Rite Aid - pharmacy refusing to transfer prescriptions for 1 1/2 months

On May 23, 2019 my doctor sent a new prescription to be filled, however the pharmacy did not fill the prescription. When the script came through it was put on hold and that is unacceptable. On May 28th I contacted Kim who works in the pharmacy and asked her to fill the prescription that was supposed to be filled on May 23rd. I met up with Kim the next day and got my prescription. On May 30th, I had my new pharmacy contact Rite Aid / Walgreens to transfer out all of my prescriptions that had refills as well as my 4 children's prescriptions that had refills remaining. The pharmacist Shayna Baker transferred only 1 of my medications instead of all my prescriptions that were requested. I had a total of 13 active prescriptions that were able to be filled / transferred. Refusing to transfer prescriptions is poor business practice and reflects the type of pharmacy manager you have working for your company. The pharmacy manager and pharmacy technician Chris Taylor states the reason for not filling my families medication is because we do not pick them up which is untrue. If you take a look for yourself you will see that meds are filled and picked up in a reasonable time frame. There may have been an occurrence or two when a script wasn't picked up on time due to scheduling issues or co-pay to high but that is no excuse for the pharmacy employees to decide for a customer when and if they can get their prescriptions filled when they are due. It has taken 1 1/2 months to get the pharmacy to finally transfer out the prescriptions originally requested. I contacted Rite Aid / Walgreens this evening and requested the prescriptions be transferred. Ginger called my new pharmacy this evening and transferred them finally. It's pretty shameful when you have to go around the pharmacy managers schedule to get your prescriptions transferred when they did in fact have refills and were transferable at the time they were first requested for transfer.
