove then they say, all it's more to it, so i took it back to NTB and they were able to remove the intake less then an hour and diagnose the problem for $ 100 and it was a hose with 2 clamps on the side . Pepboys have out rages and rip off estimates

So some people say things about you grow up. You go to the pep boys in new Orleans you will probably get robbed in the parking lot by the manager

They told YOU, you needed an alignment and that they could do it for you.

YOU were in a rush and said NO.

Now you got ruined tires BECAUSE YOU were in a rush and said NO.

And you want to blame them?

Look in a mirror buddy, and blame the person you see.

Terrance was the so call the repair person not ASE certified, poor in service have no knowledge of repairing a car. Worst experience I had ever came across.
