Walgreens in Durango, CO (28 Town Plaza, Durango, CO 81301) has been short on pharmacists for some time. I am T1 diabetic and put my prescription in early. Now the two store pharmacies are closed, one it is not known when it might open — they said their temporary pharmacist skipped town. The website says my insulin prescription is filled, but I can't get into a store or contact them to find out where it is. I also can't transfer the prescription because another pharmacy has to talk to the Walgreens pharmacist. I may have to start over and have my doctor send the prescription to another pharmacy. I may run out of insulin before then.

Walgreens was inept before this, but now they did not inform those waiting for life-necessary drugs that they were imploding and to find a new pharmacy. This is negligence that should justify shutting them down. If a retailer wants to call themselves a pharmacy, they must tell their customers what is going on.
