I took my son and his best friend to see Dr. Strange this past Sunday, 6/5/22, at Thoroughbred 20 in Franklin, TN. This was our first movie outing since Covid and thought it might be nice after a very stressful Saturday. I pre-ordered the tickets and wanted to pre-order the food but wasn't able to according to the website. We arrived early enough to go to concessions to get snacks. There wasn't a long line and no one behind us so we didn't think we would be rushed. However, cashier #5233 apparently had a deadline to meet. While we were trying to decide what we wanted, she began to roll her eyes and huff and puff. Feeling pressured, we settled on a large popcorn, 2 large icees, and a mega oreo milkshake. She said that the milkshake would have to be delivered to our seat. I asked, "why?" and she said, "because it just does."
I had to get my phone back out of my purse and re-open the app to confirm our seat numbers. The app wouldn't connect to wifi. She then began tapping the counter with her nails and asked "can't you just order something else?" I asked her to give us a moment because the phone wouldn't connect. After a minute I gave her the information and we completed the transaction. She rudely tossed me my receipt and we made our way to the theater. After being seated we tried the popcorn and discovered it was stale. About 25 minutes later the milkshake was delivered. What was supposed to be a
"mega" milkshake was only about 12 ounces. The charge was 9.49. I'm fairly certain we were overcharged. Lastly, the people seated in front of us were drunk and disruptive during much of the movie. They were up and down, staggering, etc.
