I purchased a 2003 Staurn Vue AWD about 2 years ago. I am extremly angry and frustrated with everything about this vehicle. My car is currently in the shop to replace or fix the transmission, but after reading all the complaints on this weeb site, I am wishing the damn thing would just blow up. I have been told that GM will pay 50% of the repair, or $5000 towards a new GM vehicle. please let me state that the $5000 has to be used towards a BRAND NEW vehicle, not used. So I'm wondering what they are going to do about the $10, 000 that I still owe on it. And here's the kicker, I am now going to list for everyone the things I have replaced NOT fixed but replaced on this vehicle in the last 2 years.
1. Gas pedal
2. ignition
3. Steering wheel spring and gasket
4. passenger door lock
5. Back windsheild wiper motor
6. my whole drive train shaft
Now for the other things that need to be fixed besides the transmission
1. Gas tank ( doesn't read correctly)
2. Front drivers side windshield wiper motor
3. Window back driver side motor
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT BUY A SATURN
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
How do we get justice for the bad pitiful condition of an automobile we have? My problems has been and still is about the same as you or most Vue owners (2003) . I was told and "granted the $5000 towards a new vehicle" as well. However, I owe $6000 myself on the Vue. So its a wash for me as well. But, I was not told that GM will pay for half of the charges to replaced the transmission. Is this true?
I HAVE HEARD THAT THEY HAVE OIL LEAKS, BUT AM BEING TOLD THAT WAS ONLY THE 4 CYL. DOES ANY ONE OUT THERE KNOW IF THIS IS TRUE OF THE 6CYL. AS WELL
