My Husband and I rented a room #106 at the Wood Spring motel in Columbus, Ohio July 16, 2022-September 10, 2022. We were transitioning from Kentucky to Ohio.
They charged us the first night, I paid cash, we than stayed in the same room the rest of the time. They never changed rooms due to not having another one available. The first month I paid cash the second time I paid with a bank card .
Third time was I used a " different" bank card since the last card was destroyed due to us closing the account. Instead of using the new card number they used the first card I used. So when we checked out they could not return the money from our deposit since the number did not match my new card.
I worked my butt off cleaning the room since when we first moved in it, it was never cleaned properly. My dog was always crated when we left the room so he wouldn't be able to destroy anything. There was already damage to the room and we took pictures to cover us from any damages.
The guy at the desk said he would return our money but didn't know how since the numbers on the card on file didn't match. He called someone and they asked him if our house was ready and he said yes. He came across that he wasn't even going to give the money back because of the numbers not matching. So after a while we just left.
Desired outcome: We like to have our $189 sent to Louis Neal 6592 Chatham Rd, Newark, OH 43055
